Chapter 3, sorry it's been a few days but work has been a pain and when I tried to write I couldn't put down the words even though I knew what I wanted to write. ,)

I also made a Tumblr page if anyone wants to send any questions or anything about this or any other stories I'll be making.

I don't own jjk only my ocs.

It was a few months into my school year that I came to a realization.

Well, actually two realizations.

One, I was abnormally strong for my age when I had easily been able to lift up a box filled with papers that a female teacher had asked us to bring to the faculty room and saw two other students who were struggling to carry one while working together.

Now I would have just thought that they weren't that strong but then I saw one of the more built male teachers try to help them but was also struggling terribly with it.

So I came to realize that I was abnormally strong.

Never been the buff girl before, I've always been the fat one.

The second realization was a… weird one to put it lightly.

I saw strange creatures around the town. Like creatures that look like they could be aliens or made by a mad scientist.

I had honestly started to think I had, knowing my luck, developed schizophrenia or something until I grabbed a butt ugly one by its tail and flung it off the old lady, who was having breathing issues, it had been on.

I yeeted that shit into space.

Then, when I noticed the old lady was breathing a lot better after that thing was off her, I concluded that, yes, those things were, in fact, real and I was the only one who saw them.

Getting real anime up in this bitch.

I mean I had figured there was something weird going on anime or manwha level considering how I look. Since I was a literal red-haired child with silver eyes and very pointy canine teeth.

And my eyebrows are pretty weird-looking…

But I was not expecting monsters that I, or at last as far as I know, could be the only one able to see.

I had been wondering if, maybe Grandpa could have seen them before he became blind but had no idea about how to go about asking him that sort of question.

Like I can't just go 'Hey Grandpa do you see these super ugly creatures that no one else seems to be able to see?' now can I?

That's a one-way ticket to the mental hospital with that sort of question.

"You ok, Fuku-chan?" Hanako asked me while we walked to her house from school.

The two of us had gotten really close to one another, likely due to the fact that she was much quieter than the other kids who were too loud for her, and me because I am still an anti-social person who struggles with making friends.

Introverts unit!

I scratched my cheek as I thought about whether I should tell her or not before giving in. "Yeah, well, maybe? I have a lot on my mind right now." I confessed.

"Really? Anything I can help with?" She asked me with a tilt of her head.

"Hmm, well alright, you see I want to ask my Grandpa a personal question but I'm not sure how to ask without sounding crazy," I explained to her, without telling her the reason.

"Why not just come out and say it then? He's your Grandpa so he should believe you, right?" She said with all the confidence a child has.

I sighed but nodded.

Might as well give it a shot.

We parted ways when we got to her house, her mother gave me a look before quickly ushering Hanako into the house before slamming the door.

Bitch

I shrugged it off and began my way back home.

Time to face the music

"Huh, you mean you can see curses already?" Grandpa said from where he was chopping wood with his bare hands.

We have an axe, use the axe grandpa!

I blinked at my grandpa's surprised face before nodding slowly and processing what he said.

"They called curses? Those butt ugly-looking things?" I asked him.

"Ha! Butt ugly that's the perfect way to describe them! But yeah, hold on let's go back in the house to talk about this." Grandpa said as he dusted his pants off and picked up his shirt before heading to where our house was with me following after him.

To be truthful it looked more like an abandoned shrine than a house, it was old looking with sliding doors jamming from time to time and floors that creaked when you walked on them.

The only good things were that the walls were intact so we didn't freeze when winter hits, the roof didn't leak water or blow off, and we were thankful to have working plumbing.

I can't live with no plumbing

Once in the house, he told me to sit at the table while he went to the kitchen to grab some snacks and made tea for us to have while talking.

I probably should have been more concerned about Grandpa, a blind man, being near a stove but after being under his care for my entire second life I had gotten used to the fact Grandpa was able to weirdly handle everyday choirs without needing eyes to see.

Not going to trust him driving a car though.

After he came back with the tea and snacks, which were just crackers, he sat down at the table and started to talk.

"Now where to begin...well you see Fuku, curse spirits are spiritual beings that manifest from the negative emotions that humans produce, which is called cursed energy. Of course, certain humans don't leak this energy like other humans do and are able to use the negative emotions they have to power an ability called jujutsu sorcery." Grandpa explained as he poured himself tea.

Hold the fuck up

"I have superpowers?!" I shouted with excitement. "Could I do stuff like use the Spirit Gun, or or Bankai, or a Rasengan, or Hadouken, or Kamehameha?!"

Let me fulfill my childhood dreams!

"I don't know a lot of those things you're saying other than the Dragon Ball one. But it's pretty unlikely, a lot of powers like that only come from clan families so you'll probably be like me and only able to see curses."

And of course, my childhood dreams are crushed.

"Though I could teach you the Reverse Curse Technique I know." He said as he grabbed some crackers.

"What's that?"

"It's a technique that allows you to heal from damage, though it's hard to learn how to do it. But anyone with curse energy can do it, it's not that everyone is able to do it." Grandpa told me between bits.

It can't be that hard, can it?

I was about to pick up my cup of tea when he continued.

"I'll also be teaching you how to fight too. Not just curse spirits of course but also other humans."

"What? Why?" I asked surprised as I nearly knocked over my cup.

"Well, Curses will generally attack other humans and will especially go after those that can see them so it's best to prepare for that to happen." He explained to me calmly.

I groaned at that fact.

"And for the reason to fight humans well, it is because others that can see Curses will either forcibly try to take you or get rid of you."

I choked at how casually Grandpa spoke about people either trying to abduct or kill me, his five-year-old granddaughter.

Grandpa, what the fuck?!

He shot me a grin. "So we just got to get you strong enough that no one can take away your choices, Fuku. I want you to live a life where you can live freely. Don't worry, I won't hold back on you just because you are my granddaughter, I promise to give it my all when it comes to your training."

Oh great…

And so Fuku begins her training to be able to be a badass. Though with some major ass-kicking for her along the way, her grandpa does not hold back.
