"Finally she speaks!" Sun says as he hits across from Blake. "Two days and you've given me nothing but small talk and weird looks." Sun says with a smile. Blake frowns.
"Yeah, like that." Sun says. His tail moving upward as of to point at her.
"Sun… are you familiar with the red fang?" Blake asks.
"Of course. I don't think there's a faunus on the planet who hasn't heard of them." Sun says. Still holding his team cup with his tail.
"Stupid holier than thou creeps that just want nothing more than to kill humans. Bunch of terrorists if you ask me." Sun responds.
Blake sips her tea; then sets the cup down.
"I was once a member of the Red Fang." Blake responds.
Sun chokes on his tea in surprise.
"Wait a minute, you were a member of the Red Fang!?" Sun asks, shocked.
"That's right. I was a member for most my teenage years. When I was born I was original a member of the white fang. The more peaceful of the two. They protect the faunus. Patrol faunus neighborhoods, stop police brutality, and make sure that the legal system isn't screwing us over. The red fang were a small group. Lead by and made up of people blinded by hate for humanity. They took that hate out by harming innocent people. Ransacking SDC facilities, which for the most part I and the white fang don't have a problem with. It's the car bombs, murder, and attempted enslavement we have a problem with. They're not fighting for equality. Their violence is only to inflict pain. Not for any purpose like ours is, it's just to hurt people." Blake explains. "Once I had my moment of realization I left. I realized what I was doing was making the world a worse place. I realized that I was only going to make the hate for faunus much worse. I decided that being a huntress, making the world a better place could make the image of faunus much, much better. So that's what I'm doing." Blake explains.
"So here I am. A criminal hiding in plain view. All with the help of a little black bow." Blake says as she wiggles her cat ears under her bow.
"So. Have you told your friends any of this?" Sun asks. His tone sound much more serious. Blake looks down and closes her eyes.
"Blake!" Ruby and everyone else except Weiss yell out repeatedly.
Ruby then turns to Weiss.
"Weiss, you aren't helping!" Ruby says.
"You know who could help? The-" Mercury cuts her off
"If you say 'the police' one more time I'm pulling a Yatsu and throwing you into a trashcan." Mercury says.
"I'm with Mercury on that one." Yang says. "Listen, Weiss, I think we should hear her side of the story on this one before we jump to any conclusions." Yang says as they all keep walking.
"I think when we hear it you'll all realize that I was right." Weiss says. She plans to say more before Mercury and Cidner both look back at her. She shuts up reluctantly and keeps walking.
"And I think Weiss' hair looks wonderful today!" Penny says as she follows them. Everyone jumps back in surprise.
"Penny where did you come from!?" Ruby yells out in shock.
"Hey guys! Oh who are they?" Penny asks as she points to Cinder, Mercury, Emerald, Neo, Fox, and Velvet.
Oh they're our friends.
"I'm Cinder, this is Mercury" She point to Mercury.
"Sup." Is all he says.
"This is Emerald." She continues.
"Nice bow…" Emerald says, eyeing the bow before Cinder slaps her in the back of the head.
"This is Neo." Cinder says as Neo simply waves.
"I'm Fox." Fox says.
"Uh hi! I'm Velvet!" Velvet says while giving a smile.
"It is all so nice to meet you all!" Penny says while smiling. "What are you all up to?" Penny asks.
"We're looking for our friend, Blake." Yang says.
"Oh! You mean the faunus girl!" Penny says in realization.
"Wait… how did you know?" Ruby asks.
"Uh, the cat ears." Penny responds.
"What cat ears? She wears a… bow…" Yang says, coming to a realization.
"She does like tuna a lot." Ruby whispers.
"So, where is she?" Penny asks.
"We don't know. She's been using since Friday." Ruby responds. Penny runs up to her and grabs her.
"That's terrible! Well don't you worry Ruby my friend! I work rest until we find your teammate!" Penny says seriously.
"Ah that's nice of you Penny but we're-we're okay really! We're got enough help! Right guys?" She looks and sees Weiss and Yang gone. Cinder looks at Penny and smiles.
"The more the merrier." She says, welcoming Penny to help.
"So… what's the plan now?" Sun asks Blake as they walk trough the street.
"I still don't believe the Red Fang are entirely behind these robberies. They've never needed that much dust before." Blake explains. Deep in thought.
"What if they did?" Sun asks. "I mean, the only way to prove that they didn't do it is to go to the place where they would most likely go to if they were going to do it and not find them there." Sun says. "Right?" Sun asks.
"The thing is, I have no idea where that would be." Blake says.
"Well, while I was on the ship I heard some guys talking about off load a huge shipment of dust coming in from Atlas." Sun explains.
"How huge?" Blake asks.
"Huge. Big Schnee company freighter." Sun says.
"You're sure?" Blake questions.
Yang and Weiss walk out of a shop.
"Thanks anyways." Yang says to the woman in the shop as the door closes.
"This is hopeless." Yang says as she stands there. "You really don't care if we find her do you?" Yang asks Weiss.
"Don't be stupid. Of course I do. I'm just afraid of what she'll say when we find her. The innocent never run, Yang." Weiss says as they keeps walking.
"So, Blake is your friend?" Penny asks Ruby.
"Yes Penny." Ruby responds.
"And you're mad at her?" Penny questions. Not understand how someone could be mad at their friend.
"Yes Penny, well I'm not. Weiss is." Ruby says.
"Is she friends with Blake?" Penny asks.
"Well that's kinda up in the air." Ruby says.
"But why?" Penny asks.
"Well you see, Blake might not be who we thought she was.
"Is she trans?" Penny asks.
"No. No Penny, at least not that we know. And if she is then that doesn't matter. I don't know what she is. She didn't exactly talk to us before she decided to run off." Ruby explains.
"I don't have a lot of friends. But if I did I would want them to talk to me about things." Penny says as she looks at Ruby.
"Me to." Ruby says as they walk.
Blake and Sun hear the loud horn honk in the distance as the ship docks. The SDC logo on its side.
"Did I miss anything?" Sun asks as he hops down.
"Not really. they've offloaded all the crates from the boat. Ow they're just sitting there." Blake responds.
"Cool. I stole you some food." Sun says.
"Do you alway break the law without a second thought?" Blake asks.
"Hey weren't you a terrorist or something?" Sun asks. Blake frowns.
"Okay, too soon." Sun says as suddenly a loud engine can be heard they look up and see a bulkhead fly down to the docks. They watch as several Red Fang members walk out of the aircraft. They're white and black outfits with their symbol on the back of the shirt indicating who they are.
"That them?" Sun asks.
"Yes. It's them." Blake responds.
They watch as more walk out. Some holding rifles. A high ranking looking member walks out.
"Alright. Grab the toe cables and get working." He orders.
"You really didn't think they were behind it did you?" Sun asks.
"No. I think deep down that I knew." Blake says as she watches. "I just didn't wanna be right." She says.
"Hey! What's the hold up?!" Roman yells as he walks out. "We're not exactly the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves at the moment. So why don't you animals try to pick up the pace." Roman says as he twirls his cane.
"This isn't right. The Red Fang would never work with a human. Especially not one like that." Blake says as she stands up and draws her weapons.
"Hey what're you doing?!" Sun yells out as he watches her jump down and run towards them.
"No you idiot, this isn't a leash!" Roman says before Blake gets behind him and puts her weapon to his throat.
"What the- oh for f-" Roman is I Stanton cut off.
"Nobody move! Blake yells as multiple Red fang members hold their weapons up to her.
"Woah! Take it easy there little lady." Roman says as they surround them. She eyes then and takes off her bow, showing her ears.
"Brothers and sisters of the Red Fang! Why are you aiding this scum!?" Blake asks. The members look down in thought before raising their weapons again.
"Oh kid, didn't you get the memo?" Roman asks.
"What're you talking about?" Blake asks.
"The Red Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together." Roman says with a smirk.
"Tell me what it is or I'll put a permanent end to your little operation." Blake says. Suddenly two more bullheads arrive.
"I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation." Roman says. He smirks and moves his cane a little and fires. An explosion erupts behind him and launches Blake away.
Ruby, Penny, Cinder, Mercury, Emerald, Neo, Fox, and Velvet all gear the explosion. They turn in the direction of the docks.
"Ah crap." Emerald says.
Roman aims his cane at Blake who lies on the ground. Blake looks up as an explosive is fired right at her. She rolls and narrowly avoided the explosion. Roman keeps firing and Blake keeps dodging I using her semblance to do so at certain points. Blake runs behind a building. Roman starts walk forwards.
"Here kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty." Roman says tauntingly. He stops walking as a banana Pell falls onto his hat. He looks up and removes the peel as sun jumps down and kick him in the head. Sun rolls and flips and lands on his feet. He turns to face him.
"Leave her alone." Sun says as he faces Roman. More Red fang members jump from the bullheads. Landing behind Roman and Sun.
"You are not the brightest banana in the bunch are ya kid?" Roman says as he faces Sun. The Red fang members run at sun. Sun grabs one's arm pulls him in and elbow him in the face the picks him and and throws him into two more. Sun kicks one into the face then drops down punches on in the nuts before pulling his weapons out and converting them to staff mode. Smacking one in the stomach then quickly turning and striking in the head. Then he strikes it into the ground, releasing a small explosion and knocking everyone to the ground. Then he quickly performs a windmill and kicks those still conscious. He then picks one of the men up and throws him at Roman who moves out of the way. Roman fires an explosive at Sun bum sun spins his staff fast enough to block the round. Blake jumps down and ruses Roman.
"He's mine!" Blake yells as brings her blade down. Roman blocks the swings his cane. Blake ducks then stands up. She tries to strik but blocks them Roman twirls his cane rapidly and attempts to strike agiain but Blake dodges attempts to strike him. He blocks but she gets behind him and she again attacks. He blocks she gets behind, overwhelming his defenses until he's facing her again. She strikes, he block. She's fighting now with both her sheath and blade. Roman successfully punches her and knocks her back. They keep trading blows and blocks until Roman strikes her chin then hits her head twice. She's knocked to the ground. Sun joins back into the fight by drop kicking Roman. He gets up and diss assembles his staff, putting them into their nunchuck forms. He strikes Roman's cane then fires a shot at him. He swings then fires before switching to the other end and firing again. He swing and strikes and fires rapidly with both his shotgun-nunchuck hybrids. Making a blur of fire, red and gold. Quickly overwhelming Roman. Blake comes in and strikes him in the stomach launching him back. Roman looks up and sees a shipping container above them. He quickly stands up and fires at it. Cutting it loose and dropping it. Sun and Blake dodge it. Sun is suddenly caught on end of Roman's cane.
"Hey!" Roman turns and sees Ruby standing on top of a building. Her weapon out.
"Oh hello Red! Isn't it past your bed time?" Roman taunts.
"Ruby are these people your friends?" Penny asks as she walks next to her.
"Penny get back! It's about to get hectic." Ruby says facing Penny. Roman aims his Cane at Ruby until it's suddenly shot from his hand. He manages to pull the trigger in time firing an explosive that hits Ruby. Penny frowns and loos angry.
Roman turns and sees Cinder standing there alongside Emerald, Mercury and Neo.
"Looks like Red brought backup eh?" Roman laughs. Cinder holds her pistols and aims them at Roman.
"Getting beaten by a bunch of kids? How embarrassing is that?" Cinder asks as she smirks. Penny lands behind Roman and starts dealing with all the Red Fang goons. Cinder watches as Velvet and Fox jump out and assist her. Roman runs and grabs his cane. And fires at them. Neo quickly responds and opens her parasol, shielding them from the blast. More bullheads arrive and force the the rest of them to take cover as Neo shields her team. Penny uses her floating array to back the bullets. Shooting two more out of her back as they land in a building behind her, anchoring her to the ground. She jumps back and gathers her array, forming them into a circle. As they spin a green energy start to glow brighter and brighter until it fires likes a laser, cutting two of the aircraft in half. They crash into the sea. Penny shoots her floating array into the one still standing and pulls it to the ground as she backs up. Roman runs to his own during the commotion Cinder fires at him as the craft flies away.
After the battle is done white fang member arrive on the scene. Taking in Red fang members into their cars. Weiss and Yang walk up to everyone.
"Look Weiss it's not what you think she explained the whole thing to us! You see she doesn't wear a bow she has kitty ears and they're actually kind of cute." Ruby tries to explain as Weiss walks up to Blake.
"Weiss, I want you to know that I'm no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when I was with-" Blake is cut off as Weiss talks.
"Stop. Do you have any idea on how long we've been searching for you?" Weiss asks. "Twelve hours. That's means I've had twelve hours to think about this. And in that twelve hours I've decided…" Weiss says. There's a pause for a few seconds. "I don't care!" Weiss says.
"You don't care?" Blake asks, confused.
"You said you're not one of them anymore right?" Weiss asks.
"No I- I- I haven't been since I was-" Blake is again stopped.
"I don't wanna hear it. All I want to know is that the next time something this big comes up you'll come to your teammates. And not some… someone else." Weiss says.
"Of course." Blake says.
There's a pause as they both smile.
"Yay team RWBY is back together!" Ruby yells. They along with sun get into a circle. Weiss looks to Sun.
"I'm still not quite sure how to feel about you!" She says as she points at you. Sun chuckles nervously.
"Hey wait a minute, where's Penny?" Ruby asks.
"Sweetie, you should know better than to run around in a strange city." Pietro tells Penny as he puts his hand on her shoulder.
"I know dad." Penny says as she looks at her friends.
Ozpin looks at his scroll. Observing the footage of his daughter along side team RWBY. Until he gets a message from Qrow.
"Queen has pawns" is all it reads. Ozpin sits down. And stares at that message.
"Then we have a problem." Ozpin quietly says to himself. He then stares out into the night. Knowing something big is to come.
