Note This takes place some time before the avalanche was formed. This is done so that shinra wouldn't be losing things to avalanche. It also takes place somewhere when sephiroth was young like in ever crisis. Also when I talk about guards or grunts of shinra I think of these guys

Midgar is a place full of homeless, sleazy businessmen, and corruption. Nearly every corner you go around has someone you wished to never meet. Like all of the patrols made by the Shinra electric company's private military, easily identified by their blue hood looking helmets (they are the original ff7 guard design). Bumping into one might earn you imprisonment, beating, or if you're lucky nothing but a grunt of annoyance. But today in the ever repeating days of boring something new was about to happen.

Shinra guard 1: "what the hell is a stone arch doing here? It wasn't approved to be built here."

Shinra guard 2: well whatever it is something is coming through it

Then something unexpected happened: men with primitive equipment came through then after yelling in a language no one knew went on the attack.

Shinra guard 1: "oh damn!"

Shinra guard 2: "all units converge on this position we have invaders. We might need a SOLDIER."

In the end, the only one left alive from the invading force was believed to be a general; he was taken in for questioning.

Some time later

President shinra: "so we are going to invade this land on the other side. Are we all in agreement?"

All but one shinra executive says their own forms of agreement.

Reeve: I agree but only a little we still need to make houses for-"

President shinra: "So we are all in agreement."

Hojo: "well of course we can see what this new world offers in biology."

Scarlet: "my side of things might even make new weapons from new experiences."

Heidegger: "we might even get better training for my guards."

Reeves: "we could move all the mako reactors to the other side so tha-"

President shinra: of course we're going to move new mako reactors to the other side. Hell we might have found the promised land. So prepare for the chance to live in luxury. Now let's get some troops moving along with some of SOLDIER.

Hojo: "well we can send sephiroth to make sure that we get to claim land there."

Later

Sephiroth pov

I was in a truck traveling with the two guards who were at the gate invasion. They were talking amongst themselves about random nonsense until one of them said something that could be a good idea

Shinra guard 1: "hey you know the sister ray."

Shinra guard 2: "the giant mako cannon that could possibly destroy all of midgar if aimed right. Who doesn't know about it."

Shinra guard 1: "well what if we build a new mako cannon in this new world and call it brother ray?"

Shinra guard 2: "you might be onto something there."

I stopped listening. Then I got a notification that we had crossed the gate into the new world and that there were hostiles. So I left the truck causing the two guards to sit at attention until I got out then. When I left I noticed that we were on top of a small grassy hill with fields nearby along with a small army. I went to the front of our forces and seeing the army we were against I was … disappointed they all seemed weak and none of them had a single materia on them. So I used max power fire Gaga and burned them all to ash. Then I returned to the truck.

The two guards were still talking about the brother ray idea but how to add more guns on it. The impression I got about these two was that the first one would randomly think of good and really bad ideas while the other is more professional but supports the first one ideas. I wouldn't be surprised if they thought taping guns to a helmet would be a good idea.

3rd pov

There were a few raids after but all of them ended poorly with all of the army's dying. The two guards were either brave enough or dumb enough to tell the leader of weapons making scarlet about the brother ray idea. Surprisingly it was accepted they were offered a lot of Gil to go into some testing with Hojo almost everyone bet they were going to die but the two idiots barely even cared.

POV scouting team

A scouting team made up of grunts and one soldier class 1 was sent to learn more about the surroundings when they found a giant fire using a telescope they looked to see what caused the fire and what the found disappointed the first class. A dragon. A new species but it didn't even seem that strong so they decided to leave. But they didn't notice the squad of men covered in green clothes looking at both them and the dragon.

POV construction

These are the plans. Check to see if this planet has mako, second make enough mako reactors to power midgar and more for a giant laser and military base. Then an optional idea: find out how to put a giant gun with explosive ammo then put it on top of a copy of sister ray without it melting when brother ray is fired. Considering if they put the gun on they would get more Gil they decided to do so but still easier said than done. They would need a lot of workers and a lot of materia to get this done quickly. Thankfully Shinra was more than willing to get more workers for this project. Brother ray will be ready far faster than sister ray ever was. If this planet has any WEAPON's they would be ready.

Sephiroth pov

The base has been building up quite well after three weeks most of the Mako reactors were already finished and already making whole loads of mako energy. It was almost as if mako was the all parts of the planet instead of just the blood of it.

I was currently scouting around our base since I had no current commands. Then something happened: the red dragon the scouts had reported about landed in front of sephiroth. This dragon had lucky timing coming a few years before sephiroth's peak but it was still in for a major ass kicking and a major ass kicking it got. multiple Materia was used on it and multiple slashes it didn't get the chance to fight so it decided to run.

I was disappointed this dragon wasn't all that powerful while it was more durable than some he faced. Its fire was completely useless against him. The beings in this world are very weak.
