I'm writing this for the simple reason that I got bored writing MHA fics, even if they were crossed over with other franchises. So here I am, writing a story about One Piece, and more specifically, a One Piece isekai fic.

Or even more specifically, I'm using Tekking101's Isekai creation for this story, with the MC being a mix between myself for the base personality/story knowledge. But with the decision-making skills of me and any reviewers that want to throw in their two cents.

Yes, you read that right. This will be a semi-cooperative story that you all can participate in! I will read the reviews after every chapter and incorporate any ideas/decisions(within reason) that you all may have and find a way that makes sense for the MC to go through with them.

Now, to explain a bit about the actual isekai adventure game. The MC(Who's name and appearance I will let you all decide) will be teleported from wherever they are at the moment(let's say their office) to the One Piece world, they arrive at the exact moment that Luffy leaves Foosha village. Only taking the clothes on their back, two more sets of clothing of their choice, a large backpack, a single object that is within reach of them, and 1 million Belly(9500$ equivalence in cash).

Everything else is completely randomized. And here are the results:

Objective: Walk on a sky island(once this is done, it's up to the MC to decide when or if they want to go back to their world.

Starting Location: East Blue, Cocoyashi village

Random item table: A box of fine cigars(Worth 20,000 belly)

Optional roll for boon or bane: Nope

A single object within reach: a medium-sized globe

Alright, that's all of it…I may be screwed from the start but this isn't the worst start. Oh well, se la vie, let's get into it folks!

It was a nice, sunny, and somewhat sleepy day in the water world of One Piece. At least for most. For those in the know, this was a day of beginnings. A day where a legend began, and a day where one unlucky bastard was thrown right into it.

"*Pugh! Ugh, stupid sand. It's so rough, dry, coarse, and it tastes like shit. That R.O.B or whatever it was could have at least helped give me a smooth landing…Now, where the hell am I?" All I knew was that I was in the One Piece world and that if I wanted to leave it he would have to walk on a sky Island. A daunting task for a regular human to be sure.

Where exactly I landed was unknown. Clearly, it was a beach of some kind, but that didn't exactly narrow things down.

"Ok, there doesn't seem to be any weird flora or fauna around, and the nearby ocean looks normal enough. No weird weather patterns either, so I think it's safe to say that I'm in one of the Blues." Hopefully, it was on an island with some kind of civilization, otherwise, I was already screwed.

"In the immortal words of Sanji, you can't eat money." I took a moment to look myself over along with the few gifts that the R.O.B had given me before yeeting me into this world. A million belly in cash. A couple of extra sets of clothes(Three simple t-shirts of white, black, and gray colors, three sets of work pants, two pairs of tennis shoes, and some sandals), a large backpack, and my globe that I managed to grab before getting warped here, and a set of fine cigars of all things…

"I don't even smoke, what the hell? I guess I can sell these for a decent price at least." I grumble before rising, set on finding civilization, or at least a source of fresh water. "If I circle the island I should be able to find a river, at least I hope so." If I couldn't that would mean having to settle for pond or lake water. Not good.

'Looks like it's a fairly tropical island. Palm trees, warm temperatures, if I weren't in such a weird situation I'd take a few hours to just relax here.' The vegetation was ringing a bell too, rice fields could be seen here and there as I walked, along with what looked like orange groves.

'No, not oranges. Tangerines.' The realization hit like a ton of bricks. "Oh, I guess I'm just screwed." If I was right about the area, which I hoped beyond hope that I wasn't, then this island was in the Conomi archipelago. Nami's home, and the current home base of the Arlong pirates…

"I'm so screwed." If things came down to a fight, I would die. No question about that. But this place also raised an opportunity. A way into the plot, and a quick road to a sky island if I just stuck around with the straw hats…Assuming I survived the chaos that would entail.

'At least I have a few guaranteed ways to claim a spot on the crew. Or at least a few ways to hitch a ride for a while.' I eyed the large backpack that was given to me. I could already hear Luffy's voice in my ear.

"You're from another world! Join my crew!"

I chuckle, yeah, that sounds about right. Who knows, if I survive the week I might even make a name for myself in this world. It isn't all bad here, and I had a bit of a unique advantage. 'I could always shack up with lord Buggy and coast off his luck.' Gyahaha-

"Huh, I have my own laugh style. Cool." I noticed before shaking my head.

"I'm getting ahead of myself. First and foremost I need to find a town. It's dangerous with all the fishmen but from what I remember they aren't too hostile. At least not to the point that they'll kill me outright just for being human." They'd probably just rob me, beat me up, and leave me for dead if I looked at them funny.

'So pretty much like your average pirate the more I think about it.' I sweat drop, remembering that the straw hats were very much the exception, not the rule. Walking further I eventually came across a landmark "A dock huh. There's no identifying marker, but it might be the one those mook fishmen were at when they found Zoro, Usopp, and…One of the two bounty hunters that I forgot the name of." I mumbled, looking around to make sure that I was alone.

"Alright, the coast is clear for now, but I should go further inland. Staying near the water on an island full of fish pirates doesn't sound smart. Plus, if memory serves me right, Cocoyashi village should be further in and to the west of here." I needed to find Nojiko, or maybe Genzo. Anyone who could get me off this island safely.

'I have plenty of ways to pay them back. In more ways than just cash, though how to go about it…' I could try to stick with canon and have the straw hats deal with Arlong. That was the safest bet, but there was also Smoker to consider. If I could convince him of the corruption going on here he could probably defeat Arlong too.

That would get me an in with the marines, and if I play my cards right I could get to a sky island even quicker than with the straw hats. And without needing to deal with Alabasta either. But how would that affect the straw hats, more specifically Nami? Would she still join the crew? Would the distraction give them a free entry into Paradise since Smoker would be distracted?

"Too many variables, none of them certain. Far too many, best to stick to canon for now. I just need a boat and a navigator, everything else can wait." Luckily, those two things should be a dime a dozen in this world. And I had plenty of cash to throw around. 'That said, I can't be stupid about this. Speed is important, but discretion is the order of the day for now.'

"Cocoyashi village, it would be such a nice place if it weren't for the extortion. Reminds me of my old neighborhood. Now if I remember right, Nojiko should be at Bell-mere's old home a bit further into the forest. There's no way I'm finding it myself though, so that leaves…Pinwheel guy." He was the sheriff of this place and knew the sisters since way back. Plus he should be fairly easy to find.

"I heard the word pinwheel, who summoned me?" Speak of the sheriff, wait a minute. Was causality now influenced by anime logic?... I filed it away for later and addressed the scarred man.

"Yeah, I'm just passing through this area and was wondering who I need to speak with to charter a ship and hire a navigator to Loguetown." The man seemed surprised at first but apparently decided that it wasn't worth questioning me. Especially if I was willing to spend money in the community, something they needed desperately.

"I see, I can introduce you to our local shipwright. Just be prepared to pay a hefty price, certain circumstances have made ship travel out of these islands along with business costs in general rather…Expensive, in more ways than one." He gave me fair warning, not wanting to go into specifics.

"That's fine, I have the money to pay a little extra if needed. Thank you for showing me the way." I said, not giving away the exact amount but making it known that I did have money. And seeing how the town looked the deeper we went, they definitely needed it.

Sure, the town itself wasn't too bad. A bit simple and small, but there was a charm to that. What really caught my eye was the amount of damaged property and roughed-up people there were here. It wasn't terribly obvious, a bandaged arm here, a bruise there, some broken windows on occasion…

'Even a somewhat 'protected' town like Nami's is treated like this. I should emphasize the need for a fast ship when I ask for one.' It would still probably take me a few days. These were regular sailing ships and while the Conomi were fairly close to Loguetown they were still slow.

'At least until you get into the jet-powered ones in the grand line. Ugh, I'm both dreading and can't wait to get into that blessed/cursed sea.' One Piece was easily one of my favorite worlds in fiction…To read about. I wouldn't want to live here even if I was offered a kingdom if I did. 'That being said, I'm definitely eating a devil fruit before going back to my world.

Having one in this world was pretty dangerous, it being an ocean planet and all that. But that particular weakness was easily avoidable on Earth, well worth it for some powers. 'And I already know the perfect fruit, getting it will be tricky, but I can probably pull it off.' I thought while fighting the growing smile on my face until Genzo spoke up.

"So what brought you to these isles son? Not many people come by here, even the terribly lost ones." Being home to the East Blue's most powerful pirate group will do that to a place. "And what business do you have in Loguetown? Last I heard that place was a pirate sanctuary for those that want to enter the grand line."

I guess it was a little suspicious. Luckily, I had a perfectly good Cow ex Machina available to me. "Funny enough the thing that brought me here looked like it belonged there. I got caught in a small storm while fishing and ended up in the middle of nowhere. I thought I was screwed for sure until a giant sea cow appeared and launched me in this general direction. When I woke up I was washed up on the beach. I guess I should be thankful, getting shipwrecked on a random island is a lot better than death by dehydration." Genzo takes several seconds to parse through what I said before shaking it off and nodding.

"I see. I suppose even sea monsters have a sense of pity on occasion. Too bad the same doesn't apply to their keepers. But never mind that we're here. Hey Tony! Get out here, you finally got some business!" Following the shout was a good deal of metal banging on metal, what I could have sworn was breaking wood, and plenty of groaning before a rather short man with a mustache appeared from inside his shop.

"Business eh? It better be payin' business or I'm going back to sleep." The man's eyes widen at the sight of his apparent customer.

That will be all for now. If you are wondering why I stopped this chapter in such an awkward place, it's because our friend Tony was just about to describe our protagonist's appearance in great and insulting detail. Yup.

I'm leaving it up to my collective readers to toss in bits and pieces to decide what he will look like. I'll use a rough average of characteristics given in reviews and fill in whatever blanks are left over myself. I'll also be taking suggestions for names. Don't worry though, if suggestions are sparse I have several pre-made characters ready to go.

Until next time, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and join in on the fun.
