Artemis Fowl II isn't too sure about the Christmas party his mother is throwing. All his friends are invited, but, no one else is, thanks to Artemis's pleading. (That summary is ultimately terrible.)

Post-TLG. Spoilers! "These visits aren't helping him, or you, Holly. I think it would be best, for both of you, if you didn't visit for a while." In the end, they got Artemis back. They all did, except Holly. With no other option, she is forced to grieve.

This is what I think would be a great story idea after the last book in the series. Artemis's soul enters into the clone created in the Chrysalis. But he wasn't the only soul floating around, waiting for a body to inhabit.

SPOILERS FOR TLG. Foaly was wrong. Artemis was not a free-floating spirit wandering the Earth during the six months following the incident at the Beserker's Gate. With a score of -1, Artemis was sent to the Underworld, with a deadline to escape in time to enter the clone. And worse still, a particular megalomaniac pixie was waiting for him there, thirsty for revenge.
