Samantha Carter opened up her eyes she felt pain. She didn't know what happened, couldn't remember. Smelling the clean air from the infirmary she wasn't sure how she got here.

Hadn't she been home with Jack?

Jack.

He came to visit her this weekend. Came to visit his wife.

They had looked forward to the weekend. It was long overdue. Nearly 6 weeks hadn't they seen each other.

He was held up in Washington and she was busy in her lab and that last long mission.

As she woke more and more it all seemed to coming back to her.

They had a wonderful dinner, played a game of chess before they went to bed.

She remembered waking up with a stabbing pain in her abdomen. She cried out loud what causes Jack to wake up.

They instantly knew something was wrong, Sam was bleeding. A lot of blood. Jack panicked and grabbed her. He carried her to his car and drove as fast as he could.

At the mountain a medical team were already waiting at the surface. She didn't know why, she assumed Jack had called them while she tried to get her panic attack under control.

After that. Nothing.

She looked around the room and saw Jack. He was sleeping in a chair close by.

Her movements woke him and he reached out for her.

Sam's questioning look was all it took, his eyes glistening with tears that started to fall down his cheeks.

If Jack O'Neill was crying it had to be bad.

"You lost it. Well, we lost it."

Sam couldn't stop her tears from falling either. "I'm sorry!" she sobbed.

"Hey, it's not your fault. Nothing we could have done differently."

"But because of me you have to experience that pain again and therefore I'm sorry."

"Sam, we're in this together. It's not just about me. We lost our baby. Not only you and not only me. We'll deal with this together and we'll pull through."

He looked her deep into her now dark blue eyes. His soft brown ones encouraged her that it would be ok, it will get better.

"I love you, Sam. And someday we will make this miracle happen. It's just not now."

She buried her head in the kroke of his neck and hugged him as tight as she could and then looked up.

"I love you, too. We'll be parents someday. I promise."

And with a kiss she sealed her promise to him.
