"Don't bleed all over my floor, Ulric," Noctis quipped, her sapphire eyes fixed on Nyx's hunched form.

Nyx managed a pained chuckle. "Ah, the warm welcome, princess," he replied with a hint of jest. Noctis let out an exasperated sigh and ran her fingers through her inky black hair.

"I've grown used to you showing up in this state," she retorted matter-of-factly. "But this time, you've really outdone yourself by reopening your wounds." She turned and headed to the bathroom, where she kept her well-stocked first aid kit. Her comment about Nyx's frequent injuries had been more than a casual remark; it had unnerved her initially, but with time, she'd grown accustomed to the routine.

Surveying Nyx's injuries—a deep gash on his forehead, another on his arm, and the unsettling sight of blood seeping from his abdomen—Noctis responded with a light tap of her barefoot, earning a glare from him. "Seriously, princess?" he groaned, and Noctis shook her head in response.

"Let's get you up. We're going straight to the medical room. Need a hand?" she asked, her gaze never leaving his form.

"Well, I suppose we'll soon find out," Nyx quipped. He gingerly attempted to stand but nearly toppled over. Noctis, her own balance momentarily compromised, managed to catch him. She glanced down at the red stain on her carpet with a sigh. She knew Ignis would have a few words about that.

"Okay, we're taking it slow," Noctis declared as they began their journey to what the others affectionately dubbed the "Nyx Medical Room." It had earned its nickname due to its sterile environment, reminiscent of a hospital room, which had become necessary given Nyx's frequent injuries.

Inside the Nyx Medical Room, she carefully laid him down on the sterile sheets of the bed. His shirt clung to him with dried blood, and she couldn't help but cluck her tongue in disapproval. Noctis retrieved a butterfly knife from her pocket and used it to cut away the fabric. Nyx, noticing her intentions, couldn't resist a playful remark.

"Whoa, princess, careful with that. I'd rather not have my gravestone say, 'Here lies Nyx Ulric, killed by accidental stabbing by his girlfriend.'" Noctis, unamused, rolled her eyes.

"No, your gravestone is going to say, 'Here lies Nyx Ulric, he died because he couldn't bother to haul his ass to the hospital and instead relied on his girlfriend,'" she retorted with a smirk, her determination to take care of him clear to see. She took the butterfly knife and carefully cut away the shirt with precision. Then, she gently peeled the fabric away. Normally, she wouldn't mind taking a moment to admire Nyx's muscles, but right now, she had a job to do.

"How did you even get these?" Noctis inquired, examining the sizable gash on Nyx's abdomen.

"Saved a kid from a Behemoth," Nyx replied, his head resting back on a pillow. Noctis donned clean gloves and probed the wound. He winced, prompting her to pull back. "Damn, that hurt," he remarked, and Noctis offered him a slightly apologetic smile.

"I'm sorry about that. Just checking the depth of the wound. The blood makes it hard to see. Also, a Behemoth in the city?" she questioned. There had to be a story behind this, and she was eager to hear it.

"Yeah, it broke out of the Insomnia Zoo. The kid was right in its path when it charged. I might have been a bit careless," Nyx chuckled.

"A bit, huh?" Noctis said, opening the first aid kit and retrieving a thick cloth fabric. She handed it to Nyx, and they fell into their familiar routine. Their dating life was unique, but they made it work, even with Nyx's Kingsglaive duties that sometimes left Noctis anxious about his return from the front lines.

"It was a rough one. I had bought that giant Chocobo you wanted the last time we went to the zoo," Nyx mentioned. Noctis chuckled, her heart skipping a beat. This was why she loved him.

"You might want to bite down on this, Nyx," Noctis advised him, extracting the 100% alcohol she had stored in the first aid kit. Nyx followed her advice, placing the cloth in his mouth. Ensuring he was prepared, she poured the alcohol onto his wound. Luckily, the cloth in his mouth muffled the scream he made; otherwise, her neighbors might have thought a murder was taking place. That was the last thing the royal family needed: 'Princess Noctis, potential murderer.'

Finally, the wound was disinfected, and she retrieved the needle and thread. She really despised this part. Just because she was accustomed to it didn't mean she enjoyed witnessing a needle pierce human flesh. She got to work swiftly, then proceeded to address his other wounds, finishing in due time. She collected the used equipment and placed it in a container meant for contaminated tools and items. Carefully, she removed her gloves and disposed of them.

"What would I do without you?" Nyx pondered aloud, causing Noctis to raise an eyebrow.

"Bleed out, most likely," she quipped, earning a chuckle from Nyx followed by a wince as pain coursed through his body.

"Seriously, cut it out," he said, attempting to stifle a laugh. Noctis sighed, considering whether to contact Libertus or Crowe. Crowe was usually the one to give Nyx a piece of her mind when he pulled reckless stunts, and Noctis admired her for it. Libertus, on the other hand, tended to be more lenient and might even encourage Nyx's recklessness.

"Do you want me to fetch you some painkillers?" Noctis inquired, concerned for her injured boyfriend.

"I'd prefer a glass of whiskey," he replied cheekily. His remark earned him a glare, one that could potentially kill if looks had that power. Nyx decided it would be wise not to push his girlfriend's patience too far while he lay injured on the bed. "I mean, yes ma'am. Thank you, ma'am." Noctis nodded, a wry smirk on her face.

Noctis left the room, heading to the bathroom's medicine cabinet to grab some extra-duty pills, which also had a sedative effect. They might not technically be available to the public, but Noctis was grateful her father had made sure to give her stronger medicine as one of his Kingsglaive members kept visiting his daughter when injured. She then proceeded to the kitchen, pondering what would be best for Nyx.

In the end, she decided to go with some potion-infused water to expedite the healing process. She returned to the room, handing him the pills and the glass of water. She watched for a moment, then took the glass, heading back to the kitchen and placing it in the sink. When she returned, she couldn't help but smile. He was out cold, snoring away. She walked over, giving Nyx a tender kiss, then left the room, closing the door behind her. She had some calls to make.

Author's Note: Was digging around my old computer and I found a file that just said Don't Bleed on My Floor, and then I found it was Fem!Noctis x Nyx and I rolled with it. Hopefully you all enjoy. I have one more chapter after, and I'll post it at 12AM. But please leave a comment, I'm starving for comments. I think a lot of fanfiction readers forget that we writers are also part of the fandom and would like to talk about it. At least I would love to talk about how this idea came about.
