Season 2: Episode 16

It was the following day and Emily had come downstairs, she stopped in her tracks and swallowed nervously, she saw the bags by the front door and knew right away what it meant. She entered the living room and sure enough, Wayne stood there, a serious expression on his face.

"You're leaving?" Emily asked warily.

Wayne turned to his daughter and nodded. "I'm being deployed, the call came in early this morning."

Emily bit her lip. "Dad, I…"

"I know Emily, I know." Wayne said. "I feel the same, we all do but we know it happens."

Emily nodded and then Pam joined them and they all shared a family hug, Finally, despite their strong emotions and wishes to the contrary, the Fields ladies stood and watched as Wayne left in his car. With a shaky breath, Emily headed back inside once Wayne's car was out of sight, Pam followed her inside.

"Emily…"

She sighed and sat down. "I just...I always hate it when dad leaves, mom."

Pam sat down next to her. "I know, I hate it too."

They sat together, holding each other and drawing strength from each other. Pam was worried about something else however, the issue that had arisen the previous night.

"Emily I...this doesn't seem like the right time, but I need to ask." Pam said hesitantly. "What's happened between you and Maya?"

Emily took a sharp breath and tensed.

Finally however she straightened up and faced her mother.

"It's...to put it simply, we're no longer together...because she cheated on me." Emily explained. "With some skeevy drug dealer."

"What?" Pam gasped, shocked.

Emily nodded. "I was pretty freaked out too...Mona, you know how she was behind a lot of the crazy stuff that happened recently. She somehow got her hands on pictures and a video showing Maya with that guy, kissing and all that…"

Pam looked shocked and outraged. "That's...my God, no wonder you were so angry, you…"

"Mom, please, I...I don't want to talk about it. I'd rather just leave the whole thing alone." Emily explained firmly. "I'm done with her, I can't ever forgive her for this."

Pam bit her lip and watched Emily sadly as she headed upstairs. She couldn't deny Emily had every right to be angry at Maya and was completely on Emily's side in this regard, but she was still worried about her daughter and hoped things would calm down soon.

Caleb sighed and rubbed his eyes tiredly, he'd been up practically all night trying to find anything that would help him figure out who was behind all the photos of Hannah which were still being spread.

'It's leaving Hanna even more devastated, doesn't the person behind this realize the effect they're having, or is this what they want?' He thought angrily. 'They're trying to get her killed, I've seen this sort of thing before, it's all laughs as if the girl's suffering is funny, until she kills herself.'

He shook his head, he couldn't let that happen again, just like it had at his last school. But then, suddenly, he saw something and quickly checked his computer again.

'No way, that can't be, have we just…?' He wondered.

He checked it again and gasped before quickly reacting, getting everything he needed in order to prepare to reveal the truth, he had done it without even realising.

He had uncovered the one who was responsible. 'But for it to be him, no way, no way in hell.'

He was still shocked and horrified by what he had uncovered but he knew he had to expose the truth, for Hanna's sake.

Tony was still smiling as he walked down the street, he was still remembering his amazing date with Spencer.

'Everything was wonderful, she was happy and well, that was enough to make me happy. I know she doesn't exactly have it easy at home so, I just hope I was able to help her feel at ease somewhat.' He reflected happily.

He was suddenly forced to stop when he was blocked, someone standing in front of his path. He narrowed his eyes when he saw it was Toby.

"What do you want?" He asked, irked at being interrupted.

"Heard about you taking Spencer out last night." He remarked with a dry smirk.

Tony narrowed his eyes. "What does that matter to you, it's none of your business."

"It is when you get in my way." Toby remarked. "I don't appreciate you acting like Spencer is yours, I-"

"Do you hear yourself, I do not act like that, Spencer is free to choose who she wants and she has chosen me." Tony snapped.

Toby scoffed. "Yeah, sure, whatever you need to cover your real actions. If you know what's good for you, you'll back off from my girl."

"Spencer isn't yours, got it." Tony remarked. "Just try and act like that, see what it gets you."

"I'm not warning you again-"

"You never warned me, you just acted as if I had to do what you said. Just try threatening me and continue to act this way, I'm sure you'll enjoy the police attention that'll get you." Tony said firmly.

With that he stepped around Toby and walked on, leaving Toby fuming.

"Wow, you just love drama, don't you."

Toby turned to glare at Jenna who sat on the porch nearby, smirking, still holding her cane even as she sat. Toby grumbled and stormed past her and into the house while Jenna just shrugged, amused.
