Chapter 3
Two years have gone by, Lloyd and Melissa's friendship has grown stronger, and they learned more about how to be tyrannical overlords over Ninjago and prepare for whatever comes for them next.
Ever since Melissa started hanging around Lloyd, she started to get over her shyness and acted like a bad girl like most of the ones in the school, and didn't let anyone push her around anymore having Lloyd to thank for that, and as long as he's with her she feels like she could face anything.
However, even though their friendship was getting stronger, they had also gone through some trouble mostly from Gene and Brad messing with the both of them and pulling non-stop pranks on them because they are considered the weak links of the school.
Even the teachers and principal started to see that, and no matter how hard Lloyd and Melissa tried to show how bad they were, the school just didn't seem impressed by them, but they both vowed that they would show them how bad they could be and prove everyone wrong.
Class had just ended and all the kids were either in the playground or chatting in the hallways, and Lloyd and Melissa were in the halls with Melissa telling Lloyd about what she had heard that involved his Uncle Wu.
"Are you sure that's true?" Lloyd asked.
"I'm serious, Lloyd. That's what I heard," Melissa nodded in confirmation. "Your Uncle and four ninjas are on the hunt for The Golden Weapons before your father and his Skeleton army find them first."
"Pfft! Like that's even gonna happen," Lloyd scoffed at that. "My dad will find those weapons before my uncle and those pesky ninjas do."
"You got that right," Melissa agreed, but then a thought came into her mind. "But, what do you think is gonna happen when your father does get The Golden Weapons?"
"I don't know honestly," Lloyd shrugged. "But, I know that it's gonna be very evil, and I hope that I can live up to my father's name and make him proud."
"Ha, yeah right!" Lloyd and Melissa turned around and saw Gene and Brad approaching them with smug looks on their faces.
"You are nothing like your father, Lloyd," Gene spoke again. "You're not as evil as me and Brad here."
Melissa groaned in annoyance as she rubbed her temples, "Can't we just go a whole week without you two dorks messing with us?"
"I am like my dad, Gene," Lloyd fired back. "In case you forgot, I am the son of Lord Garmadon, and evil runs through my blood."
Hearing that made both Gene and Brad laugh.
"I'll believe it when I see it, Garmadork," Gene snarked. "Face it, Lloyd, you and Melissa are not evil like us, and both of you don't belong here."
"Gene's right," Brad agreed. "So, you better step up your game, or else both of you are gonna end up on the streets."
Lloyd and Melissa didn't like hearing that because they knew that they might be right, as the principal was starting to lose his patience with them, and they feared that it was only a matter of time before he'd had enough and kicked them out of his school.
"You two don't know anything," Melissa spoke up, and then she got into Gene's face. "And, for the record, Me and Lloyd are evil, and we will show you both that we do belong here."
"Ha! Like I said, I'll believe it when I see it, but don't be surprised if you two will get kicked out by the end of the week," Gene told them as he and Brad left the hallways as Lloyd and Melissa watched them walk away with a hateful glare.
"Ugh! Gene really knows how to get on my nerves," Lloyd groaned in annoyance.
"No kidding," Melissa agreed before turning to Lloyd with a determined smile. "But, we'll show him how evil we are and that we belong in this school."
"Yeah, you're right. We will show him," Lloyd said with a determined smile as well, and then he looked at Melissa. "Hey, how about we go into town and cause a little mischief?"
"Do you even need to ask?" Melissa said with a smirk.
Lloyd and Melissa then made their way out of boarding school by sneaking out through the window in the back of the school, and once they got out, they made their way to cause some trouble in town.
Throughout the rest of the day, Lloyd and Melissa were causing a lot of trouble - from taking candy from some babies to pranking some villagers and dumping trash cans - using what they learned from the boarding school.
Right now, Lloyd and Melissa were heading back toward the boarding school because it was starting to get late, and they needed to get back before anyone realized that they were gone. As they were walking, they were talking about the pranks that they pulled.
"Oh man, did you see the look on that guy's face when he got jump-scared by those fake snakes?" Lloyd laughed.
"I know," Melissa laughed as well. "It was so hilarious, and what about that woman when we dropped mud all over her? She looked like she was about to cry."
"And, Gene said that we're not evil or even belong in the school. Well, who's laughing now, Gene?" Lloyd said as he and Melissa shared a laugh, and then he looked at her. "You know, Melissa, I know I don't say this a lot, but I'm glad that you're my best friend and have always stuck by my side."
That made Melissa smile, "Thanks, Lloyd, and I'm very glad you're my best friend too."
Lloyd smiled as well, and then they both continued to head back to the boarding school.
But then, they both heard a scream and they turned around to see a kid about a few years younger than them rush to the road just to grab a ball that got away from him, and then they saw a truck speeding down the road, and the little kid saw the truck frozen in fear as it was speeding towards him.
Lloyd and Melissa saw this and got them both concerned. They didn't know what to do, but by instinct, Lloyd and Melissa rushed towards the kid and grabbed him, pulling him away just as the truck was about to hit him.
"Are you OK, kid?" Melissa asked to which the kid nodded still shaken up from almost being hit by a truck. "You need to watch where you're going."
"Jacob!" They all turned around and saw the boy's mother heading towards them, and the kid ran to her and hugged her. "Oh, Jacob! Thank God you're okay! Don't ever run off like that."
"I'm sorry, Mommy, but those two saved me," the kid said as he pointed to Lloyd and Melissa.
The woman looked at the two and gave them a smile, "Thank you for saving my son. You two are such good kids." Then, the woman and her son left.
Lloyd and Melissa were stunned by what that woman said, and then they both realized what they had done - They had just broken the most important rule of Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Kids: 'Never show or do anything good or heroic' and they have just done that.
"Oh man, this is bad! This is bad!" Melissa said as she started to panic, "What are we gonna do?"
"Alright, calm down, don't panic," Lloyd tried calming his best friend down even though he was as worried as she was. "Look, I know that this is bad, but there's no need to panic."
"No need to panic?" Melissa repeated as she gave Lloyd a worried look. "Lloyd, we just broke the number one rule of the school, and if anyone finds out about what we did, we're gonna get kicked out. So, there's pretty much a reason to panic right now."
"Melissa, get a hold of yourself," Lloyd grabbed her arms to get her to calm down which she eventually did. "OK, now, look, no one from the school is here and saw what happened, so we're safe for now. All we gotta do is act like what happened didn't happen, and just pray that nobody finds out, OK?"
Melissa had doubts about this, but she trusted Lloyd's words. "OK, OK, I trust you, Lloyd."
"Good, now, let's get back to the school before anyone notices we're gone," Lloyd said as he and Melissa went back to the boarding school.
But unbeknownst to them, someone was hiding in the bushes and saw what they did, and that someone was Gene who basically saw them leave the school and decided to follow them, and he saw everything they did including saving the kid.
"Heh, heh, heh, looks like Lloyd and Melissa aren't so evil after all," Gene said with an evil smirk on his face. "Principal Darkley is gonna wanna hear about this."
Gene then made his way out of the bush and headed back to the boarding school to tell the principal about what he saw.
To be continued...
A/N: And that's the third chapter, and I made it on par with the Pilot Episodes of Ninjago, and uh-oh, looks like Lloyd and Melissa might be in big trouble when they head back to the boarding school, but what will happen when Gene tells the principal about what they did? Find out in the next chapter. Leave a review and tell us what you think.
