Julieta:mamá, that's unreasonable Mirabel is only 15 she's too young to be married
Alma:I...I admit that is true, but it's for the food of the family and for the good of Dolores we can't let another incident like Bruno happen in encanto, all this time I thought I would've been Mirabel i was too blind to see that Dolores is the one struggling
Agustin;ok, but if it's Dolores the one who needs to be married what does Mirabel has to do with anything?
Alma:I did not explain myself correctly, I want Dolores to be married to Mirabel
Felix: alma there cousins!
Alma:yes, and? Do not forget Felix that your brother is married to your cousin it's a completely normal thing to do in order to make our family strong
Pepa:I won't stand for it! Dolores has the right to love whoever she wants!
Alma: she's over 21 and has never been attracted to anybody that we know off, again like Bruno
Bruno"to be fair no one liked me back apart from my rats so..."
Bruno thought but deep down he knew that was an excuse he never made an effort to find someone. He looked at it was finally Julieta's turn to make her voice heard*
Julieta:you want my daughter to marry Dolores? Why ? Just tell me how will that fix anything?
Alma:Dolores is seen as the new Bruno the black sheep of the family, Mirabel as the giftless one
Alma raised her hand to stop them from talking since she was no where near finished *
Alma:popularity aside that's just fact those two are the most troubled madrigals and I wish to help them. My idea may seem, well I'll say it down right insane but it's what I think it's best for the two of them. Is to have an anchor to keep them both grounded on earth and inside the encanto. Mirabel's bubbly and energetic personality will pair well with Dolores reserved and almost shy personality
Agustin:they...they won't like this
The 3 other adults snapped there necks at Agustín shocked. Alma gave a small nod and smile as she just convinced 1 soon to be 2*
Julieta:your agreeing with her?!
Julieta said surprising everyone and even herself that she not only screamed but screamed at her husband something she hasn't done since each time she gave birth to there children. Agustin sighed and shrugged his shoulders*
Agustin:Mirabel...Mirabel is not like you Julieta, she's not like Luisa or like Isabela she's giftless. As much as we hate it as much as we try she will always feel less then for that fact. I...i always feared that one day she would have enough of being in the shadows and run away at least like this she'll have a reason to stay
Julieta wanted to argue with her husband she really did she wanted to tell Agustin that he was in the wrong and that Mirabel was fine. But she couldn't, she's seen the look that Mirabel gives out whenever she sees her sisters use there gifts it was the same one Bruno would give whenever someone would praise Julieta or Pepa for there's. She looked down, her hands bawling on her skirt, she even started to tremble a little when she gave a nod. Alma had two now she looked at Felix and Pepa*
Felix:your right they won't like it, they'll right down hate it and hate us for suggesting this idea. More specifically they'll hate you alma
Alma sighed as she poured herself another glass of tea*
Alma:I'm well aware of the fact they'll resent me at best and despise me at worse, but I'm willing to bite that bullet if it means that they'll stay inside the encanto
Félix:and what are you gonna do when they outright are rude and harsh with you?
Alma;nothing, I'll hold my tongue and I'll take there verbal abuse since I'll deserve it. I'm not a foolish old lady Felix I know what I'm asking will make them hate me but I have hope that they'll learn to love each other and see that this is what's best for them, for once I can say I'm not doing this for the encanto nor for the miracle. I'm doing this for the madrigal for those two madrigal that need companionship in order to truly be happy. So if there's any hate blame it all on me I'm the matriarch it's my decision anyway just tell them I forced your hand to do this they'll have no reason to see otherwise
Another time there eyes went wide in surprise, never has they seen alma madrigal doing something like this. It made Felix bite down on his lip and bite down hard in thought. It took a full 5 minutes of silence before he spoke again*
Felix:you have my vote
All eyes turned to Pepa, who was trying desperately to think of something, anything to change the minds of everyone*
Alma:whatever you have to say Pepa I'll listen do it
Pepa;I hate this. I hate more that I can't think of anything that won't have us be repeating the conversation you...you honestly think this will work? You can't learn to love someone mama, love comes like a tsunami
Alma:no. Your love came like a tsunami god knows I didn't love your father when we first met
Alma said covered her amused smile with a hand remembering the bumbling fool, sweating like no tomorrow with a flower in hand stuttering to ask her on a date*
Alma"hay that fool...how I miss you"
Alma thought sadly, she shook her head going back to a serious expression she needed to be firm with this choice*
Alma:but over time and over dates I learned to love him and his good qualities so yes Pepa you can very much learn to love someone, enough to have his babies
Alma said with a chuckle another memory flew inside her head of Pedro passing out when she told him the news. Again shook her head and tried to have a serious expression while inside her mind more and more memories came out of hiding, making alma weak at the knees*
Alma"where were all This memories when I would go to sleep and dream!?"
Alma though frustrated at herself, she was taken off her thoughts by pepa's shouting*
Pepa:kids! How do you expect them to have kids ?!
Alma:...now your just grasping at straws, there's an orphanage in encanto Pepa you know they can adopt, they're not the first couple that simply can't have children nor are they the first of the same gender. So if that's all you've got anything else you would like to say?
Pepa just slammed her hands at the table and walked to her room. Felix sighed and got up*
Felix:you have both our blessing she'll... she'll need time give her a week before you do this
Alma:of course, I'll give you all time to come to terms with this decision you may all leave to rest
Each of them got up and left, with Julieta being the exception she stayed back and help poor Camilo with the cleaning*

She sat down on her bed and looked around with a confused frown. As her room was filled with cracks only now they seemed...almost smaller. She shook her head*
Alma:my vision might finally be failing me wonder how much more until we see each other again bobo Pedro
Alma said with an amused expression looking at the candle and the picture of her late husband next to it, she sighed*
Alma:please help me. I hope this is the right choice...

Bruno:God it's been so very long since I've done this...
Bruno muttered to himself or his rats at this point in his life he doesn't know. He sat down as the sand started spinning. Bruno's eyes turned pure green and blood coming down Bruno's years since it's been a decade since the last time he saw the future. When all the theoretics finished a green slap that told the future appeared in front of him*
Bruno:god my head I forgot how much this hurts I'll have to ask Dolores to get me an Aspirin or something when she wakes up
Bruno muttered With a sigh as he grabbed the vision and looked at it. His eyes widen the future has indeed changed no longer was Mirabel in front of a cracking house*
Bruno:this...this is...I...wow...
Bruno flinched hearing his rats warning he cursed under his breath and left running the slap of the future falling and breaking becoming covered by the sand of the room Bruno gave a curse under his breath as he made back to his hiding spot before anyone could see him*
