After finding out his aunt and uncle had perished, Luke returns to Obi-Wan, the droids, and Adira. He gets out of the speeder and walks directly to Adira, she gives him a soft expression, the first time he's ever seen her this soft. He'd only met her not even an hour prior, but something in him makes him want to hug her, want to hold on to her for dear life and never let go. And so, he does hug her, wrapping his arms around her and placing his forehead on her shoulder. She froze for a moment, but awkwardly hugs back. Obi-Wan lets them have their moment before walking up to them and pulling Luke apart from Adira.
"There was nothing you could've done. You would've been killed too," He points out.
"Obi-Wan's right, Luke." Adira assured him.
"I want to go with you both and become a Jedi. There's nothing left for me here…" Obi-Wan looks at him with a sad smile, while Adira places a hand on his shoulder.
"You will also join the Rebellion, we need a new pilot and you seem to be just the man for the job!" Luke would've perked up with a smile, but the thought of his Aunt and Uncle still lingered in his mind.
They speed along to Mos Eisley Space Port. they speed along until they were stopped by Stormtroopers, Adira keeps her head down and lets her long hair cover the symbol of their enemy on her chest.
"How long have you had these droids?" One of them asks.
"About three or four seasons," Luke answers.
"Hey! Look! My reader says that lady is a vampire! Are you allowed to be on this planet, Ma'am?" The other asked Adira.
"I have every right to be here as you are," Adira responds not moving her head an inch.
"Let me see your identification" The original told Adira.
"You don't need to see her identification," Obi-Wan told the stormtroopers.
"We don't need to see her identification," The stormtrooper repeated, as in a trance.
"These aren't the droids nor vampire your looking for,"
"These aren't the droids nor vampire we're looking for,"
"Move along"
"Move along," The Stormtrooper repeated Obi-Wan and they were allowed to move.
They park the speeder at the entrance to a cantina. They enter and were immediately stopped by the bartender.
"Hey! Get them out of here! We don't serve their kind here!"
"He's talking about the droids" Adira beamed.
"It'd probably be best if we do wait outside," said 3PO. And C3PO and R2-D2 go outside and wait.
"This place is full of creeps… I have your back," Adira whispers in Luke's ear which made him shudder. He walks over to the bar and Adira follows. Luke orders and drink and Adira orders one as well.
"I thought vampires only drink blood?" Luke said as he watches Adira consume the beverage.
"We can live without it for a while. But I am getting thirsty for some." She smirked at him. Then a creature hits Luke and Luke looks at him. He looks back, keeping his head down and then a man with a big nose turns him around.
"He doesn't like you," The man said.
"Sorry," Luke responded then went back to look down.
The man forcefully turns him around. "I don't like you either! You'd best watch yourself, we're wanted men!"
"I'll be careful then" Luke is then forced to look at them again.
"You'll be dead-" The man with the distorted face gets cut off by Adira suddenly behind him.
"mm! My throat! So dry!" the man turns around and sees his demise.
her red eyes start to glow and she bares her teeth, saliva dripping down her mouth and she quickly strikes his neck. He screams for a second and the other alien was trying to pry her off of him when Obi-Wan slices his arm off with his light saber.
Luke was too fixated by Adira draining the life out of this man. Finally the man stops struggling and goes limp as he was now dead. she lets go of him and he drops to the floor.
There was blood on her lips and she licked her lips clean. "Ahhh! that was delicious… although, humans taste better."
Bewildered and awestruck by what Adira just did, Luke just nods once slowly and gives a quiet "uh-huh…"
Obi-wan nods to a big furry creature that was behind him and walks over to Luke while the Wookiee goes and finds his partner.
"Chewbacca here is first mate on a ship that might suit us." He said to Luke and Adira.
"Good, let's get outta here!" Adira said, grabbing her drink glass and takes it with her.
All three sit at a table waiting for Chewbacca to come back. he does and says that his partner will be here shortly.
After a while, a man appears, taking a seat.
"I'm Han Solo, Captain of the Millenium Falcon. Chewie here tells me your looking for passage to the Alderaan System?"
"Yes, Indeed, Is it a fast ship?"
"Are you kidding? It made the Kessel run with only 12 parsecs!"
"oooh! Very fascinating." Adira said, sarcastically. She takes a sip of her drink.
Han looks at Adira. "Question: Why is she wearing sunglasses indoors? It's pretty dark in here"
"Oh well, that's none of your damn business! Now is it?" Adira replied even though the question was aimed at Obi-Wan.
they lock eyes for a second, Han and Adira, and he reaches a hand over and waves in front of her face. She shows an annoyed expression on her face.
"I'm not blind, pretty boy." She says in an annoyed tone.
"Okay, just checking,"
he pauses and looks over at Ben again. "What's the cargo"
"Only passengers: just me, the boy, the woman, and two droids."
"well looks like the empire may not like you guys."
"let's just say we like to go without the empire noticing us."
"alright… 10,000 up front!" Han said.
Luke was shocked. "10,000?!" Obi-Wan and Adira look at Luke. "We could buy a whole ship for that amount!"
"And who's gonna fly it kid? You?"
"you bet I could I'm not such a bad pilot myself- we don't have to sit here and-" BONK! Adira hits Luke in the head and he sits back down and quiets down.
"we can pay you 2,000 now and 15 when we get to Alderaan."
Han looks at Ben with wide eyes. "Seventeen?!" Obi-Wan nods.
Han smiles. "Alright you got yourselves a ship. We'll leave as soon as you're ready. Docking Bay 94."
"ninety-four" Adira repeats.
Han looks over. "Looks like someone's interested in your handiwork"
Adira sniffs the air. "Stormtroopers…!" Adira snarls and all three quickly get up and are out of sight. They leave the Cantina before the Stormtroopers could catch them
"You'll have to sell your speeder," Obi-Wan says to Luke.
"That's okay, I'm never coming back to this planet again!" Luke says.
"That's the spirit! This planet is a hell hole anyway!" Adira smirks at Luke.
"Still can't get over that you're a vampire and you just sucked that guy clean"
"Trust me, Luke, she still surprises me everyday!" Obi-Wan agreed,
"Aww! Thank you boys! Now let's get to Docking Bay 94 before we get caught!" Adira says leading both men to the docking bays.
"Agreed, Out of sight and out of mind" Obi-Wan states and he puts his hood up and Adira slips in and out of the crowds easily.
