Episode 37: The Championship Match! Dylan vs. Ashton!
With help from the International Police Team Cipher was apprehended, and with Ardos defeated it was only a matter of time before the remnants of Cipher was found and taken into custody as well. The championship match had to be postponed for another day to fix the stadium, however, not that Ashton or Dylan were complaining. It had been a long day with tough battles, so all of their Pokémon were willing to wait an extra day for the title match.
After a day of waiting, the hype for the final battle was buzzing like electricity in the stadium. Footage of both Dylan's fight against Ardos and Ashton and Kris' fight against Tabitha and Aliana had leaked online, meaning the two had even more fans now than before. As they entered the stadium, the announcer didn't even have time to speak before the crowds started cheering.
"Sounds like the entire world is cheering for us," Dylan mused.
"They better! They're about to watch history in the making," Ashton grinned, crossing her arms. "I'd like to see Aurora block Orochi's Tri-Cannon with her secret sword move."
"We're calling it the Aura Blade now, actually. Came up with it last night," Dylan replied.
"Still… I'm not holding back, and I know you won't either," Ashton said. "So let's give it all we got until we collapse!"
"She's lucky I forced her to get a full night's worth of sleep, or else I'd accuse her of staying up all night…" Kris sighed.
"Welcome everyone, to the true main event!" the announcer said. "It's been a crazy past few days, but we're here now! We have the strategic mind and defender of truth and ideals: Dylan, going up against the fiery spirit that always fights with the soul of a dragon: Ashton! Trainers, this will be a full six on six battle, and both sides have elected to not allow for switching out of Pokémon. Are both sides ready?"
Dylan held out a ball. "It's time for our final match…"
"And to the best Trainer will the victory land!" Ashton replied, holding out her own ball.
"Well then, if both sides are ready… Go!"
"Regulus, blast 'em into the stratosphere!"
"Mercury, show the power of living thunder!"
The two Mythical Pokémon burst out of their balls and dashed forward, Regulus taking on his speed form as it clashed a fist against Mercury's own. The two powerful Pokémon gave each other a nod before pushing off each other, sliding across the ground before squaring off again.
"I've been waiting for the moment to test your strength," Mercury said.
And I don't intend to disappoint, Regulus replied.
Hey is it time, is it time?
Let's get up and go!
Are you ready for adventure out in the unknown?
The battle of legends started in earnest with Regulus switching to attack form and firing off a Psycho Boost, which Mercury dodged and rushed in with a Plasma Fist attack. The Deoxys changed to defense form to block the attack before using Night Shade to counter, Mercury flinching back before pushing away from his opponent with a Blaze Kick.
With new faces to meet, and strange places to see
There's so much I wanna show you today!
"Come on, get in there and attack!" Ashton called, her Pokémon complying and using Agility to close the gap between itself and the Zeraora.
Mercury ducked down as Regulus tried to use Hyper Beam, going into a roll and attacking with Drain Punch. The Deoxys then changed to its regular from and started attacking with a combination of Night Shade and Psycho Boost, Mercury punching away the attacks with Plasma Fist and Aerial Ace.
Through Fire, Grass, and Water, whatever's ahead
Even if now in the present we stumble instead
The future's out there waiting for us to find whatever's in store
The two Mythical Pokémon continued to trade blows, sending off sparks of electric and psychic energy as their movements became a blur to the audience.
"It's astounding…" Colress mused as he watched the match from his base. "The power both are displaying is… simply incredible!"
"Plasma Fist!" Dylan shouted.
"Psycho Boost!" Ashton ordered.
Both Pokémon attacked at once, Mercury pushing through the psychic attack to land a powerful punch to Regulus' core crystal. There was a shockwave as the two collided, before they fell to the floor, all of their energy spent.
But every memory that we've made today…
Will always be kept safely within a ball!
"Looks like we have a double knockout for our first match!"
"You did good, Mercury," Dylan said, recalling his Pokémon.
"It was flashy fight for sure, Regulus," Ashton nodded. "Phantasm, let's tear it up with the power of darkness!"
"Bring the snow, Poli'ahu!" Dylan called, sending out his arctic Ninetails to face the Gengar.
Ashton Mega Evolved her Pokémon right away, while Dylan set up an Aurora Veil to increase defenses.
One, Two, Three! Let's jump in and go!
A future that we want will be ours to hold
Waiting here in my pocket!
Phantasm laughed and started spewing Sludge Bombs everywhere, covering the ground in poisonous traps that Poli'ahu had to dodge around. The Ninetails used Freeze Dry to blow some of the poison away, but it was clear who had the advantage at the moment.
And when I say "Nice to meet you"
You just know there's nothing that we can't do
Don't hesitate, steel yourself and-
No! Try! Let's have a fight!
"Looks like we're going to have to blast on through if we want to win this," Dylan said. "Poli'ahu, Subzero Slammer!" He held up his arms as he performed the Z-Move, Poli'ahu giving a cry as she fired out a massive beam of ice.
"Brace yourself, Phantasm!" Ashton ordered as her Pokémon held up his hands, tanking the Z-Move.
(One!) And after the battle done
(Two!) It doesn't matter if we've lost or won
We'll be the best of friends at three!
"Did it work?" Dylan asked as the freezing air warmed back up.
"Not even close!" Ashton laughed as Phantasm appeared behind Poli'ahu, casting Hypnosis on the Ninetails before slamming it with a Shadow Ball and Dark Pulse. Poli'ahu didn't fare well against those moves and quickly fainted, using up most of her energy on the Z-Move.
Whether it happens today, tomorrow, or yesterday
I know that you'll be by my side
"Leave this to me!" Inari shouted as he traded placed with the fainted Poli'ahu, digging his claws into Phantasm and unleashing his Bitter Malice. The Gengar had taken some damage from the Subzero Slammer, and the surprise hit from Inari meant that the Zoroark had the advantage, taking down the Mega Evolved Pokémon in record time.
Our journey carries on down the road that travels long
To find the place here in this world we belong!
"Phantasm, that was great, but now it's Azrael's turn!" Ashton called, sending out her Skarmory and setting up Spikes.
"Always with the spikes…" Dylan shook his head.
Inari growled at the bird flying overhead, letting Azrael come down with a Night Slash attack before countering with a barrage of Swift stars, knocking the Skarmory away.
Let's go! And if you fall down to the ground
Let's go! You know I'll be there to help you out
Cause you know…
That I will always choose you!
"Come down here and fight!" Inari taunted, launching a Sludge Bomb to get Azrael's attention.
The Skarmory swooped down again, this time grabbing some of the spikes off the ground and using them to enhance its Air Slash attack. Inari growled as the spikes dug into his skin, sending out a Dark Pulse to block Azrael when he swooped down to use Steel Wing. With another Bitter Malice the Zoroark managed to ground the Skarmory, savagely blasting it with power until Azrael was knocked out.
Staring out at the view of our beautiful town
It takes me breath away at the beauty around
All the changes I see, and the things that I leave
All behind me on the journey ahead
"You did what you needed to do, Azrael," Ashton said. "Hailey, let's get rid of this guy!"
The Clefairy popped out of her ball and wagged her finger, causing random portals to appear around Inari and launch multiple fists at the Zoroark, pummeling him into submission.
"Looks like Hailey's Metronome summoned Hyperspace Fury!"
"Heck yeah! That's our luck for ya!" Ashton grinned.
Every hole I ever tripped on playing as a kid
Looking back I can't imagine the struggles I lived
Have I just forgotten those times from a much simpler life?
As Inari was called back, Delphi made her appearance, flicking her wand out to cast a Future Sight. "It's time for me to take the stage!"
"We love you, Delphi!" someone shouted.
"And I love you, random citizen!" Delphi laughed.
"Great, she has human fans now…" Kris muttered, shaking her head.
Hailey wagged her fingers again, this time summoning a Liquidation that Delphi blocked with Secret Power. "Let's see if your luck can stand up to my magical beauty!" the Delphox taunted.
But even though, we'll one day forget the past…
The memories we make today I know will last!
What had been a Pokémon battle soon turned into an odd dance, with Delphi practically dancing around all the moves that Hailey's Metronome would bring out. Eerie Impulse, Spirit Break, False Surrender, Icy Wind, Beat Up: they all were either avoided or countered by the Delphox's skill.
One, Two, Three! Let's jump in and go!
All those days that I spend there crying alone
Before I stepped outside my ball!
"I'll say this, the kids are keeping it interesting out there," Guzma said.
"Come on, Big Sis Ashton! Beat 'em down for us!" the Team Skull Grunts cheered.
"Dylan, show her what all your training has been building up to!" Mia shouted.
I asked you "Where you want to go?"
And you replied "Anywhere you should go"
No time to breathe, let's get going-
No! Try! Why don't we go?
As Delphi dodged an Air Slash, she smirked as Future Sight went off, stunning Hailey for a moment while she finished off the Clefairy with Signal Beam and Mystical Fire. "There we go! My foxy charm wins again!" Delphi giggled.
Her victory was short lived, however, as Vulcan came out and avenged his teammate with a savage Rollout attack, bowling Delphi over with a super effective hit that her defenses couldn't take.
(One!) Beyond the world that's ahead
(Two!) Beyond the people that I've never met
I know they're out there waiting!
"Thanks for the show, Delphi," Dylan said as he returned the Delphox to her ball. "Vex, it's a battle of Starter Pokémon!"
The Noibat Synergized into Noivern and gave a roar, firing off a Dragon Pulse that Vulcan met with an Eruption.
It doesn't matter right now if I will hit the ground
I've decided the strength in me
As Vulcan kept up the Eruption blasts to fill the air debris, Vex flew up high and used Boomburst to blast the lava back down at Vulcan, making the Typhlosion cry out as it was hit with its own attacks.
"Oh you're into for it now!" Ashton shouted as Vulcan's Blue Flame ability activated, its fire going white hot as it used Rollout to gain speed before launching himself up into the air, attacking Vex with a Swift attack.
Our shadows stretching long in the sunset far beyond
They show just how much it is that we've grown!
The Noivern stumbled as it tumbled from the sky, Vulcan landing first and setting up Earthquake to do damage against his opponent. Vex panted a bit from the damage, before growling and whipping up an Air Slash to tear away at the Typhlosion's defenses.
Let's go! It gotta be right after the rain
Let's go! You can't see rainbows on sunny days
I've known that since the day that I realized…
Vulcan flinched before using Rollout again, slamming into Vex's chest. The Noivern used his claws to hold back the super effective attack, barring down with a Dragon Pulse before succumbing to the attack. As Vulcan's attack ended, he too fainted as the last attack from Vex finally took a toll, uncurling from his ball with stars swirling around his head.
Hey, you
Yeah, you
Before I even knew the truth
I've seen now just how much you have grown
"This is it, everyone! Both sides are down to their final Pokémon! Who will win and become World Champion!?"
As Dylan and Ashton recalled their Pokémon, they both looked at each other from across the field. The world seemed to lose color around them as if in a dream, the two seeming to revert back to their childhood selves as they remembered the journey that brought them here.
I left everything behind in my back pocket
Of those clothes that I've since outgrown
Ashton grinned as she pointed at Dylan. "Well, looks like this is our moment. You ready to finish this, partner?"
All the adventures there in my hand
With us together we made our stand
Dylan smiled back and held out his last Poké Ball, a Moon Ball. "You know it. Let's make this our best battle ever!"
And these memories from those past days
Are always searching to find us again!
"Aurora!"
"Orochi!"
The Ancient Guardian Lucario and Alpha Hydreigon burst out of their balls, a full-power Water Pulse clashing against Hyper Beam as the crowd roared for the two opponent's best Pokémon. Aurora started launching Aura Spheres left and right while Orochi closed the gap between them with Dragon Rush, Aurora countering the Crunch attacks with defensive Shadow Claw swipes.
One, Two, Three! Let's jump in and go!
A future that we want will be ours to hold
Waiting here in my pocket!
With an up-close battle, Aurora kept using Shadow Claw and Meteor Mash to hold Orochi's multiple heads back, all while the Hydreigon nipped and gnashed at her. When the dragon managed to Crunch one of her paws, the Lucario cried out and formed and Aura Sphere in her other hand, slamming it into the clamped down head and blasting it off of her.
And when I say "Nice to meet you"
You just know there's nothing that we can't do
Don't hesitate, steel yourself and-
No! Try! Let's have a fight!
Stumbling back, Orochi fired off a Flash Cannon, which Aurora deflected with a Meteor Mash before returning the favor with a Water Pulse. Not appreciating getting doused in water, Orochi roared and used Dragon Rush, slamming Aurora into the ground before she pushed him back with Aura Sphere once again.
(One!) And after the battle done
(Two!) It doesn't matter if we've lost or won
We'll be the best of friends at three!
"Come on! It's time we finish this!" Ashton shouted. "Orochi, use Tri-Cannon, Strong Style!"
"Aurora, get ready to counterattack!" Dylan commanded.
"I'm with you, brother," Aurora nodded, steeling herself as she started to form her Aura Blade in her hands.
Whether it happens today, tomorrow, or yesterday
I know that you'll be by my side
"Let's go!" Ashton screamed, Orochi firing off his signature attack. Each of his heads fired off a beam of red, blue, and yellow, the three beams swirling around each other before combining into a massive beam.
Our journey carries on down the road that travels long
To find the place here in this world we belong!
As the attack go closer, Aurora actually started running at the beam, jumping up and using the momentum to leap over the beam and jam her Aura Blade into her, sliding along the top of the beam and riding it all the way back to where Orochi was. With a smile on her face, Aurora let go of her attack as she put a hand on Orochi's main head.
"It's over!" she shouted, before bringing down her other hand with Aura Blade, slamming the Hydreigon into to ground and creating a massive crater from the impact.
Let's go! And if you fall down to the ground
Let's go! You know I'll be there to help you out
Cause you know…
That I will always choose you!
The audience gasped at the attack as dust went up everywhere, before Aurora jumped out of the hole and landed on her feet. She winced as she fell to one knee, but remained upright as she started at the impact site. Orochi remained lying there, all three of its heads strung out in a head. He looked at the shocked face of Ashton before fainting, the girl speechless at the final attack.
"Ladies and gentleman, I think it's safe to say that… your next World Champion… Is Dylan!" the announcer called, the crowd starting to cheer his name as confetti rained down onto the stadium.
Dylan looked over to Aurora, smiling as she helped her stand back up. "Great job, sister. You did well today," he said. Looking over to Ashton, he held out a hand to her as she returned Orochi to his ball. "You did amazing today as well, Ashton."
She looked at his hand, before laughing and giving him a playful punch to the arm. "You're as crazy as I am, dude! Only you would think to use your ultimate attack to freaking grind over my Tri-Cannon!"
"We just… went with our gut," Dylan chuckled, giving his friend a firm handshake as the crowd cheered for both of them. "Sorry you didn't get to win, though."
"Nah, it's cool. Sure, getting to kick your butt on international television would have been cool, but I think everyone got to see just how awesome I was regardless," Ashton shrugged. "No, go and get your trophy already!"
Nodding, Dylan started walking over to where the champion podium was, all of the previous Champions standing there waiting for him. The announcer held out the trophy to Dylan, who happily accepted it and held it high. "Today is the day… I became a Pokémon World Champion!" he announced. "Thank you to everyone- my family, my friends, and my Pokémon- for helping me to make this dream come true!"
"You know, there is one last thing you get to do as Champion," Cynthia said.
"You gotta pick which one of us to mentor you in your first month as Champion!" Iris cheered.
"No pressure, by the way. All of us are willing to show you the ropes of how to have a champion time," Leon added.
Dylan looked between his options before making a decision. "I would have to go with Lance. I always read about how you protected the Pokémon at the Lake of Rage when Team Rocket was around, and part of my dream is to become a protector of humans and Pokémon."
"It's a dream we both share, alongside meeting with the mythical Keldeo once more," Aurora nodded. "He's the one that showed me the power within myself, so I wish to return the favor and continue protecting the world he and the other Swords defend."
"Then I will show you how to bring out the full potential of your team!" Lance said.
"It's totally not also because you both use hax moves to win," Ashton snarked.
"Be nice…" Kris said, coming to Ashton's side and nudging her.
"Okay everyone, gather around so we can get a picture with all the champions together!" the announcer said.
Dylan smiled alongside Aurora, both of them holding their trophy up as the other champions posed for the camera. It had been a long journey going all across the globe, but he could finally say that he was, in fact, a Pokémon Master.

Pokémon World Adventure Ending Theme
"Acadia"
As calm guitar music starts to play we see Dylan, Ashton, and Kris exiting the arena, the three of them surrounded by reporters. Kris rolls her eyes and calls out Queen, the three of them hopping on the Suicune's back and jumping over the reporters as they run off into the distance.
C'mon, let's head towards the light
Shining Crystal clear and bright
Waiting for us… is a brand new beginning!
The trio soon stop in the middle of a flower field, making a small camp and calling out all of their Pokémon.
"So, Mr. World Champion, what are you gonna do next?" Ashton asked.
"I want to go home, first of all. After that, I'll do my champion training with Lance and then…" Dylan looked up at the sky and smiled. "I'll figure out what I want to do next from there."
"And we'll do it together," Aurora said.
Such passion is how everything starts
Forget the reasons why and follow what's in your heart!
"I'm thinking about using my new fame to join one of the battle frontiers," Ashton mused. "Then I can have epic battles all the time!"
"That sounds just like you, Ashton," Dylan laughed.
I look forward to testing my might against worthy opponents, Regulus nodded.
Even in the pouring rain
We can shout out loud and play…
All together! Such a challenge is worth winning!
"I'll be returning to researching with Colress, but you guys better call me every month to tell me what you're doing!" Kris insisted.
We can always keep singing without the Sun
Through your voice or my own, the whole world can sing as one!
Delphi gave a cough to get all of their attention. "As fun as it has been to be with all of you- especially you, Aurora- I think now is the time for me to take my leave. I have so much in this world I want to explore as well… and I'll do so with Joker by my side!"
"Fezant?" Joker tilted his head as Delphi wrapped an arm around him.
"You won't mind me taking him with me, will you, Dylan? It gets lonely on the road," Delphi asked.
Dylan sighed. "You can go with her, Joker. But I'm keeping your Poké Balls registered to my account just to keep you safe, okay?"
"Deal!" Delphi smiled.
The day we both felt lost, we somehow found the way back
Because you and I both found one another on a similar path!
The trio spent the rest of the day together, having a picnic and getting to just have fun after a long trip of adventures. Orochi insisted on training and did so against Mercury and Regulus, while Chi and Queen took a nap alongside Poli'ahu and Delphi.
And through your eyes, as they slowly began to meet mine…
We laugh just to show how we both feel inside!
As the day turned to night, the gang started up at the stars, thinking back to everything they had been through on this journey.
We're still far off from where we want to go
Yet there's no regrets for the life that I've always known!
The trio remembered every gym battle they'd had, their time in ancient Johto, the battles against Team RedHot and Team Cipher, and all of the Pokémon and people they'd met along the way.
I'm here for you (You're here for me!)
We can do anything
As our souls cry out, knowing where we truly belong!
Dylan recalled Aurora achieving her Ancient Guardian Form, Ashton remembered fighting Orochi on Mount Silver, and Kris was reminded of working with Colress to heal Queen.
Through all of the tears and the laughter we share…
Through the good and bad, I know that we can get there!
Delphi suddenly lit a campfire and started dancing around, the other Pokémon getting in on the fun. The Trainers all watched on in amusement at their teams' antics.
I want you here (Right next to me!)
We'll breathe in harmony
Let's watch this exciting tale unfold, no matter where we are!
Off in the distance, Keldeo looked at the scene with a smile. 'They're going to go far, all of them,' he thought before running off.
Oh yeah (Yeah!)
Yeah (Yeah!)
Let's Go!
As the camera pans towards the sky, we look back at everyone that the trio has met over their long journey, starting with Leaf. The Trainer was having a video call with her childhood friends Blue and Red, absolutely floored by what had happened at the world tournament. In Colorado, Skylar was having the time of his life with Sealeo sledding down the slopes.
As we both take our own leaps
I see what we can achieve…
As we travel! No need for us to hurry!
In Vegas, we see Grimsley playing his coin tossing game with a patron, only for Mandibuzz to fly over and grab the coin before it landed. Meanwhile in Hollywood, Luke and his Zorua were presenting their latest student film to a small private audience at his school.
Your steps may be bigger than mine alone, yet my strength…
As I step, takes on more than what is shown!
Back in London, Anabel and Looker were arresting the remnants of Team Cipher, with Ardos, Tabitha, and Aliana being put in the back of a police cruiser. Back in Hawaii, we see Guzma boasting about Ashton to Professor Kukui, the professor just nodding along to his former friend's rant.
Deep into the dark unknown
Telling stories as we go
Laughing away… every fear and all those worries!
In Australia, Marley and Buck were hanging out at the pier alongside Meloetta. In India, Abhay was taking care of his family shrine, which had now become a site for friendly Ghost Pokémon to hang out, much to his dismay.
We can always keep going without the Sun
As long as there is hope, the world shines for everyone!
Off in the desert, Wes was traveling with his Pokémon before running into Miror. B, the former Cipher member turning around and running in the opposite direction. At a concert stadium, Ziggy and Annie were rocking a packed venue as they played alongside their Pokémon.
Holding back all the thoughts that I could never tell you…
Piecing together all the scars… I had to find some kind of clue!
Back in the past, we see Rei going about his studies alongside the Rockruff Kris gave him. In Ultra Space, we see the Ultra Recon Squad investigating a new disturbance, only for it to be Delphi and Joker traveling between worlds, much to their confusion.
But through your eyes, as they slowly began to meet mine…
I smile on as tears fill up my eyes!
In Spain Brandon was working with the Pokémon League to set up the next venue for next year's World Tournament. In Egypt, Khalid was sitting on his throne, smiling as he felt Aurora had come into her the full potential of her lineage.
All those Helping Hands after every fall…
All those gentle words… it doesn't matter at all!
At a fashion show, we see Elesa walking the runway in a new dress was cameras flashed around her. In Mexico, we see Lucia leading some Trainers in a Boss Rush battle.
I'll stay with you (Just stay with me!)
Together we'll believe…
We can go anywhere! The possibilities are endless!
In Japan, Silver is having tea with some of his "friends," Ethan and Lyra as he recalled his battle with Ashton. Mia is also in Japan, looking to find a new student as her fame had gone up after Dylan won the World Tournament.
When we reach the end and accomplish our dreams…
Taking in the sights and seeing all our victories!
At Sky Pillar, Zinnia looks off in the distance, grinning as the Shiny Rayquaza returns to its home. Back in New York, Colress greets Kris as she returns to the lab, asking her many questions about her travels.
I want to be (Right next to you!)
As everything comes true
This sensation I've felt all this time… Is reflected in your eyes!
We see highlights of every battle from the series, all of the ups and downs as Dylan and Ashton grew stronger with every step along the way.
The light from so long ago…
Like a story that's been long told
I would never have seen it if it wasn't for you!
As the two stand at an airport, Ashton sees her family waiting for her, waving goodbye to Dylan as she takes her leave. "See you around, neighbor!" she called.
"I'll be ready for our next battle!" Dylan replied.
Oh yeah (Yeah!)
Yeah (Yeah!)
Let's Go!
Walking away from the airport, Dylan grinned as he called out Vex, hopping onto the back of the Noivern as they decided to take the long flght home.
What awaits us all, we may never know
I'll take hold of your hand and never let it go!
As they went off, Dylan's other Pokémon came out and joined in the journey: Mercury hopping along like a bolt of lightning, Poli'ahu running on the ground with Inari, and Aurora riding with Dylan on Vex's back.
I'm here for you (You're here for me!)
We can do anything
As our souls cry out, knowing where we truly belong!
The group soon arrived at their home, where Dylan's bother Dakota was waiting for them outside. The two brothers shared a hug before fist bumping.
We'll follow the light that we saw on that day
Soon, we'll understand all those reasons that we changed!
"Congrats on being a World Champion, bro!" Dakota said. "We have to battle now to see if I can beat a world champ!"
"Can we do that tomorrow? I'm really tired from all the traveling…" Dylan yawned.
I want you here (Right next to me!)
Together we can see…
Just how this exciting tale unfolds, no matter where we are!
"Just come on in. Mom has enough food for all of your Pokémon," Dakota said with a smile as the group entered the home.
Just know you're always here with me…
No matter where we are!
As they all went inside, the camera pans up to show the trio's silhouettes in the sky alongside all of their Pokémon.
This passion is how everything starts!
This passion is how everything starts!
Dylan, Ashton, and Kris all wave goodbye to the camera as the "Pokémon World Adventure" logo comes back up, ending the series… for now, at least.
Oh yeah (Yeah!)
Yeah (Yeah!)
Let's Go!
Author's Note
TheDragonSaver: Three years… That's how long I've been working on this story. It's been a long journey with a lot of hiatuses, but you can tell how much I've grown in writing just from this story along. Honestly I think writing fanfiction has helped more at times than my college degree did lol.
The songs used in this chapter were "1-2-3 (After The Rain)" which is the Japanese opening for Pokémon Journeys, while the ending theme is the "Acadia" cover by Megami33, who has a lot of great Pokémon song covers.
Me and Azakael are working on a sequel both to this story and her own "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Starstorm Ultra" that we hope you all will enjoy (and with her working on it with me that hopefully means we'll be able to upload it more consistently lol). Until next time, Pokémon Trainers, this is The Dragon Saver, signing off!
Azakael: ... Well, I'll be darned. I felt empty after finishing Starstorm AND I DIDN'T EVEN WRITE THIS ONE BUT I FEEL EMPTY ALL OVER AGAIN, SWEET HEAVENS ABOVE. I've still got vivid memories of sitting around, eating my sad turkey sandwich, and shooting the crap with my buddy here whilst coming up with the freaking opening scene for the first chapter. What can I say- I live for the shenanigans, it's been a good time, and I'm glad to have been involved.
(Also, let it be known that this fool here is the reason I started writing stuff on the internet. I just want that on record- if, when we get to writing said sequel story, anyone is like "Who let this crazy woman out of her cage?" then IT IS ALL HIS FAULT. But yes, I am very much looking forward to that... for better or worse, bwahaha~! ;D )
