Naruto: The King of Kings

Once again, it's the day before the final test, Naruto mused to himself as he walked alone throughout the busy streets of Konoha. It was one of his favorite activities — going through one of the biggest villages in the Shinobi nations always made him feel less alone than he truly was.

As he turned around a corner, he spotted something that he could never tolerate. "Stop it, you three!" Naruto shouted towards a group of young genins who were in the midst of beating a young civilian kid. The boy was a bit younger than Naruto, with bruises and a bleeding nose visible on his face and body.

The oldest bully snorted. "What does it have to do with you? Get lost, kid!"

Wrinkling his nose, Naruto stepped forward and touched the tallest one's shoulder as he kicked the civilian yet again. "As if I would let douchebags like you beat others! Do you think I'm scared of you? I'm Naruto Uzumaki, the greatest prankster in the whole damn world!" Naruto pointed his thumb at himself confidently, attempting to intimidate the bullies. Unsurprisingly, they weren't all too pleased with Naruto's antics.

"How about you join him then?" one of them said, slowly approaching Naruto. Bravery and confidence could only take him so far. Before Naruto could say anything else, one of them punched him in the nose, making him fall a few meters backward. Blood started pouring, but he brushed it off and rushed forward, attempting to punch one of the bullies in the stomach. "HAAA!" Naruto exclaimed, but to his surprise, the boy didn't even flinch.

"That's what you call a punch? That civilian kid could probably throw stronger one than you ever could!" one of them taunted as they began to surround Naruto.

This wasn't a fight he could win, he soon realized. Confident and ambitious he was, but not dumb enough to ignore the reality of the situation. He attempted to reach for a kunai in his pouch, but the bully swiftly stopped him by taking it from him.

"What, you'll try to kill us with it, kid? You clearly need a bigger lesson than that punk ovah there!" he said and pushed Naruto's arm to his back, pulling him to the ground and placing his foot on Naruto's head. "Show him what happens when you don't know your place, boys!"

What happened next would have scarred most for life. All three bullies started kicking Naruto relentlessly — from right, left, and above. Each kick brought immense pain for the young pre-genin. No amount of wiggling could help him to get out.

The civilian, scared, ran away as soon as soon as he could. At least he got away, Naruto thought as he saw the short guy running as fast as he could before another kick came to his nose, fracturing it.

"Considering he tried playing with his kunai, maybe we should do the same?" one suggested as he savagely pulled out his kunai and started bruising it along Naruto's face. "Oh, let's write something down!"

And they did just that a few moments later. "FAILURE" in capital letters was written in blood on Naruto's back. One of them held him by the mouth, holding his screams of pain as they did it.

Then, an even more sadistic idea emerged. "How about we... hang him for a bit? Suckers like these can't get away just by a few scratches on the back." They nodded and took Naruto by the collar, raising him above the ground, one holding him high enough to choke him.

A few seconds later, Naruto started gasping for air, but they seemed unconcerned. "Ghhhhhaaa!" Naruto tried to scream, but it was muffled by the choking.

Naruto wasn't sure if he would survive. They seemed to care very little for human life. I can't die... not now, Naruto thought to himself as he tried to pry from his grip.

"I-I…" as he spoke, an abnormal feeling came over him. One that couldn't be described by any words besides 'godly'. For reasons unknown to him, he knew what to do and what he got. "I-I COMMAND YOU BASTARDS TO DIE!" Naruto screamed aloud with all the power he could muster. His left eye, suddenly, started glowing in red hue.

A flaming mix of red and orange bird-like creature appeared in Naruto's now red as a ruby eye, emitting a flaming red light invisible to anyone but Naruto, which flew into the three bullies' eyes and reached their optic nerves. "Yes, your highness!" the three of them said in unison, then one after another, they slit their necks with the kunai they stole from him , much to Naruto's surprise.

I just killed three people… Or rather, made them kill themselves, he thought with terror in his eyes. Somehow, it made him feel a bit less guilty as he didn't have blood on his hands, but it still felt wrong. Very wrong. He knew he'd have to kill, but to do that… Even if they were monsters, he could've done it differently. He couldn't act so brashly anymore with the power he had unlocked.

Here was no confusion for Naruto as to what had happened. He found some sort of power called Geass deep inside of him, and it felt as if he had had it for his entire life. A power that was beyond dangerous, even in the deadly and dangerous world he lived in.

XxX

Naruto couldn't sleep that night. He spent it obsessing over what he had gotten himself into. It didn't help that the next day was of great importance. Having failed twice before, Naruto was convinced he'd fail his genin test yet again. Well, that's what he thought before he unlocked his Geass. A power that grants him absolute obedience from every human being he holds eye contact with.

He still couldn't quite come up with any logical reasons for why and how it had all happened. One second he was near the end of his lung capabilities, and the next, he had godly powers and knew exactly what it was.

A few minutes ago, Naruto had failed the genin test just as he always did, but now... he had something that could change it all.

"Sensei..." Naruto said, slowly walking and glancing in each direction for his peers. Nobody was present except for Iruka, who was sitting at the main desk as he always did.

Iruka sighed for a moment before calming himself down. "I... don't know what to tell you, Naruto. Don't blame yourself too much; you can still become a genin the next year."

Naruto appeared calm on the outside, but inside, he was anything but. He was getting more stressed with each passing second, afraid of what he was about to do. Hell, he wasn't even sure if it would work as it did before. In hindsight, it would've been smarter to test his powers a bit more, but that it was too late, he realized.

"Iruka-sensei... I command you to make me a genin by any means necessary!" he said loudly, with intense pain in his tone. Controlling people wasn't what he had ever wanted, but the same burning red bird-like thing flew into Iruka's eyes, taking all the control of him.

"Yes, your highness!" Iruka said, suddenly standing up and handing Naruto the ninja headband, which he took with a trembling hand.

Naruto didn't quite know whether to thank him or hit himself over the head for committing such a disgusting act. Nonetheless, holding the thing he had strived for so many years felt... rewarding, to say the least.

Iruka then started filling out documents, which Naruto presumed would just confirm his graduation. "Come here tomorrow, Naruto, as you are now a genin!" Iruka said frantically, to which Naruto nodded.

"Thanks, I guess," the blond boy mumbled as he slowly limped away. As he opened the door, he encountered his Taijutsu teacher.

"So, how did it go? Did you beg him to let you become a genin?" Mizuki smirked a bit and looked at Naruto's expression, expecting to see sorrow. Instead, he saw fear and regret washing his facial features.

What he didn't see was that Naruto was carrying his headband. "No. I am a genin now," he responded monotonously.

"What!?" Mizuki suddenly exclaimed almost falling on the ground out of shock. He had always suspected the boy would fail at every step he took. "Hey, Iruka, is that true?" Mizuki shouted.

"Yes. Naruto is a genin," Iruka confirmed stoically.

Naruto didn't say anything to anyone who was happily celebrating their graduation with their families and friends. He didn't feel like a winner at all.

To celebrate, or more accurately, to relieve his sorrows, he decided to go to a place where he always felt welcomed. Slowly walking through Konoha's streets, he headed to the place where he always, no matter what, felt at home.

Saying that Ichiraku Ramen was his second home wouldn't be a lie, considering just how much time he spends there. "Could I get some ramen?"

Teuchi looked slightly worried at the boy but didn't comment. Whenever Naruto didn't refer to him as 'old man', he knew that something was wrong. "Ayame, come over here!" he called out loudly.

"Right away!" she said happily, bringing Naruto the ramen he loved so much. She then noticed the grim look on his face, a look she had never seen whenever she served him ramen. "What's the matter, Naruto?" she asked, but it took a few seconds for him to register the question.

"Nothing..." he responded. Lying was never his strong suit. "Can I ask you a question?" he asked, and she nodded. "What would you do if you found out you have a very strong power inside of you?"

The girl seemed to turn pale instantly, which made Naruto briefly consider whether she knew about the Geass, but he dismissed the idea, since a power like that would be considered too dangerous for anyone to wield, and he would likely get assassinated instantly.

"It's... not something I can talk about, y'know..." she responded to Naruto's confusion. He really couldn't believe, not even for a second, that anyone knew about Geass.

A chill ran down Naruto's spine. He needed to know if anyone knew he had this power, or he'd go insane. "Explain why and what you don't want to talk about!" he said, not loudly enough for Teuchi to hear as he was now working in the kitchen some feet away.

"I'd get in trouble for informing you about the Kyūbi sealed inside of you," she replied lifelessly, leaving Naruto in shock. He dropped his chopsticks into his ramen, and almost fell down from his chair.

"W-what?!" he exclaimed loudly, unable to believe it. She wasn't lying. He knew it was the truth coming from her mouth, but he just couldn't wrap his head around it.

"What's the matter, Naruto?!" she asked suddenly, seeing the petrified look on the boy's face.

He threw some cash on the counter and left instantly, running back to his apartment. Fumbling and dropping on the ground many times along the way, he finally reached his way home with the familiar looks of the villagers following him. However, now he knew why he was getting those looks.

As he climbed the stairs, his landlord confronted him. "Hey, don't run here! I've told you that so many times. When will you get that through your dumb skull?" he asked. Naruto turned to him deciding to make sure what Ayame was saying the truth.

"Am I the Kyūbi Jinchuriki?" he demanded an answer and activated his Geass, sending the power into the landlord's brain to confirm it.

"Yes, your highness!" the landlord responded instantly.

"Does everyone know about it except me?!" Naruto asked, still in shock from the news.

"Know what?"

(Hokage's palace)

"These are quite impressive results. I would have never expected Naruto to do so well, Iruka," the Hokage said as he smoked his long pipe and reclined in his chair. "I honestly can't believe that he performed so well in your tests."

"He did, Hokage-sama," Iruka confirmed, almost sounding angry to Hiruzen. The Hokage couldn't see the slightly reddened areas outside of Iruka's eyes as he responded, "Naruto is promoted to genin and his results were befitting one."

"Well then, maybe Naruto could use a different team," the Hokage mused more to himself than to Iruka. Never in his life could he have expected Naruto to score almost perfectly in each category. If he had scored any higher, he would have considered interviewing the boy himself for a potential early promotion to chūnin. After all, he was Minato's son, and perhaps he inherited his father's talent a bit later, he thought now.

Still, something about the situation didn't sit right with the Third Hokage. There was something odd in Iruka's movements and facial expressions. He had always expected formality in conversations as he is their superior, but not in this robotic demeanor.

"Do you realize how much work you've just brought me with this news? With Naruto's results, I'll have to reshuffle all the teams," the Hokage said jokingly, but Iruka didn't react or smile. He remained robotic whenever Naruto and his genin test results came into the conversation.

Sighing, Hiruzen let the matter drop and turned to his paperwork. A long night of work awaited him.

XxX

It was a lot to take in, and the fact that he was a fake among the genin crowd didn't help either.

The past few days were a lot to take in for the boy. For starters, he had a demon sealed inside of him, and it seemed that most people knew about it, which explained a lot of their actions. His Geass powers were also something of bizarre, perhaps even more important than the demon sealed inside of him. He has a power with which he could control people, but it appeared to work only once on them. To understand it better, he asked his neighbor to bring him a note every day, writing the date each time to determine if there was a limit to how long the power worked.

Sitting patiently, he awaited Iruka to announce the team formations. His teacher came to the desk and started mentioning everyone's names.

"Team 8: Naruto Uzumaki; Shino Aburame; Ino Yamanaka."

Naruto let out a sigh he didn't even realize he was holding. After that he wondered what he was so worried about; the stress of the past day had clearly taken its toll.

"I'm a genin now, come on, Naruto," he said to himself aloud as he gave himself a light slap to take control of himself. Then, he walked over to join the newly formed team who were standing near the door. The blonde girl with the longest hair in class didn't seem all too pleased with the team formation, while the tall boy next to her appeared indifferent. Well, it looked like he was indifferent because it was difficult to see his face behind his glasses and coat.

"Soooo… I guess we are a team now," Naruto said with a bit more excitement, eager to finally start his shinobi career.

"I guess we are," Ino commented, her disappointment radiating around her as she glanced at Sasuke, who was walking with Shikamaru and the Hyūga princess. At least Sakura isn't with him, she thought to herself.

"You seem a bit different," Shino commented, surprising Naruto, as he had never seen Shino talk before he was asked.

"Heh, the past few days were... something," he responded awkwardly scratching his head. Why am I acting like this? Control yourself, will ya? Even if I have a demon inside me and the power to control anyone, it doesn't change who I am! he tried to reassure himself in his mind.

Sighing, Ino said, "Let's go already. We have to get to a different class." They all nodded and walked through the door towards their intended class. "It doesn't make sense..." she muttered, still disappointed.

"What doesn't make sense?" Naruto asked, confused.

"I was always told that I'd be on the same team with Shikamaru and Choji, as per our clan's tradition. Though I still had hopes for Sasuke, the fact that I would get assigned with you two never even crossed my mind," she answered honestly.

"It's quite interesting indeed," Shino added whilst correcting his glasses as a bug rested on his finger. Naruto couldn't help but feel a little freaked out by the boy. He hated bugs, and Shino was surrounded by them all time the time.

"How did you become a genin, Naruto? I honestly thought you were too dumb— I mean, you could never become one with your horrible chakra control," she asked, slightly surprising Naruto. She seemed genuinely curious.

Putting his arms together, Naruto thought of an appropriate answer. For now, he believed it would be safer to keep his Geass a secret from everyone, including his teammates. Considering that Kyūbi made everyone hate him, what would a power like this do to him?

"I trained hard and followed our teachers' instructions. I guess, Iruka saw what I can do and promoted me," he responded anxiously as they entered the last room in the academy.

"As if! Keep your secrets then! I couldn't care less about how you cheated your way through," she replied angrily, seeing through Naruto's convoluted lie.

Upon entering, they saw their teacher, a tall man with wild, black spiky hair, standing at quite an imposing six feet. He wore the standard Konoha uniform and seemingly looked through them with his dark brown eyes.

He took one last smoke from his cigarette and placed it on the table before motioning for them to come in. "Guess we should start, shall we?"

They all took seats a few meters away from the main desk where the jonin was sitting. "Asuma Sarutobi. Nice to meet you," he said, and gestured for them to start introducing themselves.

Ino took the initiative. "Ino Yamanaka, daughter of Inoichi Yamanaka and heir to—"

"I don't need to know all that background," he interrupted, lighting another cigarette. "I already know a lot about you three. Say something interesting."

This took Ino by surprise, and noticing the silence, Naruto spoke up confidently, "Naruto Uzumaki, the future's best and strongest ninja in Konoha and the whole damn world! Also, I'm the one who will take the old man at the top out of his job!"

Asuma started chuckling, which soon turned into a full-blown laugh. "Not bad, kid. Now that's an introduction."

"Shino Aburame. I want to meet my parents' expectations, learn more about our special jutsus, and—" he said, showing no hint of emotion, as always.

Ino began to speak loudly over Shino, saying, "And I want to—," but got silenced by Asuma.

"Hey now, you've already given your introduction. Sit back and listen to what others have to say, princess," Asuma said with a smile, causing Naruto to laugh a little and Ino to blush in embarrassment.

"Anyway, we'll discuss things further as we head out on our missions. But first, I have a test for you kids that you'll have to pass!"

XxX

They walked into the forest, each thinking of possible tests that might be given to them, each idea wilder than the last.

Upon reaching an area surrounded by trees, Asuma raised his hand to signal them to stop. "The test is quite simple, but it won't be easy by any means of your sick imaginations," he explained slowly. "One of you, by your group's decision, will be tied to a tree. The others must find a way to free that person within ten minutes."

The new genin glanced at each other, none too eager to become the one tied to a tree.

"I think Ino should be the one tied up," Naruto suggested quickly, trying to deflect the looks from his teammates. Looks that he knew were implying that he was the least competent among them, and should be the one tied to the tree.

Before Ino could protest, Shino surprisingly, changed his opinion and agreed. "I doubt there's a chance for you to use your clan's techniques. Naruto, from what I've at least observed, is more capable in taijutsu and can endure much more."

Ino wrinkled her nose but reluctantly nodded. "Fine. But if you fail, I swear to God, I'll never forgive you!"

"As if I care about your forgiveness!" Naruto retorted with a smirk before turning his attention to the new challenge ahead. Asuma's presence was quite intimidating from afar.

Ino playfully bumped Naruto's head with her fist and then walked toward Asuma in an offended manner. Soon, her screams and displeasure echoed through the forest as she was dangled upside down from a tree by a rope.

"The test begins," Asuma's voice called out from a distance. It wasn't clear to the jonin if they had heard him because of the distance, but he didn't care to check.

"Do you have a plan?" Naruto asked, and Shino nodded slowly. The blond boy found himself enjoying the quiet and the calm personality of his new teammate in the few moments they had shared.

"Our mission is to get her down. It doesn't matter how; we just have to somehow find a way to cut the rope," Shino explained, and Naruto nodded, glancing at the angrily shaking Ino. "My bugs could eat the rope away, but it'll take time. If I send them straight, they'll surely be spotted and taken down instantly."

Naruto sighed. "Then I guess I'll have to distract his attention in the meantime," he said, and Shino nodded. "Let's go, then! We don't have time to waste!" Naruto declared and rushed toward their teacher, his excitement building at the opportunity to fight some strong jonins. They weren't far from Hokage, after all.

Asuma was still in the midst of enjoying his cigarette and didn't bother to remove it from his mouth when Naruto jumped, attempting to land a kick on his face, but the Jonin swiftly caught his foot and threw him ten feet back. Naruto regained control mid-air and landed on both of his feet.

Glancing back slightly, he saw Shino slowly approaching from his right. He knew that Shino had probably already deployed his bugs in some form or another.

Naruto needed to take action. Fast. He rushed Asuma once again, but stopped right before him and threw kunai as he moved to the right. Asuma swiftly blocked them with his chakra blades and, to Naruto's surprise, attacked him at a speed he could barely follow. Asuma delivered a powerful hit with his elbow to Naruto's stomach, causing him to cough up some blood afterwards.

Asuma then performed some hand signs and unleashed a powerful gust of wind, blowing away everything in a mile radius, making Ino scream loudly as she reached the branches. Naruto soon realized that it was mostly directed at the bugs. No, he was sure of it. Asuma had already figured out their strategy.

"Damn!" Naruto exclaimed as he stood up, breathing heavily. "Shino, go and cut the rope with your kunai. I'll deal with HIM."

"Oh, you think you stand a chance? Don't you remember what just happened?" Asuma said, laughing, but Naruto didn't flinch, and instead, smirked.

"You're about to find out who you're dealing with. "Oiroke no Jutsu (Sexy Technique)!" Naruto said as he rushed towards Asuma. Smoke appeared, revealing a curvy, tall blonde girl without any clothes, her intimate body parts covered amidst the smokes.

Asuma's eyes twitched, and his face reddened. "What kind of dirty nonsense have you been learning at the academy?" he said, knowing full well what kind of notorious prankster Naruto was in Konoha.

It did, however, make Asuma pause for a moment, and Shino threw kunai at the rope. But the genins highly underestimated the Jonin.

The kunai hit the rope, barely scratching its surface, leaving even Shino surprised. Then, Asuma rushed and delivered a few swift kicks and punches to the boy, hitting him in the arms and later, in the stomach.

"One down, only the clown left. You didn't think it would be a simple rope, did you?" Asuma said playfully as Naruto angrily glared at him.

Naruto knew that Asuma was teasing him, and he wasn't all too happy with that. How could I possibly defeat him? He had beaten Shino, one of the best at taijutsu that even Sasuke himself had trouble defeating, Naruto thought as he weighed his options.

An idea came up, one that he tried repressing but to no avail. Geass. He couldn't afford to fail and not get into a team after. Glancing at Shino, he noted that he was likely unconscious or, at the very least, unable to fight anymore. It was all or nothing.

"You're giving up already?" Asuma asked as he puffed the last smoke. However, Naruto started to walk slowly toward him with determination in his eyes.

"Sorry, sensei. I promise we'll get better and someday do your shitty test normally. But now... I command you to let us pass, no matter what!" Naruto said, assured and confident that this was the right choice to make. The same flaming bird that Naruto knew he was the only one seeing, flew into Asuma's eyes, making his mind enter a bluish field deep inside his consciousness. Less than a second later, Asuma bowed slightly.

"Yes, your highness," Asuma concurred stoically, and he went to untie Ino.

"Huh? Did we pass somehow?" Ino said curiously when her teacher came and undid the tie, raising a brow. It didn't feel or seem like it.

"Yes, you all pass," Asuma said mechanically, and Naruto noticed the reddened eyes that Ino didn't seem to notice, or could see at all. Then, the girl with the long ponytail looked confused at Naruto before sighing.

"Good job, Naruto," she said, unsure of how or what he did, but she was certain Naruto had said something important to him.

"Well, I had to do it. Otherwise, you might have killed us," Naruto said with a bit of relief in his voice. Some weight was lifted, even if at a price.

"Do what exactly?" she asked, and Naruto looked taken aback by her words. Naruto answered with a shrug, one that Ino didn't understand at all.

"Guess life works in mysterious ways, doesn't it?" Naruto replied nonchalantly as he went to help Shino stand up.

"What? What does that even mean?" she asked, now glaring at the blond boy. Ino could already feel that her genin teammates, mostly Naruto, would be problematic to deal with.

As Shino stood up, he glanced at Asuma and understood everything from his gaze. He couldn't quite believe or understand how Naruto did it, but Shino wasn't one to question when someone weren't too keen to answer, as Ino's and Naruto's exchange, which he barely could hear, indicated.

"Let's meet up tomorrow, near your academy. We'll start by doing some D-rank missions. Don't worry; they'll be very, very fun," Asuma said, his last words bringing him far too much joy.

Naruto nodded, and they all said their farewells. Once back home, he found the note on the door, which he had commanded the girl to put there. In his apartment, he took a scroll and wrote down all the people he had used Geass on. I have to play it smart, he said to himself in his mind. He could really mess up if he used his Geass, and it wouldn't work since he had used it previously.

The power was inspired by Lelouch's Geass(Code Geass). It's not really a crossover, as there won't be any characters or powers(besides this one) from it.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it.
