Asamad finally regained consciousness after a while, slightly growling upon realizing that he was once again chained to the chair in front of the fireplace. Though, he stopped when he remembered he shouldn't get anymore angry, wanting to prevent a repeat of what had just happened a few hours ago.

He looked up to see Daphne standing in front of him, as she crossed her arms.

"You had a long nap," she commented.

"So, you really did it? You knocked me out," he said, raising one of Vincent's eyebrows.

"Yeah, I did," she replied, crossing her arms.

"I am somewhat impressed," he admitted.

Daphne had a confused look on her face now.

"Really?" she asked.

"I had not expected any mortal to be able to do that," he told her. "Or at least not as easily as you did." He then nodded. "Though, you are Vincent's daughter, so that's why I am not as impressed as I would be if you weren't."

She smiled at that.

"And proud of it," she added.

The redhead then stared quietly at the fireplace behind him for a moment.

"If you're thinking of apologizing for getting angry at us, don't. If you're wondering if there was anyone hurt or if there was any damage caused by you, there wasn't."

"Good. You should know, being in chains reminds me too much of being trapped in the Chest Of Demons. That's the reason why my anger grew," he confessed.

Daphne took a seat on the couch near where he was sitting.

"I had a feeling it was," she admitted. "It makes sense, being trapped is one of the things you hate the most."

He nodded in confirmation.

"Well, the good news is that you won't have these on you anymore," she smiled, getting up to remove the chains.

"Are you serious!?" he blurted out in surprise. "You're actually freeing me now?"

"Of course. We're casting the spell soon, so we don't need the chains," she told him, tossing them aside.

"Thank you," he smiled back.

Asamad sat there for a moment in silence, before finally speaking again.

"Possessing people was something I had never done before recently," he confessed. "It was always Rankor's specialty, while mine was just manipulating people to do and say whatever I wanted them to."

"That's why you don't know as much about demonic possession, despite being a demon for many years, right?" Daphne guessed.

"Yes," he replied. "Experience with it usually gives us a fair amount of knowledge on it. I've also never found enough time to research it myself with other things going on."

"Well, I'm sure you will after this," she commented.

A small laugh came out of him.

"Indeed," he agreed. "Well, at least Vincent was able to speak with us again, even if it was just for a moment. He sounded alright, though a bit terrified."

"What about his heartbeat? How does it feel now?"

"Somewhat slow still, however, now it feels more normal than it did earlier," the ghost then paused. "A sign that he's closer than we think, perhaps?"

"I'm sure it is," she said.

The others made their way into the study room now, with Shaggy holding the two crystal balls in his hands.

"Is he, like, awake yet?" the young man asked.

"Yes, and he's calmer now," Daphne assured him. She then turned back to Asamad. "It's time."

He nodded and stood up, before everyone then gathered together in a circle.

"Shaggy Rogers, Velma Dinkley, Scooby Doo, Daphne Blake, Flim Flam, Cheryl Gonzalez, and Jayden Loiacono. Are you prepared to cast this spell and save the life of my descendant, Vincent Van Ghoul?"

Velma smiled at Daphne and Shaggy, as Cheryl and Jayden exchanged a look, right before Scooby and Flim Flam glanced at each other.

"Yes," they all responded simultaneously.

"So am I," he confirmed. "Let's bring him home."

One by one, they all quickly left the study room, with what they were about to do only on their minds.

Vincent and the ghostly women now found themselves somewhere in a land filled with trees and snow, with Vincent's soul no longer feeling tight or tied up. Instead, the conversations he made with both of them made him feel safe in the midst of all this.

"Your life seems to be very eventful from all that you have told me," Ophelia said. "You really are over 2,000 years old?"

"I am," he confirmed. "Eventful is one way to describe my life so far, and yours as well."

"Yes, and we have some similarities I hadn't noticed before, like locking ourselves away completely alone in our castles after losing someone we loved for many years," she pointed out.

"Indeed," the warlock acknowledged. "It is frightening, though, also interesting."

"Oh, like the rest of our family history," Valentina commented.

The other two couldn't help but let out a small laugh at that.

"Living for 2,000 years is an experience not many get to have," Vincent began, getting back to what Ophelia said before. "Though, it has been worth it. However, not always in the ways that mortals would think."

He then stopped in his tracks as he felt that he was getting closer to his body.

He managed to brush it off for a moment as Valentina started talking again, though he couldn't ignore it once it sank in. His body was nearby.

His sister stopped speaking and turned to him, realizing there was something going on.

"What happened?" she asked.

"I feel that my body is nearby," he informed her.

"You do!?" the women replied, looking at him and then each other.

"Yes, I just began to feel it now. That means we must be in the Himalayas! Castle Van Ghoul should be straight ahead once we are past these trees," he realized.

"Do you feel anything else? Perhaps, the cold that surrounds us?" Ophelia wondered.

"Now that you have mentioned it, I do," Vincent confirmed. "Though, not as much as I would if I were in my body. I must slowly be coming back to life…"

Notes: Cheryl and Jayden's last names have been revealed! I did already reveal them in some Tumblr posts a few months ago, but they've never been mentioned in my series until now!
