Brynlee, as was now her name, knew exactly what she had been reborn as: a Lunarian. As such, she knew exactly what it implied: the World Government would be after her head. Currently located on top of the Red Line, she now needed to decide where to go in order to survive, grow, and eventually become a full-fledged resident of this crazy world. Now, thanks to a newspaper she'd miraculously managed to get her hands on – who knew News Coos serviced the Red Line itself? – she knew it had only been about nine years since Gol D. Roger's execution, meaning… well, meaning there were many things to consider when it came to the original storyline.
But! She hadn't decided to be reincarnated just to pick her brain apart trying not to entirely screw up the original timeline. So what if she accidentally changed a couple of things? This was her story, now.
For now, screw the plotline. I need to focus on getting somewhere safe, the original story be damned. This would really suck if I was to die this young, seriously.
As a child Lunarian, there was no denying that her options when it came to survival were… limited, because of the marines. The best outcome would be for them to forcibly recruit her into their ranks, while the worst would be for them to deliver her to Vegapunk and allow that madman to conduct illegal experiments on her.
Seeking out Garp might be one of her best bets at survival. He was too soft for downtrodden children, he'd surely hide her away with Ace – if he could find it in himself to save Gol D. Roger's legacy, then surely he'd be willing to help her, too. But it was a big if, and she wasn't entirely fond of relying on a member of the very organization that aimed to hunt her down merely because of her race.
Anywhere in Paradise or New World was entirely out of the question. She definitely wasn't strong enough to survive these waters, and she would either end up as a slave (and incidentally sold to the World Government) or abused by varying pirate crews aiming to use her abilities. Big Mom would undoubtedly seek to "adopt" her in her attempt to create her perfect, all-inclusive island, and Kaido might be willing to take her in because of King, but she definitely wasn't ready to support his undertakings in Wano. If she sought out Shanks, he would surely just drop her off with Luffy and hope for the best, which wasn't entirely bad – but again, not her best option. Finally, Whitebeard would surely accept her as one of his children, and he certainly was strong enough to ensure her survival, but there was still the matter of actually finding him – she'd either die or get caught before reaching his fleet.
So, Paradise and New World were out. Since she was on the Grand Line, maybe Amazon Lily could be an option, but she feared putting Boa Hancock in a difficult position should the WG learn of her existence – she didn't want the future Warlord to have to choose between her or her people.
Since it came down to the four Blues, it would be best to stick with what she knew, so she had to pick somewhere in the East Blue. Foosha was out, Loguetown wouldn't exactly be safe either, Syrup Village was too dangerous with Kuro looming over the horizon, Baratie wasn't exactly an option either—
Wait, what about Cocoyashi?
At this point in time, Arlong and his crew shouldn't have taken over the small cluster of islands just yet. If she could just get there beforehand and befriend Nami and her village, they'd surely take her in – and once Arlong showed up, she knew for a fact that he'd never turn her in to the World Government. Either he'd be sympathetic to her plight, either he'd be too eager to use her for his own means – one way or the other, he'd never sell her out, and she could use that opportunity to help Nami and her village until Luffy showed up…
Wow, it's kind of sad to think that I'm betting my literal life on Arlong's innate racism… Well, no point in being picky, I suppose. Cocoyashi it is!

You must survive 'til the end, no matter what.
Reward: ?
[SUBQUEST]
Safe Haven
Find your way to Cocoyashi Village! Hopefully you'll be safe, there.
Reward: 1,000,000 berries
ACCEPT/REFUSE
Brynlee almost immediately made up her mind and accepted the subquest – no way in hell was she passing up the chance to earn some good money. She couldn't recall much of how the currency worked in this world – a system akin to Japanese money, right? – but she knew this amount would at least allow her to survive comfortably for a while.
But then, another window popped up.
[WARNING]
Would you like to use the [ABILITY] Gambler's Reward for this subquest?
Oh, right. I have something like that now, don't I?
This ability essentially allowed her to raise the stakes of a subquest. If she fulfilled it, then she could multiply the monetary reward. And if she failed in completing the quest, well, she'd be kicking off her journey heavily indebted to the system.
Hell yeah! Let's start this off with a bang!
Without hesitation, Brynlee agreed to the use of her ability and promptly selected the highest option: quintuple the original reward. She couldn't help but giggle a bit as the window disappeared, rubbing her hands excitedly. Some would call it careless, risking a 5 million berries debt from the get-go, but… well.
What else was a gacha addict meant to do when given this kind of opportunity?

Glad to see some people are already interested! Now, for anyone who might be worried regarding the Gamer System used in this story, I believe it'll be something more akin to the DnD system! So, no complicated numbers to keep track of.
Here's a first look at Brynlee's [CHARACTER PROFILE]! It will be updated each time something is added.
PS. If anyone has any questions regarding the system or Brynlee's feats, skills, abilities, etc., feel free to ask! And don't forget, I'm open to requests and suggestions!
