In the Solana Galaxy, three jets were flying in a straight course through space. One jet, colored in purple, made a complaint, as well as questioned his current assignment.
"Ugh. I'm bored. We've been flying for hours. What are we doing out here, again, Starscream?" Asked the bored jet.
"Because Megatron wants to know the status of Blitzwing, and that triple changing fool hasn't returned nor contacted on for a long time." Replied Starscream.
"What a cowardly fool Megatron was. If I were leader of the Decepticons, I would have finished Prime and not waste any time talking while fighting. I would not be wounded and be forced to retreat like Megatron. But someday, all that will change. Soon the Decepticons will be mine to rule!" Thought the egotistical red jet.
"Thundercracker! Any luck locking on to Blitzwing's energon signature yet?" Starscream asked the blue colored jet to his right.
"Yes, but the signal's very faint. It's coming from that planet that just came to our view." Answered Thundercracker as they come up on planet Veldin.
"That dust ball is where Blitzwing is? Man I hate deserts." Complained Skywarp.
"Silence your whining, Skywarp and let's get down there!" Barked Starscream before the Decepticon jets descended upon the planet.
It didn't take long for the three jets to descended from the skies of Veldin. They flew straight across deserts and rocky terrains and even small towns, the sounds of their engines so loud they could be heard for about a mile.
"Nothing here but sand, dusty mountains, and tiny settlements populated by pests." Said Starscream. "Thundercracker, how far is the signal?"
"We should be coming up to it right about now, Starscream." Answered Thundercracker.
The Decepticons soon hovered lower to the ground and transformed to their robot forms. And they found the source of the signal, or rather what's left of it.
"Holy Primus, what the hell happened to Blitzwing?" Said a shocked Skywarp.
"The fool failed, that's what happened!" Barked Starscream.
What lay before Starscream and his comrades are the scrapped remains of the triple changer Blitzwing. Nothing left but scraps and bits and pieces of the Decepticon. The only things still intact are his head, and a shiny metallic sphere like object. The head looked like as if Blitzwing is still stuck with great fear or in excruciating agony.
"It's a miracle his head and transformation cog survived." Said Thundercracker.
"Take them and see if you can access Blitzwing's memory core and find out what happened here." Commanded Starscream.
"Roger that, Starscream." Replied Thundercracker as he walked over to the wreckage and retrieved the head and cog.
"Why bring the cod though?" Asked Skywarp.
"Because Blitzwing was a triple changer, so his transformation cog is unique. It may be of some use to us." Answered Starscream.
Thundercracker held up the head of Blitzwing and held his wrist at the side of his head to began scanning his preserved memories. After a a few minutes, he stopped. Starscream and Skywarp turned to look at him.
"What did you find in his memory banks?" Starscream asked.
"There was a battle here alright. He engaged the Autobot known as Bumblebee. But the enemy was not alone." Explained Thundercracker.
"Are you saying Bumblebee had help?!" Asked Skywarp.
"Yes. Buts it's better if I show these memories to Megatron, not here." Said Thundercracker.
"Fine. Bring Blitzwing's head and his transformation cog. We must return and report back to Megatron." Said Starscream. "Decepticons, transform and return to base!"
Starscream and the other two Decepticons transformed into their jet forms and flew away from Veldin's atmosphere to space and set a course back to Decepticon headquarters.
Meanwhile, at the Nemesis crash site, the Decepticon headquarters, two Seekers were fearfully standing before Megatron, who glared at them from his command chair. He had just been told of Thrust and Dirge's failure to intercept and destroy the Aerialbots, as well as Ramjet's destruction, and the Decepticon warlord was not pleased at all.
"You incompetent fools! You and Ramjet had nine Seekers under your command and you were bested by the Autobots!?" Yelled Megatron.
"It was not our fault, Lord Megatron! The Aerialbots had help! A team of Lylatian mercenaries aided them in our defeat!" Dirge said fearfully.
"It's true! Those little pests were small but formidable! One of them aided Silverbolt in taking out Ramjet!" Pleaded Thrust.
"Silence! And get out of my sight! I will deal with you two later!" Megatron yelled menacingly and Dirge and Thrust fearfully left the command center.
Megatron sat back in his command chair with a sigh. He began to think deeply.
"If my enemies made allies, things could get complicated." Thought Megatron. "But if the legends are true, I shall use the tools of the thirteen to destroy them all! And use the Allspark to raise a new army of Decepticons to conquer the universe!"
The Decepticon leader pressed a few buttons on his chair.
"Yes, Lord Megatron?" A voice on the intercom asked.
"Scrapper, status report on the repairs." Commanded Megatron
"Engines are still scrapped, Megatron. Some major hull damage still need closing. But we need new parts and fresh energon if we're ever gonna flying out of here. But my team and I are doing the best they can." Replied Scrapper.
"Keep working! I want an update in twenty four hours!" Megatron barked before pressing a button on the chair, ending the call.
"Lord Megatron, Starscream and his Seekers are inbound." Said Soundwave sitting in front of a radar computer.
"They better have some savory news for me." Said Megatron.
Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker soon made it to the bridge and stood before Megatron. They told Megatron the fate of Blitzwing and as expected, Megatron was not happy.
"What!? Blitzwing was destroyed by an Autobot scout and two vermin?!" Yelled Megatron.
"I'm afraid so, Megatron. This is all that's left of him." Thundercracker explained as he pulled out the fallen Decepticons head and Transformation cog.
"Take the cog to the lab. It will come in handy. As for the head, bring it to Soundwave so he could plug it in to the main computer. I want to see last moments of his incompetence life." Ordered Megatron.
Thundercracker did as he ordered. Soundwave plugged a violet cord into the back of Blitzwing's head and typed on the keyboard.
"Please forgive us, Lord Megatron!" Pleaded Skywarp.
Megatron leaned forward, narrowing his eyes menacingly.
"The price for failure is my wrath. But the failure is Blitzwing's, not yours. And he is lucky he is already dead by Autobot hands because had he survived, he would be facing a far worse fate at my hands or Shockwave's if he were here. Never forget this." Threatened the Decepticon leader.
"We understand, Lord Megatron." Said Starscream.
"Megatron, I have now accessed the memory banks." Said Soundwave.
"Bring up the screen. I want to see it." Ordered Megatron.
A large screen lowered from the ceiling a few feet in front of Megatron and it flickered to life. It soon began to show Blitzwing's final moments in the latter's perspective. As Megatron watched the fight with Bumblee, he leaned forward in interest. His red eyes narrowed as video then showed the Lombax Ratchet and his small robot companion, Clank, damage the Decepticon. Megatron frowned when he got to the end where Bumblebee planted a grenade in the triple changer's damaged chest and fired at it.
"So this Autobot had help as well? This fur covered creature aiding seemed formidable." Thought Megatron. "I wonder if he has any enemies himself? And I wonder if the Aerialbot's allies have any as well? Something we can use to our advantage." Megatron smiled.
Suddenly, the Nemesis alarm blared loudly.
"Megatron, I detected two ships coming out of orbit. They will soon decent on us." Said Soundwave.
Megatron rose from his command chair. The rest of the Decepticons scrambled to their posts.
"Decepticons! Prepare for battle! Capture the vessels!" Commanded as he marched out of the command center.
Man, Megatron can get pretty pissy when it comes to bad news. But has now learned about Star Fox and Ratchet and Clank.
But the Nemesis is now about to be visited! But by who? Well that's for me to know and you to find out.
Note: I'm glad I was able to get this done just in time for the upcoming Death Battle episode with Megatron.
