"Diasmuerte, use Flamethrower!" Juliana Escarlata, Top student at the Naranja Academy and currently the top Champion of Paldea, was in a Pokémon battle. Her female Skeledirge opened her mouth and shot a stream of flames at her opponent.

"It won't be that easy! Mardigras, dodge and strike back with Aerial Ace!" Nemona, President of the Student Council, former Top Champion and best friend/rival to Juliana gave orders to her Meowscerada. The plant/Magician/cat Pokémon was surrounded by airwaves and shooting forward, avoiding the flames.

"Put up a wall of fire in front of you!" Juliana said as her Skeledirge breathe fire onto the ground, causing it to rise up as a wall in front of her, preventing the Meowscerada couldn't get close.

"Grassy grapple, and Night Slash, Mardigras!" Nemona said. The Meowscerade nodded and the floating flower, which actually is connected with an invisible string, is used to grapple on a nearby ledge to lift herself higher before jumping over the fiery wall. Her claws glowing black, she was ready for the next blow.

But there was a flash of light and suddenly Dismuerte displays a crystalline skin and shine, as well as a crown with a crystalline candle chandelier on top of her head. The crown now blocked the Dark Type attack. "Right now you can't do super-effective damage." Juliana said. "And if you Terastralize now, you'll lose the STAB on the strongest non-STAB attack."

'Dang, that's clever. I'm at the disadvantage…it's great'. Nemona thought. Juliana was always keeping her on the ropes. Only Juliana has ever been able to do that. No one else. That's why she was right to pick her as a rival. And how she got a dear friend out of it too. She couldn't help it, Juliana, whenever she enters a battle, she had this look of determination, of joy. She was both serious and having fun. She looked so pretty when she did that…wait, where did that come from?

"Torch Song!" a fiery bird-shaped projectile shot from Diasmuerte and hit Mardigras straight on, whom after her trainer was distracted couldn't have done anything but dodge, and didn't keep that up forever. It hit her and knocked her down, with swirly anime eyes.

"Meowscerada is unable to battle, Juliana and Skeledirge win." A random student acting as the referee said.

"Wait, what?" Nemona said. She had gotten lost in thought. She had lost the match. Normally she didn't mind as she often put up a good fight. But a distraction like this…rookie's mistake.

And Juliana realized something was up too. "Nemona, are you okay?" Juliana asked.

"I don't know…" Nemona said. "I zoned out for a bit."

"What was on your mind that made you zone out?" Juliana asked worried. "You never zone out, you are so focused. A bit too focused sometimes, but that's actually quite endearing…er, you have been eating right? Sleeping well? Did someone say something mean to you? Is there someone I need to punch?"

"No!" Nemona said. "I er…" Nemona wondered why she zoned out. She only thought about Juliana, like she always did. Nothing wrong. Nothing wrong with thinking about strong, confident, pretty Juliana. Totally not. "I don't know."

"We need to take you to Nurse Miriam, she'll know what to do." She said as she grabbed Nemona's wrist and dragged her along.

'Whoa, Juliana is surprisingly strong.' She realize as she was being dragged along. Strong in every sense of the word. She wondered if Juliana would be able to carry her…

"I think it's getting worse, you're turning red, Nemona." Juliana said.

'She's also so sweet and concerned for me.' Nemona thought.

A few moments later, Nurse Miriam has done some tests with Nemona, with Juliana having been asked to wait in the hall for some privacy. "You seem perfectly healthy, no illnesses, injuries, no lack of sleep and nutrition. You are perfectly healthy."

"But I zoned out, I never zone out." Nemona said.

"Really? What did you think about before zoning out?" Nurse Miriam asked the young trainer.

"I thought about Juliana, but I always think about her. I mean, she is my dearest friend, and my rival." Nemona said. "I mean, why wouldn't I? She makes my life worth living. She challenges me, she brightens my day, I just feel happy when she's around. Everyone just thinks of me as the unreachable person, upon a pedestal, they're unworthy of me. But Juliana was never intimidated. She was just…her."

"You talk a lot of good about her…Nemona, have you ever been in love before?" Miriam asked.

"In love? I don't know but…wait, you think I'm in love with Juliana?" Nemona asked.

"Well, you are blushing, you light up when talking about her, and you zoned out thinking about her. I saw people with crushes before, they acted like you. Heck, I acted like that with my first crush." Miriam explained.

"Oh come in, I'm not in love just because I think of her all the time and everything feels so much better when she's around, or that I haven't thought about her carrying me or dreaming that she stands in front of me without cloth-Holy Arceus I am in love?" Nemona said as the realization sunk in. She grabbed her hair. "I…I think I'm really in love with Juliana. What do I do? I know nothing about romancing someone. Would Juliana even want me. Is she even into girls?"

"Well, I haven't dated in a while and I'm rusty, especially since the art of dating evolves over time as well. Maybe ask some friends for help?" Nurse Miriam suggested.

"Gonna get help!" Nemona said as she rushed out the door. She came back two seconds later. "Forgot my bag!" and turned around again to leave.

Shortly after Nemona left, it was the other teacher Raifort of History. She was limping. "Miriam, I need help."

"What is it this time, Rai-Rai?" Miriam sighed.

"I got hurt after falling." Raifort said.

"Falling?" Miriam asked.

"Falling for you?" Raifort said, dropping the fake limp and putting her arms around Miriam.

"If you wanted some alone time you could have just asked." Miriam noted.

"It wouldn't have been as much fun." Raifort said.

"I admit you got a point. Allow me to lock up the office so that we won't be disturbed. Let's hope today won't have too much injured kids, last time I had to hurry to get dressed, and wore my shirt inside out for the rest of the shift."

Nemona barged into Penny's room, where she and the other former Team Star Bosses were, as well as Arven because he had been making sandwiches for everyone. "I am in love with Juliana!" Nemona blurted out.

They all just blinked at her. "You say like that's something new." Penny noted as she slurped up some ramen noodles.

"Huh?" Now Nemona blinked, confused.

"Yeah, it was kind of obvious." Eri said. Even in her school uniform, she still had her usual facepaint on. "Not that it was bad, but you and Juliana always acted cut together."

"Wait, what?" Nemona asked.

"To get to the point, you have the subtlety of a Snorlax running through a porcelain shop, with a neon sign pointing at it." Mela said. While in school uniform she still hasn't removed her boots.

"Wait, everyone knew before me?" Nemona asked.

"Yeah we do. Nemona, you are a great gal, but you are obvious to anything not to do with Pokémon." Giacomo said.

"We even had a bet running on it. And you cost me a large amount." Ortega added. He pulled out his wallet and handed a large wad of cash to Mela, whom had a smug grin.

"You could feel the passion radiate under the unbreakable titanium armor it seems that strong women like you and Juliana are made off. When you battle and interact, you light up like the sun." Atticus waxed poetically, and some added theatrical gestures to it. And more ham then the butcher shop.

"But…she doesn't know…I just realized I…I don't know anything about love. I cannot confess. Ask me for a good battle strategy? Sure. What Pokémon would be best to balance a team out? No problemo! But asking out someone on a date, and for sure someone so dear I don't want to risk losing friendship…" Nemona said, her hands in her hair.

"Now, take a few deep breaths, Nemo." Arven said, using the nickname that only her closest friends call her. "We are pretty sure that we can help you with Juliana."

"Really?" Nemona asked, her eyes lighting up.

"I'm pretty sure, that a maiden like you, whom is strong and swift like Artemis, would also be able to make anyone swoon like the love goddess Venus. And like Hermes is a messenger, we shall help deliver your love message reaches the heart of Juliana!" Atticus added.

"Yeah, like the ninja whom missed the auditions five years ago and never got over it said, we'll help you. We got quite the experience." Mela said, holding Eri's hand. "Me and Eri have experience."

"Oh right, you're a couple. How did you confess?" Nemona asked.

"With some guts, some determination." Mela said as she put her arm against the wall right by Nemona. Japanese would call it a kabedon. "And lots of confidence."

"Didn't you confess during that one sparring match with Eri and when she had you pinned down you blurted out 'I love it when you step on me'?" Ortega said with a smug grin. Eri blushed 'eeped' and covered her face while Mela turned as red as her hair.

"OH, I'll stepping all over you, you little brat!" Mela said with gritted teeth.

"Try to catch me with those bulky boots of yours!" Ortega taunted.

"I never have problems with these boots." Mela said.

"Mela, you have to goose step to get around and there have been three incidents this week alone where you accidentally kicked a few people in the balls a few times." Giacomo pointed out.

"I am getting better at avoiding." Mela tried to run across the room, but she accidentally kicked Arven in the knackers. "Oh, I'm sorry sandwich boy!"

"It's ok…" Arven said, doubling over and speaking in a high pitched boy.

"So…how do I get started?" Nemona asked.

"Have you seen screens pop up with a selections of possible answers?" Penny asked.

"Er…no?" Nemona asked.

"Then I can't be of help." Penny said.

"Her only experience with romance are dating sims." Giacomo verified.

"I'm a shut-in weeb. What do you expect?" Penny said. "I'm helping if you have an idea you want to carry out, but don't expect any bright ideas otherwise."

"I think I need to do to the nurse!" Arven said, still doubled over in pain.

"May have to wait a bit, I saw Miss Raifort go in Nurse Miriam's office." Nemona said.

"Dang, another bet lost." Ortega huffed.

"So…a ballad?" Nemona asked as she and Giacomo set up a makeshift music set under Juliana's balcony at night.

"Yeah, music, vocal or not can convey a variety of emotions. I got a few romantic mixes and remixed here. Just sing from the heart, and you can't go wrong." Giacomo said as he finished setting up his turntables. "Now we need to do something to draw her attention. Throw a pebble at the window."

"Er…I don't have really good aim." Nemona said.

"Think of it as throwing a Pokéball." Giacomo said. Then he got hit in the forehead by a pebble. "Ouch! I'm in the other direction from the window? How did you hit me?"

"Told you I have bad aim! Even with Pokéballs, why do you think I have this brace?"

"Just think of something else to draw attention." Giacomo said. Nemona grabbed a bigger rock and threw it at the window…and broke it. "Not that!"

"I thought that with a bigger rock I'd have less trouble aiming." Nemona said.

"Nemona? Giacomo? Is that you?" Juliana's voice said from on top of her balcony. "What did you do to my window."

"I'm sorry, I'll have someone paid to fix it. I just tried to get your attention." Nemona said. "I wanted to show something."

"We have a doorbell." Juliana pointed out.

"Sorry, but er…I wanted to sing a song." Nemona said.

"You woke me up because you wanted to sing?" Juliana asked confused.

"Er…yes?" Nemona said. She wondered if she actually liked Giacomo's idea. Juliana just shrugged and decided to indulge Nemona. Nemona gave Giacomo the ok to start up some music. She took a deep breath and hit the first note…and broke all the other windows in the house. "Oh my gosh! I'm sorry!"

"What? I can't hear, I think I've gone temporarily deaf." Juliana said.

"Thank god for headphones. Nemona? I thought we were going to sing, not using the human version of Hyper Voice!"

"I cannot sing, it seems." Nemona said.

"Why didn't you say you couldn't sing?" Giacomo said.

"You didn't ask." Nemona said, shrugging.

"If I suggest a ballad and you go along with it I suspected you could sing. You could have just stopped right then and there." Giacomo said.

"I was too excited to try and confess that I kind of forget!" Nemona said, scratching the back of her head. Giacomo faceplanted in his turntables.

"Juli, what is going on?" the sound of Juli's mother's voice sounded.

"I dunno, something about music and salad." Juliana said, still dazed and half-deaf from the earlier performance. Luckily Nemona had used her wealth to hire a window repairman.

"A poem can weave words together, like a tapestry, they can project an image in your mind like a projected movie on the big screen, they can hit you in the heart like an arrow. This is what you need, to have your love burn bright for you." With such flowery talk, it had to be Atticus.

"I am not sure if I understood what you said, but it sounded like 'poem good for romance…'" Nemona said.

"Just read this poem to her, and you can woo her like no other." Atticus said.

"Ok, poetry is your thing, so I trust your judgement." Nemona said. She could read, like anyone, and it would be hard to frick it up. She approached Juliana. "Hey Juli, sorry again about the windows."

"It's ok…the new windows are much better. Nice you wanted to expand your hobbies, but I think music wasn't a good idea." Juliana replied.

"I have a poem here…" Nemona said. "I'm going to read it!" she said a bit louder than she thought, nervous.

"Er…sure?" Juliana said.

Nemona opened her mouth, raised a finger and looked at the paper. She blinked a few times and squinted her eyes. She took out some reading glasses but they didn't help. "Er…I don't get any of these words."

"Wait, let me see." Juliana said as she took the paper. Nemona tried to stop her, but she didn't have a good excuse. "Oh, those are big words. If someone gave it to you, it may be an admirer whom tries way too hard. If I didn't know the guy was gay, I'd almost say its Atticus. If you ever find out whom it is, please let him down gently. Would not be the type of guy you'd want to date. Sounds pretentious." Juliana threw away the paper. "Anyhow, see you after lunch for our afternoon battle."

Nemona just nodded and smiled. But as Juliana left the scene she sighed and her face drooped. "This was a horrible idea."

"My poem was brilliant, how dare she call me pretentious." Atticus said offended.

"Some jewelry should work, all girls love jewelry. My mom doesn't leave the house without half er collection, which is pretty sizeable. But of course we should start with one." Ortega said. "And us rich folk can afford it."

"Er…I normally don't spend on anything unnecessary." Nemona said.

"Is something that would brighten the smile of your future girlfriend, unnecessary?" Ortega said.

"Er…no. But the only jewelry I know anything about are the Terastralizing crystals." Nemona said.

"Oh, you know her birthday? A birth stone-themed gem would make great jewelry."

"She is born November 18th, 2007 a quarter to four in the morning in the Hammerlocke Hospital in Galar, same day that Champion Mustard stepped down and crowned Leon champion."

"You forget you can sing but you know a lot about Juliana in that much detail?" Ortega asked surprised.

"I have good memory for everything Juliana and Pokémon." Nemona noted. Ortega decided to not go further into that.

Later on, Nemona came in to visit Juliana at her house again. After promising to no longer sing, Juliana's mother allowed her to enter their backyard, where a little sanctuary was built for all of Juliana's Pokémon. She saw a variety of them. She saw Diasmuerte, Juliana's starter. Surrounded and playing with a trio of Fuecoco, her hatchlings. One Paldean pure Fighting-type breed of Tauros was also nearby. One of them climbing on his back. The Tauros, Ferdinand planted his tails into the ground so the Fuecoco hatchling could use it as a slide. The Tauros, Ferdinand, then approached the Skeledirge. She was nuzzling the little Fuecoco siblings. Then the Tauros lowered his head and he and the Skeledirge nuzzled. Then the two nuzzled the Fuecoco offspring.

Juliana had just throw water in her pool, which was the living space for her Palafin, whom she had thrown fishy snack to. She patted Porm the Palafin on her head, whom clapped her fins together, chirped and flipped in the air, and back into the water. Juliana then moved to Diasmuerte's family. The three Fuecoco hatchlings then saw their mommy's trainer, rushed at her and tackled her to the ground. Juliana laughed as she played with the trio of fiery crocs.

Nemona thought it was so utterly adorable, and the sight just reiterated everything Nemona loved about Juliana. How her sweetness and kindness stood out…she cursed herself for not realizing her own love earlier. Now all she had to do is hand over the…where is the necklace? She looked around and then saw Juliana's Tinkaton. She held the necklace in her hand, enthralled by it. "Ah! Valkyrie! Give that back, naughty girl."

The Tinkaton, Valkyrie blew a raspberry and ran off with it. Nemona chased after her. Luckily the Tinkaton line weren't the strongest Pokémon courtesy of carrying a big-ass hammer everywhere. She grabbed the necklace and they played tug-o-war. "Let…go…you…pink…Puffball!" she said. However, the necklace gave out and the beads and gems fell off. Valkyrie grabbed as many of the loose parts as she could and ran off with them. Nemona just gave up as the necklace couldn't be fixed. All she had left was a single ruby

"Hi, Nemona. What brings you here?" Juliana said, one of the Fuecoco hatchlings on top of her head, letting out a delighted purr.

Nemona panicked and stood there with the gemstone in her hand. She put it in her mouth. "Mwello!" she mumbled.

"What do you have in your mouth?" Juliana said.

"Mwnottn!" Nemona said as she swallowed it. Man, she made bad split decisions. "Nothing. Just…a nut!" Nemona said.

"Oh…well, what brings you here, Nemona?" Juliana asked.

"Oh, just wanted to hang out with best and dearest friend." Nemona said with a smile a bit too wide.

"Oh, that's nice. Er, I do have little time today, though. I was taking care of all my Pokémon. I try to give them all equal attention despite there being many of them. I also need to fish and groom them and…" Juliana said.

"I would be glad to help with that." Nemona said. The necklace thing didn't work out, but at least she got to spend time with Juliana. And get to choke a hammer-wielding pink fairy.

"Really? Why, thank you Nemona!" she hugged her friend, and Nemona blushed. Man, she's a disaster. "Come on, let's play with the Fuecocos some more." She said as she dragged Nemona along. Nemona wished Juliana would never let go of her hand.

A less stellar moment of the evening is when she went back home and had to act for quick lax to get that one gemstone out of her stomach.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"They say love of the man goes through his stomach, but the same is true for Juliana." Arven said as he was putting together something edible. "And I happen to know Juliana loves sandwiches."

"She does, more then life itself she said. She bonded with her Kuraidon over sandwiches. She has lured in Pokémon with sandwiches. She eats everything if it is put between two slices of bread." Nemona said.

"And I have a special sandwich." Arven said as he showed off the platter with a huge breadroll shaped like a heart. "Three types of cheese, smoked meat, caramelized onions, pickles and my secret sauce made of five Herba Mystica. She is going to love it, and she'll love you for giving her the perfect sandwich."

"That sounds like the easiest method so far." Nemona said. She would woo her with this sandwich. "Gonna give it to her right away." She said as she picked up the tray with the sandwich and rushed off.

She would see Juliana with her Kuraidon. "Hey Juli, I got a surprise for you…" Nemona said. Only for the Kuraidon to perk up, sniff the air, their tongue hanging form his mouth as they charged towards her. "Ah! No Diablo, down boy!" 'Diablo' as the Kuraidon was known as tackled her to the ground, grabbed the sandwich and at it in one bite, happily munching. They belched and rolled on their back in bliss. "Oh…" Nemona felt sullen again.

"I'm sorry we just were done with a training session and he couldn't control himself. I'll buy myself a new sandwich or ask Arven for one. Anyhow, nice of you to try and provide us with lunch." Juliana said.

This was just getting ridiculous. She tried to be mad at the Kuraidon that ate her love confession. Almost. She couldn't be mad at him when he started licking her like an overgrown puppy.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"I had enough. Music is a failure, poetry is a bust, I lost a necklace and forgot to take the Legendary lizard into account whom is a bigger sandwich addict then Juliana herself." Nemona sighed. "I'll never get to be more then a friend to her."

"I think that you are going about this the wrong way." Eri suggested. "You are doing it everyone else's way, but not the Nemona way."

"Huh?" Nemona asked.

"As embarrassing as my confession was to Eri…once I realized I had a Freudian slip, I just came out and told her. I just told the truth to her straight up. No filter, no silly distractions of mushy stuff." Mela admitted.

"Yeah, it came with a bit of crude language but it came from her heart. And it was pure Mela. And that's what made the confession perfect." Eri grabbed Mela's hand. "Do play to your strengths. You are not a musician, or a poet, you are Nemona, and you are a battler."

"You're right. I need to do it my way. And I don't know much about romance, but I know a lot about Pokémon battle, so I tackle it like a battle. Watch out, Juli! Here I come!" she said as she charged out of the room and ran down the hallway. Then she realized she went into the wrong direction and turned the other way.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Juliana was reading her book on a bench in the courtyard. "JULIANA!" Nemona shouted to draw her attention. "I feel like I'm up for a battle again." Nemona said.

"We weren't scheduled for one, but I have read ahead enough I can spare some time." Juliana said as she closed her book. "Any particular reason?"

"Last time I felt distracted. But now, I feel like I can be focused again. I want to make up for that. Because you…you don't deserve that. You deserve a battle to go all out and not let something as unfair like that dull your victory." She pulled out a PokéBall. "This fight will be done the right way."

"Well, I like the sound of that. I'm all for it!" Juliana said with a confident smirk. They made their way to the battlefield. Juliana summoned her Tinkaton, Valkyrie. Nemona could see the remnants of the broken necklace were incorporated into it.

"Alpina, go!" Nemona said as she summoned her Pawmot. The cut fighting marmot made a battle pose. "Thunderpunch, Go!" Alpina shot forwards, her paws engulfed in electricity.

"Brick Break!" Juliana said as her Tinkaton charged in. Her hammer glowed as it swung, colliding with the electric fists of Alpina the electric blows and hammer blows bouncing off each other.

The fight heated up. A thunderbolt from the Pawmot would be fired, but absorbed in the hammer, before she swung the hammer, hit the ground and created an electric shockwave with the hammer slam, which knocked Alpina skywards. But she regained her bearings and shot down engulfed in electricity like a projectile and knocked the Tinkaton down. However, the blacksmith fairy pulled herself back up again.

"I see now, you are back to your usual battle-focused self. Managed to figure out what got you so zoned out before?" Juliana asked.

"Yes. It was ironically the same thing that gave me intense focus, that got me distracted." Nemona said. "They are one and the same. But I only got distracted of something I feared for, for which I was unsure off." Nemona looked at Juliana, their eyes locking. "It was you, Juliana."

"What?"

"Not in a bad way. No far from it, the opposite, the extreme opposite. You have been my dear friend and rival. You managed to make battles fun. But not only that. Everything I see you doing, you make it better. Every place you go, you make it better. You fueled a fire inside me that was going out prior to your arrival. You make me feel alive. I love you, Juliana Escarlata." Nemona said.

Juliana looked a bit taken aback. "Nemona…"

"I don't know if you feel the same way or not. I don't even know if you are into girls, or even into romance. But even if you can't give me…that. I can't imagine my life without you. Even if you can't offer me more then a friend, I still will take it as being around you…is enough for me. And I will always treasure you…so that's why I can't hold back in battle. I show you my passion, my strength, here in this fight. So I can at least show you how strong that passion burns and how much it fires me up!" Nemona said, her voice almost shouting. Confidence, strength radiating of her. But at the same time, she radiated joy. She was lighting up.

Juliana saw that too. How fired up she always was. How she kept pushing herself. After reaching the top, Juliana thought she'd be lonely, too strong, nowhere to go. But Nemona continued to test her, keep her humble, keep her going as she made her work for her victories. She owed so much to her. She… "I love you too, Nemona Menziesi. I love your passion, I love your strength. I love how in the simplest of things, you can find joy. You never let anything take you down, you keep pushing yourself beyond. You are an inspiration. My inspiration. So I will fight to my fullest. Because how can I deny the woman I love anything."

Nemona's heart lit up. Joy, love, energy, radiated through her. For her romance wasn't soft or gentle like for others. For her it burned like passion and was intense. And the fact that love was returned fired her up more. "Alpina, Double Shock!"

"Valkyrie, Gigaton Hammer!" Juliana said.

A glowing metallic hammer of the Tinkaton collided with the hyper-electrified body of the Pawmot. There was a bright light as the attacks collided and an explosion. The smoke was slowly clearing slowly, and Nemona and Juliana could see each other coming into view. Their eyes locked. The fire was burning intense earlier, but while it radiated the same heat, there was a sense of calm now. For their realization, for what they've found in that moment.

Valkyrie and Alpina both lay unconscious. A tie would normally mean no one wins or loses. But in this tie, both Nemona and Juliana felt they'd won. They healed their Pokémon up and returned them to their PokéBalls. Then they turned towards each other again. "I feel a bit stupid." Nemona said as she took Juliana's hand. "This past week I was concocting schemes to confess with our friends' help but…none of those ways weren't me. This was…"

"This was indeed very…you. It was perfect." Juliana assured her.

"So we're girlfriends, right?" Nemona asked, making sure there were no misunderstandings.

"We are." Juliana said as she took Nemona's other hand.

"Awesome. Er, what do we do now?" Nemona asked. Her plan only did go as far as the confession.

"I'd say after school, we finish off our homework, go out and have ourselves a picnic, and afterwards have ourselves another intense battle." Juliana said. "It is like our normal get-togethers, but probably with more touchy-feely stuff."

"Sounds good. So, since we are girlfriends, aren't we like to, er…supposedly, kissing?" Nemona asked. Juliana just smiled and leaned over to Nemona, her heels coming off the ground to lift herself up to kiss the taller girl.

Nemona stood there stunned for a bit, relishing the sensation of Juliana's soft lips. As Juliana broke the kiss. Nemona had a dopy look on her face. "Heh…wowzers."

"Wowzers?" Juliana asked with an amused tone.

"I kind of…My thinking thingy is short circuited." Nemona said.

"You're too cute." Juliana said with a smile. "Never change."

"You're cute too." Nemona said.

"A-hum!" a voice behind them said. It was Professor Clavell. "While I am happy for you young ladies and your newfound relationship, but I do have to remind you that classes resume soon and you should make haste to not risk being tardy."

"Oh, almost forgot!" Juliana said. "See you after school, Nemona!"

"You too, love you, bye!" Nemona blew a hand kiss as they rushed at their respective classes to make it on time.

"Ah young love…" Clavell said. "I also think Mrs. Tyme owes me quite a bit of a pay-out for that bet."

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

After school, Nemona and Juliana went to their favorite green hillside and had a romantic picnic, their friends looking at them from a distance. "Well, they seem to be doing fine. Glad we were able to help." Ortega said.

"Help? You didn't help that much, your ideas were awful!" Mela noted.

"If they didn't fail, they wouldn't realize they had to do it their way." Ortega noted.

"That wasn't your intent from the start, you little twerp, and you know it!" Mela said. "You and the others did something out of a Saturday morning cartoon. Me and Eri told her to stay true to herself."

"You didn't do that until our plans had failed!" Ortega said.

"I thought you'd be smarter but I shouldn't have expected better from an idiot like you." Mela said.

"Your boots suck!" Ortega shot back.

"Don't defy the boots!" Mela growled.

"Calm down, sweetie." Eri said as she rubbed her girlfriends' shoulders.

"But…my boots." Mela muttered.

"I love your boots." Eri assured her.

"Even if too much gardeners nearly spoiled the garden, love was still able to blossom regardless, in a beautiful flower radiating adoration. For good and back, any contribution from my end I call a success!" Atticus said.

"You know shame none of us realized our plans were bad until Mela and Eri came up with the right one." Giacomo said.

"I did." Penny said, still eating ramen noodles.

"Then why didn't you say anything?" Arven asked.

"Was having too much fun." Penny said with a soft smile as she slurped up her noodles.

"You know there are other things in the world then noodles to eat?" Arvena asked.

"Ramen are food of the gods!" Penny said, all serious. She then sniffed the air. "Why do I smell sandwiches? Oh no…" she turned around and Diablo, Juliana's Kuraidon has wandered off and tracked Penny down. His tongue lulled out of his mouth. "Don't you dare…" and then the Kuraidon started affectionately licking her, to her dismay. And everyone else's amusement.

BOOM!

They all turned around to see the picnic between the two girlfriends has transitioned in a Pokémon battle. They saw Nemona's Goodra firing a Dragon Pulse, which was dodged by Juliana's Ceruledge, before it brandished its swords and charged in. The two seemed to be having the time of their life.

"Ah, l'amour." Atticus said.

"Does someone have a wet wipe?" Penny groaned, covered in Kuraidon slobber.

NOTES

Hello, another snippet series I have come up with. Random moments from the pokemon timeline I rewrite, a few character moments with my fav pokemon and human characters, filling in some blanks, fixing it, the standard stuff. Update schedule is random because just like all my snippet series I update whenever I have an idea.

The first one is a romance between the female character player from Paldea, Juliana and Nemona, the adorkable champion girl.

Yes, in my canon it is most of the female player characters whom become champion and I admit they will often be paired with female partners. XD

And some nicknames the Pokemon have are either nicknames I gave to my Pokemon in-game or wanted to give them. And my Fuecoco and Tauros had bred and brought forth Fuecoco hatchlings.

The Chapter is now edited since I now pair Miriam with Raifort. As Dendra has a closer bond with the GYm Leader Tulip, they'll be the Dendra-inspired couple instead.
