Hey, guys! Welcome to the new chapter of Avatar: The Blue Spectator Chronicles! I hope you guys will enjoy it...anyway, I don't own anything, except for my OCs as the OC Mako Yami belongs entirely to 9655.

NOW LET'S GET ON WITH THE STORY!

~{Avatar: The Blue Spectator Chronicles Intro!}~

"Water."

A man wearing Nothern Water Tribe clothes weaves a stream of water from the ground as he twirls it around him before thrusting it to the side.

"Earth."

A man wearing Earth Kingdom attire kicks the ground, bringing up a large rock as he punches it to smithereens.

"Fire."

A woman wearing Fire Nation attire crouches down as she summons hot flames from under her feet before leaping up as she does a spinning high-kick that spreads the fire around.

"Air."

A man, wearing Air Nomad clothing, lands on the ground gracefully, and he then proceeds to make a circular motion with his hands and summons a gust of wind as he forms it into a ball and throws it at the readers.

"Shadows."

A woman, wearing Shadow Nation Clothing, could be seen twirling and dancing around, drawing up multiple shadow tendrils as she then tossed it over to slam it across the readers' faces.

"Long ago, the five nations lived together in harmony." Katara's voice was heard as we saw a glimpse of each individual nation and people living in harmony. "But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked," Katara says as we see hundreds of Fire Nation ships invading other cities and burning them to the ground.

"Only the Avatar, master of all five elements, could stop them," Katara says as we see the Avatar standing on top of a pillar as he grins, and his eyes glow blue as he proceeds to perform multiple bending techniques at once. He started out by summoning a Tsunami, then splitting a mountain in half, generating giant torrents of fire by his hands and feet, summoning an air sphere around him that levitated him off the ground, and raising his hands as he summoned multiple giant hand-shaped shadow constructs. "But when the world needed him most...he vanished," Katara says as the Avatar suddenly vanished, and we fast forward a hundred years later, where we see the decimation left by the Fire Nation as they burned everything sight without mercy, not caring who gets in their way as long as they achieve victory in the war.

"A hundred years have passed, and there was no sign of hope of the Firebenders ceasing their attack, but that all changed when my brother and I've discovered a boy who fell from the stars, an alien soldier named Naxon Ecojifan," Katara says as we see her past self, and Sokka looking up in shock as an unknown object fell down from the sky and crashed down as they investigated the crash site, and were surprised to see a wounded Naxon came out of his ship as he crashed down on the floor, and Katara look down at him worriedly while Sokka stared at him suspiciously.

"Naxon explained to us about the war going on his own planet Elysium, and how the Ventis, a race of hostile aliens led by the great and powerful General Tes'lar, effectively dominated them," Katara says as we cue to space, where we see General Tes'lar commanding his Ventis army to take down the Detanons, who tried to fight back but were quickly overwhelmed as they were forced to retreat.

"But the Detanons haven't lost hope as Naxon and his uncle formulated a plan to prepare a base for the Detonans on Earth. Once the base is constructed, Naxon and his people will reunite to end their war once and for all." Katara says as we see the Detanons retreating to a large tower and run over to the escape pods while Naxon and Tarkal are formulating a plan. After agreeing with his uncle's plan, Naxon left for Planet CV-52, but not before giving one last somber look at his planet as he promised his people that he would come back and flew off.

"After explaining his backstory, we had agreed to help him and taken him in as one of our own. A few weeks after going on a fishing trip, my brother, my friend, and I have discovered the new Avatar, an Airbender named Aang." Katara says as we see her past self, Sokka, and Naxon finding Aang trapped in an iceberg as his eyes and tattoos were glowing brightly. "And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone," Katara says as we see Aang standing in a meadow with a grin on his face as he created an air sphere and jumped on it as he laughed and rolled across the meadow, but lost control as he crashed against a stone column and fell down.

"But luckily, he's not alone as Aang will get help from an old friend," Katara says as we see Aang standing on top of a mountain's peak, looking down at the four nations that he will be protecting as Aang feels a little bit nervous, but calms down as a blue glove was placed on his shoulder, and Aang looks up to see Naxon giving him a reassuring smile while wearing his Blue Spectator Armor as Aang smiled and grew determined as the Avatar and The Blue Spectator looks down at the five nations fearlessly, ready to face whatever danger comes their way.

{Book 1: Water-Chapter 6: Imprisoned}

"So I have to ask, why haven't we heard about the Shadow Nation?" Katara asked curiously as we see that the Team Avatar-Spectator was currently hanging out in a forest with them residing on a raised grassy plateau, and a gentle stream was running out beneath it as Katara was folding one of their sleeping blankets, Naxon was relaxing on the floor with Fluffy, and Aang is lying on the root of a tree as Mako laid beside the Waterbender.

"Yeah, I was wondering that too," Naxon says with a raised eyebrow as Mako sighs heavily.

"So, look, obviously, the Shadow Nation and Shadowbending aren't well known in general, right? Well, that's because an enemy known as 'DIO' and the Fire Nation, like what they did with the Air Nation, wiped us out in case the Avatar died as an Airbender and was reincarnated as a Shadowbender. They wiped out about 99% of us, but the remaining survivors, like me, went into hiding. I was hiding with my family, but one day, the Fire Nation found us and captured my Parents and a few other Shadowbenders with the leader of the group leaving a fiery reminder on my back, literally. It happened months prior to our first meeting. Anyway, after the Shadow Nation was led to near extinction, the Fire Nation made the world believe that Shadowbending was a rumor or made up and such, but really, we were just in hiding, waiting for one day to rise up and defeat the Fire Nation and stop the Hundred Year War. It's why I went out to seek you guys out after finding out that the Avatar is alive and about the Blue Spectator.

"Whoa..." A stunned Aang and the others say, unable to believe what he said as, before they can react, Sokka and Momo can be seen walking onto the scene. "Oh, great, you guys are back." An enthusiastic Aang says after spotting the Duo coming onto the scene as Momo screeches and flies over to land on the plateau as Sokka approaches with a bag filled with nuts. "What's for dinner?" Aang asked curiously while leaping off the root with his airbending as he landed beside his teammates, and Sokka dug in his bag as he hummed.

"We've got a few options," Sokka says as he pulls out various nuts and rocks from his bag. "First; round nuts. And some kind of oval-shaped nuts? And some rock-shaped nuts...that might just be rocks...oh, well, let's dig in." Sokka says with a smile while throwing the rock-shaped nut toward Momo and Fluffy as Naxon, Aang, Katara, and Mako stare at him deadpannedly.

"Seriously...what else you got?" Katara asked hopefully as Fluffy sniffed the rock-shaped nut curiously while Momo cooed as he reached over to grab it and slapped it against a stone twice, attempting to break it as Fluffy huffed and reached over to place her paw over Momo's paws and helped him slammed the rock-shaped nut down onto the big rock, but the moment they do so, however, the entire earthquakes, making the Duo shriek and squeal in surprise and fear as Momo's hair stand up on end while Fluffy jumped over to land on Naxon's lap.

"What was that?" A bewildered Naxon asked while reaching down to grab Fluffy into his hands as Momo, believing he and Fluffy may have caused the quake accidentally, cautiously dropped the rock to the ground as the quake returned, causing Momo to leap away as he screeched panickedly.

"It's coming from over there! Let's check it out!" Aang pointed out while gesturing ahead as he and the others, sans Sokka, ran off towards the direction of the earth quaking.

"Wait, shouldn't we run away from huge booms? Not toward them?" Sokka asked incredulously but was ignored as he groaned loudly and reluctantly followed after them as they made their way through the forest and arrived near a fallen tree as Team Avatar-Spectator hid behind it and peered over the tree to see a young boy bending boulders into the air as he punches them into the side of the ravine.

Standing before them is a 5'8-feet-tall, 16-year-old Male Earthbender with green eyes, long dark brown hair that reaches past his shoulders, thin dark brown eyebrows, a small nose, a sharp chin, Light Tan Skin, a tall muscularly toned slim build, and his outfit consists of a green headband wrapped around his head, a sleeveless yellow tunic with green accents, a long-sleeved dark gray shirt underneath, a pair of black armbands, long dark gray pants, a pair of black legbands, and a pair of black shoes. His name is Haru, a skilled Earthbender whose Earth Kingdom Village is currently occupied by the Fire Nation.

"Whoa, an Earthbender!" A shocked Katara exclaimed as Aang smiled widely.

"Let's go meet him!"

"Hmmm, he looks dangerous, so we better approach cautiously," Sokka says with narrowed eyes as Naxon nods in agreement with Fluffy lying on top of his head.

"Sokka's right." Naxon says with a small frown on his face. "Let's be smart about this and-,"

"Hello there!" Katara screamed while suddenly appearing a few feet in front of them as she was excitedly addressing the startled Earthbender. "I'm Katara! What's your name?" Katara asked cheerfully as Haru gasped in shock while dropping the boulder that he was bending to the ground as he then quickly fled and brought down an avalanche of boulders with his bending to block his exit as Haru ran away.

"Nice to meet you!" Aang shouted as he and the others came out of their hiding spot, and they went over to a bewildered Katara.

"I just wanted to say hi."

"He seemed scared by you, we should probably follow after him and see what's going on," Naxon says as Mako nods while pointing ahead.

"Yeah, besides, that guy's gotta be running somewhere, which means that he's heading towards a Village, and where there is a village-,"

"There's food! Which means that we won't have nuts for dinner!" A thrilled Katara screamed as Sokka pouted.

"Hey, I worked hard to get my nuts ready! Come and eat my big nuts already!" Sokka yelled as the Gang paused a bit and slowly turned to him, causing the Water Tribe Resident to realize what he said and blushed heavily. "Errr, nevermind, let's just go to the village," Sokka says as the others nod before Team Avatar-Spectator turns around to walk away as they are able to arrive at a village and begin strolling through the mining village's streets while Aang speaks with a Shopkeeper under a terrace to trade him a straw hat for a bag of Sokka's nuts as Katara then notices Haru entering a random shop and eagerly follows after him with the others following after her as they arrived at the shop and opened it as Team Avatar-Spectator spotted Haru talking with a woman.

Standing before them is a 5'5-feet-tall, 48-year-old Woman with green eyes, long gray hair that reaches down to her waist, thin black eyebrows, a small nose, a sharp chin, Light Skin, a short slender build, and her outfit consists of a dark green headband wrapped around her head, a sleeveless dark green tunic with black accents, a long-sleeved yellow dress underneath, and a pair of black shoes. Her name is Laila, Haru's Mother.

"Hi, Mom."

"Where have you been, Haru? You're late. Get started on your chores." Laila scolded as Katara stepped forward.

"Hey. You're that guy. Why did you run away before?" Katara asked curiously, surprising Haru as he turned to stare at her nervously.

"Uh, you must have me confused with some other guy."

"No, she doesn't. We saw you Earthbending, dude." Mako says with the Small Family gasping in horror and shock at Haru's secret being revealed as Laila swiftly runs over to slam the door, and all of the windows shut as she turns to glare at a guilty Haru sternly.

"They saw you doing what?!"

"They're crazy, Mom! I mean, look at how they're dressed!" Haru yelled while pointing over at Team Avatar-Spectator as Aang gazed at his conical hat and shifted it about in confusion, Naxon gained a deadpanned look while adjusting his borrowed Southern Water Tribe clothes, Katara awkwardly grasped at her dress and glanced down at it with astonishment at herself, Sokka quirked an eyebrow and smooths out his sleeve as a bewildered Mako grasped his jacket sheepishly.

"You know how dangerous that is! You know what would happen if they caught you Earthbending!" Laila exclaimed just as heavy knocking occurred on the door as everyone flinched in surprise.

"Open up!" A Man's voice rang out as Sokka went over to peek through the window's blinds and gasped sharply as he then turned to others.

"Fire Nation! Act natural!" Sokka ordered as everyone nodded, and Laila went over to open the door, allowing a Fire Nation Tax Collector to walk inside and stare awkwardly at the six children in front of him as Haru could be seen grasping his chin to pretend to look thoughtful with crossed eyes, Sokka eyeballs an apple with a smirk on his face, Katara hunches forward with her eyes wide open and stuffed her mouth with berries, Mako and Naxon could be seen having their shoulders wrapped around each other and pretended to stare at the merchandise as Aang has his hand atop a barrel and had an immense toothy smile on his face as his pose is short-lived due to the barrel's lid spinning around, dunking Aang's hand into the barrel of water and causes him to fall down into the ground with a soft grunt.

"What do you want?!" A glaring Laila says as the Fire Nation Tax Collector stares sourly at the six children aggressively. "I've already paid you this week!"

"The tax just doubled, and we wouldn't want an accident, would we?" Fire Nation Tax Collector asked with an arrogant smirk on his face as he created a ball of fire between his hands, making everyone slightly back away in shock and fear. "Fire is sometimes so hard to control." The Fire Nation Tax Collector says as, after getting the obvious threat, he and Laila approach the store's counter from where Haru's Mother opens a small chest and passes a meager handful of Earth Kingdom Currency to the Fire Nation Tax Collector as Haru leans against the counter, staring with contempt toward the Fire Nation Man. "You can keep the copper ones." The Fire Nation Tax Collector says with a laugh while turning around to walk away as he drops four copper pieces to the floor.

"Nice guy." A glaring Sokka says sarcastically as Naxon turns to give Haru and his Mother a serious look.

"How long has the Fire Nation been here?"

"Five years. Fire Lord Ozai uses our town's coal mines to fuel his ships." Laila says somberly as Haru gritted his teeth angrily.

"They're thugs. They steal from us, and everyone here's too much of a coward to do anything about it."

"Quiet, Haru! Don't talk like that!" A scolding Laila says as a confused Mako raises his hand.

"But, Haru's an Earthbender? He can help." Mako pointed out as Laila shook her head with a frown on her face.

"Earthbending is forbidden. It's caused nothing but misery for this village." Laila says while casting a meaningful glance toward her son. "He must never use his abilities."

"How can you say that?" A surprised and angry Katara asked as she stepped forward. "Haru has a gift. Asking him not to earthbend is like asking me not to waterbend. It's a part of who we are."

"You don't understand," Laila says while shaking her head in dismay as Naxon spotted this, and a look of understanding flashed on his face as he sighed heavily.

"Let me guess, there was a group of Earthbenders here who tried to defend their village but got captured, huh?"

"Exactly," Laila stated solemnly, surprising Katara and the others as she gained teary eyes. "If Haru's Earthbending Abilities get revealed, they could take him away just like they took his father away," Laila says, shocking everyone as Haru looks away sadly, and we then fast forward in time to a farmland and barn as we see Haru leading Team Avatar-Spectator over to get inside of the barn.

"My mom said that you guys can sleep here tonight, but you should leave in the morning." Haru says as Aang and Mako nod.

"Thanks. I'll make sure Appa doesn't eat all your hay."

"And I will make sure that Okami doesn't do the same," Mako says as he and the others then spot Appa engulfing a mouthful of hay while Okami lays on another one as Appa pauses, turning to stare dubiously toward Aang before continuing to chew hay as Okami merely continues sleeping and we then fast forward in time yet again as we see Katara and Haru taking a walk into the woods outside under the setting sun.

"I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I didn't know about your father." Katara says to Haru apologetically as he shrugs.

"That's okay. It's funny, the way you were talking back in the store, it reminded me of him."

"Thanks." A flattered Katara says just as they approach the top of a steep cliff, gazing out to the setting sun beyond as Haru bends down to pick up a bunch of rocks.

"My father was very courageous. When the Fire Nation invaded, he and the other Earthbenders were outnumbered ten to one, but they fought back anyway."

"He sounds like a great man," Katara says with a small smile as she sits down beside him, and Haru does the same as he sighs somberly.

"After the attack, they rounded up my father and every other Earthbender and took them away," Haru says while Earthbending two stones in a circle above his hand. "We haven't seen them since. The problem is that, even if I have to hide my Earthbending to not suffer the same fate, the only way I can feel close to my father now is when I practice my bending." Haru says while crushing the stones into sand with his hands as the sand blows away in the wind. "He taught me everything I know," Haru says as Katara stares at him in shock before giving him a sympathetic look as she then reaches up to tap her necklace with her fingertips.

"See this necklace? My mother gave it to me. I lost my mother in a Fire Nation raid." Katara says while hanging her head somberly as tears appear in her eyes. "This necklace is all I have left of her."

"...It's not enough, is it?"

"...No," Katara revealed with a crestfallen look on her face as she and Haru remained silent and allowed the wind to hit their faces as, once they were done, they talked for a bit before deciding to go back home and began walking down a dirty trail as, suddenly, a loud booming noise rang out as rock and dust blasts from a distant mine entrance and the startled Duo quickly ran over to check out what was doing on and spotted an old man trapped underneath the entrance, which has suffered a cave-in and left a tremendous pile of rocks pinning him into the ground on his stomach as sand continues to pour down, rocks intermittently falling.

"Help me! Help me, please!" The Old Man pleaded with tears in his eyes as Katara quickly bent down to grab his arm and tried to pull him out while Haru braced his back against the mine entrance as the Waterbender was unable to pull the Old Man out.

"Ugh! It's not working! We have to get help!"

"There's no time, pull harder!" Haru yelled as Katara frowned concernedly but then perked up as an idea popped into her head and turned to him.

"Haru, there's a way you can help him!" Katara screamed while giving him a knowing look as Haru flinched and sweated with guilty fear as he bit his lip.

"I can't!"

"Please, there's no one around to see you! It's the only way!" Katara screamed as Haru grimaced, but after getting a good look at the Old Man who will definitely not betray him like the little bitch tit he is, a look of determination appeared on his face, and leaps away from the falling debris as Haru spins back to face it while assumes an Earthbending Form as, with a sudden and strong move, he blasts all the rocks down the tunnel, freeing the old man as a beaming Katara smiled at him.

"Haru! You did it!" A proud Katara yelled as Haru smiled and nodded as they then went over to grab the Old Man and pulled him up from the ground as they aided him in walking away from the mine, not noticing that he was staring at Haru in shock and suspicion as we then cue over to night time and we cue over to the barn as Katara is sitting up in her bedroll with a lamp in her lap as Sokka is lying on a square bale of hay with his blanket over him, Naxon is lying down on his bedroll with his arms behind his head as Fluffy laid on his stomach, Mako could be seen lying on top of Okami with his blanket placed over him, and Aang is sprawled out on Appa's head with Momo lying on his back. "It was so brave of Haru to use his Earthbending to help that old man."

"For real, Haru is a good dude," Naxon says as Aang nods in agreement while turning to smile down at his crush.

"You must have really inspired him."

"I guess so," Katara said with a sheepish blush on her face as Sokka yawned and turned to her.

"Everyone should get some sleep, we're leaving at dawn."

"Dawn? Can't we sleep in for once?" Mako asked with a raised eyebrow as Sokka turned to shake his head at him.

"Absolutely not," Sokka says commandingly with a serious glare on his face. "This village is crawling with Fire Nation troops. If they discover you guys are here, Aang and Naxon, we'll be eating fireballs for breakfast. Goodnight."

"I'd rather eat fireballs than nuts." A sly Katara says with a wry smirk as Naxon shrugs with a playful grin on his face.

"Eh, I'm more of a rock balls kind of guy."

"I. Said. Goodnight." An irritated Sokka says with finality while slamming down on his bale of hay as the Gang shares a laugh before Katara blows out the lamplight to get some rest as, unknown to them, Fire Nation Troops march on a mission through the dead of night and the man in the lead knocks on a wooden door as Haru answers the door and his eyes widened in shock as he gasped sharply.

"That's him! That's the Earthbender!" The fucking asshole Old Man that should die in hell for being such a fucking snitch exclaimed while pointing at Haru accusingly as the Fire Nation Leader shoves the old man out of the way and approaches Haru as he forces him into his grip, and hauls him away.

In the morning, a smiling and humming Katara can be seen carrying a jar outside of the barn as she sets it down beside a water pump and proceeds to Waterbend, drawing water out of the spigot and into the waiting pot as Katara then bends down to pick up the jar and spotted Haru's mother standing several feet away from her with her back to her, gazing toward the distant ocean as a gleeful Katara was bout to happily greet her, but stopped as Laila slowly turns around, laying a tearful gaze upon Katara as her eyes widened in horror and realization with her hands shaking as she drops the pot and it shatters to pieces at her feet as Katara then turned around to run over to get inside of the barn and made her way over to the boys with a heartbroken look on her face.

"They took him! They took Haru away!"

"What?!" Naxon and the others exclaimed in shock as Katara teared up with a remorseful look on her face.

"The Old Man snitched on him and turned Haru over to the Fire Nation. It's all my fault. I forced him into Earthbending." Katara says as Mako and Sokka step beside her with the former taking her hand in his and the latter laying his hand supportively behind her shoulder as the Boys give her a calm look.

"Katara, don't worry, it's not your fault. It's that snitch's fault." Mako says reassuringly as Sokka nods.

"Yes, and now, when did this happen, Katara?"

"Haru's Mother said they came for him at midnight," Katara says as Naxon cursed with a glare as he looked away.

"Then it's too late to track him, he's long gone by this point," Naxon says as Katara turns defiantly to the open door with her fists clenched as she narrows her eyes with a grim frown on her face.

"We don't need to track him. The Fire Nation is going to take a few of us right to Haru."

"And...why would they do that?" A bewildered Aang asked as Katara turned to smirk at him slyly.

"Because they're going to arrest us for Earthbending," Katara says with Naxon and the others sharing shocked looks.

"Ooh, I see what you are planning and I approve, but first, it's time to pay that Old Man a visit and show him that snitches get stitches," Mako says with a mischievous grin on his face as we then fast forward in time and we see the Old Man happily walking back to his home while leaving with the fact that he sentences an innocent kid to prison for life and to be tortured by the Fire Nation as he made his way over to his house, only to yelp in surprise as a roaring Okami appeared and ran through his house, destroying it completely as the Old Man went wide-eyed in shock and kneeled down into the ground as he gritted his teeth in frustration and anger.

"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! How worse can my day get?!" The Old Man asked just as a large shadow appeared as he slowly glanced up and spotted Appa flying above him as he proceeds to let out a huge pile of shit from out of his ass in mid-air, and it flew down to crash down on top of the Old Man, causing him to gag in disgust and horror as he crawled out of the giant poop of man, but then yelped in pain as Fluffy went over to kick him in the crotch, knocking him down into the ground as the pile of poop fell over to fall down on top of him yet again.

"You know I thought you were crazy at first, Katara, but this might work." A surprised Sokka says as we see him, Naxon, Mako, and Katara working together to push a boulder overtop an air vent on a rocky road. "There are ventilation shafts throughout these mines. All Aang has to do is send an air current from that vent to this one right here. The boulder levitates and ta-da. Fake Earthbending."

"Aang, are you even listening?" An annoyed Naxon asked Aang, who was hiding behind a small rock and was snapping small puffs of air at a sooty copper fritillary butterfly lazily.

"Sure, sure. I got it." Aang says dismissively as Mako glares at him lightly.

"Do you remember your cue?"

"Yeah, yeah. Just relax. You're taking all the fun out of this."

"By this, do you mean intentionally being captured by a group of ruthless Firebenders?" An aggravated Sokka says as Aang gives him a playful grin.

"Exactly! That's fun stuff!" Aang says as the Gang rolls their eyes but then perks up as they spot a group of Firebenders with spears approaching them.

"Here they come. Get in your places, everyone." Mako commanded as everyone nodded, and Aang stopped playing with the butterfly as Fluffy and Momo tried catching it, but it flew away just as the group of spear-wielding Firebending Guards approached as Katara, Naxon, Mako, and Sokka made a show of walking into one another by their stomachs as they glared at each other furiously.

"Get out of my way, losers!" Sokka yelled angrily as the Firebender Soldiers watched in confusion with one of them even raising an eyebrow as Katara hunched over with a scowl on her face.

"How dare you call me and my friends losers, you giant-eared cretin!"

"You heard us, we said-,"

"We called you, 'A giant-eared cretin!'!" Katara yelled, interrupting a startled Naxon as she pointed at a shocked Sokka. "I mean, look at those things! Do herds of animals use them for shade?!" Katara screamed far too dramatically as her hair loopies moved with her motion.

"You better back off!" Sokka screamed as he then leaned over to his Sister. "Seriously, back off."

"For real, girl, no need to be harsh about this," Mako says while he and Naxon chuckle a bit at what Katara said, but they don't want them to be sidetracked from their mission.

"I will not back off!" A more determined Katara screeched while pushing away Naxon and Mak as she heightened above her now-cowering brother. "I bet elephants get together and make fun of how large your ears are!"

"That's it! You're going down!" Sokka yelled with a glare as Naxon composed himself and nodded as he pointed over at him.

"Oh, yeah? Think you can take us down, tough guy?!"

"We will defeat you!"

"And show you who's boss! Earthbending Style!" Katara exclaimed over-dramatically while she, Naxon, and Mako leaped toward the boulder as they clenched their fists, and sent their arms flying upwards...but nothing happened as a glaring Mako turned his head over to the direction of Aang.

"She said, Earthbending Style!" Mako exclaimed, catching a distracted Aang's attention, and after realizing his mistake by missing his cue, the Young Airbender then ceased playing with the butterfly as he leaped up into the air and blasted a strong jet of air into the ventilation duct, sending the boulder levitating into the air as it reveals Momo and Fluffy behind the boulder as they were apparently nuzzling their noses against each other and flinched in surprise upon noticing that they were cut as they blushed sheepishly.

"That Lemur and that Bunny! They are Earthbenders!" One of the Firebending Guards exclaimed in shock as the Gang gave him disbelieving looks.

"No, you idiot, it's the girl and her friends!" Sokka yelled while pointing over at Katara, Naxon, and Mako as the Fire Nation Guard blushed shamefully, and the Water Tribe Boy then turned to the Trio. "You guys have twelve hours to find Haru. We'll be right behind you three." Sokka whispered to Naxon, Katara, and Mako as they nodded just as the Fire Nation Guards went over to grab the Trio and they led them away as Team Avatar-Spectator watched them go with Sokka unhappily tugging at his ears, testing their sizes as Sokka then eyeballs Momo and Fluffy.

"Momo and Fluffy? You two have some big ears." Sokka says bitterly as Fluffy sniffles and begins crying as an angry Momo flies over to begin punching his face with a worried Aang going over to try and help him as we then fast forward in time, and we see Katara, Naxon, and Mako sitting in the back of a Fire Nation Transport with other Earthbender Prisoners while wearing brown tattered prison garb over their clothing as they stared head glumly as Sokka and Aang each have conical yellow hats in a crowd, attempting to stealthily observe their travel as the transporter bobs along a pier, heading toward a waiting barge on the ocean as Team Avatar-Spectator followed after them and rode on Appa through the clouds as Aang stared down at the transport carrying his friends to the prison nervously.

"They'll be fine, Aang. Katara, Naxon, and Mako know what they are doing." Sokka says reassuringly as Aang smiles warily and nods as, after arriving at the Prison Rig known as 'Mo Ce Sea Prison', we see all of the Prisoners lined up on the deck of the prison with spear-wielding Fire Nation Guards standing at either side and the Fire Nation Prison Warden approaches with a smug grin on his face.

"Earthbenders. It is my pleasure to welcome you aboard my modest shipyard. I am your warden. I prefer to think of you not as prisoners, but as honored guests." The Fire Nation Warden quips smartly with a chuckle as Katara and the boys glare over at him angrily. "And I hope you come to think of me as your humble and caring host. You will succeed here if you simply abide-," The Fire Nation Warden says before pausing as he is suddenly interrupted by a Prisoner in line coughing and, with no forewarning, the Fire Nation Warden leaps into the air as he aims a blast of fire at the Prisoner's legs in anger with said person coweing away for safety as the Fire Nation Warden stands defiantly toward the man.

"What kind of guest dishonors his host by interrupting him?! Take him below!" A very furious Fire Nation Warden screamed as some Fire Nation Guards proceeded to escort the panicking Prisoner away. "One week in solitary will improve his manners. Now, if you simply treat me with the courtesy that I give you..." The Fire Nation Warden says while approaching Naxon and the others, kneeling to stare into their obstinate expression as Naxon glares back fearlessly, Katara crosses her eyebrows and scowls coarsely at him as Mako narrows his eyes furiously. "...and we'll get along famously." The Fire Nation Warden says as he and the Fire Nation Guards proceed to take the Prisoners on a tour of the facility as they spot more and more prisoners doing some manual labor.

"Now, you will notice, Earthbenders, that this rig is made entirely of metal. You are miles away from any rock or earth." The Fire Nation Warden says as Katara and the boys glance over at the expansive ocean to the land far away. "So, if you have any illusions about employing that brutish savagery that passes for bending among you people...forget them. It is impossible. Good day." The Fire Nation Warden says before the Fire Nation Guards proceed to escort the Prisoners into the Mo Ce Sea Prison Courtyard as Naxon, Katara, and Mako enter last as the metal gates close behind them and, among many Earthbender Prisoners, Haru walks by them as he takes notice of the others and gasped in surprise.

"Katara? Naxon? Mako?"

"Haru!" An exhilarated Katara yelled while running over to hug Haru as Naxon and Mako went over to share high fives with him.

"Guys, what are you doing here?" A shocked Haru asked curiously as Katara gave him a somewhat apologetic look.

"It's my fault you were captured. As well as that Snitch of an Old Man."

"But don't worry, we destroyed his house and covered him in Sky Bison Shit," Naxon says reassuringly as Mako nods.

"So, anyway, we came here to rescue you by pretending to be Earthbenders."

"Wait, you guys got yourself arrested to save me?" A surprised Haru asked as Katara nodded.

"It was the only way to find you."

"Man, you guys are crazy, but you have guts, I'll give you that. Come on. There's someone I want you guys to meet." Haru says while leading the group over to an old white-bearded man eating dinner among other Prisoners. "Katara, Naxon, and Mako? This is my Father, Tyro. Dad. This is Katara, Naxon, and Mako."

Standing before them is a 5'10-feet-tall, 50-year-old Male Earthbender with green eyes, a bald head, thick white eyebrows, a small nose, a sharp chin with a long white beard, Light Tan Skin, a tall muscularly toned slim build, and his outfit consists of a sleeveless brown tunic with gray accents, a long-sleeved dark gray shirt underneath, long brown pants, and a pair of black shoes. His name is Tyro, a wise and courageous leader of a Rural Earth Kingdom Mining village and Haru and Laila's Father and Husband.

"It's an honor to meet you, sir," Katara says while bowing to Tyro as Naxon and Mako do the same.

"Have some dinner, kids," Tyro says while handing a couple of bowls to the Trio, who accept it as Katara grimaces. "It's not as bad as it looks," Tyro says as the Trio nods and tries a spoonful, but Katara and Mako become further disgusted as Naxon looks indifferent. "It's still pretty bad though."

"Eh, I ate worse," Naxon says with a shrug as another Prisoner walks over to Tyro.

"Tyro. The prisoners are complaining there aren't enough blankets to go around."

"Hmmm, I'll talk to the guards. In the meantime, make sure the elderly are taken care of. The rest of us will simply have to hope for warmer weather." Tyro says as Katara gives him a curious yet determined look.

"If you don't mind me asking, what's your escape plan?"

"Excuse me?" A bewildered Tyro asked as Mako gave him an incredulous look.

"Uh, you know, the plan to get everyone off the rig? What is it? Mutiny, sabotage, or just plain old destruction?" An excited Mako asked as Tyro closed his eyes and sighed somberly as he shook his head.

"Our plan is to survive. Wait out this war. Hope that one day some of us can get back home and forget this ever happened."

"Wait, for real?" A shocked Mako asked as Katara nodded with a glare.

"How can you say that? You sound like you've already given up."

"Guys, it's not that simple." Naxon pointed out as Tryo nodded while opening his eyes as he had a defeated look on his face.

"Kids, I admire your courage, and I envy your youth, but people's lives are at stake here. The Warden is a ruthless man, and he won't stand for any rebellion. I'm sorry, but we're powerless."

"We'll see about that." A determined Katar says obstinately as she stands up from the floor and reaches over to grab a trash can lid and a ladle as the Waterbender proceeds to climb on top of a wooden table and, from there, she bangs the ladle against the lid to draw attention. "Earthbenders! You don't know me, but I know of you! Every child in my Water Tribe village was rocked to sleep with stories of the brave Earth Kingdom, and the courageous earthbenders who guard its borders!" Katara screamed as the Watchman walked up to talk to the Fire Nation Warden, who stopped him to listen to what Katara was saying. "Some of you may think that the Fire Nation has made you powerless! Yes, they have taken away your ability to bend, but they can't take away your courage and it is your courage they should truly fear!

"Because it runs deeper than any mine you've been forced to dig, any ocean that keeps you far from home! It is the strength of your heart that makes you who you are! Hearts that will remain unbroken when all rock and stone has eroded away! The time to fight back is now! I can tell you the Avatar has returned! And not just that but he has help from a Mysterious Warrior from a faraway land! So remember your courage, Earthbenders! Let us fight for our freedom!" Katara exclaimed passionately as her speech was met with utter silence and a small cough in the background, leaving her to fall into sorrow as she realized the muted answer she received as the Fire Nation Warden walked away from the courtyard with a smug grin on his face.

"I'm sorry, Katara, but you can't really expect the Earthbending Prisoners to rise up to fight against their captors." An apologetic Naxon says while walking over to her as Mako follows after him and nods in agreement.

"Yeah, I mean, not only are they powerless, but they have endured pain and suffering at the Warden's hands for decades," Mako says as Katara pouts but said nothing as we then fast forward to night time and we see the Trio sleeping in their chambers with the other Prisoners as Aang suddenly appears out of nowhere and sneaks over to tap the Trio's shoulders, waking them up as the Avatar gestured at them to be quiet and the Trio nodded as Aang then proceeds to lead them over to the perimeter from where Sokka, Fluffy, and Appa are waiting to make their escape.

"Guys, your twelve hours are up. Where's Haru? We've gotta get outta here." Sokka says as Naxon shakes his head.

"We can't."

"Why not? We don't have much time. There are guards everywhere. Get on." An urgent Sokka says as a concerned Aang turns to them.

"Guys, what's wrong?"

"We're not leaving," Mako stated firmly with Sokka and Aang sharing a questionable look as Katara narrowed her eyes in fierce determination.

"We're not giving up on these people," Katara says as Sokka gives her a surprised look.

"What do you mean you're not leaving?!"

"We can't abandon these people. They have given up hope to escape and be free, so we need to help them out." Naxon said as a thoughtful Mako nodded with a hum.

"There has to be a way to help them."

"Honestly? I agree with them. We need to help them out. What do you say, Sokka?" Aang says as Sokka glares at all of them in irritation.

"I say you are all crazy," Sokka says just as a searching spotlight appeared as he flinched. "Last chance. We need to leave, now."

"No." A stern Katara says as Sokka shakes his head dismally.

"I hate when you get like this. Okay, look, we don't have much time. What are we gonna do?"

"I wish I knew how to make a hurricane," Aang says with a pout as Sokka, Mako, and Katara provide him with assuredly un-entertained facial expressions. "The warden would run away and we'd steal his keys."

"Wouldn't he just take his keys with him?" Sokka asked in disbelief as Naxon raised an eyebrow at him.

"Besides, you do know how to make a hurricane. You made one during our fight with King Bumi, but I think it's better if we don't do that since you can accidentally send the Prisoners flying out of the rig as well." Naxon pointed out as Katara sighed heavily.

"Well, at least Aang is tossing around ideas. I mean, I tried talking the Earthbenders into fighting back but, it didn't work. If there was just a way to help them help themselves."

"For that, they'd need some kind of earth or some rock. Something they can bend." Sokka pointed out as Katara laid her palm on the surface.

"But this entire place is made of metal."

"No, it's not," Mako says while pointing over at the smokestacks. "Look at the smoke. I bet they're burning coal. In other words, earth."

"It's almost dawn. We're running out of time." An anxious Katara says as we cut to the next morning and we see Sokka, Mako, and Katara standing by an air duct at the Mo Ce Sea Prison as Aang and Naxon are missing. "You sure this is gonna work?"

"It should," Sokka says with a nod as Katara and Mako turn to listen to his explanation curiously. "These vents reminded me of our little trick back at the village. We're gonna do the same thing but on a much bigger scale. There's a huge deposit of coal at the base of the silo, and the whole system is ventilated. The Avatar and the Blue Spectator closed off all the vents except one. When they do their Airbending, the coal only has one place to go, right back here." Sokka explained as Katara and Mako nodded as they were about to say something, but then-

"There's the intruder!" A man's voice rang out as Mako and the Water Tribe Siblings were suddenly surrounded by a number of spear-wielding Fire Nation Guards as the Prisoners gathered a safe distance away from this spectacle, observing what was happening.

"Stay back!" A glaring Mako yelled while summoning several shadow tendrils from out of the ground as Sokka pulled out his boomerang, and Katara was about to try and reach into her Waterskin, but-

"Kids, stop! You can't win this fight!" Tyro yelled roughly as the Fire Nation Warden nodded stoically.

"Listen to him well, children. You're one mistake away from dying where you stand."

"Don't listen to him, guys. We got this." A glaring Mako says as the Water Tribe Siblings nod grimly and they are about to get into a fight with the Fire Nation Guards, but suddenly, a rush of air fills their ears as the facility shakes and the ventilation shaft bursts off its hinges as an immense blast of coal soars into the air, crashing down into a gathered pile as everyone present is silent, staring in stark surprise at this turn of events as the Avatar and the Blue Spectator leaps out from the barren ventilation shaft, landing atop the coal pile and coughing as they were covered in soot and dirt as Katara runs up to the coal and turned to face the Earthbenders.

"Here's your chance, Earthbenders!" Katara exclaimed while lifting up a piece of coal with a determined glare on her face. "Take it! Your fate is in your own hands!" Katara yelled as Haru bolted ahead without hesitation, prepared to bend the waiting coal as a weapon, but Tyro threw his hand up, bracing his son's chest to halt his advance as the Fire Nation Warden burst out into highly amused laughter.

"Foolish girl. You thought a few inspirational words and some coal would change these people? Look at these blank, hopeless faces. Their spirits were broken a long time ago." The Fire Nation Warden says as Katara's expression dims as she does as instructed, staring at the forlorn prisoners. "Oh, but you still believe in them. How sweet. They're a waste of your energy little girl. You failed." The Fire Nation Warden says while finishing his speech by turning to take leave of the facility, but as he does so, a single piece of coal sails through the air and pelts the back of his head, which causes Naxon and the others to laugh amusedly as, feeling outraged, the Fire Nation Warden spins back to see who dared to attack him and it turns out to be a defiant Haru standing in place, levitating three pieces of coal above his hand as the Fire Nation Warden sends a blast of fire toward Haru, only for the attack to be blocked by the newly invigorated Tyro as he raises a wall of coal in his defense.

"Show no mercy!" The Fire Nation Warden shouted as the Fire Nation Guards lined up and prepared for battle as they sent a blast of fire toward the Rebelling Prisoners, but thankfully, Tyro and the other Earthbender Prisoners worked together to haul a sizable mass of coal to block the fire.

"For the Earth Kingdom, attack!" Tyro exclaimed while slamming the coal to the ground, sending the chunks of rock to assault the Fire Nation Guards as the battle immediately flares with the Earthbending Prisoners ducking blasts of fire and countering with fists of coal as Blue Spectator summoned his Trident, and he and Sokka charged forward to whack multiple Fire Nation Guards away as Aang, Mako, and Katara used their bending to send several Fire Nation Guards out of the rig as Momo flew through the air while holding Fluffy with his feet as he tossed her over to one of the Watchmen, blinding him as several other Watchman tried to take out the rabbit, only for her to jump away as she and Momo worked together to force the Watchmen to attack each other.

"Argh!" Tyro grunted as he and Haru worked in unison to compress gathered coal into one lump, slinging this through the doors to make way for their escape as Tyro pointed over at the large hole in the wall. "Get to the ships! We'll hold them off!" Tyro screamed as the majority of the Earthbenders immediately began running over to freedom.

"Do not let them escape!" An angry Fire Nation Warden exclaimed as he and a few Fire Nation Guards began firing multiple streams of fire at them with Aang and Blue Spectator sharing a look as they worked together to generate an air funnel and hold it between their hands.

"Guys! Throw us some coal!"

"Where?! We can't see what you guys are doing! It's air!"

"Just throw the rocks down here!" Blue Spectator yelled while gesturing at an empty space of air as the Water Tribe Siblings nodded and began dropping heaps of coal into their air funnel, firing the material rapidly at the Fire Nation Warden and his fellow Firebenders, knocking them to the ground as, following this, Tyro and two other Earthbenders work together to lift coal beneath these adversaries, moving them away from the rig and over the ocean.

"No, please! I can't swim!" The Fire Nation Warden pleaded as Tyro glared at him coldly.

"Don't worry. I hear cowards float." Tyro says as he and the Earthbenders proceed to drop their enemies into the ocean as we then fast forward in time, and we see multiple boats docked on the ocean with all of the Earthbender Prisoners on board to head back to their homes as Team Avatar-Spectator could be seen riding around on Appa with Katara still standing on the deck of Mo Ce Sea Prison as Haru and Tyro stood beside the Waterbender.

"Katara, I want to thank you and your friends for saving me. For saving us."

"All it took was a little coal." A humble Katara says as Haru shakes his head with a warm smile on his face.

"It wasn't the coal, Katara. It was you." Haru says, causing Katara to blush as Tyro smiles at her as well.

"Thank you for helping me find my courage, Katara of the Water Tribe. My family and everyone here owe you and your team much."

"So, I guess you're going home now, huh?" Katara asked as Tyro nodded.

"Yes. To take back my village." Tyro says before turning to face the crowd on the lower deck as he raises his fist. "To take back all of our villages! The Fire Nation will regret the day they set foot on our land!" Tyro screamed as the crowd of Former Earthbending Prisoners cheered loudly at Tyro's bravado.

"Come with us," Haru says to Katara, who shakes her head.

"I can't. Your mission is to take back your home. Ours is to get Aang and Naxon to the North Pole to have them learn Waterbending and set up a base." Katara says while pointing over at her friends as Haru stares down at Aang and Naxon in shock.

"It's them, isn't it? The Avatar and the rumored Blue Spectator? Cool. Anyway, Katara, thank you for bringing my father back to me. I never thought I'd see him again. I only wish there was some way."

"I know," Katara says somberly while reaching for her necklace wistfully, but she realizes it is not around her neck and panics. "My mother's necklace! It's gone!" A horrified and shocked Katara exclaimed as we then fast forward to nighttime, and we see Prince Zuko standing alone in the abandoned Mo Ce Sea Prison, facing the sunset amid coal lying sparsely on the deck as Zuko seized Katara's necklace in his fingers, lifting it to stare at it grimly as he frowned stoically.

And done. I hope that you guys enjoy the chapter, and I can't wait to write the next one. Also, according to Avatar Extras bonus commentary for this episode, when Aang is asleep the night the Fire Nation troops capture Haru, he is dreaming about Katara with a big smile on his face, and the story isn't crossing over with JoJo's Bizarre Adventures. The OC just have the same name as DIO.

Anyway, as always, I will catch you all later.
