Hello everybody Zelda777 here with another chapter of Love in the Twilight Realm. I hope all of you are enjoying the story so far. If you don't want to miss anything please follow. Also if you can please review and tell me what you think. Enjoy.

The Next Day

Link woke up to a knock at his door. He got up and put on the Twili clothing that was in the drawer. But under them was a note.

Dear Link,

Here are some Twili clothing so you would feel more at home. At your earliest convenience please meet me in the throne room.

Sincerely,
Vern
King of Twilight

Link opened the door and his two guards were there.

"Good Morning, Link." Negt said, "I take that you slept well."

Link nodded his head, "Yes, His Majesty summoned me."

"Of course, we will escort you there." Silva said. Link followed them all the way to the throne room. As soon as they got there, Link walked in and bowed.

"Good morning Link," King Vern said.

"Good Morning, Your Majesty," Link replied. "I'm excited to start my magic training."

"That's great to hear, but that's not why I called you here."

Link looked at him curiously and King Vern knew he had his attention.

"I want to know what you think of my daughter Midna."

Link looked down afraid to tell him the truth, but he decided to tell him the truth anyways.

"I think she's beautiful and I love her," Link answered.

King Vern nodded his head, "I figured as much."

"How did you know?" Link asked.

"I noticed the tone of your voice when you said 'I understand.'"

"It was that obvious."

King Vern nodded, "Yes, but does she know you love her?"

Link nodded, "I told her before we came back to the Twilight Realm."

"Is that why she took you here?"

"Yes," Link responded. "Before she shattered the Mirror of Twilight."

Now Link had King Vern's attention. "What do you mean she shattered the Mirror of Twilight?"

"She launched a ball of Twilight energy at it and it shattered as soon as we went through it."

So they don't know that the mirror really can't be shattered. King Vern thought, Should I tell them or not. He decided to not tell them yet because he didn't know how they would react.

"Well, at least she took you here before she shattered the mirror."

Link nodded his head, 'Yes I would have been heartbroken."

"Well, your guards are here to escort you to the magic training academy," King Vern said. "I hope you have fun learning about magic."

"Oh, I will have fun."

Midna walked to the throne room a little bit after Link left to start his magic training.

"Good Morning, father," Midna said.

"Good morning, you just missed Link," King Vern responded, "The elders told me you were distracted during the meeting yesterday."

"I'm sorry, I was just worried about Link." Midna responded, "With him being in a cell again."

"What so you mean again?" King Vern asked.

Midna looked at him wondering if she should tell him about Link turning into a wolf when the Twilight invaded Hyrule.

"Well, when Zant sent the Twilight Beasts to invade Hyrule one grabbed him and pulled him in."

"Then what happened?"

"He turned into a wolf and was thrown into a cell in Hyrule castle."

So he's possibly the one who was destined to unite the Twilight Realm and Hyrule together in a peaceful reunion, King Vern thought.

"He was chained up and I helped him escape." Midna said, "That's when we partnered up."

"But you didn't fall in love with him until later."

Midna shook her head, "No, but at first I didn't care what happened to Link or Hyrule."

"But you saw how nice some of the people could be."

"Yes, how did you know?" Midna asked.

King Vern laughed, "Because, I was the same way."

"Link was the first one to show me how nice some of the people could be."

"Yeah, and your mother was the first one to show me."

"That's funny how we both found someone like that." Midna said, "I hope one day to marry him and have a family together."

King Vern smiled, "Yes, maybe on day."

Link was siting in class when the bell rang. Everyone was getting up and walking out the door.

I wonder where everyone is going. Link thought as he followed everyone.

"Hey, you're Link right," A voice said behind him.

Link turned around and nodded, "Yes, I'm Link and you are?"

"My name is Zard and I'm a trainee as well."

"It's nice to meet you Zard."

"You too," Zard said, "I was hoping you and I could be friends and hang out together after school."

Link looked at him, "Sure, I'd love to be friends with you."

"Meet me outside and we could go to my house so you could meet my mother."

Link nodded, "But, where are we going right now."

"We're heading to the cafeteria."

Link looked at him, "Great, I'm starving."

"Well, wait until we get to my house, my mother can make some great food."

"I'm looking forward to it."

Meanwhile in Hyrule

Zelda was visiting Telma at her bar when Ilia walked up to her.

"Hey, your highness have you seen Link," Ilia asked. "I haven't seen him for three days."

"I haven't seen him in three days either," Zelda answered as Telma looked at Zelda as if to tell her not to say anything about Link in the Twilight Realm.

"Oh, I'm just worried about him is all."

Zelda looked at Ilia and realized that she loved Link as well.

"I'm sure he's fine," Telma said, "He's probably taking a vacation since he defeated Ganondorf.

Link was waiting for Zard outside when his two guards came to get him.

"Are you ready to head back toe the Palace?" Silva asked.

At that moment Zard walked up to Link cautiously.

"Is there a problem Link?" Zard asked.

Link shook his head, "No, these are just my guards."

"Wait, you live in the palace?"

"Yes, I do, but I hope that won't affect our friendship."

"I think it's actually pretty cool."

Link nodded and turned to his guards, "Negt and Silva is it okay if I hang out with my new friend."

"It's fine with us, but we need to check with His Majesty."

Negt teleported away as Silva stayed with Link.

"I'm surprised you made a friend," Silva said.

Zard nodded, "Somehow I can sense how nice people are and besides that, Link here is my first friend that I've ever had."

Link looked at him and smiled when Negt Re-appeared.

"His Majesty said it's alright, but we have to go with you." Negt said.

So the two of them plus the two guards left but Zard led the way.

"So who asked first?" Negt asked, "I mean who suggested to be friends."

"Zard did," Link answered. "Besides, I was looking for a friend."

Negt and Silva looked at each other, "You mean other than Lady Midna."

Zard turned around at the mention of her, "Wait, you're friends with Lady Midna."

"Yeah he is," Silva said. "Why else would Midna bring him from the realm of light to the Twilight Realm.

Link looked down hoping Zard knowing he was from the realm of light will not affect their friendship. As soon as they got there Zard turned to Link and the Guards.

"My mother's going to be excited that I finally have a friend."

Zard walked in, "Mom, I'm home and I brought my new friend."

His mom walked out of the kitchen, "Well send him in."

"Link you can come in now," Zard said as Link walked through the door and the guards followed.

When Zard's mother saw the guards she thought her son was in trouble.

"Is there a problem?"

Negt shook his head, "No Ma'am we are just Link's personal guards."

"Link lives in the palace," Zard said.

Link held out his hand to shake her hand, "It's nice to meet you ma'am."

"Please call me Zirda."

Link nodded, "Of course Zirda."

"You four must be hungry," Zirda said. "Especially since you are home from the academy.

"Zard told me you have some great food."

Midna walked into the throne room wondering where Link is.

"father, do you know where Link is?" Midna asked.

King Vern nodded his head, "Yes, he's hanging out with a friend that he made at the Magic Training Academy."

"It's not a girl is it?"

"Would you be jealous if it was?"

Midna nodded, "Yes, because I love him and I know he loves me."

King Vern laughed, "Well, you don't have to worry about that, because it's a guy."

"Wait, you knew it was a guy?"

"Yes I did."

Midna just shook her head and left the throne room.

Do you think I was right to do that to her?

Three Years Later

Link woke up and he realized that today is the day that he graduates from the Magic Training Academy. He got up and got ready. As soon as he walked out the door Negt and Silva was waiting for him.

"Good morning, Link," Silva said. "I bet you are excited to be finally graduating from the Magic Training Academy."

Link nodded his head, "Yes, I am very excited."

"I also heard that your friend Zard is going to graduate today as well," Negt added. "We need to go see his majesty before you go the academy."

They headed to the throne room. As soon as they got there Link walked in and bowed.

"Good morning, Link," King Vern said.

"Good morning, your majesty."

"Midna and I will try to make it to the Graduation Ceremony."

Link looked at him, "That would mean a lot to me."

"Well, you shouldn't be late on your last day."

Later that Afternoon

Link and Zard were standing next to each other. When the principal stepped up to the podium.

"Today we are celebrating 50 years of graduates." Principal Valt said, "Though this years top of the class is a surprise to all of us staff here at the academy."

The crowd murmured amongst themselves.

"This student has learned the magic in a very short time of three years," Valt said. "It is my honor and privileged to announce this year's top of the class, Link."

Zard slapped Link on the back as Link got up and walked up to the podium.

"I'm honored to be the top of the class," Link started. "But I had some help from a great friend of mine who told me to channel the twilight energy through my body."

At the mention of that Midna smiled.

"Now the runner-up is Zard who completed his lessons in five years."

After the Ceremony

King Vern walked up to Link, "Congratulations Link, on being the top of the class."

"Thank you, your majesty."

"Father can me and Link take a walk alone for a second?" Midna asked.

King Vern nodded his head. So Link and Midna walked off as her father watched them and smiled as he decided to follow them at a distance.

"I'm surprised you were the Top of Your Class," Midna said breaking the silence. "Just like I was when I went to the Magic Training Academy."

"I was really surprised that I was the top of the class," Link said. "How long did it take you to graduate?"

"Four years," Midna responded, "But, just to be clear I didn't have anyone to mentor me."

"Well at least we now have something else in common."

"I have a surprise for you."

Link looked at her, "What is it?"

"You have to close your eyes first."

Link did and Midna leaned in and kissed him. Little did they know King Vern was watching them from the shadows. He smiled when he saw Midna kiss Link.

Well, Link still has a lot to prove. King Vern thought, But I think it will be alright if they are together.

Link blushed after the kiss, "Well, that sure was a surprise."

"Yeah, but my father doesn't need to know about it," Midna said. "It would be our secret."

"Of course, but I feel like he already knows."

Midna looked at him, "Yeah, you're probably right."

Midna walked into the throne room and her father was waiting for her.

"So, how was the kiss," King Vern asked.

Midna blushed, "So you were watching us."

King Vern nodded and laughed, "You are probably wondering if I disapprove."

"Do you?" Midna asked.

"No, quite the opposite."

Midna looked at him, "So, do you trust him now."

"But I know he loves you because whenever he talked about you at the academy he always spoke out of respect." King Vern said, "Also his friend Zard's mother overheard her son and Link talking about how much he loved you."

"That really makes me happy." Midna said.
