...what the. whats going on where am I why is it so dar-
Everything came back on where I was and I could feel the connection and memories past. But I still can't remember why can't I remember anything. I lool around and suddnely I knew who everyone was and their name, capability, rank you name it I knew it. In an instant and I almost droped to my knees and puked my guts up. Amiya caught me and held me up as I regained my footing.
I felt a sensation like something above and I wanted to see what it was. Looking up I saw a drone hovering above. Looking at Amiya she handed me a tablet that I opened my hands typeing the password without me thinking. Maybe some type of muscle memory?
It unlocked and the symbol on Amiyas coat was the background Seeing a app called 'Drone View' I tapped it and saw a live feed from the drone instead of just a picture of the battle field. The tactical meaning would be priceless being able to have a live feed of any battle looking further i could see there were 3 more drones.
"We need to move on the ninth street correct doberman?"
She looked at me for a second wondering what I was about to do
Doberman: "Yes, Doctor it is the fastets route and leads to Aces area of the operation allowing us to regroup and be harder to pin down and wipe out."
I pressed a few buttons and the other drone view came up showing 3 more teams, two of them were moving and the last seemed to be in a deffensive stance.
"We have Two teams on the move and another in setting up a deffense."
Amiya" The two moving should be Ace and Miss Nearl. We need to regroup as soon as possible and get to Filgel he's the one setting up deffences to hold our escape route open. We have two VTOL aircraft for to get us out of the city."
"Then lets get to Ace's team fast." we started moving at an okay pace about two blocks in we had to slow down due to the atrophy my muscles went through also known as being out of shape.
About halfway to the supposed meet up point we ran into a supprising scene. The royal gaurd were slaughtered in the streets along with reunion protesters, fire was everywhere and there were armed reunion protesters surrounding a woman wearing a white sweater and blue jeans and her daughter wearing a pink sweater also with blue jeans both ursus. I couldnt hear what they were saying but i could tale a guess. looking down at the tabled i had just gained my breath as i saw we were about a block away from the meet up point but Aces team had disapeared. Putting that aside I marked the scene and started issuing orders to assist the civilians. it took a second for everyone to get into position.
Staying far enough from the figh to be 'safe' as Amiya put it, but far enough where Icouldnt hear what the reunion said. As soon as we were aboit to beguin other operators wearing the blue and black/Bark hrey uniforms droped from the surroinding buildings and saved the civilians. I saw one without a mask and a shield mation for the two to run and the mother took her chance, picking up her child and ran as far as she could. I hope she made it out of here alive and lived a long life.
Looking at my tablet again I saw the team was Ace's and we had finaly roundevued with his squad. mostly made up of defenders and medics with a few snipers.
He walked up to Amiya nodded his head towards Doberman, Amiya ran up to him and started to ask questions about his team and if he had comunications with the 'Ark'.
Ace: "Sorry kid seems all comunications are out I dont know what could be causing this maybe a radio jammer?" he looked at me and a slight smile came to his face.
Ace: "Good to see ya Doc how are you, are you okay?" I looked at him quizicaly, his tone sounds if hes talking to an old friend, did...did we know each other like Amiya and myself? Anothertime we still had to leave.
Amiya: "Dokta Eva is suffering from amnisiea we dont know how bad it is but her leading abilities seem to not be diminished due to it. were moving to regroup with Ms Neral and then retearning to Filgel and the extracting from the city."
Ace: "Well we better get going seems we got a catastrophe about to hit and we dont want to be caught in it." I could hear his tone drop a little, he was sad i didnt remember him.
Amiya: "lets go we need to leave, lets fine Miss Nearl and get out of here." we started leading the way with Aces team up front and Dobermans team bringing up the rear with Amiya and me in the center.
We kept running until we got into a park and we started to walk using the trees as cover. soon a fog started to roll in perfect for an ambush tuning everyone out I looked at the tablet looking to see if the drones above had spotted anything I opened the application.
OS: "No hostile targets in sight." then a crack happned out of nowhere and the drone fell near us "drone expired."
Ace: "Get to cover quick!" we all started to move behind the trees as a form of cover and i hid behind Amiya. looking around I thought I saw something moving in the fog. Was this all a trap for us?
I felt something grab me from behind and yank me fast away from the group. before i vould make a sound i was far enough away from the others and on my back with someone stradeling me and a blade at my throat.
??: "dont move a muscle." Female, sounds young cant be more than 25 years old.
"one wrong move and ill kill you" a flare could be seen behind her where everyone was.
??: "I'm looking for someone, tell me everything you know."
"I-I dont know any- I dont know anything." she didnt like that awnser one bit because i felt the blade press further into my throat cutting off my airway a little. if it wasnt for the clothes that blade would have punctured the skin.
??: "dont tell me you forgot!"
Suddenly another voice jumped in this one sounding even younger.
???: "Oh what a bother." we both looked and it seemed to be a younger boy Iberian, wearing all white with shorts and a cane.
"I thought I was in charge of this area. you have to tell me if you want to hunt here crown slayer. Im a nice guy though so if you leave right now. I'll pretend I didnt see anything." She stood up revealing she was a lupo.
Amiya: "Doctor!"
???: "You still have some work to do don't you?"
the lupo then fadded into the fog disapearing
Crown Slayer "I cant wait to see you fail misrebaly."
after she disapeared he looked at where she disapeared.
???: "Big talk." he then looked at Amiya and the others "I know crownslayers a bit rude, but forgive her wont you?" He then motioned to me as i got up " As you can see your comanders is fine. sorry for the commotion. go one head back to them." he motioned and a went back to the others.
???: "Great everyones together now sorry for not introducing myself, my name is mephisto." his voice started to gain a crazed tone." and lets have a great game together."
Doberman: "we dont need to play games with children lets move." we starred to move away to get oit of the park.
we were cit off by a group pf reunion troops but something seemed off about them.
Mephisto: "oh dont worry im not gonna do anything yet. You intrest me, your a pharma company but you do more than push test tubes around." he pointed to all the operators in cambat gear. "You fight shoddily to avoid taking lives and got a big crowd to go with that. my intrest got piqued." He then looked at me.
Mephisto: "Especialy you my friend ,who got pulled out of the sarcophagus. Yes you the one whos face is hidden by the black hood. You look kinda diffrent from the rest of us."
Mephistp: "who are you, where are you from, how did you survive? Ah I'm so curious! ive changed my mind." he looked at me with a gaze that held no good intentions. how about you give me that one and I'll let the rest of you go?"
Amiya: "Thats not happening you wont take her!" ace then moved infront of me to shield me.
Mephisto: "thats a shame if you did i could have let the rest of you go." his gaze turned insane "Lets play a game my frinds will try to tear you to shreads and if even one of you survives you win! how aboit it a simple, yet thrilling game no?"
Doberman: "we need to move now that catastophe is getting closer!"
Mephisto: "what are you talking about! Its the catasrophe that makes this the best time to party!"
Doberman: "What are you after doing this?"
Mephisto: "What am I after?" he laughed then adopted a serious face. Posssible mental disorder from what ive seen from how he acts. "I'm not 'after' anything. You have nothing to do with our goals. ao you dying or not dosn't actually make a diffrence."
Ace: "He's insane" he sounded like he want that fazed more just realizing how far gone the kid was.
Mephisto: "Now enoigh with the chit chat! Let me have some fun!... do it." the reunion forces then rushed us intending to kill us as they got into a meele brawl.
We were starting to take some wounded as Ace acted quickly poping smoke with the rest of his team. Amiya taking this chance got a few to help get the wounded out of the combat zone. We were getting close to the exit of the park when the person I was helping got hit with an arts blast knocking us both down and a reunion grunt was about to swing on me with his machete. I tried to shield myself with my arms and closed my eyes...
THUD*
I opened my eys to see what happned and saw someone in front of me in a protective stance with what looked like a shield and an axe-mace hybrid. a second passed and more gaurds came up beside the Kuranta.
Mephisto: "Backup... YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!" he seemed to be having a breakdown as Doberman noticed the backup
Doberman: "Finaly" she breathed a sigh of relief.
?: "sorry im late Amiya, is everyone okay?"
Amiya: "Its okay Miss Nearl and everyones alive but we do have wounded."
Nearl: "My team will hold the line get the wounded out of here." Aces team helped move the wounded and i when with them to help out it seemed this nearl had the situation under control. I heard her say something to Mephisto who was having a mental break.
Mephisto: "FAUST! SHOOT HER IN THE MOUTH!" Nearl looked to her right and then blocked a shot that pushed her back a good few feet what was that shot from!
I looked around and saw a figure standing on the roof. they werent in the reuinion uniform. They were dressed in black with red highlights on their armor. A symbol won their arm showed a two headed bird that was scratched out. Ursus deserters? but they seemed to be looking at me. then one in a green uniform with what looked like a rifle and a halo above his head. He was a Sankta. Where were his wings? He talked into his radio and then disapeared his men following. as he turned around I was something on his back a tower pericing the heavens with some words that were scratched off by the look of it. That symbol it ... it was familiar.
I tuned my attention back to Nearl and saw smoke was poped and billowing. and everyone was making a breat to escape making sure I wasnt left behind was Amiya and Ace who threw a grenade at the reunion. We kept running trying to loose our pursuers. When we finaly got to a safe enough area we stoped to take a breath.
Suddenly I felt as if being watched and looked up and saw that group with the black and red uniforn and their leader bu there was someone else this time he looked go be wearing an orange jumpsuit with a black and red uniform and some sord of rifle to I couldnt tell what his species was ... who was he, he seemed to be staring into my eyes not my mask ...my eyes. suddenly my tabled gave a warning.
OS: "WARNING MASSIVE HEAT SIGNATURE DETECTED RECOMEND EVACUATION!" I looked where it was displaying the signature and saw the wall of a building turning into a liquid as it was being super heated by something Doberman saw it to.
Doberman: "What, Move now get to cover!" everyone ran for the corner of the building to use as cover. I looked back and saw a stream of intense fire crash into the building across the street imolating the side of the wall melting the bricks into a sludge.
Nearl: "Those- those arts so powerful!" fear laced her voice.
Ace: "they're more powerful then the data showed." Did they know who did this?
Amiya: "The tyrant of reuinion...Talula." another gust of flame hit the building blowing a hole in it as debris fell on top of us knocking be out.
As i came to I saw destruction all around me everyone was getting back up as ash fell down on us like a blanquet of death. I looked at her. A draco in a noble like dress with a lomg sword flanked by the reunion leaders we had met and those men I saw, were they apart of reunion?
Then one of them spoke up and his voice... I knew that voice but where from?
????: "So the ever victorious Doctor Eva has awoken. I've been looking for you traitor, but that was more of a side project."
I looked at him and everything disapeared around us. No longer were we in the destroyed city. We were in a ... was this a castle? Where was I?
I looked behind me and there he stood Red eyes, pale skin in full armor Wearing the ursus symbol proudly crossed out with the sybol of our faction on his back.
????: "So E, ready to smell the ashes of war again?"
A/N - OKAY so not exactly 24 hours but close enough is good enough sorry fo the wait shits gotten busy and im at a school rn but ill post and write when i can hopefuly the next chapter will be out before the end of the month.Anyways comment if you want to its not like im holding u hostage...yet. But I digress let me know how the chapter was im still experimenting. Seya
