Hey there readers! As promised, I said there would be a sequel to '13 Candles'

Even though I've written a summary of what happened previously below, I suggest reading '13 Candles' if you haven't already so you can get a feel of the story and get caught up in the drama and adventure!

Note: Many if not all characters in Mutopia belong to my dear friend and co-writer Tyroth Darkstorm.

AFTERMATH

Previously: After Kemeko turned thirteen years old, Leonardo decided it was the time to tell his adopted daughter the whole truth about her roots and her family yet certain events meant it didn't work out the way Leonardo wanted it to be, and Kemeko was heartbroken to learn the truth.

Upset to learn of her origins, and her link to the Shredder, Kemeko felt angry and withdrawn and stopped being the sweet, loving, gentle hardworking girl everyone knew and became embittered.

After an accident where she injured her father (Almost identical when Leonardo accidently cut Master Splinter in 2003's TMNT episode 'The Ancient One') Kemeko fled the lair followed closely by Pandora and ended up in the hands of the Shredder!

The Hamato Clan soon got wind of the girls being held against their will and were about to infiltrate the Headquarters, but Shredder, Arashi and Dr Arden were one step ahead of them and caught them in the sewers before returning them as prisoners.

But as luck would have it, their friend and trusted ally Tyroth the Dragon had a vision that they were in danger and he and the Knights arrived in New York and attacked the Foot Headquarters just as Shredder was about to have the Hamato Clan executed!

The Battle was won, yet not without the Hamato Clan suffering serious injuries, some worse than others.

Now the wounded Hamato Clan are in the hands of their friends and allies from Mutopia, but it is touch and go for some of them, and what drama will follow?

Well, you'll just have to tune into this fic to find out!

Chapter One

Carrying You Home

Down below Chicago, in the hidden city of Mutopia, the hustle and bustle that was often heard within was no longer the case given the fact that Tyroth and the Chicago Knights had gone to New York to save their friends after the dragon's vision had beckoned them.

Cam the Rhino and Barry the Warthog weren't doing their usual scavenging, collecting, or delivering but rather waiting for news.

Patch continued to garden in the greenhouses harvesting the vegetables and fruits for Louie, yet with less enthusiasm.

Leona continued to work with the wood and other equipment Cam and Barry had brought her, but like Patch, she was sad as well as worried as she worked.

Hacker continued to watch his screens on his many computers, checking the cameras as well as checking for updates from Tyroth, but no far nothing.

Even Rattletrap just sat in his workshop, he never did any tinkering or made a mess, he just sat there worried as well as feel guilty over the calamity he made on the Ninjet before the Knights could leave for New York.

Old George sat in the Canteen sipping some tea as he thought about Tyroth and the Chicago Knights fleeing to New York to check in on their friend's welfare after Tyroth's vision, he knew how right the Dragon could be when it came to his hunches.

One of Mutopia's young residents, Jun the Tiger walked over with a soda as well as a cheeseburger provided by Louie and sat opposite the old turtle.

"Hey Gramps." The tiger said with a sigh as he sat down.

George nodded at the tiger.

"You troubled young one?" he asked.

"Absolutely." Jun said as he took a bite of his Cheeseburger "I'm always worried about Dahlia."

"I will admit too, I am worried." George spoke as he sipped his tea, "as much as I don't think much on following hunches, when Tyroth has one, he is pretty much always right."

"I get bad feelings too." Jun said, "Especially when I go into those underground fights and now it's going to be a tricky one and might result in serious injury."

George sighed as he looked at the Tiger, knowing very well about his secret underground fights as a human and even though he was now a mutant, he continued the same activity, often under a disguise and saying his tiger features were a costume.

He never approved of going topside unless it involved scavenging or fighting crime, mainly because he feared the risks, and with the traitor Diablo along with his Disciples on the loose, it was worrying.

But the old turtle couldn't stop the young mutants' activities, he could only trust that they would be careful in what they did topside and make sure they followed the rules to the letter to make sure not to be discovered nor be followed back to the sanctuary.

He took another sip of tea and looked at the ceiling.

"I hope all is well." He thought "Gods I do hope so!"

If only the old turtle knew the situation of the Knights and the Hamato Clan in the Ninjet at that very moment.

Tyroth was driving the aircraft whilst Sephie looked over everyone, meanwhile Devina sat in the front with Tyroth recovering from the extreme heat from the Dragon's attack on the Headquarters when she had attempted to help him.

April was trying to keep giving Monalisa CPR as the lizard was still suffering from Black Mamba's venom and was in danger of going into Cardiac Arrest.

Jake was with her offering to take over when April needed a rest.

Donatello was looking pale and in a lot of pain from Komodo Dragon's bacterial scratches and Heather and Sarah under instructions of James and Dahlia were being told to clean the wounds thoroughly.

Raphael had been fully sedated, and the tube was still down his throat and Dahlia was trying to make sure he was breathing properly as well as keep the wound on his throat closed with Casey by his best friend's side.

Michelangelo had his arm in a sling as well as the arrows cut before James and Dahlia could operate on him to remove them safely, yet the turtle could tell he had a few broken bones and was sure his shoulder was dislocated.

He sat there in pain whilst Kate comforted him and talked to him saying they would arrive in Mutopia soon, Percy sat on the other side of the turtle keeping them company and saying everything would be alright.

Leonardo sat with Kemeko's head in his lap along with Splinter comforting him as James had sedated her and said that Kemeko needed to be operated on to save her life due to where she had stabbed herself with the tanto.

Leonardo refused to let go of his adopted daughter and kept saying that she would be okay and that he would give his life for her.

Both Splinter and Leonardo had suffered deep cuts and slashes as well as bruising, but all they needed was stitching and bandaging which Jack and Sharky offered to do.

Despite being fighters, the Chicago Knights had been taught by James and Dahlia how to stitch up deep cuts when in the field and both the wolf and Chimpanzee weren't there to help, and it had proved useful in this case.

Pandora meanwhile sat with Sonia who had cleaned her wound in her side and stitched it up, whilst Amber helped comfort her as well as give her pain relief.

The hybrid took the pain as Sonia paid attention to closing the wound, but she was more worried about her parents who had suffered very bad wounds, ones that could mean the death of them.

"Please let them be alright!" Pandora sobbed as she looked at April still working on Monalisa and Dahlia on Raphael "Please! Please!"

"Calm down Pandora!" Sonia soothed the Hybrid "You won't be any help to them both if you panic!"

Pandora tried to keep calm, but it was difficult and every time she looked at her parents, she could see it being repeated in her mind.

Hanako stabbing her father through the throat and Monalisa falling from Black Mamba's venom.

Her fear was turning to hate as she thought of Arashi's whore and the deadly black snake, she wanted so badly to kill them both.

Sephie watched over her friends and fellow knights then turned to Tyroth wondering if they were close to Mutopia.

Even though it had been just about an hour, it felt like forever.

Tyroth could sense the fear behind him as he controlled the Ninjet and he willed the GPS on the screens to show them they were close to Chicago and he was able to open the hanger to land the jet then get everyone to the Medical Wing within the sanctuary so they could use the equipment and medicines there needed to save their friends lives!

Sephie had asked him again about what had happened in the Foot Headquarters, but Tyroth reminded his lover that the welfare of his friends was more important and that he would give a full statement and story once everyone was in safe hands.

Sephie sighed in agreement then turned back to everyone in the back, she knelt between Raphael and Monalisa.

April was sweating as well as trying to keep from crying at Monalisa's condition as Jake had taken over CPR on his older sister.

"It's amazing she's lasted this long! Out of all the stories I've heard, not many people survive the venom of a Black Mamba for as long as she has." the red headed human panted "She's so strong!"

Sephie felt tears come to her eyes again, scared for her best friend and sister in spirit.

"I hope she makes it!" she said "She has to, she has Pandora….and Raphael…" she looked over to the red masked turtle who was being watched over by Sharky whilst Dahlia had gone to check on the other casualties.

"How did he survive it?" the gecko asked looking at the turtle who every so often coughed as he breathed through the tube and gurgled as the mutant Shark held the cloth to his throat and held his head still.

"Well, being mutants, they are more resilient than humans." Sharky said, "And even though they don't share our strength or advanced healing as Mutopians, they have their own kind of endurance."

"That's true." Sephie said "I just hope it keeps them hanging on until we get to Mutopia." She said in a scared voice, she could feel her hands shaking as well as her heartbeat in her ears she was so worried.

Tyroth looked back at his wounded friends then back at the GPS and he soon saw the destination of the City of Chicago appear.

"Oh, thank Odin!" he breathed and looked over to Devina who was starting to awaken, and he felt relieved seeing her wake up.

Looking behind him he called to his passengers.

"We're almost home!" he said, "Secure yourselves!"

"Will do Dragon!" Dahlia called over then started barking orders to everyone to strap themselves in as well as secure the wounded to which the Knights did so.

James looked relieved as well as serious.

"Thank Goodness!" he said, "The sooner we are back in Mutopia, the sooner our friends can be saved!"

"Hear that cutie?" Kate said in a forced happy tone to Michelangelo who had been leaning into her "We're almost there! Hang in there my Turtle Titan."

Leonardo did the same and kissed Kemeko's forehead.

"We're nearly there, Lotus!" he soothed to her sleeping form "It's going to be okay! Just stay with me! Stay with me baby! Stay with me turtle child…. please!" he wept as he nuzzled her.

Raphael despite being under the anaesthetic and struggling to breathe, he squeezed his mate's hand trying to reassure her, even though Monalisa gave no response.

Tyroth looked back at his friends then at the screen then picked up some earphones and called into Mutopia.

"Hacker! Hacker! This is Tyroth! Hacker! Come in!"

And thus ends the first chapter of 'Aftermath' Tyroth and the Knights are on their way back to Mutopia with their wounded friends, four suffering more serious wounds than the others.

Stay tuned to see how things go! You don't want to miss it!
