Summary
Elena is blasted into the past by a spell gone wrong by a mysterious old lady aka a witch. She wasn't in any time period like the '80s or the 50's she was sent to 1864 to be exact. Little did they both know this had been fate to land in the past. But will Elena stop Katherine? What will happen when they find out she's from the past? What will Elena do?Notes
I've been wanting to do this fanfiction ever since I started writing Stelena fanfics. Before I wrote a lot of Star Wars time travel fanfics so you can see why I wanted to! I love them so much! I also haven't found any completed or Stelena-related ones. So I decided to take this into my own hands and write my own. I hope you enjoy it! I thought for the spell of the incantation it should be in Latin or a different language since on Wikipedia it looks to be Latin or another language. I don't know Latin or other languages please don't be mad if the Wikipedia incantation isn't Latin I wasn't sure. Also, I hope the Latin is on point I used google translate. Hopefully, if you can read Latin it's spelled correctly. Anyways, I picked Latin because I thought it was cool! I know the first chapter is short but this is how I visioned it, so hopefully, you all like it and doesn't lack too much detail!1864 (A Stelena Fanfiction)
Bonnie had found this interesting spell. But the weird part was she hasn't seen this one before. She had looked through Emily's Grimoire thousands of times before now. She was completely confused about how she didn't see it before. It was like magic, it magically appeared out of nowhere.
This seemed odd but it also felt different. She couldn't help but be curious and suspicious at the same time. She didn't know what to think about all of this so she decided to call her best friends to talk to about the spell. Elena Gilbert and Caroline Forbes.
You may be wondering what this spell entails right? The spell incantation states "Translatio in alium locum..." ("The transfer to another place...") But the last part of the incantation was faded.
I'll let you in on a little secret the faded words say or time. Aka "Translatio in alium locum vel temps." (The transfer to another place or time.)
Bonnie sat cross-crossed on her bed as she took one last look at the spell. She softly ran her pointing finger over the words. Pondering to herself trying to figure out what was going on.
She looked over to her at her nightstand and grabbed her phone dialing Elena's number. Her phone started to buzz as she waited for Elena to pick up. After about 10 seconds she picked up and said "Oh, hey Bonnie." Elena said, nonchalantly.
"I need your help, Elena," Bonnie said with a hint of urgency. "Yeah, sure what do you need?" Elena asked. "Do you mind coming over to my house? I found this weird spell." Bonnie said looking down at the Grimoire.
"Of course, I'll help! I'll be there at 5. Okay, don't worry I'm sure it'll be okay." Elena said optimistically. "Do you think you could text Caroline to come to, I have a feeling this is serious," Bonnie said truthfully.
"Yeah sure don't worry Bonnie," Elena said, but now she was worried. She hung up after she said that.
? Care ?
E: can you meet me at Bonnie's house she said it's important.
C: yeah, everything okay?
E: I'm not entirely sure she's okay but it's about a spell She says it's urgent.
C: Okay, I'll see you soon!
A few minutes later at the Bennett house
DING DONG. The doorbell rang and Bonnie went to the front door to invite them in. Elena and Caroline walked through the door together. "Is everything okay?" Caroline asked worriedly. "Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. I mean I'm fine but this spells rubs me the wrong way." The three girls looked at each other worryingly.
They head towards Bonnie's room to find the Grimoire glowing. They all stop at the doorway, with a look of shock. "Why is it glowing?!" Caroline and Elena asked in unison. "Uh, i-I don't know," Bonnie said honestly.
Suddenly the few candles Bonnie had in her room lit up. "What's going?" Elena questioned.
"I don't know! But whatever it is we need to get out of here!" Bonnie said quickly, but before they could move they were pushed by the carpet from under their feet into Bonnie's room. "What the heck!?" They all said in unison. They looked up to a sweet older lady. She smiled at Elena. "
I have to do this Ms. Gilbert. Remember to stop Katherine from turning the Salvatores, Stefan will need you after all you are his true love and his rock. Stop Katherine from turning them, you'll understand in time. Good luck ." Before she could do anything the old lady muttered the incantation raising her hand as she held the Grimoire and said "Translatio in alium locum vel temps." "The transfer to another place or time." And with that Elena disappeared to 1864.
