Inside the Mess Hall safe house, everyone finishes up resting and checking their weapons and ammunition. With Francis starting to think about food the moment Snowden tells him which part of the ship they are in.

Francis: Hey, this place smells kinda good. Where are we, Snow'?

Snowden: The Mess Hall. The place where the people of this ship come to eat.

Louis: Nice! I only wish there's some food here though.

Snowden: Yeah, would've been nice. Guess they cleaned out when the shit hit the fan.

Francis: I'd love a big juicy cheeseburger and a can of cold beer right now.

Snowden: Mmm, a large meatlover's pizza and a cookies and cream milkshake.

Zoey: Lasagna and iced tea. Always helped when I'm down on my luck.

Louis: Steak rib eye and a glass of champagne. And I only have that in my best days. *kisses*

All: *laughing*

After reminiscing about their favorite food and drink, Snowden leads the way out of the Mess Hall and into what looks like one of the hangar bays of the Nimitz.

Snowden: Let's roll. Stay frosty.

Zoey: So, where are we now?

Snowden: Hangar Bay 1, we're one or two staircases away from the Flight Deck.

Louis: Can we take that elevator instead? It is an elevator, right?

Snowden: Hold on.

click click click click*

Snowden: Damn, no joy. Controls are busted. We're gonna have to take the stairs.

Francis: Everybody be extra careful. Don't wanna shoot ourselves or get jumped again.

Snowden: Good thinking.

Two minutes of squeezing through tight spaces, climbing the stairs, and taking out a few Commons and Uncommons later, the survivors feel the breeze and reach the Flight Deck.

Louis: *exhales* Outside.

Francis: Yeah. I hate tight spaces.

Zoey: Highway to the Danger Zone...

Snowden: Ride into the Danger Zone...

Zoey: *laughs* Nice.

Snowden: Mm-hmm. Now, to the CEDA tents on the other side of this flaming mess. That's where the Anti-Carrier Luminal Agents will be.

Louis: Can we use my Bile Bomb to extinguish this fire?

Snowden: Doesn't have enough puke to put all of it out. Save that Bile Bomb.

Louis: Okay. Oh, one more thing. What happens if the Agents aren't there?

Snowden: Then we check the Bridge. We service members are huge believers in contingencies, especially the officers in charge. Which means they'll have spare Luminal Agents with them.

Zoey: Here's hoping.

Snowden: Watch out for Chargers and Tanks up here.

With the wreckage of destroyed aircraft and burning plane fuel all over the place, the group has to go through a winding path in order to reach the CEDA tents on the other side. After killing a mix of 30 sailors, CEDA Agents and Marine Zombies, one Jockey, and one Charger, they make it to the CEDA tents.

Snowden: Get out of the way!

Charger Voice*

Charger Death*

Snowden: Good luck swimming.

gunfire*

Jockey Voice*

Francis: Ahhh! A little vampire's on me!

Jockey Death*

Snowden: Jock meets Linebacker!

gunfire stops*

Zoey: *giggles*

Snowden: Yeah, not my best insult for those crafty little bastards. Just took it from my high school football Linebacker days.

While going through all of them, they come across empty Anti-Carrier Luminal Agent Containers. But before they move on to the Bridge, Snowden and Zoey find something interesting and sinister.

Zoey: Oh, God. Please don't tell me this Freddy Kruger-looking thing is a new zombie.

Snowden: Wish I could tell you, but I have never seen this before. Hmm, rats? Must've been animal control or some sort of rat-catching specialist in a past life. Quite the scribbles.

Zoey: Yeah, I think I can tell how this movie ends.

Snowden: Maybe. Whatever CEDA has been messing with, I can say for sure that they didn't want their best field asset to know about it. At least not yet.

Zoey: Best field asset. You?

Snowden: *sighs* Yep.

After remembering and immediately forgetting his regrets about his connection to CEDA, Snowden grabs the drawings and keeps them in his bag in case they will be needed. This gets Zoey feeling a little uneasy, but she then snaps out of it when Francis lets everyone know what he and Louis found.

Francis: Guys! We got nothing but empty boxes.

Snowden: Then the Bridge is our next stop. This way.

A minute of going around another burning line of wrecked F/A-18 Hornets later, Snowden, Zoey, Francis and Louis find the first deck of the aircraft carrier's island, now converted into a safe house. But as they approach it, they hear some labored breathing coming from inside.

Unsure of what is making them, they proceed slowly and ready to pounce on whoever, or whatever, is in there. By the door, Snowden scans the dark room with the flashlight of his Bullpup Rifle and finds a type of person who he thinks is already dead or far away from here.

Snowden: U.S. Army! U.S—

Navy Officer: Wait, don't shoot! Don't shoot! Please, I'll comply!

Snowden: Woah, easy! Take it easy, ma'am. Everyone, weapons down.

A white, brown haired, brown eyed female U.S. Navy officer. A Lieutenant Commander, to be specific.

Navy Officer: (quietly) Oh, shit. Oh, shit. Oh, shit. Oh, shit.

Snowden: What? What is it?

Navy Officer: (quietly) *hushes* Not so loud. They could hear us.

Snowden: (quietly) Alright. Just take a deep breath and calm down. We can help you. Got a name, Lieutenant Commander?

Navy Officer: (quietly) *exhales* Lieutenant Commander Brianna Cooper. Navigator of the USS Nimitz.

Snowden: (quietly) Captain Matthew Snowden. 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.

Zoey: (quietly) I'm Zoey. Just a civilian.

Louis: (quietly) I'm Louis, also a civilian.

Francis: (quietly) I'm Francis, a badass biker.

Brianna: (quietly) Nice to meet you. But you don't look like the average trooper, Captain.

Snowden: (quietly) Sorry, Halloween costume. Was in the middle of a party when The Infection hit. *shows dog tags* But I'm real, don't worry.

Brianna: (quietly) Look, I'm sorry. Y'all seem like nice people, but you can't be here. I don't wanna get you guys killed.

Snowden: (quietly) Brianna, it's okay. Besides, we need to get to the Bridge to acquire some Anti-Carrier Luminal Agents. You're more than welcome to join us when we're done here. Can you open the door, please?

Brianna nods and unlocks the safe house slowly and quietly.

Francis: (quietly) Listen, Brianna. Whatever vampire it is you got in there, I'll kill them all, no problem.

Brianna: (quietly) Huh? No, you don't understand. It's not the zombies, it's—

explosion*

foreign words echoing*

Brianna: Shit!

All of a sudden, there is an explosion on the right side of the Island. And as Snowden and Brianna try to coordinate, things get bad from worse as the unfriendly voices get closer.

Snowden: Zoey, Louis, keep an eye on that direction! Brianna, open the door!

Brianna completely unlocks the safe house door*

Snowden: *pats Francis down* Heads down!

AK-47 and Tactical Shotgun fire*

Three hostile foreigners in civilian clothes shoot through the safe house door's gaps while kidnapping Brianna.

Brianna: *grunts* NO!

Foreign Hostile 1: (accented) No escape for you, whore!

P220 Pistol fire*

Brianna: *screams* (echoing) HELP ME, CAPTAIN!!!

Francis: Nooo!

Snowden: *kicks the door open* Get in!

While Snowden and Francis breach and clear the safe room, Zoey and Louis get an unpleasant surprise from four more armed unknowns.

Zoey: Hey! Survivors!

Louis: Hello there!

Zoey: *gasp* Watch out!

Bile Bomb shatters*

Louis: Ugh! Did they just throw a Bile Bomb at me!?

Left 4 Dead 1 horde screeching*

Barrett M107 fire*

Zoey: Dammit! Those guys are getting away, Snowden! What do we do?!

Snowden: Do NOT go after them! Help Louis get inside, a horde is coming! Lock the door and fight them from here! Francis, get behind me. We're going after Brianna.

Francis: I'm here, let's go.

While Zoey and Louis fight off the incoming horde from the safe house, Snowden and Francis quickly check every room and rapidly move up every deck of the Island for Brianna. As they get closer, the foreign hostiles get more violent and the Lieutenant Commander gets louder.

Brianna: *muffled crying*

Foreign Hostile 2: *yelling in foreign language*

Foreign Hostile 1: Americans, you are making great mistake! Go away now!

Francis: Listen, candy ass! You better not kill our little lady friend or I'm gonna blow you to bits!

Foreign Hostile 3: *yelling in foreign language*

Brianna: CAPTAIN! FRANCIS! THE BRIDGE! HE— *screaming in pain*

Upon entering the Bridge, Francis shoots a foreign hostile's stomach and chest wide open. Snowden headshots another and then shoves the last one, the English-speaking one, back and implaes him with his Chainsaw.

Then the two turn to Brianna, all mangled and disemboweled, with very few clothing covering her body. But despite the pain she is in, the Lieutenant Commander still points out where the Anti-Carrier Luminal Agents are.

Brianna: In there, the Agents. Don't forget the syringes. *coughs*

Snowden: *equips First Aid Kit* Hang in there, Brianna. You can make—

Brianna: *holds Snowden's First Aid Kit* No, don't waste it, Captain. It's too late for me. Just take the vaccines and go. *coughs* I wish I could tell you more... about... them. (the last breath)

Lieutenant Commander Brianna Cooper dies.

Francis: Dammit. She didn't deserve this.

Snowden: *closes Brianna's eyes* Thank you for helping us, ma'am. We won't forget you. Rest easy with God, your friends and family now. *grabs Brianna's dog tags*

After paying his respects, Snowden takes his American flag from his kit and covers Brianna's body with it. Then he stands up, salutes her and readies Francis before getting the Anti-Carrier Luminal Agents.

Snowden: Time to go, Francis. Come on, let's make sure she didn't die for nothing.

Francis: Sorry about Brianna, man.

Snowden: Me too, brother.

The Army Ranger then takes sixteen small bottles of Anti-Carrier Luminal Agents from their glass case and sixteen syringes nearby. He then places them in a metal First Aid box and secures it in his backpack.

With what everyone came for now in possession, Snowden takes Francis back to the safe house.

Snowden: Go on, Francis. I'll cover.

safe house door closes*

Snowden: Who the hell were those three assholes?

We're safe... for now.
