Author's note
Dear readers,
This is a sequel to my other Peter Pan-fiction 'Battle for Neverland' five years later (our time.) This story will stand on its own and I will summarize the previous story in the prologue, nevertheless you would do well if you read 'Battle for Neverland' first, because the second will make more sense.
The following story will includes more adult content since Wendy is almost a grownup and change is inevitable, but there will be also the fantastic, magical things Peter's world is made of as well, all the fantastical beings we love that live in Neverland, and new ones you'll love. You also will meet the Hobgoblin Bumblyn again, along with his strange fellow, the nyxx Esteban (the Klabauterman of the Jolly Roger).
And there will be also new characters.
Here is a short summary:
A few months before Wendy turns 18, she is wearying of all the social events her parents insist she must attend to find her a suitable husband. As Peter finally comes to take her back to Neverland, she finds herself trapped and confined between the last of her childhood and of the expectations of maturity – especially when she meets her favourite 'villain' again. As her insistent suitor, Dalton Ashford, follows her to Neverland, the delicate balance between the Island of Eternal Youth and the Mainland is skewed. Dalton has his own reasons why he stepped on Neverland's shores and they have nothing to do with his supposed affection of Wendy. While Hook's feelings for 'his' storyteller deepen to a degree he thought himself incapable, and Peter still tries to deny that 'his' Wendy isn't the little girl from earlier adventures anymore, Ashford throws Neverland and, by extension, the Mainland into chaos that demands intervention by the new and former Lost Boys and the Darlings. Even the fairies are forced to break rules by sending someone back to the Mainland who was destined to sail Neverland's seas forever: Hook. In a London that is utterly strange to him now, Hook and his new allies try to "save the day" in both worlds – and to fulfil:
Their Hearts' Desire.
I sincerely anticipate your remarks, comments, etc. in the reviews!
Disclaimer: I do not own Peter Pan nor any of the characters that J. M. Barrie created, and no money has changed hands in the creation of this story. However, there have been many hours of delight and discussion, for which there is no way to assign a monetary value. The other characters are mine. This disclaimer is valid for the whole story.
I hope you are going to enjoy this story and would be very happy to receive some reviews.
Have fun,
Yours Lywhn / Starflight
