"You ready gaki? It's not too late to back out and beg for forgiveness, you know?" Tsunade taunted with a grin on her face. She was dressed in her usual grey outfit and her green coat had been discarded. She also wore padded gloves so as to not injure Naruto too badly. After all, she didn't want to injure her grandson too much.

Naruto stood at the opposite end of the clearing outside Tanzaku Gai, smirking as he continued to stretch. "You should be more worried about your old body, granny. You might have a tougher time than you think." Internally however, he knew that he was no match for her, for now at least. Still, that didn't mean he wasn't going to try.

Tsunade's eyebrow twitched at the jab at her age, as a tick mark formed on her forehead. "I doubt that you brat. and I'd show more respect if I were you." She said as she cracked her knuckles.

Naruto childishly stuck out his tongue at Tsunade.

"Are you ready, kid?" Tsunade asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be, oba-chan," Naruto replied. Jiraya, who was watching from the sidelines along with Shizune, sighed. "Same old disrespectful Naruto…" He thought.

Naruto grinned in excitement as he got into the stance for the Frog kata, his stance more square and more forward (Like a Muay Thai/Wing Chun hybrid), less bladed and sideways than the Academy style taijutsu (Which is more like Karate).

Tsunade's eyes widened as Naruto then shot forward in a burst of speed, but while his speed was impressive for his age, it was child's play for her. She was a sannin for kami's sake! She was still impressed as afterimages appeared in Naruto's wake, showing his mastery over the shunshin. Thoseafterimages disappeared almost immediately, leaving Tsunade to focus on the charging blonde.

Before she could counter attack however, she heard the shuffle of feet behind her and instinctively leapt up into the air, her eyes widening even more as she saw that Naruto had made Shadow clones the second he charged forward, using the shunshin to make his clones look like afterimages. His clones had then used shunshin themselves, making it seem as though the 'afterimages' had dispersed. They had gone around and encircle her, launching an omni-directional attack. Tsunade's chest swelled with pride as her grandson continued to display his incredible talent for the shinobi arts as well as tactics.

Yugito and Mabui then joined Jiraya and Shizune, watching the battle from the side. Jiraya shot the a suspicious glance but returned his attention to the ongoing spar. Yugito was torn between excitement from watching her friend's battle and worry for his safety.

Naruto followed up with an aerial tornado kick as his clones weaved through hand signs, loading up a jutsu he had prepared for this test. Tsunade smiled as she blocked Naruto's kick, the scene taking her back to the days when she trained Minato. For the first time in a long time, she felt warmth in her heart as she thought of her son, instead of the cold ice that usually filled her soul after his death.

She was harshly pulled back to reality when all 10 of Naruto's clones shouted, "Katon! Gouka-kyuu no jutsu!" Both Jiraya and Naruto smirked, they had drilled this particular jutsu as Naruto's surprise attack, and as a flashy way hiding his next attack.

"Incredible." She whispered. "Sealless shadow clones and massive fireballs. Jiraya really outdid himself."

"Naruto's incredible." Yugito whispered as she watched the battle with a sparkle in her eyes. Naruto's movements and moves told her something. 'He's free.' She thought. 'He moves like nothing is holding him down, and yet there is so much weight behind his fists. I want to be like that too.'

She smirked right back as the massive fireballs threatened to engulf her, before cocking her hand back, and punching the air in front of her. Naruto's jaw dropped as Jiraya groaned, as the force from Tsunade's punch created a shockwave that stopped the fireballs and dispersed the jutsu.

Naruto and his clones scowled, before the clones launched into flying side kicks, reverting back to direct frontal attacks, Naruto style. Tsunade then started her counter attack, dispelling clones left and right with incredible strength that currently dwarfed Naruto's super strength.

Naruto stubbornly did not retreat, instead opting to launch his clones towards Tsunade with the Wind style: Gale palm. "Naruto stream!" He shouted as the two clones, each holding a wind enhanced kunai, were launched forward from his palms.

Tsunade simply dispatched the two clones with a vicious double kick and charged forward, disappearing in her own Shunshin, before appearing behind Naruto.

Years of training and conditioning returned to the boy's enamoured mind and flooded his body with adrenaline. His eyes hardened, losing their sparkle, replaced with a sharp glare. 'I couldn't keep up with her!' Channelling chakra into his right heel, he spun with his left leg, slicing the space behind him with a swift kick.

Tsunade was caught off guard by the fast kick, she had never expected the gaki to possess the speed or reaction time to respond to her attack. While she hesitated for a split second in surprise, Naruto's kick connected with her oblique, making her buckle in pain and leap backwards in a tactical retreat.

"Damn, kid. You're strong."

"Hehe, of course I am. I need to be the strongest, so that I can protect all my precious people as Hokage!"

Tsunade stopped right as she was about to throw a kunai at Naruto. 'You really remind me of them, Naruto.' She thought with a smile on her face.

'She's smiling so warmly at him.' Yugito thought. 'And they just met. Has anyone else besides Samui and Mabui-sensei ever smiled at me?' She thought sadly. Memories of Naruto leading her through the town, laughing and talking then flooded her mind as a blush crept onto her face. 'Yes. He did.'

"Don't get distracted granny!" Naruto shouted as he made more clones. The clones than spread out in pairs, each weaving through hand signs. "Katon! Gouka-kyuu no jutsu!" "Fuuton: Gale Palm!" "Fuuton: Great breakthrough!"

Tsunade groaned as the clones performed a collaboration jutsu, combining the grand fireball jutsu with his wind style jutsu, creating a raging inferno of deadly flames. "Damn this brat and his endless chakra reserves."

Tsunade punched the ground with all her might, causing the ground around her to burst up, creating a shield of earth and soil, combining that with a sealless Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall, she completely negated the attack. But she wasn't satisfied with that, continuing her Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall, using it to launch the earth under the clones, flinging Naruto and his clones into the air.

"Tsunade is as dramatic as ever huh." Jiraya sighed.

'Tsunade-sama is really terrifying.' Mabui thought.

'She used a defensive jutsu as an offensive attack effortlessly! I'll need to step up my game!" Naruto thought as he spun in midair, throwing shuriken and kunai at Tsunade, who blocked and evaded them with her own kunai.

Jiraya smirked as Shizune gaped at the skill Naruto was exhibiting. "The brat really learnt 3 jutsu in three days. The Shadow clone training method is truly genius." He said as his mind flashed back to the last three days of traning. He had pushed the 9 year old to his limits, and with the help of shadow clones, Jiraya had brought him to a level where he would give Kakashi a good workout.

A thought then crossed Jiraya's mind. 'Where did Naruto even learn the Shadow clone jutsu? It was probably sensei, but he didn't mention it to me. Meh, I'll ask him when we get back to the village.'

"Not bad brat." Tsunade said as she performed a spinning back kick. Naruto managed to block it with his hands crossed, but he was sent flying back, landing on the ground in a beaten heap.

"But you got a long way to go."

'Dammit. She's fast. Maybe even faster than Shisui-senpai. Well, I expected nothing less from granny.'

Naruto tried to form the sign for the Shunsin, but his hands were shaking so much from Tsunade's kick that he couldn't form the seal in time. 'Crap.'

"It's over brat." Tsunade said as she fired off a water style: Water bullet at Naruto. Desperate, Naruto could only try to block the incoming attack with a Fuuton: Great breakthrough.

"Naruto-kun!" Yugito cried as the attacks connected, and Naruto was flung backwards from the force of Tsunade's jutsu.

Still dazed, it took all of his concentration to create a shadow clone in midair to straighten himself and land safely. Breathing heavily, he raised his kunai as he stared at Tsunade, looking for any openings in her defence.

"You're experienced in using clones mid-battle." Tsunade observed. "Jiraya has trained you well, but you're far from being able to defeat me."

Naruto sighed, then smirked as his breathing stabilised. Everyone could feel the change almost immediately. Naruto's chakra became calm, as calm as the breezy grass field around them, and they could almost hear his breath on the wind.

'This feels similar to grandpa.' Tsunade thought as she slowly advanced. 'Just what is Naruto doing?'

'I need to ask where he learned that as well.' Jiraya thought

The other three women were simply confused as to what Naruto was doing.

'I bet it's a super cool technique!' Yugito sang happily in her mind.

"Granny!" Naruto shouted, causing Tsunade to look at him. "Watch out!"

"You're ten years too young to be worrying about me brat!" She scoffed as she shot an Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet at Naruto.

Naruto then spread his hand out in front of him, and wind chakra began spinning around his wrists at extremely high speeds, creating what looked like a tornado around his forearms.

Tsunade, Jiraya, Shizune, Yugito, and Mabui's jaws all collectively dropped as Naruto began swirling the earth element around his wrist, absorbing Tsunade's jutsu and making it his.

'Sensei definitely did not teach him that!' Jiraya thought.

Naruto continued swirling the jutsu around his arm, cocking it back before firing it right back at Tsunade, which forced her to drop and dodge the blast of earth and stone.

Jiraya's jaw was on the floor, his eyes bugged out like a cartoon character. "I've never seen any jutsu like that before! What was that? Who taught him that?"

Tsunade coughed and wiped the dirt off her arm as she stared at Naruto. "I see, you rotated wind chakra at extremely high speeds around your hands, creating a vacuum that acted a shield and sent my attack right back at me at a higher speed. Impressive, who taught you that?"

Naruto sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. "I made it. I got inspiration from the old war hawk's vacuum jutsu where his summon sucked up my exploding tags."

'Ingenious. Are you watching Minato, your son has come so far.' Tsunade thought.

"I call it the bleakwind storm!" Naruto said proudly as Jiraya fell out of the tree he was sitting in.

'He inherited Minato's terrible naming sense!' Jiraya mentally cried out in despair. 'Really, like father, like son. Although Minato's was worse.'

Tsunade just scrunched up her nose at the terrible name.

Yugito was bouncing up and down in excitement. "Naruto's amazing, he even made his own jutsu! Ne, Mabui-sensei, do you think he'll teach me that jutsu? Mabui-sensei, I want to make my own jutsu too!"

Watching Mabui try her best to calm the girl down, Jiraya sighed softly as his eyes softened. Patting Yugito's head, he said, "I'm sure he will. That boy really cares about his friends, and I don't think he could ever say no to you, based on what I've seen over these past three days."

"You gotta change the name Gaki. It sucks." Tsunade told him outright.

Naruto was so taken aback that he actually took a step back. "What? What's wrong with it? I thought it was awesome!" He looked to the spectators in search of approval.

"Nope. It sucks." Mabui and Shizune agreed. Jiraya nodded his head.

"I thought it was pretty cool Naruto." Yugito said in encouragement.

"Thanks Yugito chan, you're the only one here with any taste."

The fight restarted as Tsunade closed the distance, punching the ground close to Naruto, almost catching him and trapping him in the crater.

'Tajuu Kagebunshin no justu!' Naruto thought as hundreds of clones appeared on the frield, before charging at Tsunade with coordinated Taijutsu. Any lesser ninja would have folded from the clone's seemingly flawless coordination. But Tsunade was not a lesser ninja. Despite the surprising combinations of attacks that came from every angle, Tsunade managed to avoid most of the attacks and plow through the clones.

For every hit she got, she destroyed one clone. Soon, the entire field was covered with slowly dispersing smoke, hiding Naruto's position. 'All according to keikaku' Naruto thought.

Making more clones, he rushed out of the smoke, flinging more kunai at Tsunade as six clones henged into kunai.

Tsunade huffed as she deflected the regular kunai. "I'm getting bored gaki, got anything else up you sleeve?"

"Yeah!" Naruto shouted as he threw the henged clones in a circle around Tsunade, who didn't even bother to block them.

"You missed!" Yugito cried out.

"Did I?"

Jiraya's eyes widened in realisation.

Tsunade's eyes widened in panic as 5 kunais transformed back into clones, each holding a kunai to her vital organs.

She immediately spun, dispelling the clones with a freakishly strong backfist, but stopped when she felt the prick of a knife at her liver. Glancing down, it was the final 6th clone, which waited before catching her off guard.

Despite being beaten by a pre-ninja, Tsunade smiled. "You win gaki, fair and square."

"Hehe. Well granny. don't forget your promise." Naruto said. "You gotta come back and heal Shisui! Then you gotta become Hokage!" He was waving his arms excitedly, and it seemed that his excitement affected Tsunade, as she began to chuckle as well.

'Healing your friend I can do. Becoming Hokage… we'll see!" She replied with a grin.

"I need to get stronger…" Yugito said with stars in her eyes as she watched her newest friend beat one of the strongest ninja in the world in a spar.

Shizune was so surprised that she could not nothing but stand still with her mouth wide open.

"Oh! I almost forgot!" Tsunade said as she removed her necklace, before attaching it around Naruto's neck.

"Heh, Thanks Tsunade-baachan!"

"Don't call me that brat!" Tsunade shouted as she hit him on the head.

'But she's really his grandmother!' Jiraya thought, feeling sympathy for the poor boy.

Then Tsunade pulled Naruto's collar and gave him a peck on the forehead, like she had done for her son, so many years ago. 'You are my second chance Naruto,' Tsunade thought. 'And I will never allow anything to happen to you.'

Jiraya smiled as Tsunade finally broke out of her shell, even if just a little. Walking to join them on the field as Yugito glomped Naruto in a hug, he could almost see Minato and Kushina.

He shook his head as soon as the thought surfaced. Naruto was his own person, and it wasn't fair to think of him as a simple replacement for Minato. He loved them both, and neither could ever replace the other.

His thoughts gathered, Jiraya cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "Now that that's done, we need to head back to the leaf village. We'll be leaving in half an hour!
