"Major Carter." General Hammond said.

"Checking the internet for information, yes sir." She replied. Just as an alarm was heard.

Colonel O'Neill grabbed a radio and requested information.

"Major Ferretti is reporting that Lt. Calloway has been exposed to a massive dose of radiation, sir." Sargent Harriman reported.

Dr. Frazer headed for the door of the observation room.

"Sir." Major Carter said. "We currently have no way of curing a major radiation poisoning. The Tok'ra may be able to use the hand device to help Lt. Calloway."

"If we can get ahold of them." Colonel O'Neill said. "Dad may be reliable, but the rest aren't."

Xander said something from the observation room. Daniel translated.

"He says he can help."

"Sir, he may have knowledge from the download on treating radiation poisoning." Major Carter said.

General Hammond made a split second decision. The welfare of his people came first.

"Colonel O'Neill, take Mr. Harris to the infirmary. Major Carter, find out what you can about this Sunnydale, California."

"Yes, sir."

"Yes, sir."

Colonel O'Neill escorted Xander and Cordelia, who refused to be separated, to the infirmary. Dr. Frazer was attempting to assess Lt. Calloway.

"Doc, the kid here, says he has a way of helping."

"If he can do something, Colonel, I welcome it. The dose of radiation that Lt. Calloway was exposed to, is lethal."

Xander moved up to the bed and held his hands out over Lt. Calloway. Before anyone could ask what he was doing, light shown from his hands. The Geiger counter being used to detect the radiation stopped signaling.

"Sir, somehow he neutralized the radiation." Dr. Frazer said.

"He ever done anything like that before?" Colonel O'Neill asked.

"No." Cordelia answered. "This is definitely new."

Xander said something and Daniel translated.

"He says he pulled the radiation out of his tissues. The knowledge showed him how. He also says, he doesn't have alot of time. It's overwhelming him and will kill him within a matter of hours."

General Hammond sucked in a breath.

"Sir, he's already lasted more then two weeks longer then I did, God knows why. Any longer and his brain may melt."

Xander said something else and Daniel stifled a laugh.

"Something funny. Danny? Share with the class."

"He said youth and vigor, beats age and treachery. Basically, he lasted longer because he's younger."

"He's probably right, sir." Dr. Frazer said, also trying not to laugh. "Younger minds are more elastic."

"The Nox blocked their Stargate. We have no way getting you to them." General Hammond said. "We can contact the Asguard and ask them for help."

Xander spoke and Daniel translated.

"The Asguard can't help, because of the Mageca, whatever that is, but he can speak Noxan now. He can ask for help via the Stargate in their language. He's certain they won't turn him away.

"it's worth a try, sir." Colonel O'Neill said.

"Very well. Let's go."

Once in the control room, General Hammond ordered the Nox homeworld dialed. The Stargate opened and both Xander and Cordelia stared at it in awe. Then Xander spoke in a language Daniel couldn't translate. A moment later, a voice came from the Stargate.

"You may come thru, Alexander Harris, but only you."

Xander looked at General Hammond for permission.

"Go ahead, son."

"Xander." Cordelia said, determinedly. "You come back to me, you hear me!"

He touched her face and murmured something in Ancient. Daniel translated.

"Beautiful, snarky perfection. I will come back. I love you." The others glanced away, giving the young couple some semblance of privacy. Xander kissed Cordelia and then headed down to the Stargate. He didn't hesitate, he walked straight into it and it shut down behind him.

"He can come back, right?" Cordelia asked, keeping a tight control on her emotions.

"The Nox aren't a people who would hold someone against their will. They'll do what they can and let him go." General Hammond assured her.

Major Carter appeared a few minutes later and asked to see the General and SG 1 in General Hammond's office.

"Sunnydale has some of the worst crime statistics I've ever seen, but they're hidden behind stories about gangs on PCP, run aways and animal attacks. The population stays steady because of a constant influx of unsuspecting people constantly moving in. Real estate prices are extremely low, especially for California. And the High School was attacked by a gang on graduation day and four people, The Mayor, The Principal and two students were reported dead. On page three of the Sunnydale Times and nowhere else."

"They're covering it up. The Mayor's former cronies are burying it." Colonel O'Neill said.

"Unfortunately, it's out of our jurisdiction. There's isn't anything we can do, beyond make a report about what we suspect, we have no proof." General Hammond said.

"And those kids are probably heading back to Sunnydale after this is over." Colonel O'Neill added.

"Yes, but not out of our sight. We will be there too. Once Mr. Harris returns, we'll find out where this repository is and it'll need to be studied. Not to mention, we'll have to keep an eye on them, since they now know about the Stargate. We can help them, if they need help." General Hammond said, determinedly.
