They reach Docking Bay 94 with ease… for now. The three find Han cleaning the outside part of it.
"what a piece of junk!" Luke exclaims. Adira bursts out laughing, not caring how loud she was with her laughing. "Ohh stars! that is fantastic, Luke! It sure is!" Obi-Wan just sighs. Just like her and Luke's father back in the old days.
"She may not look much but she'll get us there! Go on inside, we'll leave shortly." Han said. Obi-Wan, Luke, and Adira walk up the ramp and into the ship. Chewie follows them and enters cockpit.
suddenly, Stormtroopers appear and start blasting. Han blasts one and rushes up into the ship. "Chewie get us outta here!" The Wookiee yells out in response and starts up the ship.
The Millenium Falcon levitates off the ground. It's a bumpy ride, breaking the atmosphere, so everyone buckles in.
"oh my. I'd forgotten how much I hate space travel!" C3PO said.
they break the atmosphere and are in space. Imperial cruisers start chasing them.
"why don't you outrun them? I thought you said this thing was fast!" Luke said.
"watch your mouth, kid, or you're gonna find yourself floating home!" Han retorted.
"oh please! Just focus on the task at hand!" Adira shouted. Han looks at Adira with an annoyed expression then turns to face his controls.
"we'll be safe enough once we make the jump to hyperspace. Besides I know a few maneuvers, we'll lose 'em!"
the ship starts to shake around.
"this is where the fun begins" Han says sarcastically.
"how long before you can jump to lightspeed?" Obi-Wan asked in which Han answers. "It'll take a few moments to get the coordinates from the navicomputer,"
"are you kidding? At the rate they're gaining?" Luke whines out.
"traveling through hyperspace ain't like dusting crops, boy. without precise calculations we'd fly right through a star or bounce too close to a supernova, and that would end your trip real quick."
"oh my stars! Shut the fuck up!!" Adira yelled, clearly annoyed by the two bickering at each other.
"what's that flashing?" Luke asks, completely ignoring Adira. Han slaps Luke hand away. "We're losing a deflector shield. Go strap yourselves in I'm gonna make the jump to light speed!" The three exit the cockpit and go and strap themselves in and they make the jump.
Adira straps herself in and Luke does so next to her. "You need to learn to keep your mouth shut, boy!"
obi-wan interrupts Luke, who was about to answer her.
"leave him alone, Adira, you know, he's just like his father"
"yeah, he was whiner too and it gave me such a headache!"
Luke was about to argue back when the ship finally calmed down.
"I think this is an excellent time to start your Jedi Training!" Obi-Wan said that on purpose so that the two wouldn't argue anymore. They unstrap themselves and Ben walks over to Adira, who was still looking angry.
"Hold on, Luke. Adira, may I speak to you in private?" Obi-Wan says, sternly. Adira actually looked scared but goes off with him. Once Ben knew they were by themselves, he looks at Adira straight in her covered up eyes.
"Listen, I know it's been 19 years since Anakin left us, and you're not used to being with a Skywalker recently. But please be patient with him."
"be patient?! Are you kidding!? He's too much like his father! This boy will be the death of me!"
"not so loud!" Ben whispers harshly. "He's got a lot of growing up to do. But I know, one day, you'll grow to love him,"
"not like I did with Anakin. He was my one and only, and he was taken from me!"
"I know you're still hurt from what happened, but you must move on! He'd want you to," Obi wan said to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. Adira looks at his hand that was on her shoulder, then looks back into Ben's kind, old eyes. She sighs. Talking with Ben and just being around him always made her calm. Even when Anakin did something stupid that got them all in danger or trouble.
"Fine… I'll try my best to be patient with Luke… But only for you, my good friend!" She whispers at him. He smiles at her and she smiles back at him. His kind smile always made Adira smile back. It felt like ages since Adira smiled so genuinely.
As soon as they returned, Luke, 3PO, and R2 were waiting on them, and Adira had her cold stone expression back on. Ben walks over to Luke and whispers to him.
"Please be patient with Adira, she's still grieving about your father. But to be honest, I've never seen her this cold." he admits to the young boy.
"Was she and my father close?" Luke asks Ben.
"They were very close, best of friends, and believe it or not, Adira would joke and smile, and was actually happy. And she was nice. Hardly ever called people names unless they deserved it…" Ben looks over at Luke who was staring at Adira. Adira, was ignoring them, she could hear what they were saying despite their hushed tones. Adira is a vampire, after all, her senses are so strong.
Ben could tell what Luke was thinking. Luke suddenly had the urge to make her happy again. If he could do that… well, maybe she wouldn't be such an asshole.
"How do you suppose I—?" Luke started and Ben knew what he was asking.
"Make her happy again? I'm afraid I do not know… Getting close to her on a personal level will be difficult. But she's with you until the day you die. So you two will have to get along eventually."
Adira heard that and she pretended that didn't effect her at all. She was good at keeping up cold appearances while being emotional on the inside. So while she kept on like she didn't hear anything, she felt a wave of reality hit her. Yes, she will have to be by his side until the day he dies.
Suddenly, Chewbacca comes out and asks R2 for a game of Dejarik Holochess. R2 agrees and they start a game. Adira gets up from her seat and walks over to the Wookiee and droids and watches while Ben and Luke do some Jedi Training.
After a while of training, Ben suddenly looked like he was in pain and placed a hand on his chest. Adira took notice before Luke did and she rushed over to his side in record speed.
"Obi-Wan! Are you okay? What happened?" Adira asked him, concerned. Luke rushes to his side as well.
"I felt a great disturbance in the Force… as if millions of voices cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened." Adira looked scared and concerned over what that "Terrible Thing" might be. She was around the Jedi for a long time and knows that when they feel a disturbance and it's described as something scary as that, well, let's just say Adira was terrified on the inside.
Ben looks over at Luke. "You better continue your exercises." Luke goes back to his exercises while Adira rubs Ben's back in comfort.
Han finally decided to join everyone. He made his presence known by saying. "You can forget about those Imperial Slugs, I told you I'd outrun them!" He sits down near Ben. Luke was busy concentrating on the zapping droid and no one was saying anything.
"Don't everybody thank me at once" Han said. "Anyway, We'll be at Alderaan in 0200 hours," He continued.
Suddenly, Chewbacca yells out loudly because R2 won the game.
"He made a fair move, screaming about it won't help you." C3PO said to Chewie.
"Let him have it, it's not wise to upset a Wookiee." Han said to the golden droid.
"But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a droid," 3PO responds to Han.
"That's cause a droid doesn't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they lose." Han said with a smirk.
"Wookiee's are known to do that," Han finished while Chewie placed his hands behind his back and C3PO looking at the Wookiee scared.
"I see your point, sir. I suggest a new strategy R2, let the Wookiee win," R2 beeps in protest.
Luke is continuing to dodge the zaps with his light saber, however is doing it with so much on his mind. Ben watches Luke.
"Are you feeling better now, Obi-Wan?" Adira asks Ben.
"Yes, thank you, my friend. the headache's gone," Adira moves away from Ben and goes and sits where she was in the beginning, next to Chewie.
"Remember, a Jedi can feel the Force flowing through him" Ben reminded Luke.
"You mean it can control your actions?" Luke asks, not breaking eye contact with the zapping droid.
"Partially," Ben replied. "But it also obeys your commands"
Suddenly, the droid zaps him in the behind. "Ouch!"
Adira busts out laughing, "Oh man! You should've seen your face when it zapped your ass!" "I'm glad you think this is funny!" Luke says, aggravated.
"Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a blaster at your side, kid!" Han says to Luke. Luke turns off his light saber. "You don't believe in the force, do you?" Luke asks Han.
"Kid, I've flown from one side of the galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, But I've never seen anything that makes me believe there's one all-powerful force controlling everything. There's no mystical energy field controls my destiny" Han explains.
"Oh really? Cause I've been around this entire galaxy as well, and I've seen the Force, first hand. I've worked with powerful Jedi and I can tell you, pretty boy, that the Force is, indeed, real." Adira explains to Han, almost in a bragging manner.
"It's all a bunch of simple tricks and nonsense," Han finishes it there and Adira sneers at him.
