FEAR EFFECT

Quick... I have to get to my position quickly, so many thoughts were running through my head as I hurried and walked to get to the command room, the thousands of possibilities that my brain booster is starting to calculate certainly don't help me stay calm either.
Plus this long damn hallway I have to walk down to get to the command room. Who was the damn genius who thought making long hallways was a really good idea?
If I ever find him, I'll be sure to give him a piece of my thoughts and shove them up his ass.
But that's something I can deal with at another time, what I need to do is focus on what's coming now. In this nightmare situation that is happening right now.
The arrival of a third extraterrestrial contact.
Only this time, instead of it being a single contact with a Kritket ship. We are encountering multiple contacts arriving from very far away from AEU territory.
My head full of fears could only compare this situation with what happened in the Second Verdict War. History repeats itself, a planet full of millions of inhabitants vaporized by the fire of a new race discovered by humanity.
And it doesn't matter if I organize the men to put up a good fight, these Xenos will kill them one way or another. But at least he hoped to cause that much damage to those bastards. It would make victory costly for them in one way or another.
The guards protecting the command room are now easier to distinguish, soldiers equipped with the Angriff III battle suits, standard models for all soldiers, which offer resistance against weapons with a power of 40%, in addition to providing a shield of Elxter particles that protects the wearer from any outside damage, with a helmet which allows soldiers to be in a vacuum for a long time.
A good armor for all soldiers, nothing compared to the Praetor armor of the Apex Warriors, but it will certainly save your life when the time comes. Right now we'll need soldiers with that kind of armor on the field if we want to get out of here in one piece.
And with the Falcon Blaster IV of Semi-Solid Energy, the weapon coming equipped with an Omega-bladed bayonet will certainly give any hapless Xeno a hard time.
The soldiers recognized my rank as field commander and saluted, putting their straight line and placing it above their heads. I, rushing to get to the command center, nodded to them, and entered at full speed to the command center.
And what I saw was something that was practically waiting for me in this scary situation.
People were running all over the place, trying to coordinate for the shit storm that is about to hit us, some even froze, staring at the central hologram of the command room that projected a hologram of the multiple flashing red lights arriving inside. shortly towards the Kryx star system…
…
…they will arrive to us within 30 minutes.
A promotee in a senior officer's uniform immediately noted my presence. He turned to look at everyone else in the room. To then shout out loud "COMMANDER IN THE ROOM!"
Immediately those who were frozen with fear reacted, greeting me as tradition indicates. But right now I don't give a shit about tradition, right now I have to take action and organize things.
"Rest" Everyone stopped greeting me and stared at me, I hate when I'm the center of attention, even more so in shitty situations. But there's no one else here but me, so I have to handle this shit properly. "Okay, now what's the situation of our troops so far?"
…
…
…Nothing… not a single word came out of the mouths of the people here, all completely terrified by what was about to happen. And who wouldn't be... I'm as terrified as they are, possibly more.
Fortunately for me…someone finally spoke up.
"Commander Williams" The artificial voice which came from the holographic central table sounded, in the right corner the image of a woman materialized, with an outfit that was very reminiscent of the old pilots of World War II, with a hair on her head. shaped like a chestnut horse and green eyes.
The IS Astera, in charge of obtaining intelligence and coordinating the planet's robotic militia, is also a very good friend and expert in handling different types of shitty situations.
I was relieved to see that Astera would be with us in this shit storm. I look at her with complete seriousness and ask her, "It's good to have you with us Astera, can you give me a report on the situation?"
Astera's avatar nods its head and says "with pleasure, sir." The hologram that showed the multiple contacts changed to show a complete map of the planet, the area that had several cities on the surface.
The 4 main cities of Yamaru, Fozkell, Altiria, and New Kryxir, were connected by 4 hypergravity roads and several other minor ones of greater importance and vulnerable to anyone trying to use them.
"As you can see, we have four major cities, all police forces and local militias are being alerted as we speak." I approach the table, seeing several pockets of concentration in the cities showing me that all the armed forces in the area were preparing for the arrival of the invaders.
Well, that will allow us to prepare the local forces to place several lines of defense, as well as place the Steel Rangers in activation to take positions on top of buildings and inside the streets. We would force them to fight for every inch of land.
As far as I'm aware of the Steel Rangers variants. There are the standard Sword multi-role units, the heavy and powerful Titans, the precise Cyclops, and the Angel airspeeds. The men who pilot those great machines will be our ace up our sleeve.
"Okay, I want you to place the self-deploying barricades on the main streets of the cities, have the Steel Rangers wait inside the cities, adopt steel wall tactics to protect the city, tell the Angel pilots to wait until the landing ships come into range so you can shoot them down." My voice continued to flow every idea and strategy I managed to produce through my brain drive.
" Yes sir, AEU space has already been alerted, a fleet should be arriving within 12 galactic hours" Finally I hear some brilliant good news.
"Okay, now returning to the situation in the void, is the Epsilon Prime defensive station operational?" If it's still working now, at least we'll have something to hurt them within space.
The Epsilon defensive station boasts the firepower of a battlecruiser, the system was commanded by Astera. She should give these new contacts a beating they'll never forget
"Affirmative sir, I have the station under my control to deal with them. I will try to eliminate as many as I can with the station under my control... but I don't promise that I can take down all of them, it will barely have the energy to deliver 5 shots."
"Well, as many ships or objects that try to invade our planet are shot down, the better... I want to see the sky full of debris from those things." I said that last part with such coldness and determination, that even I was surprised that he was able to speak with that tone.
"As you order, commander, good luck." With that said Astera's avatar disappeared, surely waiting for those objects to be visible to her and to eliminate them.
I turn to the rest of the people in the room and shout, "!Prepare all the armed forces we have¡ ¡Activate the red alert and all civilians go to the bunkers! ¡NOW!"
Everyone started working, working like ants to enforce my order, everyone here knows what we have to do. Everyone here is now ready to fight the unknown once again.
I just hope we can make some kind of difference.

Damn them…
Damn each one of them, damn these slavers and their desire to have more slaves, damn those who forced them to be trapped in this situation with their people.
Damn the citadel council and its policies, I would continue cursing them all the time. If I had the time to do it.
Because right now, time is not something that is in our favor. For me and the rest of all of us.
Sparks caused by the sudden short circuit of our systems jumped from the controls, the occasional jolt that made everyone flinch, and explosions due to some container of explosive material could be heard from where we were.
We could also hear the cries and cries of pain coming from the depths of the ship. Surely the cries of the wounded and dying who beg for help and salvation.
It pains me to know that many people inside the ship I am piloting may die soon. The helplessness of not being able to do anything to help them was such that I sincerely considered abandoning my position and helping to repair this ship in some way.
…
…
…but not…. They need me here to get us out of all this, and until I'm finally sure we'll be safe, I don't plan on resting at all.
Not with a whole damn slave fleet after us.
An even greater jolt staggered anyone on the ship, some of them fell backward and forwards, most of them unharmed, the unlucky few who hit their face on something hard, their masks broke causing greater panic among the people. the civilians who were roaming throughout the ship.
I wanted to curse those damn slavers. But the voice of one of the ship's technicians shouted in panic, "Captain! We are entering the system!" As our technician had said, we stopped sailing through the Mass Relay and entered the vacuum of space.
"I want a ship damage report now!" I screamed, desperate to know how damaged the ship was, if the ship's engines were still intact, then maybe we could fly away to another system far away from these damn slavers, it would be such a relief.
…if they manage to get out of this unknown sector to begin with.
"Captain! The ship's shields have been disabled, the weapons systems are at 20% capacity! We lost 3 of the 6 engines! We don't have the power to leave the system!" Curse! I knew it was too much to ask for a miracle!
Bosh'tet!
…
…
...Well Zorah... think, you didn't become an admiral just by knowing how to dismantle a Geth, you were chosen as admiral of the Quarian fleet for a reason. Not to be consumed by panic at the first sign of trouble.
Well, the reactors are at half power. Which reduces its mobility power. But at least we can park ourselves on a planet.
I look at the Quarian ship's radar operator and ask, "Is there a planet near us ?" "
The ship's radar operator, who heard my words, worked tirelessly to try to locate any planet very close to our position.
We all waited in silence to receive a promising answer.
And just as I was expecting, we received a
"There is a garden planet not far from where we are! It would take us about 30 minutes to reach the planet!" Just what I wanted to hear!
"Good! Put the engines into overdrive! Take us to the planet and don't stop no matter what!" All the Quarians began to work quickly. I could only sit there, watching everyone do their best to get us out of this situation.
The ship began to move, propelled through the vacuum of space by what little power the engines could provide in these dark times.
A Damn it!
I knew it was a bad idea to try to establish ourselves on a planet very close to one of the citadel patrol fleet routes. But what other option did we have at that time?
Resources were running out and we needed to resupply. I could say we did it, we found a planet that contained the resources we needed to keep the ships afloat.
But since it was a known route of a patrol fleet, we had to flee that place as quickly as possible... leaving my daughter Tali with her mother in the process.
…
…
…I just… I hope they are okay, wherever they are.
…
…
…I am a fool… a fool who abandoned his daughter and wife into the hands of the Citadel… but at least, they will be safe within their space. I mean sure we are still hated for creating the Geth and all... but at least some of the Citadel races care about my kind.
If there is at least… the possibility that my daughter and my wife ended up in a much safer place than this shit… I swear that I will not leave their side, for the rest of my life.
…
…But to keep that promise… I have to get everyone out of this situation.
"Captain! The Slavers broke through the relay en masse!" The radio operator's voice caused an immediate sinking feeling in my stomach. Just as he had feared, the pirates had already passed through the relay en masse.
It was a matter of minutes.
Now I could only say one thing to my compatriots inside this ship "Let all remaining power be diverted to the engines! Get us as far away from them as we can!" The officers under my command began to carry out the orders, aware of what could happen if we did not get away from them as quickly as possible. Furthermore, I am more than sure that most of them would prefer to kill themselves, rather than even end up as slaves to the damned Batarians.
And I won't let that happen, those Bosh'tet would have to walk over my corpse if they want my people as slaves.
I could feel how the ship's engines roared with great power, propelling us at high speeds directly to our destination and possible last salvation.
The minutes of the trip seemed eternal, I was looking forward to reaching that ship, apart from that I could feel the explosions coming from the depths of the ship, the damn weapons of the slave ships are tearing this ship into pieces, little by little.
It won't be long before this ship explodes into a ball of fire, I estimate we will have about 40 minutes before the ship is completely inoperable.
Come on... don't fail us now, not when we can get out of here.
Another explosion shook the ship, but it was unlike the others that began to damage the structure of the ship. It was more serious damage, we all staggered from the massive explosion that could have come from deep within the ship. I pray it wasn't a section full of Quarians.
"Damage report!" I shouted to the technicians and operators of the ship, trying to give me a quick answer. I pray to whatever damn deity there is that it's nothing serious... but that's kind of a lot to ask really.
A Quarian operator projected an image of the ship's structure, showing sections of it in red "Multiple damages to the ship's hull! The hangar and engine room are severely damaged! And we are losing energy as we speak!"
Damn… we can't stop now, we have to continue.
"Don't stop then no matter what happens!" We have to continue, we have to stay alive one way or another. We have to stay alive.
And soon… just as I had hoped would happen, the planet was visible to all of us.
A planet with a single mega continent in it, with extensive green lands, snow-covered mountains, and a swamp in the south of the planet, with a large ice island on one side of the continent. A perfect place for colonization, if one is ever carried out.
But something was wrong with the planet... there was something about it that didn't fit with the view of this planet like something had been placed in that place that shouldn't have been there. I hope that for everything sacred that exists, that is not what I am thinking right now.
…
…
…my fears came true. When a massive object became visible to all of us, I'm more than sure the slavers could see it too. An object of such size cannot go unnoticed by anyone.
Not even a damn Varren could miss this damn great structure.
An artifact that appears to have been built around a large sphere, which has a large glowing orange eye in the center, with several rings around it, revolving around the large mechanical eye. And generating a kind of white glowing particle in the process. Which were spread by billions in the rings of the floating sphere.
The most disconcerting thing about this, apart from how polished and advanced this gigantic artifact seemed to be, was that it could be 10 times larger than the largest Asari war cruiser in existence at the time. It was that damn glowing orange eye that was staring at them.
The feeling that comes over me is similar to how I feel when the Geths stare at me while I disarm them, that's the kind of feeling I'm having right now. Only now multiplied by 100 times.
Fear soon took control of my entire body, even my crew who were trying to take us to the surface of this planet froze in the process. The fear we felt was overwhelming. A station this massive must store a huge amount of energy.
And to think that that machine was aware of our existence is terrifying. Looked at us carefully as if we were strangers to him.
Thousands of questions formed in my mind as I looked at this enormous station, that looked back at us.
Could the Geths create an artifact of such magnitude? Was it expanding beyond the Veil of Perseus? Could they create this station? Is it even Geth to begin with? Many things were going through my mind at this time.
One thing was for sure, and that was something all of us knew by now, hell, Bosh'tet the slavers may also know what this means.
…
…this planet is inhabited… and none of us are responsible for colonizing this place.
And just when I thought things couldn't get much worse. They got worse than what I could ever think of.
Because suddenly the three rings around the eye began to rotate rapidly, generating an even greater amount of particles than there were before, almost as if a storm was generating in front of us.
The particles expanded around the great eye, only for them to suddenly stop and begin to converge in the center of said eye. The light generated by this great eye began to shine more intensely, almost as if it were suffering from a large envelope. massive energy load.
I honestly think the thing could explode because of... whatever is driving it.
…
…
…I wish it had been like that.
…
…
A powerful orange ray emerged from the center of the eye. Which was heading directly towards us.
"All the power of the engines to the right!" I roared as fast as I could react, one of the ship's operators must have thought of this long before me.
But we weren't very fast.
Although we managed to deflect the ship's beam, it did not prevent it from hitting the ship and sending much of the rear section of the ship into oblivion, destroying two engines and leaving them with only one operable engine.
The ship could be said to have shaken completely as if an Earthquake simply decided to appear on our ship and shook the very foundations of this ship.
We all found ourselves in different places from where we were before, if I could put it in better terms, you could say that I was thrown to another place from my seat as admiral of this ship, right now I was on top of one of the ship's consoles.
I look up and see how the eye returned to generate even more particles, looking in our direction the eye must be seeing the slave ships that are behind us.
The station fired another laser beam, which passed us by and most likely landed a fatal shot at one of the slave ships.
Honestly, I would feel flattered and scream with excitement at this development... but right now things are not how I imagined they would happen.
The ship which is in a weakened state began to moan, we could all hear how the structure of the ship began to collapse. With explosions inside the ship that shook us to the core. But that wasn't the worst of all.
The worst came when the ship began to descend rapidly... heading towards the planet, the rules of gravity of each of the planets began to completely take control of the ship. Dragging it to the very floors of this planet.
…
…and the only thing I could do was scream in terror. While we fell uncontrollably to the surface of the planet.

Well… this is it, isn't it? This is what you have been training for David... you have got ready for this precise moment... you always wanted to be the brave soldier who would fight against the violent Xenos that exist in space.
I always imagined myself as the soldier who would lead the others to fight against the dark forces that exist in this galaxy. I joined the Krix militia because of that announcement I took out of the Great Roswell Flow. It showed a human and an ascended joining the star guard, with a Borax dragon flying behind them and spitting flames at the two, but the two men reappeared from the flames, wearing the standard Angriff III combat armor. and scaring away the dragon of Borax with his mere presence.
That simple announcement was the only thing that made me join the star guard, to be a soldier who stands up against whatever this galaxy can throw at it...heh. It seems that my wish came true.
What I always wanted to happen is now happening, the wet desire of any guy who wants to kill aliens and be the hero of the story... I wonder... what my great-great-grandfather would have thought if he saw me right now. My grandfather told me that it was a blessing not to have been born at that time. Plus he would have reprimanded me for joining the star guard.
...I would have responded that he was exaggerating... that nothing bad could happen, that everything would turn out well, and that there would be no need for him to participate in combat unless some pirate group decided that it was a good time to attack.
And yes, at the beginning of my service as a space guard nothing bad happened, I completed the training offered by the star guard, which amounted to a grand training regimen of 13 galactic months. Plus I made good friends in the process.
Jean Torres, is a very good friend with an explosive attitude and the rudest woman I have seen in the group. The expert in the best explosions in this entire sector.
Ethan Welters, the muscle of the team with the desire to deliver the strongest blow in the galaxy, of this group of misfits. The best muscles Kryx has to offer.
Chris Evans, the best shooter of us all, is also the funny one of us all. The best comedian that can be found in this corner of the galaxy.
Max Stonier, the loyal bad boy of the group, always had our backs for any screw-up that happened and punched anyone in the face who tried to do something against us.
And Shanra Yinmag my best friend and girlfriend, the ascendant of the Verdamhound class group, the smartest of the group, and who takes care of all of us. The love of my life.
And last but not least me. David Fenix, the leader of the Whiskey 00 squad. And the so-called knight in shining armor.
Shanra and I have been friends since childhood, we were born here and grew up here, sharing special moments, we always went to all kinds of places together and did all kinds of things. So when I told her I was joining the star guard, she supported me and said she was thinking about joining the star guard too.
It was a huge stroke of luck that she and I ended up in the same barracks, that's where we met the rest of our quirky friends. At first, we didn't talk to each other that much.
But over time we got to know each other better, strengthening our friendship until we became everyone's best friends. We shared secrets and when we told them that Shanra and I were dating they supported us, wishing us luck in our relationship and supporting her completely.
We were two weeks away from finishing our service in the Star Guard, and I had many things planned with Shanra, I was going to ask her to marry him in the Pantiux Hills and I was going to invite the rest of our group.
It was going to be a dream.
…
…but now…that idea seems so distant.
"Hey David, are you ready!" Max's shout brought me out of my thoughts, forcing me to focus on the now, I looked to the right, seeing Max in an Angriff III battle suit, Ethian in a Kratak III heavy suit, and Sarah in the Sigstar III shock armor.
To my right, Shanra is in an Ascent III transmutation suit and Chris is in Watcher III precision armor.
Everyone stared at me, I could feel the worry behind their helmets, surely everyone knew I was scared to fight against unknown Xenos.
I have to allay their fears.
"Y-Yes, I'm ready, sorry guys, I was thinking about something less important...sorry" I tell them as I get up from the chair where I was.
Shanra approaches me and asks, "Are you sure you're okay, David?" I wanted to tell him that yes, that everything was really fine, that nothing bad was happening with me.
"y-yes Shanra, I…I'm fine" damn, I can't even say my words correctly. But can you blame me?
I'm honestly terrified, terrified at the possibility that these Xenos are so much more advanced than us. Heck, we could be dealing with beings that are similar to Ucid or even much worse.
It could be that we encounter beings much more advanced and terrifying than the Ucid.
A terrifying idea that enveloped me with fear, I could feel how my entire body inside this armor wanted to tremble completely with fear.
…
…
…but I can't break down right now… not in front of my squad and not in front of my girlfriend. That would be demoralizing and would further affect the tense atmosphere in the air.
I take a few deep breaths and begin to calm down, I look at the rest of my team who are watching me and I tell them to calm their fears "OK now, calm down guys, I'm fine, just a little agitated by the news from the higher-ups."
Jean snorts at my words "Yeah, don't fuck Sherlink, everyone is as stiff as a damn corpse, I mean just look at them" Jean says while pointing out a window at the militia forces that are parked all over the highway. gravity of the city.
I looked out a window having a clear view of how all the other star guard groups were just as stiff as me, most probably scared of the shit storm that was about to come.
You couldn't see well from the outside because of all the Steelfrix armor and Nueraxs gel fiber suit. But he could say with complete certainty that every soldier was stiff with fear.
Surely they were going through the same thing as me, thinking that we would deal with a much more powerful threat than the old Ucid.
I can't judge them for feeling afraid, I had been feeling it a few seconds ago.
For that reason I have to appear stoic to my group, I can't let things get any bleaker than they already are.
"Yes... I can see that" Then I look at the rest of my squad and tell them "Very good... We have already finished placing the Therimax Mines at the designated points"
Shanra responds evenly "Yes sir" Her wrist generates a hologram which she throws in the middle of all of us, showing the hyperway that we were tasked with protecting "All the Therimax mines have been placed, we placed around 20 charges to blow up any type of armored vehicle that they have, in addition to helping the India 02 Gulf 07 and Beta 01 squadrons to place anti-armor emplacements on the roofs of several buildings" the hologram illuminated each of the mentioned objects in orange.
I nod at Shanra's words "I can see that, the higher-ups have ordered us to help the 20th Star Guard regiment protect the city of New Kryxir in case the Xenos try to invade this city, we will be stationed between the streets of Nueva Berlinés and Osoria 04, in one of the buildings to provide fire support to the forces on the ground" I say while the hologram that was in the middle of my squad showed a map of said city, indicating the exact position of where we will be located.
Max raises his hand, I look at him and ask "Yes Max?" He suddenly lowers his hand and asks me, "Will we have support on the roof?"
I nod "Yes, the Omega 01 and Fenix 09 squadrons will help us cover the people on the ground, we will also make sure to establish an ASC to eliminate anything that passes through the atmosphere of our planet."
Jean suddenly says "Well, I was hoping to fight Xenos after a long time" Ethan snorts and says "Well your wish is granted Jean, we will have lots of Xenos entering the atmosphere" Ethan looks at me and asks "Will we have anti-armor weapons in case that they have vehicles"
"We will only have two Thunder Arrow Destroyer Cannons with 4 charges and a Hammer Lord Missile Launcher with 3 rockets… so select key targets to use them on, we cannot afford to waste shots against simple infantry forces… if there are any," I say grimly. that last part. We won't have many things for this defense, but at least I hope I can do a lot of damage by destroying things important to the Xenos.
Shanra nods and says "Understood captain, I would recommend that Chris handle the TA and Jean the HL, they both know how to handle these weapons much better than us, it would also be good to have death zones inside the structures where we can catch them"
"It can work, but we are limited in support… we could place a Sentinel on the lower floors to protect the stairs, it would adequately protect the facilities in case they try to enter" an idea that worked perfectly.
The Sentinels are large autonomous machines about 3 meters high, they also have a holographic Elxter shield and a Triple Turret in hand to tear anyone within their range to pieces.
A weapon like the Thunder Arrow would be needed to destroy a machine like that.
"Well, with that over, we should start heading towards our position than before-"
*BOOM*
We all got scared the instant a massive explosion exploded above our heads, and everyone's heads went to the sky. And what we saw was enough proof I needed to know that these Xenos were here and were ready to fight.
A massive ship was falling from the sky, engulfed in fire and several other objects were on fire and falling at thermal speeds to Kryx, it seemed like they were going to fall not far from our position, most likely it would fall in the center of all of them. the cities.
It may be a good thing, because if they fall in the center of all the cities of Kryx, then it would give us the opportunity to prepare a massive counteroffensive against these Xenos. But of course, always assume that they agree with this decision.
I looked at my squad and saw how they followed the giant ship that continued descending with their eyes. We have to head to our positions now
"We have to go to our position now! Come on! Come on!" I ran quickly towards the exit of this building, listening as my squad followed my steps. The soldiers who were still on the hypergravity roads became aware of what was happening and began to rush, placing themselves in their assigned defense positions and activating their Blasters.
Ready for combat.
Meanwhile, I was looking for the ATAV to take us to our combat position, we have to get there now.
I didn't have to look much when I saw the ATAV with the drawing of a Devoker painted on the side of the ATAV, which was being loaded with the squads and weapons that we would use to defend our position.
I look at my squad who already had their weapons ready and tell them "Double time! We have to get there now!" With that said I run to the ATAV, activating my Falcon Blaster in the process.
The officer from our defense group looks at me and says, "It's about time they arrived! Get on the ATAV! Now!" Following his orders I immediately got into the vehicle, sitting in one of the 20 seats it can provide. I could see how 14 seats were occupied and the rest were unoccupied so that we could settle inside.
My squad entered the ATAV without saying a single word to the soldiers who were inside the ATAV, all concentrated on what was about to come right now. We had been training for this very moment, after all, to protect civilians and innocents from the darkness of the Xenos.
This is what I signed up for, right?
…
…
…No?

"Everyone gets into the Bunkers! Now! Now! Now!" roared one of the armored subjects, pointing to a large room made of metal, the people around us ran in fear directly into this large room. Everyone is completely scared of whatever is happening.
I was terrified, my mom was carrying me while I was running in the middle of the sea of people who were entering this bunker, trying to get into that room along with all the people who were desperately trying to get through.
Mami managed to get through this crowd, hugging me with a strength that she had never given me before when it came to hugging me. The bright lights that flashed yellow made everything even brighter. more confusing.
I wanted to ask mommy what was happening, I wanted to know why people were completely terrified.
When the entire place suddenly shook, the floor itself caused the people within this entire room to stagger and scream even more in fear… I also screamed in terror.
My mother also screamed in terror, everyone inside this large room screamed in terror of what was happening outside this place.
I looked towards the entrance of this place, watching as the door began to close and people slipped through the large metal door that was closing. The last thing I saw before the doors closed completely was those guys in shiny armor, readying those big guns and standing outside.

The time has come.
…The Xenos Ships that were outside the ozone layer of Kryx began to enter the atmosphere of our home. Astera managed to shoot down 6 of the 20 Ships that were in her sights, I would have liked it to have been more but unfortunately for everyone, she barely had enough shots to shoot them all down.
But at least it helped us by eliminating 6 of those Xenos ships, one unfortunately crashed in the middle of all the cities and the other 5 exploded in a fireball in the planet's orbit. The space station right now is resisting the constant bombardment of those Xenos ships.
However, according to Astera reports, the damage that the weapons cause to the station's shields is minimal. He also informed us that after a scan of the station's systems, he discovered that the technology of these Xenos invaders is based mainly on element zero.
Why base all your technology on an element that only allows you to travel to certain established points in the galaxy?
The only use we give to element zero is for batteries with short energy life and damn paints.
I don't see how Element Zero can be better than Elxter.
But enough of those thoughts now, I have to focus on what will happen now.
And that's because the Xenos ships are starting to land their forces.
The hologram of the command center projected an image of the planet's orbit, the rest of the intact Xenos ships that were still active began to descend to the planet, entering the atmosphere and moving them away from the reach of the Epsilon defense station.
Which led me to wonder one thing.
Why didn't the Xenos shoot us with the weapons they had on their ships? Are they so confident that they will eliminate us with just their ground forces? Don't they have enough firepower to take us out?
Be that as it may, this implies a big problem, we will not have the firepower on the ground to be able to eliminate those ships. Most likely they will try to establish a terrestrial head at a point on the planet's surface.
With the function of deploying troops and a temporary base of operations for the invasion forces.
The ASC will be able to eliminate as many ground landing craft as they try to land, unfortunately, not all of them, and the Steel Rangers will be able to destroy any armor they have among them. But we don't have anything that can take out those damn spaceships.
We will have to take advantage of everything we have at hand then, we will create a deadly labyrinth for these Xenos. We will turn buildings into forts to prevent their advance and we will transform every street into a death trap for them.
We can do this.
"Commander! "The ships have already entered the planet's atmosphere!" according to the words of a superior officer, the ships have already crossed the atmosphere and parked in the middle of the cities, right above the first ship that Astera shot down.
I shout out to everyone the moment we have been waiting for "Let all units take their positions! "Astera!"
Astera's avatar suddenly appeared on the side of the hologram "Yes commander?"
"Activate the Automated Guard! direct all humanities to support the forces we have in the field! "
"As you say commander... good luck" With that said, she disappeared from the hologram, surely returning to her central core to be able to direct all the automated units.
Now is the time to find out what these Xenos are capable of, it's the moment of truth
…It's time to open the gates of hell to these Xenos and pray to whatever deity that the fleet arrives in time.

Hey people how are you?
If you're wondering why I decided to restart my Mass Effect story, well let's say that after reviewing everything I wanted to do with the story and how I wanted it to progress.
I realized that I wouldn't achieve any of that, apart from the great spelling horrors that the original story had.
So I decided to reboot it completely and create a different version of the story.
Don't forget to follow my story if you like it, as it encourages me to continue writing this story.
Without anything else to say, see you, beautiful people.
