The Captain and Maria's wedding night is a reception of splendour, with couples dancing and drinking and Maria feeling like the luckiest woman in the world. But privacy is something that cannot be achieved during their night. Oneshot.

Maria knows she should stay, but wants and needs to go. Knowing that there have been talks of Elsa Shraeder becoming the Captain's wife, she decides to flee from him and the children. A fic about the events leading up to Maria leaving and the unseen events of the Captain trying to find her.

Maria is determined to find out from Georg about the governesses who preceded her. She's willing to use any means necessary. In this crack fic, it turns out that some of them were rather well known.

When Georg returns home to find his children wearing drapes instead of their uniforms, and running around rather than marching and breathing deeply, he is angry. However, the visitor that arrives after his fateful confrontation with the governess at the lake makes him livid. The events of the day force him to re-evaluate his past decisions and his future plans. AU story.

I posted parts of this years ago. I was in a mood so I deleted it. Long story! The moral is never delete writing. Anyway this is a journal from Georg"s POV. It is mostly tied in with the backdrop of the movie. The first chapter is right before he realizes his life is about to change.
