Hey everyone! I am sooo sorry for the long wait. Been working, visiting family, enjoying summer, and my sister also got married. Anyway, here is Flying Mind. I hope you all like it. P.S. Sorry for any grammar errors.

Transformers Prime: The Medic's Assistant

Chapter 47: Flying Mind

Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers Prime

(Autobot base - Main hangar)

"Ouch!" Stormracer yelped as Ratchet treated her helm. Soon after Bulkhead explained what had happened, Ratchet immediately checked over and scanned his assistant to make sure she was fully okay. Thankfully all she had was a nasty dent on her helm. Meanwhile, Bulkhead was telling everyone what had happened to him and the teal femme.

"But when the insecticons finally backed off, I got inspired by my proximity to the power core and did what I do best." the wrecker said before pounding his fist into his servo.

"You trashed Megatron's ride like a rockstar in a hotel room," Miko cheered.

"You still gave my assistant amnesia!" Ratchet reminded the green mech as he gave him the continuous angry look.

Bulkhead nervously chuckled as he scratched the back of his head.

"Please don't be mad at him, Ratchet," Stormracer told her boss, "It wasn't his fault."

"He was responsible for your safety!" the medic argued, "Instead, you suffered not only memory loss, but wondered off on the Nemesis alone!"

"... I mean it could have been worse."

Ratchet only frowned at her, making her shrink in place. After a few seconds of silence, he then pointed at the corridor. "Go clean that paint off."

"Ratchet-"

"That's an order."

Letting out a vent, Stormracer got up and walked out of the hangar.

Once the teal femme was gone, Arcee looked at the others. "We should hit the cons right now while they're vulnerable."

"Megatron's warship may be grounded, but let's not forget that we remain vastly outnumbered. Especially since he has added the insecticon hive to his ranks." Ratchet reminded her.

"Then maybe it's time for me to call in an airstrike," Agent Fowler suggested.

"Or for us to consider more extreme measures, Agent Fowler," Optimus said.

Both Optimus and Ratchet walked off to one of the storage vaults. Opening the door, they looked at the relic placed in the center of the room.

"The spark extractor?" Ratchet said as he walked over to it, "Optimus, are you certain you want to travel down this path?"

"While I am deeply reluctant to deploy a weapon of this caliber, especially one forged by decepticon hands, this may be our only chance to end the war once and for all."

Soon Optimus and Ratchet appeared with the spark extractor in hand. Everyone's optics/eyes widened soon as they saw the relic.

"Whoa," Bulkhead said, "I know you said extreme, but I didn't think it would be that extreme."

"Are you sure, Optimus?" Bumblebee asked.

"We may not get another chance to put an end to Megatron's tyranny," Optimus told the scout, "And as destructive this relic is, it may be our only choice."

The others were quiet, but all silently agreed.

Just then an alert went off on the computer. Ratchet ran over to identify it while everyone got behind him.

"Optimus, I'm detecting a massive energy spike at the decepticon crash site. It appears to be dark energon."

"Then we must act now," the Prime said.

Setting in the coordinates, Ratchet activated the groundbridge for the team's departure.

"Autobots, transform and roll out!" Optimus ordered.

Bulkhead, Arcee, and Bumblebee transformed and drove into the portal. Optimus was about to follow before Agent Fowler stopped him.

"Hold on, Prime," the liaison said, "if you are going to deploy some kind of super weapon in the final showdown with the cons, it's my job as a representative of planet earth to bear witness."

Ratchet and Optimus glanced at one another before looking back at Fowler. Though reluctant, Optimus agreed and took Fowler with him.

Ratchet and the kids watched as the ground bridge deactivate behind the Prime and liaison. All was quiet afterwards as they waited.

While they waited for the team to call back, Sierra and Jack leaned against the rail and talked about their plans.

"So... nervous about the weekend?" Sierra asked.

Jack let out a light chuckle. "Who, me? Nah. What boyfriend wouldn't want to meet his girlfriend's parents who found out he was in a street race?" he said, trying to hide the fact he really was nervous.

"Hey, I talked to them about it, so its water under the bridge... Hopefully."

He gave her a look. "That doesn't sound very assuring."

"Sorry. It's just... I really want them to like you."

Jack smiled at her. Sliding his hand across the rail, he placed it on top of her hand. "It will be okay. I promise to be on my best behavior."

Sierra smiled back as she leaned in and rested her head on his shoulder. "You always are."

Their moment was interrupted as Stormracer walked back into the room with a rag in hand.

"Hey, Ratchet, do we have any more paint remover anywhere? I can't find it," she said.

"We should still have more in storage," the medic said, not even looking away from the computer screen.

The assistant soon noticed the others were nowhere to be seen. "Where'd Optimus and the others go?"

"Gone to pay the cons a visit in an epic showdown!" Miko said as she punched her fist into her hand, "they even took that spark extractor thingy with them. The cons won't know what hit em!"

Soon as she heard that, Stormracer's expression turned to a look of shock. "Wait, WHAT?!" She looked at Ratchet who was still looking at the computer. "Ratchet... please tell me they didn't."

Ratchet let out a vent as he turned to look at her. "Optimus made the call."

Stormracer felt her spark clench as she stared at him in disbelief. She knew how dangerous of a weapon the spark extractor was, and that it would kill anyone within its radius. What if the bots get caught in it? And... Knock Out. Knock Out was on the Nemesis!

Without even thinking, she blurted out, "WHY WOULD HE DO THAT?!"

Ratchet and the kids were surprised by her outburst as they looked at her in shock.

Realizing what she just did, she immediately dialed it down. "Why would Optimus take the spark extractor?!"

"Because this may be our only chance to stop Megatron and end the war," Ratchet explained.

"But the spark extractor?! It won't just take out Megatron's spark but... Ratchet, please make him reconsider!"

"Extreme as it is, it might be our only shot!"

"But there has to be another way!"

Just then Agent Fowler's voice interrupted them through the comm unit. "Teams down. Requesting med evac."

Ratchet and Stormracer immediately reacted as the medic opened the groundbridge and ran through with his assistant right behind him. Soon as they made it to the location, both were shocked at what they saw.

"By the Allspark," Ratchet murmured.

Optimus, Bulkhead, Arcee, and Bumblebee were all frozen in place, completely immobilized.

Hearing a noise, the medic and assistant looked up to see the Nemesis back in the sky and flying away from the site.

"How did they get their ship fixed so fast?" Stormracer asked.

Ratchet was about to respond before they heard Agent Fowler calling them over.

"Over here!" the agent shouted, waving his arms as he ran over to them.

"Fowler, are you alright?" Stormracer asked as they rushed over to meet him.

"I'm fine," he said, "but somethings wrong with Prime and the others. They're not moving."

Bumblebee being the closest, Ratchet scanned him. He was alive. But he appeared to be in some kind of stasis lock. "We need to get them back to base."

One by one, Ratchet and Stormracer carried the bots through the groundbridge portal. Once they reached Optimus, Stormracer saw the spark extractor on the ground next to him. While she was relieved the relic wasn't used, she was now worried about her friends. However, she was confused. Why didn't the cons grab the relic when they had the chance?

(Time skip)

Soon as Ratchet, Stormracer, and Fowler returned with the team, the kids looked at the immobile bots worryingly.

"They're alive," Ratchet assured them, "but I've never encountered this form of stasis lock."

"The cons are crossing the Atlantic, making a B line for north America," Fowler said.

"Wait, we can track them?" Jack asked as he and the others walked over.

"Why aren't they cloaked like usual?" Raf asked.

"None of this makes a lick of sense," Fowler said, "they had us in the crosshairs, but the cons just took off."

"They even bailed on that spark extractor thingy," Miko added.

"Megatron wouldn't just take off without grabbing something that powerful," Sierra said.

Jack thought for a second. "Well, if the ship isn't cloaked, maybe the communications relays open and-"

"Ep ep, are you suggesting that we just call Megatron and ask him what's happening up there?!" Ratchet asked.

The four kids looked at him before shrugging. Ratchet then looked at Fowler who shrugged as well. He then looked at his assistant. Like the others, she shrugged. He let out a defeated vent. "I cannot believe I'm doing this," he grumbled as he opened communications and called the Nemesis.

"Autobot Outpost Omega One to Decepticon warship," Ratchet said, "Megatron, please respond... Megatron."

Finally, someone answered... but it wasn't Megatron. "Megatron has been relieved of his command," an unfamiliar voice said.

"Who is this?" Ratchet asked.

"Who is this?"

"Have you taken control of the decepticon vessel?"

"I am the vessel."

"Say what now?" Stormracer asked.

"Any cybertronian who interferes with my mission will be neutralized." The computer then showed images of vehicons and insecticons standing in the Nemesis' halls, immobilized just like the bots.

Stormracer's optics widened when she saw an image of the decepticon medic frozen in place. Knock Out, she thought worryingly as the image disappeared.

"What mission?" Ratchet asked.

"Priority one, decrypt Iacon data base and recover decepticon technology."

"For what purpose?"

After a pause, the call was cut.

"It hung up?" Miko asked before folding her arms. "Ruude!"

"Rude?!" Agent Fowler exclaimed, "there's a giant spaceship flying around collecting decepticon weapons of mass destruction!"

"A giant spaceship filled with neutralized decepticons," Jack added.

"Point?" Fowler asked him.

"This could be our only chance to slip aboard and download the Iacon database."

"So Optimus can decode it," Raf said.

"Ingenious," Ratchet said, liking the idea. "I will infiltrate the decepticon warship."

"Not ingenious," Jack told him, "you saw what it did to the decepticons."

"And probably Megatron too," Raf added.

"And Team Prime!" Miko reminded him.

"We would end up neutralized like them," Stormracer said grimly.

"But that tub had me dead to right, and I'm still breathing," Fowler said with a smile.

"The ship may be blind to humans," Jack said.

"Very well, Agent Fowler," Ratchet said, "but at the first sign of trouble, I am bridging you right back here. Now, in order to download the database, you will need a compatable transfer drive."

"A what?" Fowler asked in confusion.

"He'll also need tech support," Raf volunteered.

"And backup," Miko added.

Both Ratchet and Stormracer looked at one another. Realizing they didn't have a choice, they agreed to let the humans go. Though Stormracer couldn't help but think about Knock Out. He was trapped up there and she couldn't get him out without being neutralized herself. And what about Team Prime? How would they free them from their frozen state?

(The Nemesis)

Soon as the humans went through the groundbridge, they found themselves in one of the dark corridors filled with neutralized vehicons.

"I really hate this place," Sierra said with a frown.

"Fowler to base; we're in," the human liaison told the medic.

"Good," Ratchet's voice said on speaker, "their data core should be accessible from any console."

The five humans walked down the hallway right by the frozen decepticons. It wasn't long before Raf stopped and gulped nervously. "Heh, here's one." he said as he pointed. Everyone looked to see the console... with an immobilized Knock Out standing there.

"Of course," Sierra groaned.

Miko ran over and banged her fist on the red con's leg. "Doc Knock is knocked out!"

"Look," Raf said, "the ships decoded two sets of Iacon coordinates." Just then the computer revealed another set. "Three! Let's rip and run!"

Fowler and Raf climbed up on Knock Out and hopped onto the console. "There's the port," Raf told the agent.

Fowler inserted the drive. Once he did, the computer immediately started downloading the Iacon data base.

Jack, Sierra, and Miko watched before the older boy noticed something on the screens. The ship was heading towards a destination. "Um, why's the warship heading for Manhattan?"

Everyone else looked at the same screen. "Because that's where the first set of coordinates are located?" Raf said.

"What would a relic from Cybertron be doing in the Big Apple?" Fowler asked.

"The Iacon relics landed on Earth eons ago, Agent Fowler." Ratchet said, "long before the city was built on top of it."

"Which means if the ship wants this one, it may have to move some buildings out of the way," Jack said.

"Buildings with many humans in them," Sierra added grimly.

"Our mission just got complicated," Fowler said as the other three kids climbed up to join him and Raf, "how do we deter this ship?"

"I would advise disabling the navigation module. Call off the main navigation menu." Ratchet instructed.

"There," Raf said, pointing it out.

"Step aside, son," Fowler said as he walked over to the control. However soon as he touched it, it released an electrical shock, electrocuting him in an instant. He let out a yell before falling of the console and landing on the floor.

"Agent Fowler!" Jack shouted as the kids ran to the edge to make sure he was okay.

The Agent let out a groan before blacking out.

"System access detected," the voice said, gaining the kids' attention, "interference will not be tolerated."

"There!" Raf said, pointing at the camera emerging from the ceiling. The camera scanned the room, trying to find the disturbance.

"Reveal yourself," the ship said as it looked around. Unable to detect the humans, it looked right past them.

"It doesn't see us," Miko said.

"Yet," Ratchet said, "the ship must not be scanning for carbon-based lifeforms. But once it widens its search parameters..."

"We're toast," Raf finished.

"I'm bridging you back."

"No," Jack said, "there are millions of lives at stake in New York. And we four are currently the only ones who can do anything about it."

"You're out of your element, Jack. These readings, the ship's rapid recovery, all point to the fact that Megatron employed dark energon to repair it."

"There has to be something we can do," Sierra said as she and the others climbed down.

"Hold on," Jack said while checking on Fowler, "if you're saying the ship is fueled by dark energon, we can dump it, right?"

"Hmm... you will need to reverse the warship's energon infuser. Follow the main overhead conduits. They'll lead you to the power core."

Leaving the unconscious Agent behind, the four kids ran down the corridor as they followed the conduits, going over and under vehicons in their way. It didn't take long for them to find the room they were looking for. Slowing down, they made their way past the tall towers of boxed energon. Soon as they reached the power core, the children gasped at who they saw.

Megatron.

Thankfully for the kids, he was also neutralized in place with his servo wrapped around the lever.

"Megatron had the same idea," Jack said as they approached.

"Then we're on the right track," Raf said.

"So, how do we reverse it?" Sierra asked.

"The energon injection valve can only be operated manually," Ratchet said.

"Manually?!" the kids exclaimed in unison.

Jack walked over to Megatron and looked up. "Help me up," he told the others.

"I'm coming with you," Sierra said.

With help from Raf and Miko, the two older kids began climbing up the decepticon leader. Soon as Jack made it onto Megatron's shoulder, he helped Sierra up before they both looked at the warlord. A chill immediately ran down both of their spines.

"You think he knows we're here?" Sierra asked grimly.

Not wanting to think about it, Jack slid down Megatron's chest before jumping onto the panel with Sierra following behind. They then got behind the lever in Megatron's grasp and tried pushing against the giant servo with all their might. But the lever refused to move.

"It won't budge!" Sierra grunted as they kept pushing.

Jack tried using his back to push, but still nothing. "We need more muscle."

While they were struggling, the ship began scanning the room. Now expanding its search perimeters, it detected two of the intruders on the floor.

"I am infested with alien lifeforms!" the ship exclaimed as the scan zoomed in on Miko and Raf.

Hearing the ship's voice, the two younger kids looked around before fearfully looking up at the camera.

"Uh oh!" Miko said, "we just got made."

They looked over at the claw used to insert the energon into the power core. The ship taking control of it, the claw stopped what it was doing and looked at the two before attacking. Miko and Raf jumped out of the way in time before the claw could get them. Immediately they ran into the maze of stacked energon with the claw in pursuit.

Unable to reach the intruders, the claw began knocking the stacked energon away to get to them.

Meanwhile up on the panel, fear struck the older kids once they saw what was happening.

"There's no way they'll escape that thing!" Sierra said.

Looking at Megatron, Jack thought of something. "I have an idea. Come on!"

While the two began climbing back down, Miko and Raf continued running through the stacks as they dodged the boxes crashing down around them. Both shrieked as a crate fell in front but was thankfully stopped by the two other boxes underneath, allowing them to run through. However, the two soon found themselves in a dead end. Now trapped, they looked up to see the claw removing the boxes before getting a clear view of them.

"All parasites will be irradicated," the ship said.

"Hey, over here!"

Hearing the voice, the claw looked away to see another human standing there.

Jack glared at the claw as he stood his ground.

"Jack, no!" Raf shouted.

"Run for it!" Miko exclaimed.

The claw then lunged at the black-haired boy, only for Jack to shoulder roll out of the way and run. The claw intercepted him immediately and went to grab him.

"Hey!"

Hearing another voice, the claw turned around to see a fourth human with red hair. Sierra smirked as she got into position.

"Come and get me!" she boldly shouted.

The claw lunged at her as well, only for her to leap out of the way. The claw chased after her as she ran up onto a structure. Seeing the claw coming at her again, she went to jump, only for the claw to rattle the structure she was on. Losing her balance, she landed wrong and hurt her ankle. "AH!" she yelped as she fell on her side. She winced as pain shot through her ankle, making her believe she sprained it.

The claw slowly approached her before Jack called it over again.

"Hey! Forgetting someone?!"

The claw looked around before seeing the black-haired boy waving at it. Again, it went to grab him, only for the boy to yet again dodge.

"Too slow!" Jack yelled tauntingly.

However, the claw got in front of him, this time determined to finish him off.

Jack looked behind him, seeing Megatron right there. Perfect. He smirked before looking back at the claw. As he expected, the claw lunged at him. Immediately he leaped passed the claw's pinchers, escaping its clutches.

Instead of getting the human, the claw hit Megatron's leg. It pulled away, but it was too late. The impact caused the warlord to start falling back... making his servo pull the lever down before letting go.

Jack ran and leaped out of the way before the giant robot could fall on top of him. Boom! Megatron landed hard onto his back with Jack thankfully out of the way.

Immediately the core began draining the dark energon and replacing it with the normal blue energon.

"Critical power drain," the ship said. Turning the claw around, it went to attack Jack, but stopped inches away from him once it realized it was losing control. "I am... in... command." It slowly and shakingly pulled away as it brought its focus to the controls. "Prepare to be... neutralized." But before it could reach the lever, it stopped inches away before shutting down.

Sierra, Miko, and Raf went over to Jack with the two younger kids helping the redhead who was now limping.

"Are you guys alright?" Jack asked.

"We're okay," Raf assured him.

Jack looked at Sierra with a concerned look, "your ankle..."

"It's just a sprain," she assured him, "I'll live."

The dark energon was then ejected out of the core, stopping the threat once and for all.

However, now there was a new problem.

Not long after the dark energon was extracted, Megatron's arm fell to his side as his mobility returned. A groan escaping from the metal giant, the kids fearfully backed away.

"Run!" Jack said.

The other two ran ahead while Jack got in front of Sierra.

"Hop on!" he told her.

Immediately she hopped onto his back and held on tight once he started running. The four hightailed out of there and darted down the corridor. They didn't dare stop as the vehicons began moving as well around them.

(Autobot Base)

Back at the base, Optimus and the others regained their mobility as they all groaned in unison.

Both the medic and the assistant vented in relief.

"They did it," Stormracer said with a smile.

"Thank the Allspark," Ratchet said.

Jack's voice then came in through the comm unit, sounding very urgent as it gained their attention.

"Ratchet, Stormracer, fire up the ground bridge!"

(The Nemesis)

Finally making it back to the console, Jack set Sierra down while Miko went to help Fowler who let out a groan.

"On your feet, soldier," Miko said as she tried helping him up.

"And beavers and ducks and walnuts and Grandma!" Fowler said before blacking out again, making the Japanese girl lose her hold and drop him.

Raf, Jack, and Sierra looked at him before turning their attention to the screen. The computer beeped as it downloaded a fourth set of coordinates.

"That's all that's been downloaded?!" Jack asked in disbelief.

"The Iacon file must be huge," Raf said.

A groundbridge portal then appeared from behind, giving them passage back to the autobot base.

"Sweet!" Miko said as she helped Fowler back up, "come on, here's our ride."

Raf and Sierra followed behind with the young boy helping the redhead.

Jack however stayed behind and looked back at the screen.

Realizing the older boy wasn't following, Raf looked over at him. "Jack?"

"Get Fowler and Sierra out of here," Jack said as he made his way towards Knock Out.

Realizing he was going for the drive, Sierra tried to stop him. "Jack, leave it! Knock Out will wake up any second!"

"I'll be right behind you. Now go!"

Worried for him, Sierra hurried with the others through the portal and back into base. She wasted no time to tell the medic and the assistant. "Jacks still on the other side! He needs help!"

Ratchet immediately ran through the portal while Stormracer helped with Agent Fowler. That's when she noticed her friend was limping. "Sierra, you're hurt!"

"I'm okay," she assured her, "I just sprained my ankle. Fowler needs more attention than I do right now."

It wasn't long before Ratchet returned with Jack in hand, along with the drive.

Sierra immediately limped over to Jack once the medic set him down. "You okay? What happened?"

"I'm okay," he assured her, "besides from Knock Out almost giving me some serious dental work."

The red head let out a sigh of relief before swatting his arm.

"Ow!" he yelped as he rubbed his arm.

"Don't ever do that again!" she scolded him. But her frown was soon replaced with a smile as she hugged him tight. Jack smiled and returned the hug to his girlfriend.

With Fowler resting on a human sized gurney and Sierra sitting down with an ice pack on her ankle, everyone gathered around the computer to look at the four Iacon relic coordinates on the screen.

"The download of the Iacon data base may have been incomplete, but we now possess four sets of coordinates decoded by the ship," Ratchet said.

"Then we must act quickly," Optimus said, "for Megatron possesses the same four sets... and he will not hesitate to obtain the potential doomsday devices which lay at the site of each."

And that was Flying Mind. Hope you all liked it. Next chapter will be the four Ts but of course, Stormracer will take part in only one of them. And I know a bunch of you are hoping she will be in Tunnel Vision because Knock Outs in it, but I want the teams to still have at least two per relic, so having Stormracer with Arcee and Bumblebee would be too many. And unfortunately, Sierra will be sitting out for this one. Sorry lol.

Also, I am still open to constructive criticism. I want to continue writing stories and I want to make sure I do a good job at it as well. So, if there's anything you think I need to work on, character or story wise, etc, please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyway, thank you all for reading and hopefully I will update again soon. And for those of you in Canada, Happy Thanksgiving! Until next time! God bless!
