Where am I?
Sanemi couldn't move, not a muscle, and his body felt weary, exhausted all over, laying upon his stomach. He could lift his head, but not by much, so that was at least something he could do, at least until he got his strength back.
"You know it's too late, right?"
An unfamiliar voice burst from the darkness, and Sanemi startled, lifting his head to see who that voice belonged to. His heart started to thud in his chest, and his eyes widened.
Kanae knelt before him, covered head to toe in blood, her breathing ragged, her eyes shimmering.
Sanemi couldn't breathe, not for a second, but he reached out to her. "K-Kanae? Is that you? Kanae!" He yelled out, his voice rough and hoarse, as if he had screamed it raw.
Kanae said nothing, as if she didn't hear him. Just as she lifted her head, a pair of arms wrapped themselves around her waist, earning a soft gasp from her.
A figure pulled her close, her back to his chest, and eyes a baleful glow emerged from the darkness.
Sanemi stilled, his body still and immobile, his heart pounding. That presence, the scent of fresh blood, it was unmistakable.
An Upper Moon demon, and the name sprung in his mind, though he dared not to utter it.
Douma.
His heart sank to his stomach, which churned and roiled within him. He covered his mouth, hoping to not get sick, not to throw up anything he had eaten before. He couldn't remember if he had eaten anything, but he felt a rattling in his chest.
"You know it's too late, right?" Douma spoke to Kanae, one hand under her chin, tilting his head so that their eyes would meet. "It's only fair someone as beautiful as you will belong to me now."
Kanae breathed out as her bruised, bloodied hands pressed on the demon's chest, shaking her head. "N-no."
Sanemi couldn't believe what he was seeing, trying in vain to pull himself closer. His body shook, horror and anger quaking within him.
Douma only laughed, amused by Kanae's defiance. "Oh, dear, you think you have a choice in this, don't you?" A smile crept across his features, leaning in closer to the demon hunter. "Well, I can help you see things my way, wouldn't you like that, my sweet?"
Kanae turned her head away from him, but Douma moved faster, pressing his mouth against hers, his arms tight around her.
Sanemi seized up, nausea and anger boiling within him. "You-you bastard! Let her go! Le-" He yelled, but his chest rattled, and he covered his mouth, something rising up, up, up his throat and in his mouth. He tasted bile, his body lurching over.
He couldn't look away, even as the urge to spit out overrode everything else.
Douma let one of his hand trail down Kanae's chest, moving down past her stomach to the front of her trousers, his fingers cupping and stroking her. Kanae squirmed in his grip, and her hands tried to yank him away, but she clenched her fists, such overwhelming sensations form his touch taking over.
Sanemi couldn't hold back any longer, and he opened his mouth, the taste of bile and blood pouring from him. He threw up whatever it was, and he coughed it out so that there was nothing left.
He took in deep breaths, the metallic air back into his lungs, as he had to look at whatever had to get out of him. It was a splash of blood, bile, and what looked like flower petals, wilted and stained.
Flower petals…
Sanemi looked up and saw that Douma placed Kanae beneath him, straddling her, and he began to move himself forward and back, his arousal tenting in his pants. Kanae let out a moan, strained, half in pain and in pleasure, her hands on the demon's arms, clinging.
"That's more like it," Douma uttered, his breathing ragged and excited he moved himself between her legs. Kanae whimpered, holding onto him tightly, her face tinted red.
That sickening feeling arose in Sanemi, and this time he lurched forward, as flower petals burst from his mouth, bloodied and wilted.
"I-It should have been me…" He spat out, heaving, weak, sore all over. "I should have… have been with her."
Hatred wrapped around his heart like a vice, tighter and tighter, and his world went black.
It should have been me with Kanae…
