Tapu Koko, the Z-Ring, and Calling Home.

After Lincoln got done hanging out at the beach, he heads back to Iki Town and has dinner with Kahuna Hala and Hau.

"Lincoln; tomorrow morning, I'll show you exactly where Professor Kukui's lab is." said Kahuna Hala.

"Thank you, sir." said Lincoln.

"And we're also thinking that you can stay with us while you're here in Alola." said Kahuna Hala.

"Really?" replied Lincoln.

"Sure, it's not like you really know a lot of people here, and we have some extra beds." said Kahuna Hala.

"Thank you." said Lincoln. "I never thought about living arrangements for while I'm staying here."

"You're quite welcome, Lincoln." said Kahuna Hala. Later that night, after everyone was done eating, Lincoln decides to take a walk around the village to get some fresh tropical air. It was quiet since everyone was in their homes, so Lincoln was enjoying the break from the noise of the Loud House.

'It sure is nice of Kahuna Hala to let me stay with him and Hau while I'm here.' Lincoln thought to himself. 'And I can't wait to start learning about Pokemon tomorrow.'

As he nears the stage near Kahuna Hala's place, he sees something floating above it.

"What's that?" asked Lincoln. He quietly approaches the stage and sees the Pokemon that was watching him earlier from the jungle, looking up at the sky. "Is that a Pokemon?" He observes it before reaching into his back pocket for his Rotom Phone, only to realized he wore his swim trunks instead of his pants, so he didn't have the Rotom Phone with him.

"I must've left it at Kahuna Hala's house." Lincoln says to himself. He quickly looks over at Kahuna Hala's house for a second, then back at the stage to see that the Pokemon wasn't there anymore. "Where did it go?" As he looks around, he feels a presence behind him. He turns and was surprised to see the Pokemon he saw, looking right at him.

"Whoa!" says Lincoln as he jumps back a bit. The Pokemon floats around him, as if it was checking him out. It then gets close to Lincoln and looks him straight in the eyes. After a minute, it backs away and puts the beak parts of his mask half arm guards close to together and starts gathering energy between them.

"What are you doing?" Lincoln nervously asked. A few seconds later, the energy forms into a white bracelet. The Pokemon slightly nudges it, and it floats over to Lincoln. Lincoln looks at the bracelet, then at the Pokemon, who nods at him. Not knowing what else to do, Lincoln grabs the bracelet and examines it. When he looks back at the Pokemon, he was surprised to see that it wasn't there.

"Where did it go?" asked Lincoln. He looks around for a minute before deciding he can think about it later. He heads back to Kahuna Hala's house and goes inside to see him and Hau on the couch, watching TV. They turn towards him when they hear him come inside.

"Alola, Lincoln." said Kahuna Hala. "How was your walk?"

"It was...interesting?" replied Lincoln.

"What was interesting about it?" asked Kahuna Hala.

"Well, I saw some sort of Pokemon at that stage near the house." said Lincoln.

"What Pokemon was it?" asked Kahuna Hala.

"I didn't have my pokedex with me, so I couldn't learn which one it was." said Lincoln.

"What did this Pokemon look like?" asked Kahuna Hala. Lincoln looks around and sees a notebook and pencil on a nearby table and uses it to draw a detailed picture of the Pokemon he saw. When he finished, he shows it to Kahuna Hala and Hau, getting stunned looks on their faces.

"You saw Tapu Koko?!" asked Kahuna Hala.

"Tapu Koko?" asked Lincoln.

"Yeah! Tapu Koko's the guardian deity here on Melemele Island!" said Hau.

"Cool." said Lincoln.

"Did Tapu Koko see you?" asked Hau.

"Yeah." said Lincoln.

"What did he do?" asked Kahuna Hala.

"He gave me this." said Lincoln before taking the bracelet he got from Tapu Koko out of his pocket and shows it to them. Kahuna Hala was surprised.

"Tapu Koko gave you a Z-Ring?!" exclaimed Kahuna Hala.

"Is that what this is?" asked Lincoln.

"Yes." said Kahuna Hala. "It allows a person to use Z-Moves with their Pokemon." said Kahuna Hala.

"What are Z-Moves?" asked Lincoln.

"I'm pretty certain that Professor Kukui will be able to explain all that this weekend." said Kahuna Hala. "In the meantime, we should all be getting to bed." Realizing that it was getting late, Lincoln took a shower, brushed his teeth with a toothbrush he got in Hau'oli City earlier, and went to bed.

The next morning, Lincoln was in the kitchen, cleaning the dishes after he and the others finished breakfast, while his Litten was standing on the counter, watching him.

"You don't have to do that, Lincoln." said Kahuna Hala.

"You're letting me stay with you; it's the least I can do." said Lincoln. Kahuna Hala nods in approval before a thought enters his mind.

"Lincoln, did you ever call your family yesterday?" asked Kahuna Hala. Lincoln's eyes widen as he realized that he didn't. He quickly takes his Rotom Phone out of his pocket and uses it to connect with his sister Lisa's laptop via video chat.

Back in Royal Woods; the rest of Lincoln's family were in Lisa's room in front of a large screen showing a map of the world. Lisa was working on her laptop that had her tracking device hooked to it.

"I can't believe you put tracking chips in all of us, young lady." said Rita Loud. "But, since this could help us find out where Lincoln is, I'll let it slide this one time."

"Just give me a minute to link my tracking device with the world's satellite system and we should be able to track Lincoln's location." said Lisa as she inputs a key sequence into her laptop.

"Well, hurry up; we need to find Lincoln so we can bring him home." said Lori. Just then, a notification to a video chat request appears on her laptop.

"Who could be calling me?" asked Lisa. "Probably that army general asking for progress on my superhuman formula again."

"Well, tell him to call back later!" said Lola. Lisa answers the call, expecting to see an army representative, but was surprised to see Lincoln's face instead.

"Brother?!" exclaimed Lisa, getting everyone's attention.

"Lincoln?!" shouts everyone else as they gather around Lisa's laptop.

"Hi, everyone!" says Lincoln.

"Lincoln! Are you okay?!" asked Lynn Sr.

"Are you hurt?" asked Leni.

"I was a little banged up from the trip over here, but I'm fine." said Lincoln. Everyone else lets out sighs of relief.

"We're just glad you're fine, honey." said Rita. A stoic expression appears on Lincoln's face.

"Can I talk to Luan?" asked Lincoln. Everyone else pushes Luan up to the screen who had a regretful look on her face.

"H-H-Hey, Lincoln." said Luan. "Look, I'm so sorry for what I did; I went too far."

"How is sending me to a tropical paradise a prank or was the bumpy ride itself the prank?" asked Lincoln, confusing everyone.

"Tropical paradise?!" exclaimed Lola.

"She was trying to mail you to Aunt Ruth's house." said Lana. Lincoln frowns at this information.

"What?" said Lincoln in an upset tone of voice. "At least that part of your prank didn't work out."

"Yeah, at least there's that." said Lori. Just then, Litten jumps up onto Lincoln's shoulder and plops down on it. Everyone sees him and looks at him with adoration.

"Awwww!" said Lincoln's sisters.

"Kitty cat." said Lily.

"It's so cute!" said Lola. Litten looks away and yawns, causing him to inadvertently breathe out small bits of fire, surprising everyone.

"Did that cat just breathe fire?" asked Rita. Lincoln looks at Litten, then back at the screen.

"I have a lot to tell you about." said Lincoln. He begins explaining to his family about meeting Kahuna Hala and Hau and learning about Pokemon.

"These Pokemon sound like fascinating creatures, elder brother." said Lisa.

"They sound so cool!" said Lana.

"I'm already enrolled at a school that teaches kids about them." said Lincoln.

"You enrolled yourself in a new school?!" asked Rita.

"I paid the enrollment fee myself." said Lincoln. "The thirty dollars I had was worth twenty-five thousand pokedollars."

"Pokedollars?" replied Lola.

"That's what the currency is called here." explained Lincoln.

"Oh." said Lola.

"Why would you want to stay there and learn about those Pokemon things?" asked Rita.

"I wouldn't mind a break from the chaos at our house." said Lincoln, getting frowns from his family. "Don't give me those looks. How many of you can honestly say you wouldn't mind getting away for a while to have some time to yourselves; probably on a tropical beach?"

"Well, I literally can't say that I wouldn't mind some peace and quiet so I can text without interruptions." said Lori.

"I would, totes, like to hang out on a tropical beach." said Leni.

"I want to breathe some tropical air, and not Lynn's farts or Lana's B.O!" said Lola.

"Hey!" shout Lynn and Lana.

"And Mom and Dad; how often have you wanted to spend some time together, just the two of you, and get away from all the noise that goes on at our house?" asked Lincoln. Rita and Lynn Sr both do eyerolls.

"I refuse to answer that on the grounds that it would get us on your sisters' bad sides." said Lynn Sr.

"I guess if you really want to do this, then we're okay with it." said Rita.

"Really?!" replied Lincoln.

"Yes, sweetie." said Rita.

"Thanks, Mom." said Lincoln.

"Do you know where you're going to stay while your there?" asked Rita.

"Kahuna Hala's letting me stay at his house." said Lincoln.

"Well, that's nice of him." said Rita.

"So, what are you up to now, sport?" asked Lynn Sr.

"Well, I'm getting ready to go to Professor Kukui's lab for some private tutoring on Pokemon before I start Pokemon School on Monday." replied Lincoln.

"Professor?" asked Lisa with interest.

"Yeah. He does research on Pokemon." replied Lincoln.

"Perhaps I can take part in this tutoring?" asked Lisa. "I would very much like to learn about these Pokemon creatures."

"I suppose you can join us, via video chat." said Lincoln.

"I would have to stay home from school for a while to do so." said Lisa.

"You're not going to stay home and miss out on your education, young lady." said Lynn Sr.

"Dad. This is Lisa we're talking about." said Lincoln. "What could she possibly learn in an average kindergarten class that she doesn't already know?"

"Touche." said Rita.

"Well, I suppose it's okay." said Lynn Sr.

"So, Lincoln. What exactly is Alola like?" asked Lola.

"Well, aside from the Pokemon, the Alola Region is like Hawaii." replied Lincoln.

"Really?!" replied Lola.

"Maybe after my tutoring, I can give you all a tour of the Hau'oli City." said Lincoln. "It's a beachside city with a large shopping district."

"Ooh! I, totes, want to see the shopping district." said Leni. Everyone talks for a little bit before ending the call.

"At least we know that Lincoln's okay." said Lynn Sr.

"I wish I got mailed to a place that's like Hawaii." said Lola.

"Don't even think about it, sweetie." said Rita, making Lola pout.

Back in Alola, Lincoln, Kahuna Hala, and Hau, stepped out of the house.

"Ready to go, Lincoln?" asked Hau.

"Lead the way." said Lincoln. With that, the three exit Iki Town and head for Professor Kukui's lab.
