Robert and Sergeant - ch. 1
Robert was in love with Jack Thorton's horse. Whenever he could, he went to the stable and gave the horse care and affection. It was a black horse, a beautiful mountie-trained horse and perfect for Jack Thorton and Professor Elizabeth's today. Robert already had it in his head, that he would be a mountie like his heroes Jack Thorton, he would be as brave and as brave as he was when he entered and became a mountie and that he would have a horse as a sergeant who would be his confidant and his best friend.
