Summary

Kaito is a local resident of the region. He joined Takuma and his friends to chase his sister after he ran off to visit the forbidden shrine, where they were all transported him to another world. Kaito hates anything unfair and has a strong sense of justice, but he lends to act on his own authority, never relying others. He is also quick to resort to violence to solve issues. Kaito cares deeply for his sister, although they fight constantly due to his poor communication skills.

Reason for Joining

Kaito was already at a loss over his sister Miu, and her frequent goofy behavior. At the same time, he was constantly worried for her safety. Just today, Miu vanished when his back was turned for the briefest of moments. Could she be caught up in some trouble, and hurt somewhere? Is some bad guy doing something terrible to her? He was searching high and low, clinging to these worries, when he met Takuma's group for the first time.

Prologue

Hey! I'm home!

Wait...

When I came home from school, the sun had nearly set.

But I noticed my little sister Miu's shoes weren't by the door.

Mom! Where's Miu?

Mom stuck her head out from the kitchen and told me Miu hadn't come home yet.

What?! It's nearly dark out already!

If Miu's out on her own, something bad could happen again!

Mom starts to say that I worry too much about her, but I'm already gone.

Out the door, into the fading light.

Dammit, Miu! It'll be dark soon.

I try to call her phone, but she doesn't pick up.

Why does she keep doing this to me?!

I was furious at Miu for going off alone again, but mostly I was pissed at myself.

I failed her before... when it mattered most. I can't let that happen again.

Miu, I won't let you down again. Please don't cry anymore.

I'll save you!

I have to protect Miu.

Even if I destroy the world trying...

Episodes

We met up with Kaito in the other world. He's clearly wary of anyone he runs into, possibly out of concern for his sister. Even now, he looks ready to bite our heads off. His wisecracking partner Dracmon seems cool as a cucumber, though.

He may be rough around the edges, but Kaito is a reliable part of the team. I don't approve of violence, but we'll need to fight if we want to make it in this world. In that sense, Kaito seems to fit right in here.

Even I can tell how attached Kaito is to his sister. If you asked her, she'd probably call him more clingy than anything else. Still, her presence may be the secret behind Kaito's strength...

Miu's not the only thing Kaito's been trying to protect. He wants to protect everything she holds dear... So his sister doesn't have to have any terrible, painful feelings ever again. That powerful wish transformed into power itself, evolving Dracmon into Beelzemon. Maybe his feelings for Miu got through to her a little now?

I don't know if he realizes it, but this almost endless journey of ours has changed him. Now he wields his strength not just for Miu, but for all of us... Gotta say, it's kinda cool.

Dracmon

Summary

Dracmon is a fearless trickster Digimon. Kaito and Dracmon maintain a good working relationship as Dracmon advises him to remain calm and think deeply to prevent Kaito from losing his temper.

Thinking

Dracmon is a Kemonogami that's been with Kaito ever since he showed up in the other world. He's as belligerent and hard-nosed as Kaito, making him a reliable and powerful ally in battle. Dracmon always prioritizes victory, and is willing to use his allies towards that end. Still, he's more pragmatic than cruel, always taking the most appropriate action.
