Three weeks after stopping Rezzoch, Jack and the others were all sleeping in the tree house when Jack suddenly started tossing in his sleep.
"No, leave me alone," said Jack.
"Stop!" he yelled while suddenly jerking himself awake, sweat pouring from his face as he breathed heavily. The inside of the treehouse was still slightly dark as the sun had not fully risen yet in the distant horizon.
"Jack, what happened?!" asked Quint as he and the others were awoken by his yelling, believing they were under attack and quickly grabbing their weapons which were nearby.
"It… it was nothing, just a nightmare is all," said Jack.
"Sorry for waking all of you," he said.
"Don't even try that on us, we can tell that it was not just a nightmare," said June who stood there with her arms crossed.
"Alright, it was a nightmare involving Rezzoch," said Jack.
"He… he said that he was coming for me and that I have a purpose in his new plan," he said with a worried expression.
"It was just a dream," said Dirk.
"Let's not forget that we now live in a world where magic is real and monsters are around every corner," said Quint.
"It may have actually been Rezzoch trying to play some kind of mind game on you," he said while looking at his friend.
"But you shouldn't worry, because you have all of us here," said June, who knelt down and placed a hand on Jack's shoulder to reassure him.
"Yeah, we already beat him once and we'll do it again," said Dirk.
"Thanks everyone," said Jack with a smile.
"And seeing how we're all up, does anyone want to head out to the diner to get some breakfast?" he asked to which everyone agreed. Meanwhile, in the sewers below the town.
"My power is slowly growing in this realm," came a voice from a zombie that laid on the ground which had a slight blue glow coming from its eyes.
"I must feed more before I can get a new host," it said while standing.
