Chapter 1: The Dragons Light
Duel Monsters. (People dueling) A card game that many people use to build connections to one another or settle some differences. When a person looks at these cards, they believe they are just ink and paper, but they are wrong. You see these cards are like windows or doorways that allow the Spirits portraying them to interact with our world. The Spirits have tremendous powers that can either save the world…or destroy it. (Buildings exploding)
Chaos. That was just one word to sum up what was happening. The world was at one point at peace, that is until one person went mad with power. This person's name is Zarc and he has become a demon. Zarc was once a benevolent pro duelist that wanted to bring entertainment by doing tricks whilst dueling. However, one day there was an incident, Zarc had accidently hurt his opponent after landing the final blow in a duel… and the crowded had cheered. This would be the start of Zarc's dark downfall as he gave the people what they wanted. More and more duelists became injured and almost killed dueling Zarc, until eventually Zarc decided EVERYONE will be his opponent. He fused with his duel dragons: Odd Eyes Dragon, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, thus becoming Supreme King Z-Arc. He started going on a rampage all over the world, killing anyone and destroying anything that got in his way. Anyone that looks at the dragon king would call him nothing but evil.
"What's wrong humans? Didn't you all want a more brutal duel? HAHAHAHA!" Supreme King Z-Arc laughed.
However, what no one knew is that inside of this demon's mind was an entirely different story.
(Stop it you bastard! Leave them alone!) ? demanded.
(Aw what's wrong Zarc? Isn't this what you wanted? To be the strongest? The best?) Supreme King Z-Arc asked.
(NO! Not like this)" Zarc yelled.
(Well too bad because I did! HAHAHAHA!) Supreme King Z-Arc taunted his prisoner.
(Damn you!) Zarc grunted.
Yes, Zarc had not completely turned evil. It was just his Darkness that took his body for itself while trapping Zarc and his light within.
(You can struggle all you want; it won't change a thing!) Supreme King Z-Arc sneered.
(Grrr…) Zarc growled.
As much as he hated to admit, his Darkness was right. He couldn't do anything… at least right now. All he needed was to wait for the right moment. Luckily for Zarc, the right moment was here.
"ZARC!" ? yelled.
The beast turns its head to the voice that called out and saw a girl with long maroon and dark red hair.
(Ray?!) Zarc gasped. (What's she doing here?!)
"Well, well. If it isn't little Ray. What do you think you're doing?" Supreme King Z-Arc asked condescendingly as it turned its 'body' to her
"I'm here to stop you Zarc!" Ray answered while deploying her duel disk.
Supreme King Z-Arc looked at her for a few seconds before bursting into laughter.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Supreme King Z-Arc laughed. "Now that's a good one! You, beating me! HAHAHAHAHA!"
"Yes, I will!" Ray responded, unflinching.
"And how do you plan on that?" Supreme King Z-Arc sneered at the girl.
"With these!" Ray answered as she placed four cards on her disk then put her right arm up.
The four cards then appeared bigger over her head. A bright glow then shone from them.
"What is this? What are you doing?!" Supreme King Z-Arc demanded. "ANSWER ME!"
Ray didn't say anything as energy began to flow into the cards. Energy that came from the flowers, wind, birds and moon.
(HA! Looks like Ray and her dad came up with a plan to beat you Z-Arc.) Zarc smirked.
"Ray no! Don't do this!" a man called/begged.
(Professor Leo?) Zarc asked.
Leo Akaba, Ray's father, ran towards the stairs that led up to Ray, but he ran into a barrier of light that stopped him and knocked him to the ground.
"Ray no! Those cards contain all the forces of Nature! Your body can't withstand all that energy! Stop it Ray please! You aren't going to survive!" Leo begged her again.
Ray said nothing as four bracelets appeared on her arm. The jewels in their center glowed brightly.
Z-Arc started to feel the effects of the Natural Energy Cards. He could feel the four dragons used to make his Supreme King Z-Arc form being ripped out of him.
"AS IF I'D ACTUALLY LET YOU GO THORUGH WITH IT!" Supreme King Z-Arc yelled as he raised his arm to attack.
Seeing as all his darkness's attention was on Ray, Zarc knew this was his chance.
(I won't let you! That is ENOUGH!) the boy yelled as light exploded from him.
(NANI?!) the being of darkness shouted.
Outside the monster, the two Akaba's saw the dragon lift its arm up.
'No! I just need a little more time!' Ray said.
"RAY!" her father cried out.
Just then, light exploded out of Z-Arc and freezing it in place.
"Im-Impossible!" Supreme King Z-Arc grunted in pain.
"What…" Leo started.
"…is this?" Ray finished.
The light took the forms of chains, wrapping themselves all over Z-Arc. (Think Terra from Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep – A Fragment Passage)
Just as the Akaba's were wondering what was going on, they saw a figure of light take shape. As it took form its arms were stretched out at its sides. When they saw the face, both of their eyes widened.
"ZARC?!" the daughter and father yelled in shock.
"Hurry Ray!" Zarc told her. "Whatever it is you're about to do, do it fast!"
"W-Wait, Zarc? Is that really you?" Ray asked, lowering her arm.
"I'm sorry, for everything Ray!" Zarc said. "I messed up and allowed all this to happen!"
"How is this possible?" Leo asked as he looked at the dragon. "Isn't Supreme King Z-Arc you?"
"No, he isn't!" Zarc answered. "It's my Darkness that gained a will of its own!"
"You're Darkness?" Leo gasped looking back at him.
"Damn you Zarc!" Supreme King Z-Arc snarled. "I thought you didn't have any strength left! I thought showing you all the destruction would cause your will to waver; your light to be swallowed into the darkness!"
"Then I guess we really ARE two different people then Z-Arc!" Zarc smirked as he looked at the monster over his shoulder before turning back towards Ray. "Now hurry! I can't hold him back much longer!"
"But these cards were meant to target the evil inside you." Ray said looking down. "If there's still light then…"
"It doesn't matter?!" Zarc snapped, causing Ray to look back up at him in surprise. "You have to stop him, no matter what!"
"But you'll be lost to the void!" Ray shouted with tears in her eye's.
"Ray…" Leo said saddened for his daughter but hoping she doesn't use the cards.
"If that is my punishment for letting a monster like this to be created, then so be it." Zarc said.
Ray gasped before her hair shadowed her eyes. Z-Arc began to chuckle.
"That's right. If you do anything to me, then little Zarcy here goes bye-bye too!" Supreme King Z-Arc smirked.
"…I'm sorry." Ray said with her eyes still shadowed.
"No, I'm the one who's sorry Ray." Zarc said with a small smile. "I hope we can meet again someday."
Ray then lifts her head up. Tears running down her face but with eye's full of determination as she throws her arm back up into the air, allowing the energy to be unleashed.
"NOOOO!" Supreme King Z-Arc screamed, trying to break free.
It was too late however, as a burst of light energy pulled not only the dragons out of Z-Arc, but also split him into four pieces as well. Sadly, the same happened to Ray too. When the little died down, Zarc found himself alone in a void. Zarc looked down at to see he still had his cloths on thankfully.
"Well, that's good at least." Zarc shrugged to himself. "Won't have to be a naked Spirit floating in the endless void for the rest of eternity."
Zarc then sighed, his shoulders slouching.
"This is going to be boring." Zarc sighed as he leaned back with his arms behind his head. "Oh well. Might as well get comfortable."
"I wouldn't suggest that." an unknown voice said. "Seeing as we won't be here for very long."
In his surprise, Zarc started looking all over where the voice came from, and he ended up floating upside down that led for him seeing behind him. Standing there were two tanned skinned people, one a man carrying a sceptre the other a young girl holding a rod, dressed in some old fashion clothing. Zarc blinked at them before waving.
"Ah… Hello?" Zarc said with uncertainty.
"Hi!" the girl said as she waved back.
"Greetings Zarc." the man nodded while using his scepter to spin Zarc back upwards.
"Thanks. So… you are you and how did you get here?" Zarc asked.
"Of course. My name is Mahad, and this is my student, Mana." Mahad introduced himself and her.
"We got here by using our powers as Duel Spirits." Mana said.
"Duel Spirits are real!" Zarc gasped.
"Yes. You could hear your cards speaking to you, correct?" Mahad asked with a small smile.
"Whoa. Okay… but why are you here?" Zarc couldn't help but ask.
"For you Zarc." Mahad answered.
"Me?" the duelist asked.
"Yes, for you see. Your battle is not yet over." Mahad said.
"My battle? With who?" Zark asked.
"With your Darkness." Mana said.
"No, Z-Arc is done for." Zarc said before becoming sad. "Thanks to… Ray."
"The fight my be over for now. But the war isn't." Mahad said, getting Zarc's attention.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"The other you isn't gone." Mana said while trying to find the right phrase. "It's just… asleep. In the souls of your counterparts."
"My… 'counterparts'?" Zarc asked with an eyebrow raised and a head tilt.
"Allow me to explain." Mahad said as he waved his scepter.
The void suddenly lit up as star appeared around them.
"WOW!" Zarc awed.
"You're going to thinking that a lot soon." Mana giggled.
He then noticed four Planets.
"What are those?" Zarc asked.
"Those are the four dimensions that your friend created using the Natural Energy Cards." Mahad answered.
"WHAT?!" Zarc asked.
"Yup!" Mana said. "Normally their separate, but we showed them together to make things easier for you. They're the Standard, Fusion, Synchro and Xyz dimensions."
"Why are they called that?" Zarc asked.
"Because that is the worlds that your dragons were based on." Mahad answered.
"My dragons?" Zarc asked before realizing what he meant. "Ah! You mean?"
"That's right!" Mana said. "Odd Eye's is a standard monster. Starving Venom is a fusion monster. Clear Wing is a synchro monster. Finally, Dark Rebellion is a Xyz monster (Picture each dragon when they are mentioned). The people of these worlds can only summon using the summoning their worlds are based on."
"Not only were the dragons separated but your Darkness and friend was as well." Mahad continued.
"What do you mean?" Zarc asked.
"To make sure your dark self doesn't return, the cards split Z-Arc into four quarters of itself, trapping each one, based on your appearance, in a different dimension." Mahad started to explain. "But to ensure that the pieces can't find one another, they need a watcher."
"A watcher?" the boy asked.
"Someone to keep an eye on them." Mana said.
"That is where your friend come into play." Mahad said.
"Ray? You mean she's…" Zarc asked.
"Alive? In a sense." Mahad answered. "Her spirt pieces are stored in the bracelets that her counterparts hold. Her body on the other hand was split up like yours was and was reincarnated so to speak."
"Does she have her memories?" Zarc asked.
"Her spirit pieces, yes. Her counterparts do not." Mahad answered.
"Also, normally no one can cross into the other dimensions." Mana pipped in.
"Alright. So, what's the problem then?" Zarc asked confused. "It sounds to me that evil me can't get to the other worlds."
"I did say 'normally'." Mana said.
"Yeah, so?" Zarc asked.
Mahad, instead to answering him, simply waved his scepter again. Bring them to the Xyz Planet and arriving in a beautiful city. (Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V Heartland City) As Zarc looked around, Mahad started talking.
"This is Heartland City, in the Xyz dimension." Mahad said.
"It beautiful." Zarc said.
"Yes, it is." Mahad agreed. "For now, that is."
"What do you mean?" Zarc asked while turning to him.
Once again Mahad said nothing as he waved his hand. The scene around them blurred until…
"What… the… fuck?" Zarc asked, horrified at what laid before him with wide eyes. The once beautiful city turned to ruins (Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V Heartland City Ruins).
"This is Heartland 14 years from now." Mahad said with sadness in his voice.
"W-Why? What happened?" Zarc asked.
"They did." Mana answered pointing, also saddened.
Zarc looked to where Mana was pointing, seeing a duel between two men in progress. One was dressed in ragged clothing having two monsters on his field, while the other was dressed in military clothing having two of the same monsters on his field as well as a face down card in his spell/trap zone.
"A duel?" Zarc asked.
"Watch closely." Mahad advised.
"I now take my two dinosaur monsters and build the overlay network!" the ragged duels said. "I Xyz summon Rank 4: Evolzar Dolkka! Now I'll attack your Ancient Gear Hound."
"Ha, nice try Xyz trash! I activate my trap card Mirror Force! Your monster is destroyed!" the military smirked.
The Xyz monster exploded into pixels, causing the guy to growl.
"I place two cards face down and end my turn." he said.
"My turn. Draw!" military grinned like a savage. "Those cards you placed are useless to you, just like your pathetic Xyz monsters."
"Shut the hell and make your move already!" the Xyz duelist snapped.
"Alright then. I activate the Spell card Polymerization!" the military called out.
"He's what?!" Zarc asked. He turned to look at Mahad to ask but Mahad held up his hand to stop Zarc. He looked the duelist in the eyes and shook his head. Zarc understood and turned back to the duel.
"I fusion my two Ancient Gear Hound Dog's on the field with the one in my hand to Fusion summon Level 7: Ancient Gear Triple Hunting Hound!" the military announced. (Just a heads up now, I won't be putting in those chants some of the duelist used for their summons. Its cool and shit don't get me wrong, but that would mean I would have to come up with my own OC summon chants and I'm not good at it, sorry but no.)
A three headed mechanical dog took the field. It growled at the Xyz user.
"Battle!" the now reviled Fusion user called out. "Triple Hunting Hound, attack directly! Also, you can't activate any Spells or Traps when he attacks!"
Xyz user LP: 2800 - 1000
"One more thing…" the Fusion user gave a sickening grin. "My monster can attack up to three times per battle phase."
"Crap!" the Xyz user shouted.
"Triple Hunting Hound! Attack again and end this!" the fusion commanded.
The monster leaped at the Xyz user again
"Ghaaa!" the Xyz user cried as he landed on his back.
Xyz user LP: 1000 - 0
Winner: Fusion user
Now that the duel was over Zarc turned to the two and asked his question.
"I thought you said people can only use the summoning method of the respected world and that can't reach the other dimensions?"
"Like I said, normally that is the case." Mana said. "But if someone was able to find a way to do it then…"
"They could travel to the other dimensions." Mahad finished for his student.
"I guess that makes sense, yeah." Zarc relented. "But why show me that duel?"
Before they could answer him, Zarc heard the Xyz user causing him to turn back.
"No please! Stop!" he begged.
"Now why would I do that?" the Fusion user sarcastically. "Not when I went through all the trouble."
"But why?!" he shouted. "Why are you doing all of this?! What's even the point of hunting us down?!"
'Hunting them down?' Zarc thought a little put off. "What does he mean by that?"
"Keep watching." Mahad said, without any expression in his voice.
"The reason?" the Fusion user asked with a head tilt and a grin on his face. "Because it's fun, that's why."
The Fusion user then held up his duel disk and pushed a button on it. A bright purple light shined and when it died down, the Xyz user was gone.
"Hey, where'd he go?" Zarc asked.
"Look at his feet." Mana instructed in a sad voice.
Zarc did what he was told and saw a card.
"A card?" Zarc muttered as the Fusion user picked it up.
"And that's another one carded." He smirked.
Zarc was able to see the picture on the card and he was horrified. The Xyz user from before was on it.
"He… He turned him into a card." Zarc looked at the two. "Why? How?"
"To answer that question, we must go back to the start." Mahad said as he waved his hand.
In a flash of white, they had arrived in a park. Zarc looked around and saw everything was fine. Nothing was destroyed.
"This is the Standard Dimension, in our current age point." Mahad explained.
"You mean, as of right now?" Zarc asked to which Mahad nodded.
"But why are we here?" Zarc asked.
"Because of him." Mana answered as she pointed to the side.
The human turned to see an old face.
"Leo Akaba?!" Zarc gasped.
Standing there was the man himself, looking around him in a confused state.
"After the dimensions split apart, Leo Akaba ended up here in this one." Mahad explained.
"Why?" Zarc asked in confusion.
"Think of this dimension as a less technological version of your old one." Mahad answered him.
"But…" Mana started to say getting Zarc's attention. "Even though he survived, parts of that world became suppressed memories. Like the ones of his daughter."
"Really?" Zarc said feeling sorry for the man.
"Yes, but over time he began to remember everything about what happened." Mahad continued. "Which is what leads us too what you saw."
"What do you mean." Zarc asked. "How is Ray's dad involved?"
"When he reclaimed all his memories, Leo Akaba makes it his personal mission to capture the counterparts of his daughter and combines them to bring her back." Mahad said.
"Which will lead to war between the four dimensions." Mana added.
"No…" Zarc whispered until he realized something. "Wait, what would happen to Ray's pieces? If they're their own person with their own minds and souls, what happens to them?"
Mana looks away with a face of sorrow, while Mahad closes his eyes as if he's preparing himself before speaking.
"They will cease to exist." Mahad said.
Zarc's eyes widened in horror.
"N-Nani? You mean… They'll die?! But why?! Why would Leo do something like that?! To kill four girls that are no different then his own daughter?!" Zarc demanded.
"Because to him… they AREN'T his daughter." Mana explained getting his attention. "To him… they aren't real people, just four girls that are copied pieces of his TRUE daughter, that need to be put together so she can come back. Like a puzzle."
Zarc is horrified at what he hears as he turns to look at said man.
"He knows he can't do it himself, so he plans to gather an army to carry out his dirty work for him." Mana continues. "He figures out how to travel to the other dimensions, ends up in the Fusion dimension, lies to them about making a utopia for all the dimensions, makes them invade the other dimensions with Xyz being first, has them turn the people into cards to fuel his machine that will fuse Ray's counterparts together which he has people looking out for and when they find her sends someone to capture her."
"But in doing all this, he is unknowingly paving the path towards Z-Arc's resurrection through your counterparts. Only this time you won't be there to stop it." Mahad finished.
Zarc continues to look at the man who will soon bring terror to the dimensions as he clenches his fists, then turns towards the Duel Spirits.
"How do we stop him?" He asked.
"Sadly, we can't stop him from starting his plans, but we CAN intervein in the middle of them." Mahad explained.
"But you can't do it the way you are now." Mana said.
"Why not?" Zarc asked with a head tilt.
"Did you forget that you're a spirit now too?" she asked.
"*Blinks* Oh right." Zarc responded.
"Yes, but you wouldn't be the first to be in a situation like this." Mahad said. "Our master was the same way. All we need is to find someone to be your host."
"Wait what?! I don't want to possess someone!" Zarc exclaimed.
"Oh no, it's not possessing!" Mana hurried to explain. "It's more like… sharing a body! The person you choose is still in control, you're just 'moving in' so to speak."
"Your souls will be united, but still separate individuals." Mahad cleared up a bit more.
"*Sighs* Oh, that's what you meant." Zarc sighed in relief. "Be more clear next time."
"I'm sorry." Mana bowed.
"Now with that out of the way…" Mahad said as he waved his scepter allowing the area to light up, bring them back to their starting point, just without the Planets. "We must find you a partner that has a solid deck build."
"Why not use my deck?" Zarc asked.
"You haven't noticed?" Mana asked him
"Noticed what?" he asked back.
The girls only response was pointing at his deck holder… or rather lack of one. When the duelist looks, he freaks out.
"What the?! Where's my deck?! Where's my cards?!" Zarc asks as he searches his whole body. (Picture him patting all over his body)
"I afraid they were destroyed when the dimensions became four." Mahad explained.
Upon hearing this, slumps down.
"Aw man…" Zarc moaned.
"If it makes you feel better, you're not the one who's actually dueling." Mana said trying to cheer him up. "Hence finding you a partner that's a duelist in the first place."
"And it would be better if they stick with the deck they know best, then to switch it with one they don't." Mahad added with some wisdom.
"That is true I guess." Zarc admitted as he stood up. "But who are you going to choose? Someone from the four dimensions?"
"We were thinking, a little bit further out." Mana said cryptically.
"Huh?" Zarc asked.
"Zarc, there are more dimension then just the four you saw." Mahad answered.
"Really?!" Zarc said shocked.
"Yup! Some even stronger than you or Z-Arc put together." Mana said with a giggle.
"That's cool to know, but it doesn't answer my question." Zarc pointed out.
"I was just getting to that." Mahad said. "In these other worlds, dueling is at a higher level then it is here. There are even monster types you've never heard of before. Different summoning and Extra Deck summoning's."
"Really?" Zarc asked.
"Yeah! There're so many duelists out there." Mana added. "And we have a way of narrowing it down for you."
"How so?" he asked.
"Simple. We just need the type of deck you want, if they use the extra deck, the gender of the duelist plus any characteristics they have. Stuff like that." Mana explained.
"That's… a lot of things to list." Zarck said with a sweatdrop.
"Then perhaps we should take it step by step." Mahad suggested. "Starting with the gender."
"Oh, that's easy! A guy for sure!" Zarc said without hesitation.
Mana then got in his face.
"What do you mean 'a guy for sure'?! Why not a girl, huh?!" she demanded with an angered pout to which he answered with one word.
"…Bathroom." Zarc answered, his cheeks getting a little pick.
Hearing that answer Mana backed off, her own face becoming really red.
"O-Oh… that's a REALLY good reason… sorry." Mana apologized.
Mahad clears his throat to get their attention, even though he has a slight smirk.
"Yes, now since that is cleared up. Any preferred typing?" Mahad asks.
"Well… since I don't have my dragons anymore… know any good dragon decks that uses the extra deck well?" Zarc asked.
"A few come to mind." Mahad answered. "Now the most important thing; your partner for this journey."
Zarc crossed his arms to think about this.
"He has to be a nice guy for starters, don't want an arrogant jerk after all. He must be courageous too since this is going to be dangerous. As well as kind hearted." Zarc listed off.
"Those are some good qualities to have." Mana agreed.
"Anything else?" Mahad asked him.
"No. I rather see my choices and choose from there." Zarc said.
"Are you sure?" Mana asked.
"Better to see them in person and how they act in real life then on paper right?" Zarc said.
"Fair enough." Mahad said. "Then let us see what the dimensions have in store shall we."
The three were encased in a ball of light that took them from the void and sent them to find a promising partner for Zarc.
It was a clear sunny afternoon. People were enjoying the weather as they headed to places they needed to get to. A couple of kids were running past a card game store as inside there were cheers being heard. Apparently, the store was holding a tournament where first place was giving away a rare duel monsters card. It was down to the two finalists, as the first duelist had no cards on the field but two in his hands, while the second duelist had one card in the spell/trap zone on his field and two in his hands. It also looks like they're making their final moves.
"I activate the Ritual Spell card: Chaos Form!" the first duelist said. "By banishing Blue Eye's Solid Dragon, I Ritual Summon Level 8: Blue Eye's MAX Dragon!"
Blue Eye's MAX Dragon
Star: ********
ATK/Def: 4000/0
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Chaos Form". Must be Ritual Summoned. Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects, also it cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. If this card attacks a Defence Position monster, inflict double piercing battle damage.
The duelist places the ritual monster on the placemat, at least he was about to if his opponent did stop him first.
"Not before I activate my Maxx "C" effect first." the second duelist spoke up as he showed off his monster card. "Now every time you special summon a monster, I get to draw a card until the end of this turn."
As the S.D. (second duelist) discarded his monster to the drop zone, his opponent scoffed.
"Not like it's going to help you." F.D. (first duelist) said as he placed his monster down in the monster zone.
"Don't be too sure." S.D. said with a smirk as he drew his card. "You might be surprised."
"Whatever, it doesn't change the fact that this duel and that rare card is mine! I attack you directly!" F.D. announced.
"You said my extra card wouldn't help me, right?" S.D. chuckled. "Well, I think it'll help me a lot, especially right now."
"What?" F.D. asked as S.D. showed him his freshly drawn card.
"I activate The Golden Swordsoul's effect!" S.D. announced as he placed his monster on the field. "When your monster attacks I can special summon mine and negate it."
"Damn… I end my turn." F.D. grunted. "Go ahead and end yours already. You don't have anything that can beat MAX anyways. You might as well give up."
"Now why would I do that?" S.D. asked with a smile as he drew his card. "When my victory is already set."
"Huh?" F.D. asked as S.D. reached for his face down card.
"I activate my Spell card: Branded Bond!" S.D. announced as he flipped the card face up. "This card allows me to Special Summon 1 Fallen of Albaz from my hand, GY or banished zone. I summon him from the banished zone!"
S.D. takes a card from the banished pile and places it in the monster zone.
"And since he was special summoned, I can activate his effect." S.D. said holding up the last card in his hand. "By discarding a card in my hand to the GY, I can fusion summon using Albaz and a monster on your side of the field."
"NO WAY!" F.D. screamed with his eyes wide open. "But my monster can't be effected by your card effects!"
"My monster's effect is the same as Super Polymerization." S.D. explained. "I fuse Fallen of Albaz and your Blue Eye's MAX Dragon to Fusion Summon level 8: Titaniklad the Ash Dragon!"
Titaniklad the Ash Dragon
Star: ********
Atk/Def:2500/2000
"Fallen of Albaz + 1 monster with 2500 or more ATK

After this card is Fusion Summoned, for the rest of this turn, it is unaffected by the activated effects of any other monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was sent there this turn: You can add to your hand, or Special Summon, 1 "Dogmatika" monster or 1 "Fallen of Albaz" from your Deck. You can only use this effect of "Titaniklad the Ash Dragon" once per turn.
"When Titaniklad is fusion summoned his attack is increased equal the combined level of the fused monster times 100." S.D. explained.
"So, 8+4X100=…" F.D. tried to figure out the total.
"1200." S.D. answered. "Meaning my monster now has 3700!"
Titaniklad the Ash Dragon
Atk:2500 - 3700
"Oh… crap." F.D. said.
"Battle!" S.D. announced. "Titaniklad attacks you directly!"
F.D. LP:2700 - 0
Winner: S.D.
"AND WE HAVE A WINNER LADIES AND GENTALMEN!" the announcer who was the store owner said. "This year's store champion is Zack Hikari and his Albaz Deck! Give it up for the champion and our runner up!"
Everyone applauded for the two duelists.
"That was a great match dude." Zack smiled, offering his opponent a handshake.
"Thanks man, you too." F.D. smiled back as he accepted the gesture.
Afterwards, Zack was standing on a small stage beside the owner, who had a card in his hands.
"And now the prize of the tournament. The rare Xyz monster card, Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder!"
They all 'ohhh' and 'awww' at the sight of the card. Zack simply smiled at it.
'Welcome to the group pal.' Zack thought.
Zack was now walking out of the store with his backpack on alongside someone and the two were having a conversation.
"See! Did I or did I not tell you this tournament would be worth it!" ? asked.
"Okay Mark, I admit it!" Zack laughs. "To get a card like this was TOTALLY worth joining in for."
"Right? Right!" Mark said. "Plus, it was also fun, right? The thrill of facing against another strong duelist? Be honest now!"
"Maybe a little bit." Zack admitted.
"A little bit?" Mark parrots. "Come on dude. You're a great duelist that could go far if he wanted to! You just got to get out there more."
"And let the wolves of society rip me apart?" Zack asked. "No thank you. You can have fun with that though."
The 'wolves' is what Zack calls greedy agencies that only care about money and not the people themselves.
"You've seen how many and how fast those scum bags drop a pro duelist if they lose a few times or god forbid even once!" Zack ranted to his friend.
"Okay yeah, that's fair." Mark admitted. "But they're not all like that though."
"And just as rare as my new card." Zack countered, holding up said rare card.
Mark had nothing to say after that, so instead decided to change topics.
"Never seen a Rank 12 Xyz monster in person before." Mark said looking at the card.
"To be fair, there aren't a lot of them to begin with." Zack shrugged. "Plus, most need a certain monster type to bring them out. Except ZEUS here."
Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder
Rank: ************
Atk/Def:3000/3000
2 Level 12 monsters
Once per turn, if an Xyz Monster battled this turn, you can Xyz Summon "Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder" by using 1 Xyz Monster you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) (Quick Effect): You can detach 2 materials from this card; send all other cards from the field to the GY. Once per turn, if another card(s) you control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect: You can attach 1 card from your hand, Deck, or Extra Deck to this card as material.
"Geez, talk about powerful." Mark whistled. "You gonna use it?"
"You crazy? Of course I am." Zack said as he put the card in his Extra Deck. "Who in their right mind wouldn't use it?"
"People who don't use Xyz monsters or don't have easy access to level 12 monsters?" Mark smirked.
"Okay 'Captain Cheeky', that's enough outta you." Zack said rolling his eyes.
Above the two friends floated three balls of light.
"There that one." Light #1 said.
"Which one? There's two of them!" Light #3 snapped.
"I believe he means the one that won the duel tournament from earlier." Light #2 said.
"Oh… that makes sense." Light #3 said.
"That being said, are you sure he's the right choice?" Light #2 asked.
"I am." Light #1 said. "I can just feel it."
"It better be. This is the 30th person we checked." Light #3 grunted.
"By the way Zack." Mark said getting Zack's attention. "Did you read the final manga of Arc-V?"
"I did. But what the hell is up with that ending?!" Zack said. "Yuzu turned out to be Yuya's and the other's mom?! Like, da fuck?! With the anime, sure it wasn't the best send off and I had mixed feelings about it at first, but now after seeing that shit? Leagues better!"
"I hear that." Mark agreed. "Time travel is a weird thing to explain, let alone use. Makes you think what they were smoking at the time."
"And he knows what's going to happen in the future." Light #1 said. "The perfect partner."
"Alright, we shall wait for them to go separate ways before making our move." Light #2 said.
"Understood teacher." Light #3 said.
After a bit more walking, the two arrived at a crosswalk.
"This is my stop man." Zack said.
"K. Talk to you later dude." Mark said.
The two fist bump and head separate ways, all the while the three lights follow Zack.
"He's alone! Do we go now?" Light #3 asked.
"Not yet. Let's wait until there is a little more privacy first." Light #2 said.
"Hey, he's turning down an alleyway!" Light #1 pointed out.
True enough, Zack had gone down an alley, a shortcut to his home.
"This might be our only chance." Light #2 said. "Hurry!"
"Right!" Light #3 said.
The three lights soared at Zack and zoomed past his head making him jump.
"What the?!" Zack asked surprised as he saw the 3 lights in front of him. They quickly surrounded him so he wouldn't escape. Zack, not knowing what else to do, simply looked at them.
"Um… hi…?" Zack greeted nervously to the lights.
"Hi!" Light #3 greeted back cheerfully.
"You know he can't hear us, right?" Light #1 asked.
"Oh right." Light #3 said.
"Focus you two." Light #2 ordered.
The three began to circle Zack and create a ring.
"Okay if anime ever taught me anything, this is either good or bad." Zack said.
The ring then closes on Zack and creates a bright light, causing him to shut his eye's.
"AHHH!" Zack screams.
When he doesn't feel any pain, Zack slowly opens his eyes.
"What… in the… world?" the boy asks as he looks up at what can only be seen as stars.
"Pretty cool, right?" a voice said.
"Jesus!" Zack cried as he turned around to see one of the lights that brought him here.
"Ah sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" Light #1 said.
"Uh… it's okay… I guess." Zack said. "Are you… some kind of alien?"
"Nope. I'm a- well I WAS a human, but now I'm a spirit." Light #1 said.
"Oh, sorry man. Or girl?" Zack said.
"I'm a guy and thanks." Light #1 said.
"So, do you have a human form or are you stuck like that." Zack asked.
"Oh, I have my human form." Light #1 said. "I'm just not sure how you'd react when you see it."
"Dude, I'm sure you're not that ugly." Zack said.
"It has nothing to do with that!" Light #1 snapped.
"Okay, okay chill." Zack said with his hands up.
"The real reason is because you know me, sorta." Light #1 said.
"I do?" Zack asked with a head tilt.
"Yes, you do." Light #2 said.
Zack looks to his left to see the other lights right before the glow and change shape back into Mahad and Mana. Seeing them causes Zack's eyes to widen.
"No…way… You're Mahad and Mana!" Zack exclaimed. "Aka, the Dark/Black Magician and Dark/Black Magician Girl!"
"Yup, that's us! Nice to meet you!" Mana waved.
"But how are you here?!" Zack asked. "You're only characters in a card game, anime and manga!"
"Yes, in your world at least." Mahad answered. "I believe you are familiar with the 'Multiverse theory', correct?"
"Multiverse theory? Wait, so that means you're real, just in a different universe?" Zack clarified.
"Correct." Mahad nodded.
"Then did you use your Spirit powers to get here?" Zack asked.
"Wow! Smart and quick to figure it out!" Mana complemented while clapping her hands. "You picked a good partner buddy."
"Partner?" Zack asked while looking back at Light #1.
"Before our friend reveals himself, I ask you to keep calm Zack and allow us to explain." Mahad requested.
"O-kay?" Zack agreed with a raised eyebrow.
"Come on. Don't be scared now." Mana urged the Light.
With a sigh, the light began to retake his original form and became Zarc. Upon seeing him, Zack got in a defensive position.
"ZARC?!" Zack yelled in shock.
"Wait! Wait! Wait! I'm not the Zarc you know!" Zarc held his hands in front of him.
"Be at peace Zack, he speaks the truth." Mahad said.
"Oh yeah?! How?" asked the human.
"Do you remember Marik Ishtar?" Mahad asked.
"Yeah. He was the main antagonist during the Battle City Arc, until they had that whole Cyber World adventure." Zack said.
"Yes, and do you know what happened to him to make him that way?" Mahad asked.
"Because of the whole pressure of his family's responsibilities that was put on him at such a young age caused his darkness to become stronger and take over him." Zack explained.
"That is correct." Mahad said before gesturing to Zarc. "And I'm afraid the same thing has happened again."
"…Magician say what?" Zack asked.
"He means that Zarc's darkness, who we call Z-Arc, took over the real Zarc and did all those evil things you saw in the Arc-V universe." Mana said.
Zack blinked at them before addressing Zarc himself.
"You really didn't go evil?" Zack asked while lowering his hands.
"No, I didn't. I didn't want any of that to happen." Zarc said and look down. "After the accident, I heard a voice saying that a good Duelist gives the people what they want and stupidly listened to it. I kept going until it took over my body. you probably now what happened next right?"
"Yeah, Ray or Rei depending on the version you're watching and her dad Leo or Reo, again the version, traveled the world gathering nature energy to make the Nature Energy Cards to use on you, or rather your darkness." Zack explained.
"They did, also their names are Ray and Leo." Zarc said getting a nod from Zack. "But what you didn't see was that before they activated Z-Arc tried stopping her, but I intervened by using what little control I had left, thus giving her the time she needed to use the cards."
"Whoa, but wait what happened to you?" Zack asked. "The cards were supposed to target the evil. If your still light, then where did you end up?"
"In the void that was left of the Original dimension." Zarc shrugged.
"…What?" Zack asked, completely baffled.
"Which is where the two of us came in." Mana jumped in.
"We foresaw what would happen in the future, so we decided to act and found Zarc." Mahad explained. "We showed him what would happen in the future."
"I still can't believe what Leo does." Zarc said sadly. "Especially with how he views Ray's counterparts."
"Sometimes the smart ones are the dumbest people alive." Zack shrugs. "But all this doesn't explain why you're here.
"As you know, the actions of Leo Akaba allow Z-Arc to revive himself only Zarc won't be there to hold him back this time." Mahad said.
"Not like he could do anything anyways since he's a spirit now too." Mana added.
"Yes, thank you so much for that reminder, Mana." Zarc deadpanned at her.
"That is why we have been searching for a host for Zarc. Someone to help him stop his evil once and for all." Mahad finished.
"And before you ask. No, I'm not taking over your body, you'd still be in control." Zarc quickly said. "Just think of my as a house guest."
"Oh, well I was a little worried there about the whole host thing." Zack said, relieved. "So, is this going to be like Yugi and Atem or Judai and Yubel thing?"
"It will be like Judai and Yubel." Mahad answered. "You will gain Zarc's dueling skills to add onto your own as well as any other skills he has."
Zack turns to look at his soon to be new partner.
"Do you have good computer skills like hacking and programing?"
"Y-eah? Why?" Zarc asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I'll get back to you on that." Zack said before turning to the Duel Spirits. "Are you dropping us off at the start of cannon or before?"
"It can be anywhere before Leo enters the Fusion Dimension to then." Mahad answered.
"Why do you want to know?" Mana asked.
"I'll get back to you own that." Zack said again as he took some paper and a pen from his backpack. "Here's a better question; why me?"
"Well, you match up to pretty much everything we need for this." Zarc answered. "Great dueling skills, nice and kind hearted guy and as mush as it hurts to say when you say me, you didn't hesitate to pick a fight which shows bravery."
"And a girl couldn't have these qualities?" Zack asked as he looked up from the paper he was writing on.
"Bathroom." Zarc simply responded.
"Touché." Zack nodded while going back to writing.
"We know this is a lot to process, so we will- "I'm in." -give you time to… excuse me?" Mahad started speaking until Zack cut in.
"I said I'm in." Zack repeated.
The three spirits stared at him, blinked a couple of times.
"Just like that?!" Zarc shouted.
"B-B-But don't you have people here?!" Mana exclaimed. "How would they react if you just vanished all of a sudden?!"
"I'm guessing you only just recently started watching me, right?" Zack asked. "Well, my parents have been gone for a while now. I was an only child and don't have any other family members. My friend Mark is the only friend I have, but if I leave him this note (holds up paper he was writing on) he'll understand."
"I see." Mahad said. 'Other then his friend, who trusts him, he doesn't have anything left in this world.'
"What was with the questions then?" Mana asked.
"Can't come up with a plan if I don't have all the information, right?" Zack shrugged.
"You already have a plan?" Zarc asked in surprise.
"Yup!" Zack said.
"Do tell." Mahad requested.
"Okay." Zack said as he clapped his hands. "First: We go back as far as we can and meet with Celina or Serena whichever her name is, become her friend and gain her trust. Second: Create new Duel Disks for us and the three girls at some point cause there's no shot Leo doesn't do something to the ones in that dimension when he takes over. Third: Hack into Leo's machines to gain evidence about his plans so we don't look bat shit crazy, spy on the Doctors parasite research and plant a backdoor program to gain control of the system when we need to escape to the Standard Dimension. Fourth: As much as it suck's, wait until Lulu/Ruri and Rin get captured by Yuri then bust them out before that fucking psycho Doctor puts his parasites in their brains. Fifth and lastly: Use the backdoor program to take control of the dimension teleportation and GTFO outta there!"
The three spirits look at Zack in awe at his plan.
"That… is a very good plan." Mahad complimented.
"Please tell me your tech skill are that good." Mana said to Zarc.
"I hope so." Zarc answered. "Ray did drill everything she knew about programing into my skull saying it would come in handy someday. *chuckles* Guess she was right afterall."
"Since I'm not hearing a no about my plan you agree to it?" Zack asked, to which everyone nodded. "Cool, so Mana can I ask you a favour and have you take my note for Mark and my house keys to put them in my house?"
"Sure, no problem!" the female spirit said as she took the note and keys then disappeared.
Zack takes out his cellphone and dials Mark's number. After a couple of rings, he picks up.
"Yo." Mark greeted.
"Hey man." Zack said.
"Zack dude, what's up?" Mark responded. "It hasn't been that long since we parted ways."
"I know, just wondering if you could swing by my place later?" Zack said.
"Sure man, no problem." Mark said. "Is something the matter?"
"Naw bro, everything is fine." Zack reassured him.
"Well okay then." Mark said. "See you then."
"Yeah, see you." Zack said with a sad smile. "Hey Mark?"
"Yeah man?" Mark asks.
"Thanks for always being there for me." Zack said. "I know I never say it enough, but thanks."
"Come on dude." Mark said. "There's no need to get mussy on me, you know I'll ALWAYS have your back.
"I do bro, I do." Zack said.
Zack hits end just as Mana reappears.
"Okay now with that done, what's next?" Zack asked.
"Now we choose what point in time to place you in, then create a link between you and Zarc." Mahad said.
"And we're going to do that how?" Zarc asked since Mahad never explained it before.
"Essentially in a similar fashion to reincarnation." Mahad explained. "Have you figured out what time point you wish to start at Zack?"
"Well, if we're basically getting reincarnated which also means I'll be de-aged to be the same age as them… I think it should be when the counterparts are age 4." Zack said.
"How come?" Mana asked.
"Declan/Reiji first came to the Fusion Dimension 3 years before cannon started, using that logic it means that Leo left Standard a year before. (I'm spit-balling here because I couldn't find the exact timeframe Leo left on his insane quest) At the start of cannon the counterparts are 14 and by doing the math (14-4-4), that gives me 6 full years to build a connection with her and, however slightly it may be, change Yuri for the better." Zack explained.
Once again, the three spirits were in awe at the young man's planning.
"No wonder you're such a great duelist." Zarc complimented.
"Thanks." Zack said, rubbing the back of his head. "So, this reincarnation? Will there be any changes?"
"Yes, since Zarc will become a part of you, your face will become his. Just like his counterparts." Mahad explained.
"Is there any way we can 'customize' them and add things?" Zack asked.
"Why? Don't want to look like me?" Zarc asked.
"Leo would already know Yuri is your Fusion piece when he sees him, then as an excuse to keep watch on him, trains him. If he sees my soon-to-be new face, he'll get suspicious and keep a close eye on us too." Zack explains. "If we can change the hair color and add a mask to my new body, we might be able to slip right under his nose."
"Hmm… that is a good point." Mahad agreed. "What do you have in mind?"
"Welll…" Zack humed as he looked at Zarc. "I do like the hair, if we remove the bangs and sideburns then that would be a big help."
"Yeah, I can see that working." Mana agreed.
"But I like my bangs…" Zarc whines as tears comedically ran down his face.
"We're not changing you; we're making my new body based off yours!" Zack snapped.
"Oh right!" Zarc said, feelings doing a 180.
"Oh! What about Brown hair with silver tips and silver eyes?" Mana offered her opinion.
Zack framed his fingers together and looked at Zarc through them, picturing himself at what his new body would look like.
"I think that would look good." Zack said.
"If you have a good image of what you want, we can begin." Mahad said.
"Also, can you try to get us as close to Ray's fusion counterpart as possible without drawing attention." Zack requested. "The faster we find her, the faster we gain her trust."
Mahad nods as Zarc stands beside Zack. Mahad and Mana stands in front of them as they lift their respective items and focus their magic. Once they feel their magic at a certain point, they unleash it at the two duelists, engulfing them in a bright light.
"Good luck you two." Mahad's voice is heard.
"The fate of the four dimensions is in your hands!" Mana's voice said.
When the light dies down Zack opens his eyes to see unfamiliar buildings in an ally.
"Whoa… I guess it work." a high-pitched voice said. "Huh? Wait is that my voice?"
Zack places a hand on his throat. He also notices his cloths are different too.
He is wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts with red running shoes on his feet.
"Well, it's not surprising considering you are 4 years old now." the voice of Zarc spoke up as he appeared at Zacks side.
"WHA!" the now a kid cried out in surprise. "Don't do that Zarc!"
"*Laughing* Gomen, gomen." Zarc apologized. "Just couldn't help myself."
"Jerk." Zack pouted.
"By the way, like the mask." Zarc complimented.
"Mask?" Zack asked. He touched his face and really did feel something there. "I am wearing a mask!"
"Didn't you notice?" asked the spirit.
"Not at all." Zack said as he took it off to get a better look at it. (Masquerade mask from Bakugan Battle Brawlers) "The lens must be like a one-way mirror. I can see out it like its nothing but can't see past it. There isn't even a reflection."
"They must have made it so your opponent can't see your cards when you're dueling them." Zarc suggested.
"That's helpful." Zack said as he put it back on.
"So, which way do we head?" Zarc asked.
Before he could answer, they heard cheers to their left.
"Looks like that way." Zack said as he started walking with Zarc floating beside him.
"It's better then nothing I guess." Zarc said. "By the way, now that we're connected, we can also talk to me in you mind."
"Good to know, thanks." Zack said.
As the two exit the ally, they are greeted to a duel that is just starting.
"Hope your ready to lose!" Random Duelist 1(R.D.) yelled.
"Bring it on!" R.D.2 yelled back.
"It seems like a duel is taking place." Zarc observed.
"Thanks captain obvious." Zack whispered. "As much as I want to watch this, we need to find someone, remember?"
Just before they turned to leave, a voice called out making them look at the shouter.
"Show him who's boss!" a girl shouted.
Looking at who it was had allowed them to see it was the very same girl they were in search of.
"…Found her." Zarc pointed out.
"Well, that was easy." Zack said.
"You did ask them to send us as close to her as possible." Zarc reminded.
Zack waited for the duel to get close to the end. When he noticed something, he walked up and stood beside her, but she was too caught up in the duel to notice him.
"Who do you think is gonna win?" Zack asked the girl to get her attention.
She looked at Zack in surprise since she didn't realize he was there.
"Isn't it obvious?" she stated while pointing at R.D.1 who had just played Polymerization.
"I fuse my Frenzied Panda with my Ryu-Kisin to Fusion Summon level 5: Barox!" R.D.1 announced.
Barox
Star: *****
Atk/Def: 1380/1580
Frenzied Panda + Ryu-Kisin
"Now Barox! Attack!" R.D.1 ordered.
The monster did as told and went to attack.
"See? Told you." the girl said with a smirk on her face.
"I wouldn't be so sure." Zack simply said as he watched the field and R.D.2. "The other guy has a plan, which he's about play."
This caused her to look at him in confusion, but before she could ask him, R.D.2 activated a card that caused her quickly look back at the field in surprise.
"I activate the Trap Card Necro Fusion!" R.D.2 announced as the card revealed itself.
Necro Fusion
Trap: Normal
Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, by banishing Fusion Materials listed on it from your GY face-down, but it cannot attack this turn.
"I banish 2 Thunder Dragon's in my GY to Fusion Summon level 7: Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon!" R.D.2 yelled.
Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon
Star: *******
Atk/Def: 2800/2100
Thunder Dragon + Thunder Dragon
"Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon! Counterattack!" R.D.2 ordered.
"No!" R.D.1 yelled.
R.D.1 LP: 1300 - 0
Winner: R.D.2
"See? Told you." Zack mimicked the girl as he looked at her, finding her facial expression funny.
"Ray makes that same face when she's shocked too." Zarc chuckled.
Said girl was still looking at the field in shock at what just happened. She then looked at the boy and asked one simple question.
"How?" she asked.
"Hm?" the boy responded before asking a question of his own. "How what?"
"I mean how did you know he was going to win?" she explained.
"I saw the look on his face." Zack answered.
"His face?" she asked.
"Even though his opponent fusion summoned, his face didn't change." Zack explained. "In a duel you shouldn't just pay attention to the field, but also your opponent as well."
"Oh, so you're a dueling pro huh?" she asked with a smirk and crossing her arms over her chest.
'In one life yeah.' Zack thought before saying "I like to think I'm pretty good." his face and body mirroring hers.
The two keep staring at each other, until the girl holds out her hand to Zack.
"The names Serena, nice to meet you." Serena greeted.
"Zack Hikari and likewise Serena." Zack said as he shook Serena's hand. 'Okay, so the 'main characters' might be using the Japanese rendition names in this universe.'
"Hey, where I live isn't that far off. Want to come and play?" Serena asked.
"Sure, lead the way." I responded.
As we walked away, Zarc asked me a question.
"I almost forgot. What was in that letter you wrote for your friend before we left?" Zarc asked.
(Oh that… Well…) Zack began to tell him what he wrote.
(Zack's World)
Mark arrived at Zack's house and knocked on the door, but Zack didn't answer.
"Zack buddy, you here?" Mark asked.
Mark used the spare key Zack gave him and unlocked the door.
"Zack?" Mark asked cautiously as he made his way inside the house.
Looking around the place, Mark saw a note on the table. He picked it up and opened it to see it was a note addressed to him from Zack.
Dear Mark, I hope you're the one reading this letter and not someone that broke in. You're probably wondering where I am. Don't worry, I'm fine. You're not gonna believe it but after we parted ways, the literal Duel Spirits of Dark/Black Magician and Dark/Black Magician Girl in the form of Mahad and Mana appeared in front of me! Not only them, but the spirit of Zarc himself. I know what your thinking, but this Zarc was a good guy, he went through the whole 'Evil Marik' thing. They asked me for help in saving Ray's counterparts and stopping Z-Arc aka Evil Zarc. Which means yes, I'm getting freaking Isekai'd like in anime. Best part is that it's a Yu-Gi-Oh universe and I'll be able to become a pro Duelist! Sure, there's the whole dimension war, but you know me, I already have a plan on what to do. That being to go back 10 years before cannon starts and luckily Zarc knows about programing thanks to Ray. The reason I called was to get you over to read this note and to hear the voice of my brother one final time before I left. If I wasn't able to say it before; Thanks for everything man and for being there for me. My house is now in your care. You can do anything or turn it into anything you want. From your brother, Zack.
As Mark finished reading the note, his eye watered. He quickly dried them and smiled.
"You lucky son of a bitch." Mark said with a grin. "This is like a dream come true for any Otaku fan."
He looked over to a picture of himself and Zack with their arms over each others' shoulders.
"Good luck man." Mark wished his brother in everything but blood before bursting out laughing. "And knowing him, he's gonna try to get all of Ray's pieces to fall for him."
