Loungetown
She was silently crouching on top of the building and watching the busy city streets on the market. She had been waiting here all morning, and as the sun rose higher and higher she could feel the heat slowly building up under her hood. A small sigh left her lips as she enrolled the paper again. In her hand was a "Wanted" poster of a grumpy looking man with slightly curly hair and a goatee. "Dead or alive - Pablo Mably" was written there, with a small bounty of 5.000 Beli. "At least I can get paid double…" she mumbled. She would just need to give the head to the Marine as her employer doesn't need the head as proof that the man was dead. They had another system. A loud cry let her lift her head. "You're back! Have you spotted him?" The falcon landed on the leather bracelet that encircled her entire forearm. He shook himself and made softer sounds this time, lowering his head as if to apologize. She chuckled softly "No worries my dear Zaki. I'm sure he will appear soon, and after this job is done, we will go back to Grand Line! This East Blue is not so adventurous… But what shall we do? I was the only one available and nearest to Loungetown." She said to the falcon as she took out a small bottle and bowl from her hip pocket and poured some water for the bird of prey. "Just relax. I will keep an eye open."
It was half an hour later, when she almost got worried that the information she got would turn out to be incorrect, when she saw the man. He was wearing a coat, well… it looked more like a rag that he had just taken from somewhere. Her eyes followed the man, while he was hurrying through the small alleys of the market, his eyes running wild and always looking behind him. So he knew that he might be chased. Doesn't matter, she will still do the job properly without anybody noticing. "So Zaki, then let's do this!" her falcon had been sitting on her shoulder and relaxing from observing the market the whole morning. Now he flew up again, followed the extrapolated path of the man and sat down on the chimney of the next house giving her a glare. "Yeah okay, I'll do this on my own…" she responded grumpily. The man was now running from the market to the next streets, while she trailed him on the roofs, always half crouching, so he might not see her if he would look up to the roofs. The streets got less and less crowded, she realized with a smile. At some point he stopped after turning into a dark alley heavily panting. He leaned against the cold wall behind him, as he realized a shadow just right above him. He looked up just so see a figure with a gray hood and loose black pants jump right at him and he could see the dagger that was hidden before coming out of her leather bracelet. He could not react. The assassin looked down on the now dead man under her and double checked again with the bounty poster. "Yep, thank god." She smiled, got up from the man's chest and pulled out the short sword that was attached right underneath her hip bag. With a quick twist of her wrist she removed the head. After that she pulled out a feather from the bag, kneeled down and laid it into the puddle of blood that was forming in front of the torso and covered the feather with it. Still kneeling she murmured some words and the feather disappeared with a soft glow. The small assassin stayed a while kneeling next to the body, as she could suddenly hear the falcon approaching and landing on her shoulder. "Uff…" she grunted. "That was a harsh landing." Nevertheless, she chuckled and stood up, grabbed the head and wrapped it into the coat of the man. "Hope you don't mind if I borrow that?" and with that she left for the Marine quarters to deliver the head and get at least some Beli, her employer would wait until she arrives home to give her the reward.
