Mystic Falls a small but bustling town outside of Virginia. In 2003 it is a lively town where everyone knew everyone, as well as their business. In 1864 it was a town full of mystery, forbidden love, and vampires.

You read that right vampires do exist.

The town also came with its fair share of founding families. The Lockwoods, the Gilberts, the Salvatores, and the Mackenzie's.

The Mackenzie's were lost over the years though, they were killed off one by one by the supernaturals of the world. It all begin though with the death of the daughter of Alexandra and Ramon.

Elizabeth Mackenzie was a beautiful young lady, fair skin, red fiery hair, and a heart that knew no hate. That is until she was brutally murdered by Katherine Pierce.

Katherine hated Elizabeth, not due to any valid reason, but only cause she could capture the attention of the Salvatore brothers with no effort while she had to use her compulsion.

What Katherine didn't realize is that Elizabeth would remember her death, and her murderer. Afterall Elizabeth remembered every life she lived, every death, every reason for her death, and who was the most important people to her in every life.

She was originally born a thousand years prior in a small village that was first built in what is now Mystic Falls.

Over the many years she had been reborn after a supernatural death a total of 5 times.

Now she was reborn as none other as Eliza Nicole Gilbert. Daughter of Grayson and Miranda, and sister to Jeremy and Elena.

She thought that those dark days were behind her that maybe she could be free of the supernatural, but unfortunately that wasn't the case for her this time. This time though she would fight back, she was no damsel in distress, this wasn't 1864, and she was prepared.

When she had been reborn she was the oldest child to the Gilberts, next was Elena. and then Jeremy.

Eliza had just turned 18 when the first shivers began. She knew the signs of impending supernatural stirrings. So she prepared.

She began working out building her muscles, taking karate, and boxing classes. She went on frequent shopping trips out of Mystic Falls to gather things she would need. She gathered enough vervain to grow a small patch of it in the backyard, she gave Jeremy a black knotted bracelet with a black hollow gem filled with vervain, and gave Elena a small dainty heart shaped locket she wore daily that contained the herb as well.

This time around she and her family would not be unprepared she would not see her family die again.
