Chapter 6

"So, you no longer have a boyfriend, how are you going to make this baby thing happen?" Brenda asked.

"I have thought about it and I was thinking about going to a sperm bank. I mean, it's not like I can ask anyone in town." Robin said.

"Yeah, that would be awkward." Lois agreed.

"You know that you have our full support. I mean Reese and I have done a lot of research on the subject, so I can answer some of your questions about it." Bianca replied.

"Thank you for the support, you guys. I love you!" Robin said as gathered all of her friends in a group hug.

Just as the friends pulled back from each other, there was a knock at Robin's door.

"I wonder who that could be. I wasn't expecting anybody today. Robin said as she got up to open the door.

She opened the door and Jason was on the other side.

"Jason? Hi, what are doing here? Is everything okay?" Robin said, waving Jason into the apartment.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to alarm you. I was just stopping by to check on you. You weren't at work, and I just wanted to make sure you were okay. But I can see that you are okay and have company, so I am going to go now." Jason replied.

"Yeah, I decided to use some of my vacation time for a few days. Thanks for checking on me Jason. That was nice of you. I know you remember Brenda and Lois, and this is my best friend from Paris, Bianca." Robin said.

"Hi." Jason greeted the ladies with a barely there, tight smile.

"Nice to meet you, Jason, it's nice to meet you in person." Bianca politely said while Brenda just looked at him with disdain and Lois just waved at him.

Jason turned back to Robin and said, "I am glad that you are okay and if you need anything, just let me know."

"Thanks for that and for stopping by to check on me. I really do appreciate it." Robin said.

"Yeah of course. Ladies." Jason said and then left.

Robin knew as soon as she closed the door, she was going to get the third degree. She had not informed her friends of the latest developments between her and Jason. To be quite honest she was entirely sure of their relationship most days and did not want to jinx anything. They were in a really good spot nowadays and didn't want to let any outside influences get in the way.

Robin took a deep breath, squared her shoulders, slowly let out the breath, and prepared herself for a thorough questioning.

"So, who's ready to go get something to eat?" Robin asked as a distraction, knowing it wouldn't work around these women.
