10/05 - Doll
There was a flicker of light drifting in the darkness, and Cavo approached it curiously, a moth drawn to a flame.
As soon as he shifted close enough to brush against that alluring glow, the light erupted and ensnared him, binding him and drawing him out of hiding near violently. Despite how he struggled to free himself, he found he was powerless to do so, the light leeching away all of his strength before he'd even begun to recognize the trap.
The world spun on its axis, and the darkness gave way to something peculiar, the likes of which Cavo had never seen before.
It was a small space, little more than gnarled roots and dirt hollowed out into a makeshift cave. There was firelight, and something wet and honeyed smeared across the walls in a circular pattern, and in the center of it all stood a tall, thin man with pale hair and violet eyes.
"Vow your loyalty to me, primeval beast borne of darkness. In exchange, I shall sate your ravenous hunger, I shall give you a name and a body with which to walk this realm."
Cavo struggled against his bonds, opening his maw wide and unleashing a thunderous growl, baring his oversized fangs as he held the man's eyes. "Release me-"
"You hold no authority here. In this space, I harbor absolute control."
The man took a step closer, lifting one of his hands to show the deep wounds gouged there, and that honeyed scent flooded Cavo's senses, his tongue reaching out to steal a taste. The man allowed it, the tip of Cavo's tongue gliding down the center of his palm and inner wrist, his violet eyes gleaming as he watched.
"Give yourself to me, beast." The man said again, his voice now little more than a soft murmur. "We will be companions, you and I. No longer shall we wander our realms alone, but as two halves of a whole."
A deep, rumbling croon left Cavo's throat as the man pulled back his arm, and he watched Cavo quietly for several long, thoughtful moments before speaking again.
"Vow your loyalty to me, and I will craft you a form with which you may walk amongst the light."
Cavo considered, testing his strength against the binds that held him, looking around the cave curiously before once more meeting the man's eyes. "You wish to use me? To what end."
"As a guardian for protection, and a weapon for revenge."
Cavo growled again, softer this time. He flicked his tongue across his fangs, savoring the aftertaste of the man's blood, and then he ducked his head low, his curved horns raking across the gnarled roots of the ceiling.
"Use me. I am yours."
The man reached out and pressed his palm over Cavo's massive sternum, murmuring under his breath a nameless incantation, then suddenly the circles of runes surrounding them began glowing vivid garnet, and the firelight flickering between them flared wildly before snuffing out.
When Cavo became aware of himself again, he was lying on something warm and soft, the fire nearby crackling softly. He groaned quietly, nuzzling his cheek against the fur bedding as he inhaled slow and deep, gradually rousing from his slumber to push up onto unfamiliar hands.
He looked down at himself, flexing his fingers and turning his hand over, twisting his arm with a curious little frown. What sort of shape was this? He looked almost human, save for the scattered runes tattooed across his dark skin.
"You're awake."
Cavo looked towards the entrance of the den, lifting his hand to shield his eyes from the sunlight, and the man allowed the cloth to fall once again, encasing them both in shadow.
"Try not to move too quickly, I expect you'll break that shell rather easily until you've grown accustomed to your strength."
Cavo watched as the man came to sit beside him, crossing his legs and reaching out towards the fire, letting out a contented sigh. Cavo didn't speak for a moment, then he tried hesitantly with a tongue much smaller than his own.
"W-Who…? Are…?"
"Who am I?" The man asked, chuckling as he offered Cavo what could have been a friendly smile. "My name is Liam, though I must admit I haven't quite come up with a name for you yet." He frowned a little, casting his eyes across the den in a thoughtful manner, "I wonder what you'd like to be called…"
"Ca…vo…" He growled softly, the vibration rumbling all through his throat and the confines of his chest, causing his own heart to beat faster. This new body, this shell Liam had trapped him in, what was it made of? Was it really fragile enough to break?
"Cavo, is it?" Liam hummed, watching his new companion with a curious smile. "My my, what sort of beast are you that you already possess a name? Most spirits I contract with are nameless, and deciding upon one together solidifies our bond. Oh well."
He sighed and reclined back on his hands, looking Cavo's form over appreciatively.
"Once you're feeling a bit stronger, we'll try going outside. In the meantime, it's best to get some rest. I set out a handful of traps just now, once there's fresh meat I'll wake you. Sound good?"
Cavo blinked slowly, unmoving, and so Liam reached out and touched his shoulder, coaxing him to lay back down gently.
"There we are, that's it. Nice, deep breaths. Are you experiencing any pain?"
Cavo shook his head once slowly, and Liam chuckled and nodded, patting Cavo's chest lightly.
"That's good to hear. The binding is still fresh, so it may be a while longer before this body feels more like yours." He shifted his hand up to touch Cavo's face, tracing along his jaw before combing some of his long, dark hair away from his eyes. "Beautiful little doll, aren't you? Your shell is some of my finest work."
Cavo blinked tiredly, and Liam shushed him and carded his long fingers through Cavo's hair again, careful of his horns.
"There, there. That's right, darling. Close your eyes, we'll speak again soon."
Cavo took a deep breath before exhaling slowly, Liam's voice drawing him down into a warm, velvety darkness.
"Rest easy, Cavo. We have all the time in the world."
Liam taught Cavo many things about his new body, which was akin to a human figure, with traits of his own original form. He taught Cavo to walk, then run. How to climb and swim. How to use his strength without tearing apart his body, and on the occasions when Cavo did unintentionally hurt himself, Liam always mended him patiently again.
Cavo never fully understood why Liam had called for him. His declared roles as guardian and vengeful monster were never enacted, for it seemed that Liam was in no hurry to exact his revenge, and quite capable of defending himself when needed.
Instead, Cavo spent his days and nights with Liam simply as a companion. Though the deal they'd struck bound them together beneath a formal contract, Liam never wielded it against Cavo, nor infringed upon his freedom. Where Liam went, Cavo followed, and together they explored the vast, beautiful wilderness.
Cavo was spellbound by the illuminated realm.
As a creature borne of darkness, Cavo had never experienced light. Simple things such as dwindling embers and fading candlelight were just as profound as blazing infernos and brilliant sunlight beaming down from the everblue skies.
Liam was a magus of sorts. He was able to control the elements, perform ancient rites and speak runic incantations, something Cavo learned most humans could not manifest. On the rare occasion that they would cross paths with others traversing the wilds, Liam would shield their presence from human eyes and avoid interacting with them altogether. Cavo was curious about humans, but understood well that his existence in this realm was taboo, and others would fear and distrust him the moment they set eyes on him, even while inhabiting his humanesque shell.
The doll was a living, breathing host, and Cavo an occupying spirit. The creatures Liam had contracted with before had held dolls of their own, though most had been smaller and animalistic in nature. Once their shells had broken, the spirits had been freed, and fled once more to the shadow realm.
Cavo had considered what he would do if his broke and allowed a chance to escape from his contract, but he found the longer he spent at Liam's side the less desire he had to leave. He wanted to be with Liam, he wanted to share their lifetimes together and explore the realm of light. It was bigger and brighter and filled with so many new and wondrous things Liam couldn't begin to imagine leaving it all behind to return to that place of endless dark.
Time trickled by, weeks into months into years, and slowly Cavo's shell began to weather and erode. He dwelt within the doll for as long as he could, until one day Liam settled down beside a small, calm pond of deep, dark water, and bid Cavo to discard his shell.
"Seek shelter within the depths," Liam coaxed calmly, combing his fingers through Cavo's long, dark hair, "so that I may create a new doll, and you shall be safe from the light."
Cavo dipped down to nuzzle Liam's temple, breathing against his soft, pale hair. "Discarding this shell will not release our contract?"
"No," Liam murmured softly, tilting his face up to search Cavo's dark eyes, "So long as you wish to remain bound to me, even without your shell our contract will remain."
Cavo shifted to cup Liam's cheek, growling quietly. "I wish to stay with you."
Liam's expression softened, and he tugged a handful of Cavo's hair gently, coaxing him closer. "Do as I say, and I will craft you such a form that it may last throughout the ages, so you may remain always by my side."
"I wish for that." Cavo crooned softly, nosing Liam's forehead, huffing softly against his warm skin. "Bound to you, forever yours, until eternity greets us."
Cavo released his carefully constrained powers, and as he flexed against the mould the doll cracked and began to shatter. No sooner than Cavo emerged he was sinking down into the depths of the pond and looking up towards the soft blue surface. Liam was peering down at him, smiling as he reached out to touch the water, and Cavo lifted a massive clawed hand towards the surface, settling down into the darkness and mud.
Crafting a new shell would take time, and so Cavo waited patiently while Liam worked. The sun hung high above, then as the hours passed it began to drift towards the west, and the skies took on sunset hues, burnt orange and gold fading into deep ruby and indigo.
Cavo stirred then, rising towards the surface of the water, lifting himself out of the pond and crouching low as he crept closer to Liam, leaving massive clawed footprints in the mud.
Liam didn't look up from his casting as Cavo settled nearby, though a small smile turned up the corners of his lips, soft whispered incantations drifting through the forest, echoes muffled by the tall trees all around them.
In the center of several intricate circles of blood, a body lay peacefully atop a bed of leaves, and each incantation Liam spoke made it appear more lifelike, Cavo inhaling deeply and shivering at the raw magic prickling through the air.
Eventually Liam sighed and lowered his hands, rolling his shoulders and flexing his hands, turning his gaze to Cavo with a smile. "I need to rest a bit before continuing. Can you wait a little longer?"
Cavo crooned and leaned closer, his dark hair cascading around his shoulders and pooling on the ground beneath him, Liam reaching up to cup a hand against his monstrous jaw.
"I'd forgotten for a moment." Liam whispered in a trembling tone, his eyes tracing over Cavo's sharp features; his dark, burning eyes, his oversized fangs, his giant claws. "Just how gargantuan you truly are, in your original form."
Cavo make a soft, curious sound between a growl and a purr, leaning into Liam's touch. "Do I frighten you like this?" He asked, his long tongue lapping across Liam's hand and wrist, his breath hot across Liam's face and throat. "You must know I would never harm you."
"I know." Liam murmured, tugging Cavo down to him, and Cavo lowered his head so he was beneath Liam looking up at him, and Liam smiled and dipped down to press a kiss to one of his great curved horns. "Thank you, for staying. A part of me was afraid that once you had your freedom, you would leave like all the rest."
Cavo shifted, his tongue laving across Liam's chest and up his neck, a deep croon rumbling through him. "I would stay, even if you commanded me to go."
Liam closed his eyes and shivered, and Cavo lapped across his throat again, inhaling deep, listening to his quickened pulse. Liam opened his mouth, and Cavo lapped over his lips and pressed his tongue inside, tasting Liam with a gravely purr.
Liam stripped his blouse off overhead, his fingers tugging at his waistcord until it loosened and his breeches fell around his ankles, kicking them off alongside his boots. Cavo lapped over his chest and stomach, Liam gasping quietly as he cupped Cavo's jaw and allowed him to do as he liked, panting as Cavo's tongue drifted lower to lick between his legs, the soft curve of his thighs and his jutting hipbone.
"Cavo…" Liam murmured softly, wrapping his fingers around a horn for balance, even as Cavo licked down his chest and stomach to taste his arousal again. He sighed contentedly, blinking slowly as he gazed towards the stars, his stomach twisting with heat as Cavo purred and lapped over his cock again and again.
"You taste good." Cavo growled softly, nuzzling Liam's stomach, and Liam hummed and tugged at Cavo's horn, gasping as he felt that tongue curve under his cock to lap between his cheeks. "Here, too. Your scent is stronger, your body feels hot."
"What you're doing feels good," Liam sighed contentedly, closing his eyes and arching lightly as Cavo explored, "Where your tongue is touching, it feels even better for me if you press inside."
"Inside?" Cavo asked, lapping between Liam's legs for a moment longer before withdrawing to lick up the front again. "This taste, it's different. Not as sweet as your blood, but not like your sweat either…"
"It's precum." Liam chuckled, stroking his fingers along Cavo's horn, his other hand tangling in Cavo's dark hair. "It happens when humans become aroused, when they're ready to mate."
Cavo's eyes were burning as he lifted up to meet Liam's eyes, a curious tilt to his head as he asked, "Humans take mates?"
"Sometimes we do," Liam hummed, petting Cavo's jaw, "when we think we've found our special someone. When we want to express our feelings for each other, how much we love and trust them, and yearn to be with them."
Cavo considered for a moment, then asked, "You wish to mate with me?"
Liam laughed at that, his expression fond and amused. "If that's something you'd also enjoy? Then yes, Cavo. I'd like to experience that with you."
Cavo purred and wrapped his fingers around Liam's slim waist, careful with his claws. "I won't hurt you like this?" Cavo asked, his gaze drifting to the doll nearby.
"If there is pleasure with the pain," Liam murmured while petting Cavo's jaw, "I will gladly endure it. I'd like to experience you in this form, if only just once."
Cavo nuzzled into Liam's neck, huffing softly and nipping at his shoulder, careful not to press his fangs too deep, Liam gasping softly while tightening his hold. "I've never taken a mate. What can I do to bring you pleasure?"
"Just as you were." Liam chuckled softly, panting quietly as Cavo lapped across his chest, his tongue dragging across a nipple before drifting down to tease his navel. "Yes, that feels nice. I liked what you were doing before…"
Cavo crooned and ducked down to lap between Liam's thighs, shifting his grip to carefully lower Liam to the ground beneath him, hovering over him and shrouding him in darkness, Liam gasping as Cavo lapped at his cock.
"That's it, darling. Keep touching like that…"
Cavo listened to Liam's breathing, the way his heartbeat quickened and his noises came more frequently, and Liam coaxed him on, guiding when necessary, allowing Cavo to explore and learn. Tension built steadily between them as Cavo slowly but surely brought him to the edge, and Liam moaned sweetly and rutted against Cavo's tongue, crying out as found his release, Cavo huffing as he lapped up Liam's cum.
Liam rested for a moment, enjoying his afterglow, then he slipped a hand between his legs and pressed two fingers between his spit-slicked cheeks, tracing teasing circles around his hole. Cavo watched intently, leaning a little closer to lick where Liam's fingers played, and with whispered encouragements Liam pulled back his fingers and Cavo pressed the tip of his tongue inside, Liam gasping loudly and moaning as he arched eagerly, holding up his legs to give Cavo better access.
"Fuck, you're so big. Even your tongue is nearly too much…"
Cavo pressed a bit further inside, licking and lapping at Liam's tight, clenching walls, Liam gasping and writhing while holding his legs against his chest, his entire face hot as he panted quick, trembling breaths.
"Oh, Cavo. That feels divine. Just a little further, then curl your tongue up-" As soon as Cavo did so, Liam climaxed again with a sharp shout, clenching around his tongue tightly while reaching down to wrap his fingers around his spurting cock. "Fuck! Fuck…"
He stroked himself through the aftershocks, then hummed tiredly and carefully released his legs, resting them on Cavo's shoulders while Cavo lapped at his quivering thighs. "I am glad to please you." Cavo crooned, his breath warm across Liam's exposed skin. "Your taste and scent are succulent, and I quite enjoy hearing you make such sounds."
Liam laughed quietly and tugged Cavo up his body, waiting until the monster was shrouding him completely before coaxing him down for a kiss. Cavo lapped at his lips and dipped inside his mouth, Liam licking and kissing at Cavo's tongue while holding his dark, burning eyes.
"When you're in your new body," Liam murmured, petting Cavo's cheek, "I'll show you other ways humans like to mate."
Cavo nuzzled Liam's cheek, purring as he licked at his fluttering pulse, and Liam rested against Cavo's chest for a while before getting up to return to his work, Cavo watching silently all throughout the night.
In the early hours before dawn, Cavo entered into his new body, and true to his word Liam taught Cavo exactly what it meant for humans to mate.
His new form was a near perfect doll; tall, muscular, beautiful. A body that wouldn't age, nor succumb to the elements or to time. A body fit to house an ancient, immortal spirit. Cavo could tell that even Liam was impressed with his own work.
Liam shivered pleasantly as Cavo's hand glided up one of his thighs, lifting it slowly, Liam arching up for another kiss while guiding Cavo's cock to his wet hole, moaning as Cavo pressed inside. Cavo learned quickly, and it wasn't long before he'd built a quick pace between them, Liam crying out eagerly with each thrust, Cavo panting and moaning as he held Liam's eyes, his entire body trembling as he felt such carnal pleasure for the first time.
"It feels…" Cavo whispered, kissing Liam's fingertips and palm, nuzzling against his wrist, "It feels…"
"I know," Liam whispered between gasps and breathless whines, his nails digging into Cavo's shoulders, "It feels amazing, it's so good…"
He yelped sharply as Cavo bumped against his prostate, and Cavo gripped his hips roughly and thrust against it again, and again. Liam cried out and tossed back his head, Cavo growling and licking up his throat, nipping his neck and shoulder while thrusting in quick little jerks right against that spot that had Liam practically screaming.
"Oh fuck! Fuck fuck fuck, I'm-!"
Cavo watched his expressions twisting, Liam's mouth opening into a pretty Oh~ as Cavo pushed him over the edge, and as he choked on a pleasured sob Cavo kissed him, hugging him tightly as he tumbled along after.
For a few blissful moments, Cavo's vision was filled with blinding white light.
When he returned to his senses, he was panting shakily against Liam, his head cradled against Liam's chest, his ear pressed over his drumming heartbeat. He tried to move, but Liam hummed and shushed him gently, combing his fingers through Cavo's hair and flitting warm fingertips against his horns.
"I never thought I'd find you." Liam whispered, dipping to press a kiss to Cavo's crown. "I never want to be apart from you, I want to stay together for the rest of our lives."
"We will." Cavo whispered, pressing a kiss over Liam's fluttering heart. "Since the moment we met, I have always been yours."
Liam smiled and chuckled softly, and Cavo lifted his head to meet Liam's eyes, brushing away the tears caught in his pale lashes.
"And I am yours."
