Anna and Kristoff sat next to each other on the bench at the edge of the market square.
"Kristoff," Anna said.
He looked over.
"You never did tell me why you just disappeared."
"I needed to make my own way in the world," he said.
"But you could have written. There was nothing stopping you."
"I figured you'd go get married to some prince. There wasn't anything I could do."
"I suppose I almost did. You were right about him."
"Don't give me too much credit. Love makes people jealous. I mean, um…"
"Wait, you love me?"
"I always have."
