Waking up in this weird place, I couldn't make heads or tails of who I was. Memories from my past life were like distant flickering stars, barely lighting up anything. I knew I'd been a dedicated student, but the details were as slippery as soap. There was a vague sense of having a younger sister, but no face to go with it. My parents' dreams for me were in there somewhere, but their faces were like mist. I vaguely remembered wanting to go to Harvard, but everything else was drowning in uncertainty.

Then, bam, everything shifted. Suddenly, I was in a whole new reality during my first high school summer break. I became this guy who had my name, my thoughts, my everything. It was disorienting, to put it mildly.

At first, I flat-out denied this new world. But as I tried to remember stuff about this place, I started to detach from my old life. My past faded into the background as the present grabbed me with all its weirdness.

Now, I was Ray Chiu, a 15-year-old student in Gravity Falls, Oregon. My academic skills were still on point, just like my old self. My family here had its quirks, including a little sister named Candy Chiu and two Korean parents. But why we'd moved to Gravity Falls was a big ol' question mark.

Gravity Falls. It rang a faint bell from my old world. My sister had been into it, this show called 'Gravity Falls.' But I'd kinda zoned out whenever she talked about fictional stuff.

Man, did I regret not paying attention. I pieced together that I was now inside that very show. My sister in this world, Candy Chiu, was a big fan. Or maybe not. I hadn't really paid attention to her explaining all this fictional stuff.

Now, I was kicking myself for it. My knowledge of 'Gravity Falls' was patchy at best—a kids' show with mysteries, happy endings, and lots of monsters and demons.

Monsters and demons. Those words echoed in my head.

"...Monsters and demons?!"

-Knock, knock.

Someone knocked on my door, jolting me. Fear took hold. In this world, monsters and ghosts were real. Every survival instinct told me not to open that door.

"Hey, oppa? Are you alright?"

It was a voice I recognized. Candy, my sister in this crazy world. I opened the door, feeling relieved. She stood there—a small girl with straight hair, a green shirt, and glasses.

"...No. No... I'm okay. Everything's fine."

"Um... Then why are you trembling so much? You look sick."

Suspicion colored her gaze as she spoke in Korean. The words hung awkwardly between us. How could I trust her in a world where anything seemed possible? Was she really my sister or some doppelgänger from this weird place?

"I think... I'm sick. Yeah, I have a headache and I'm dizzy... Better not to talk much. Might be a cold."

"A cold? Wow, I can't remember the last time I heard you complain about that..."

"Yeah. Just... Let me rest. Please leave my room."

I closed the door, retreating to my safe spot. I mean, this was a world of kiddie cartoons, right? No way it had these twisted horrors. So, for the sake of safety, I enforced isolation. I yanked batteries out of stuff, cut off any potential horror sources. Friends tried to reach me, but I stayed MIA. Only Candy thought I was acting strange. My parents, used to my studying habits, didn't pay it much mind. My room became my fortress, and I spent summer days hiding.

But when August came around, all hell broke loose.

The world fell apart.

Everything around me went to chaos, like some nightmare painting coming to life. Gravity Falls lost its marbles, and reality itself seemed to be unraveling. Friends turned into freaky foes with creepy smiles, and the streets ran red with people losing their minds. It was like this world had been hijacked by a seriously evil force, turning its charm into a circus of horror.

"AH! NOO! NO! DON'T!"

Screams echoed, and folks who used to be friendly ganged up on someone, their bodies all twisted and freaky. Their eyes were like something out of a horror movie, and their voices were a messed-up mix of screams and laughter.

"For I believe in god, I shall carve my face and sacrifice my son to you, my lord triangle! Amen!"

Some hooded figure kneeled before a weird triangle symbol that glowed all eerie. They had a knife, and it looked like they were about to do something unspeakable. The whole thing was a freaky chant, like they'd kissed reason goodbye.

"Run, Ray! Run!"

A voice screamed out, frantic and desperate. The world was a dumpster fire, with people turning into monsters. But through the chaos, one voice was a lifeline.

Candy, my sis in this messed-up reality, pulled me from the brink. As the world went nuts, she held onto her sanity like a candle in a storm. We ran through the crazy streets, scared out of our minds. But even she was barely holding it together.

Gravity Falls itself went bonkers, with buildings turning into flesh-eating things. People screamed as they got gobbled up, their last moments sucked into this messed-up nightmare.

"Mom! Dad!"

I yelled their names like a prayer, but it was like they'd been erased from the world. This tide of madness had swallowed them whole, leaving nothing behind but echoes and sadness.

Candy, my rock in this sea of madness, held onto me for dear life. She tried to make sense of this whole mess, her voice shaking.

"Ray, what's happening? This... this can't be real. It's like a nightmare."

Her voice was a mix of disbelief and terror. My own thoughts were spinning, trying to make sense of this impossible world.

And then, in a brutal twist, Candy lost it. She saw some floating triangle thing with a creepy eye in the center, and it shattered her mind. She dropped to her knees, bowing to this thing like it was a god.

"Praise the lord triangle! He is the truth, the way, the salvation!"

She chanted like a madwoman, worshiping something beyond understanding. Then, with a sickening crack, her skull split open, and her blood mixed with the dirt.

I stumbled back, horrified as I watched her blood pool around her. Even death in this place was messed up.

"...No, no, no... I... I need to find something. I can't die here. I need to live... I need to live."

Desperation clawed at me, overriding everything else. I was alone in this nightmare, and I had to survive. I had to. So, I pushed forward, aiming for the Mystery Shack that Candy had talked about. Maybe there, I'd find answers and a way to fix this twisted world.

I walked on, heart pounding, into the woods that held secrets beyond my wildest imagination. Signposts pointed the way, like breadcrumbs leading to some kind of salvation. I wasn't the hero of this story, but maybe, just maybe, I could find the one who was.

Fear pumped through my veins, and the whispers of madness

were a constant background noise. But I kept going. In this nightmare, hope still flickered like a distant star, guiding me into the unknown.

This world was nothing like what I knew, and it was falling apart at the seams. But even here, I could do whatever it took to survive.
