Team CMSN and CFVY walk trough the streets of Vale, looking around at all the many shops and decorations being set up in preparation for the Vytal festival.

"Alright, I'm gonna remind SPECIFICALLY YOU Enerald!" Cunder says pointing to Emerald. "No stealing anything, no pick pocketing, none of that." She states as Enerakd sighs.

"Fine." Emerald says reluctantly.

Cinder looks around, she notices Coco is missing.

"Wait where's Coco!?" She asks.

"She went to buy more clothes." Yatsu states as Velvet sits on his shoulders and snaps pictures.

Fox and Neo sit and chat, using Fox's semblance.

"I'm still rememberin that time we managed to slip sleeping pills into Obleck's coffee. I mean it was ridiculous how many we had to put in there. I'm surprised we didn't kill him or something." Neo communicates and laughs.

Fox chuckles. "Yeah, quite frankly I don't know how he even stayed awake. That man is a walking coffee machine." Fox communicates and chuckles, until this his arm.

"Fox, Neo, we need you to go get Coco. We're gonna go look for food. We'll send you a message when we find the place." Cinder says. Fox smiles and responds as he stretches.

"Alright, sounds easy."

Neo nods and follows Fox.

Team RWBY walks trough the streets of Vale. They eye the various decorations. Weiss smiles. They see a banner reading 'Welcome to Vale'

"The Vytal festival! Oh this is absolutely wonderful!" Weiss says excitedly.

"I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much Weiss. It's kinda weirding me out." Ruby says.

"How could you not smile!? A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances, parades, a tournament! Oh the amount of planning and organization that goes into this even is simply breathtaking!" Weiss babbles on about as they walk.

"You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring." Yang responds.

"Quiet, you!" Weiss says in responce.

"Remind me why we're wasting our Friday afternoon to visits these stupid docks?" Yang questions as they arrive to the docks. They stare at the ships and sea. Until the stench hits them.

"Ugh they smell like fish" Ruby says as she punches her nose.

"I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And as a representative of beacon I feel as though it is my solum duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom." Weiss says as she starts to lead them away from where they were standing.

"She wants to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament." Blake states. Knowing exactly what Weiss is planning.

"You can't prove that!"

Weiss says, quickly turning around.

"Woah." Ruby says as she stares at a dust shop with police tape lining it. Everyone walks over to her. They walk up to a detective.

"What happened here?" Ruby asks.

The detective looks at her.

"Robbery. Second dust shop hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle." The detective says as he walks away.

"That's terrible." Yang says.

"They left all the money again." One of the detectives say. Ruby turns her head to listen.

"Eh. Just don't make any sense. Who needs that much dust?" One of the detectives ask.

"Eh I don't know." One responds.

"I'm thinkin white fang maybe?" One responds.

"I'm- you mean red fang, and I'm thinking that we don't get payed enough to care." One of them says as he walks away.

"Hmph. The white fang, red fang same thing. Just an awful bunch of degenerates" Weiss says as she scoffs.

"What's your problem?" Blake asks.

"I simply don't for a bunch of terrorists." Weiss says.

"The white fang are not a bunch of terrorists. They're a collection of faunus dedicated to protecting other faunus. You're thinking of the red fang and you're still wrong. They're just a group of misguided faunus. And either way it doesn't explain why they robbed a dust shop." Blake explains as she stands there with her arms crossed.

"Blakes got a point… besides the police never caught that Torchwick guy I ran into a few months ago. maybe it was him?" Ruby says.

"That still doesn't change the fact that the white and red fang are a bunch of scum. Those faunus only know how to lie, cheat, and steal." Weiss says confidently. Blake looks at her, she looks pissed. Yang and Ruby look at her in shock.

"What about Velvet?" Yang asks. "She's not any of those things." Yang continues until she's interrupted.

"Hey! Stop that faunus!" A man yells. They turn and run to the docks. They see a blonde monkey faunus wearing only pants, shoes, and an unbuttoned shirt running on top of one of the ships. He hops onto the side of the ship and smiles at the men chasing him.

"Thanks for the ride!" He yells to them as he jumps onto the pier and running. He hops up and hangs upside down on one of the many wooden arches. He pulls out a banana and starts eating it.

"You no good stowaway!" One of the men shouts.

"Hey a no good stowaway would've been caught! I'm a great stowaway!" The monkey faunus shouts as he eats his banana.

"Hey! Get down from there this instant." One of the detectives say. The only responce he gets is a banana peel to the face. The faunus hops on top of the arch and laughs. Before jumping away, he looks back then starts running. The detectives give chase. He runs past team RWBY and when Blake sees him time seems to slow. They lock eyes and he smiles. Then time returns to normal as he passes and keeps running.

"Well Weiss you wanted to see the competition. And there it goes." Yang says with a smile as Weiss groans. "Quick! We must observe him!" Weiss says as she gives chase. Everyone else follows behind her.

Cinder sends a message to Fox and Neo on her scroll. "Hey guys, found this Pizza place. Sending the address and street." She then sends the name, address, and street name to them. She looks across the street at a dust shop with police tape covering it and white gang members and detectives looking into it.

"Huh. Wonder why they're looking into this." Cinder says as she looks at the dust shop.

"Wonder why." Mercury says as he sits down.

"Must've had something to do with a faunus then."

"Whadya mean?" Mercury asks as he looks at her.

"The White fang are allowed to take any cases regarding Faunus into their own hands. Example if a faunus kills someone they're allowed to take in and try them for their crimes instead of the regular legal system. Used to prevent false arrests and whatnot and has a track record of working pretty well." Cinder explains as she then looks at everyone else as they arrive. Velvet looks at the dust shop and sees the White fang members. She smiles slightly then sits next to Mercury and Cinder alongside Emerald. Coco, Yatsu, Fox, and Neo sit across from them.

"Nice place you picked out." Coco compliments with a smile.

"Thank Velvet. Picked out this place." Cinder says as she points to Velvet. Who smiles. Until they hear running. They see police chasing a monkey faunus. Until they're stopped by white fang members.

"Hey. This is a White Fang issue now. Explain what happened and we'll do our job." One of the white fang member explain.

"He's a stowaway! And he threw a banana peel on my face!" One of the detectives yell.

"Alright, alright, we'll get him. Just go-" they're interrupted as team RWBY runs by them.

"Huh. Wonder what they're doing." Cinder says as she looks out at the commotion.

"Who cares?" Coco says. "It's our day off. Let's try to relax." Coco says as she sits back, he bags on the floor next to her, filled with various new clothes.

"Agreed." Fox says.

"We should probably order now." Yatsu adds.

Cinder sits there, still staring at the dust shop. Curiosity killing her.

"Hold on. Gonna do something." Cinder says as she gets up.

"Be. Right back." She says then walks out of the restaurant. She walks up to one of the White Fang members.

"Uh hey, do you know what happened here?" Cinder asks. The man looks to her and smiles.

"Red Fang robbery. Weirdly enough took all the dust and none of the cash." He says, oddly willing to reveal information.

"Huh. That's odd." Cinder says.

"Why're you askin? Just curious or looking to investigate?" The man asks the chuckles.

"Just curious." Cinder responds.

"Alright kid, be safe." The man responds as he leans against the wall.

Weiss runs after the monkey Faunus. She turns a corner then runs into someone. They both fall down. Weiss quickly looks up and sees the monkey faunus jump up and onto a roof.

"No he got away!" She yells.

"Uh… Weiss?" Yang says as she looks and sees Weiss still on top of on orange haired girl. Weiss looks and sees the girl smiling at her. She jumps back, frightened.

"Salutations!" The girl says excitedly while waving.

"Oh… uh… hello." Ruby says as she looks down and the girl.

"Are you… okay?" Yang asks.

"I'm wonderful! Thank you for asking!" The girl responds happily.

Team RWBY all look at each other, confused.

"Do you… wanna get up?" Yang asks. The girl thinks for a few seconds then nods and smiles.

"Yes!" She says as she jumps up. Shen then turns to face them.

"My name is Penny! It's a pleasure to meet you!" Penny says as she looks at them.

"Hi Penny. I'm Ruby" Ruby says.

"I'm Weiss." Weiss says.

"Blake." Blake states.

"Are you sure you didn't hit your head?" Yang asks. She's then hit by Blake. "Oh, I mean, I'm Yang." Yang says.

"It's a pleasure to meet you!" Penny says happily.

"You already said that." Weiss says.

Penny pauses for a second.

"So I did!" Penny responds.

"Well sorry for running into you." Weiss says as the team starts to walk away.

"Take care friend." Ruby says. Penny hears that, she can't believe it, 'friend?' She must be mishearing things.

"She was.. weird." Yang says.

"Now… where did that faunus riffraff run off to?" She turns and sees Penny standing in front of them.

"What did you call me?" She asks.

"Oh I'm really sorry! I definitely didn't think you heard me!" Yang explains until Penny speaks.

"No, not you." She says as she walks past Weiss, Yang, and Blake. Until she's standing in front of Ruby. "You." She says.

"Me!? I don't know what I um-" Ruby says confused.

"You called me friend! Am I really your friend!?" Penny asks, her voice full of wonder and excitement. The mere thought of someone wanting to be her friend filled her with joy.

"Uh… yeah sure! Why not?" Ruby says with a smile. Penny then bursts with joy and excitement.

"Sensational! We can paint our nails! And try on clothes! And talk about cute boys!" Penny says with excitement. She finally has a friend, her first friend, this excites her, her prayer had been answered!

"Uh… is this why it was like when you met me?" Ruby asks Weiss.

"No. She seems far more coordinated." Weiss says.

"So.. what're you doing in Vale?" Yang asks.

"I'm here to fight in the tournament." Penny stares.

"Wait.. you're fighting in the tournament?" Weiss asks.

"I'm combat ready!" Penny says while giving a salute.

"Forgive me but you hardly look the part." Weiss says.

"Says the girl wearing a dress." Blake responds.

"It's a combat skirt." Weiss responds. Ruby stands next to her and gives her a "yeah!" Weiss hood her hand out for a high five and Ruby gives one.

"Wait a minute." Weiss says as she walks up to a still smiling Penny. "If you're here for the tournament, then does that mean you know that money tailed rapscallion?" Weiss asks.

"The who?" Penny asks, confused.

Weiss pulls out a a badly done drawing of the faunus.

"The filthy faunus from the boat!" Weiss says. Again, shocking both Ruby and Yang.

"Why do you keep saying that?! Stop calling him a rapscallion, stop calling him a degenerate! He's a person!" Blake says, angered by how racist Weiss is being.

"Oh, I'm sorry, would you like me to stop referring to the trashcan as a trashcan, or this lamppost as a lamppost?" Weiss says.

"Stop it!" Blake yell.

"Stop what? He clearly broke the law! Give him time and he'll probably join up with those other faunus in the red fang!" Weiss says. Blake clenched her fists and groans I'm anger.

"You ignorant little brat!" Blake says as she walks away.

"How dare you talk to me like that! I'm your teammate!" Weiss yells and she follows Blake.

"Uh… I think we should probably go. Yang says as she watches Weiss and Blake argue.

"Where are we going?" Penny asks. Blake and Weiss argue on and on even when they get back to their dorms.

"You realize you're defending an organization that hates humanity right!?" Weiss asks. The faunus of both the white and red fang are pure evil!" Weiss states.

"There's no such thing as pure evil! Why do you think they hate humanity so much!? It's because of people like Cardin! People like you that force the white fang to have to take drastic measures sometimes! You're the reason the red fang exists! If you hadn't made so many faunus hate you for your bigotry then you wouldn't have to deal with them!" Blake yells.

"People like me!?" Weiss asks.

"You discriminatory!" Blake yells.

"I'm a victim!" Weiss yells. "You want to know why I hate the white fang and red fang?" Weiss asks. "Why I don't trust the faunus? It because they've been at war with my family for years. Actual war. The white fang don't care when we get robbed. They just take the case and throw it out. Never try to investigate, never help. Constantly trying to get us in any trouble. My grandfather's company has had a giant target painted on its back since I was born. And ever since I was a child I've watched family friends disappear, bored members executed. An entire train car of dust stolen. All by the red fang. And the white fang did nothing about it. Left the cases to rot. Having legal immunity. And everyday my father would come home furious because of it. And that made for a very difficult childhood." Weiss explains. Ruby puts her hand on Weiss' shoulder.

"Weiss I-" Ruby is cut off by Weiss pushing her back.

"No! You wanna know why I despise them? It's because they're a bunch of liars, thieves, and murderers!" Weiss yells.

"Well maybe it's because we're tired of being pushed around!" Blake yells out. She then realizes what she said. Everyone back away as they all look shocked.

"I- I-" Blake says before running off.

"Blake! Wait come back!" Ruby yells as Blake runs off.

Blake runs trough beacon until she's in the courtyard. She walks to the statue and stares at it. She takes off her bow. Showing her cat ears as she wipes away a tear.

"Knew you'd look better without the bow." Someone says. Blake wipe around and sees that monkey faunus from earlier.

Ruby wakes up, looking down and seeing Blake still not in her bed.

The rest of team RWBY except for Blake, walk trough the streets of Vale looking for Blake.

"She's been gone all weekend." Ruby says.

"Blakes a big girl. I'm sure she can handle herself." Weiss says.

"Weiss come on! She's one of our teammates." Yang says.

"Is she?" Weiss asks. "We all heard what she said." Weiss says.

"Maybe she is, maybe she isn't. Either way she's missing and we need to find her." Yang says.

"A member of the white fang or god forbid the red fang right underneath our noses!" Weiss says.

"I just hope she's okay." Ruby says while looking down. They notice Cinder, Mercury, Emerald, Neo, Velvet, and Fox all standing and talking to each other. They approach them.

"Hey, have you guys seen Blake?" Ruby asks, hoping that they have.

"Nope. She's still missing?" Velvet asks.

"Yeah. Probably with her red fang buddies. Hope you don't decide to follow her Velvet" Weiss says.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Velvet asks.

"Well since you're both faunus-" Weiss is then cut off by Cinder.

"You know, if you're gonna be a racist then you can leave." Cinder says. Weiss opens her mouth to respond but is quickly interrupted.

"You wanna be a racist then go. Your team might up up with it but I won't. So either shut your goddamn mouth or I'll shut it for you." Cinder says, sick of Weiss at this point. "For the last two goddamn days I've stood here and listened to you be borderline or actually racist about Blake and that faunus you guys chased. I'm surprised you haven't said anything explicitly racist to Velvet yet. I, nor any of us have to listen to you, you goddamn ignorant asshole. Shut the hell up." Cinder rants. Weiss stands there shocked.

"How dare-" Weiss is cut off.

"I don't care what you're going to say. Shut up." Cinder says.

"Now, I'll be happy to help you guys. And I'm pretty sure all of us will. Besides, we haven't had much to do." Cinder says to Ruby and smiles.

Blake sips a cup of tea. Then looks at sun. He holds his tea cup using his tail. He takes a sip.

"So. You wanna know more about me?" Blake asks.
