Klee was still serving time in solitary confinement when Amber broke her out and summoned her to Jean's office.

"I need bombs," Amber said by way of explanation. Klee's ears visibly perked up.

"Amber, no," said Jean. Her eyes have bags under them. "Don't you remember the Last Time?"

"The Last Time" referred to Stormbearer Mountains. Or, rather, what used to be Stormbearer Mountains. It wasn't much of a mountain anymore: Klee was the last storm that mountain ever saw.

"But bandit," Amber insisted. "We'll be going into a domain with the Traveler. We need to be able to defend ourselves! Did you know that the Traveler only has a dull blade?"

Jean hesitated. It did seem a bit irresponsible to send the Honorary Knight to apprehend criminals with such a useless weapon. However…

"Can't you just partner with someone else? Or give them one of the standard issue Favonius Swords?"

"I thought about that," Amber said, "Eula's on a Reconnaissance mission and can't be interrupted. Kaeya is still injured from that mysterious incident that he refuses to elaborate on. No one else is free. The Traveler refuses to use anything other than the Dull Blade. They ascended it to level 70. Who does that? Please, Jean. This is my only option."

Jean frowned. It did make sense, but…

"You just want to blow things up, don't you?" Jean said.

"Pleaseeee," Amber pleaded. "Just this once."

Jean hesitated. It was true that Amber didn't get to see much action. Jean deflated. "Don't take any of the bigger bombs. Be careful."

"Thanks!" Amber did a victory dance. Then she took Klee by the hand and led her outside to make bombs.

"Hey, I've been meaning to ask," said the Traveler, "Isn't this child labor?"

Amber and Klee were both assembling explosives with a level of excitement that was concerning for anyone that wasn't a pyromaniac.

"Well," said Amber, "Most of the time Klee doesn't have official duties. She just gets worksheets and coloring books to do, pretty much like a normal child. And of course she gets up to her own adventures in Mondstadt. Occasionally, we have to call her in as the explosive expert, but those occasions are rare. When it does happen, she's always accompanied by an adult. Also, it's not like we're forcing her to make bombs. So no, I don't think this qualify as child labor."

"Ah," said the Traveler. "Glad we can clear that up. So what's the plan?"

"We enter the domain, we go through it, and we capture Raptor," said Amber offhandedly. "If anyone tries to stop us…boom."

"Boom!" Klee agreed. "Big sister Amber, Klee wants to come!"

Silence.

"Klee, no."

"Klee, yes!" Klee jumped up, almost spilling the casing full of gunpowder on her lap. "Klee wants to fight bad guys and make things go BOOM!"

"Uh," the Traveler didn't know if they should be encouraging homicidal behavior in children. Especially children with the power to raze major architectural structures. "Maybe when you're older."

"But-but…"

"It could get very dangerous in there," the Traveler said.

"But Klee's super powerful!"

That was exactly what they were afraid of. "I don't just mean bad guys. There could be steep drops, or traps, or-"

"Klee promises that she will be good," Klee protested. "Klee will listen to everything you say and not do anything reckless."

Amber patted her head, "This is exactly what you said last time. Stay put this time, alright? Why don't you use your newfound freedom to go on an adventure?"

The pair discovered a logistical issue about halfway through the domain.

"So, like," said the Traveler, "How do we drop bombs and glide? We need both arms to pilot."

"I did not think about this," Amber admitted. "Any ideas?"

"Back in one of the the worlds I visited, there was this sport called 'skydiving,'" said the Traveler thoughtfully. "Sometimes, they strap 2 people to the same parachute. Maybe we can try something like that?"

"Would our gliders be able to support both of us?" Amber wondered. "If only the second person is lighter, or-" she cut herself off.

The two of them exchanged looks.

"Klee?"

"Klee."

"No!" Klee cried in disappointment.

It was agreed that the Traveller stayed behind to guard the entrance of the domain to prevent the Raptor's escape while Amber went and fetched Klee.

Fortunately for the structural stability of the domain, and unfortunately for Klee's want for entertainment, the Raptor decided that this was the best time to make his escape. Perhaps he thought that the Traveler would make an easy target.

That was a mistake. The Traveler knew how to fight, Dull Blade or no. They had the Raptor knocked out within seconds.

"Paimon!" the Traveler said. "PAIMON!"

"Yes?" Paimon popped out of the hammerspace she usually occupied, looking a little peeved. The Traveler had no idea what was going on with her.

"Can you go find some rope?"

"Oh, so now you ask me to do things," she grumbled.

The Traveler blinked, "Is this because I didn't ask you to drop bombs for me?"

"Yes, it's because you didn't ask me to drop bombs for you!" she stomped her foot in annoyance. "So Klee can bomb people, but I can't? Am I lacking in something?"

"Well…" The truth was, when Paimon wasn't talking, the Traveler sometimes forgot she existed. "Sorry, I'll let you throw bombs next time."

"But Klee couldn't bomb things, either!" Klee complained. "Awww, Klee was so excited too! I even brought my extra explody formula!"

The Traveler and Amber exchanged glances. "Well, I guess since no one was using this domain anymore…"

Paimon, Amber, and Klee spent the rest of the day throwing bombs from the air.

The Traveler thought to themselves that perhaps this was the true meaning of fear.
