Professor Ivy's Maelstrom
This is a rewrite of a fanfiction, under the same name.
Chapters; One-Shot
Pairing: Professor Ivy x Naruto
Pairing Name; Mellowswirl [Get it? Swirl... Maelstrom... whirlpool... and Ivy being very, very Mellow]
Sighing softly to himself, Naruto couldn't help but preen slightly as the wind ruffled through his messy mop of semi-unruly blonde hair. Seeing the Orange Islands off in the far distance, with the setting sun casting itself over the highest mountains within the region, it really did make a wonderful sight; the orange of the setting sun being reflected from the clean, deep blue ocean, along with fragments of pink, red and even hints of green reflecting off the small smattering of clouds overhead.
Yet, as the fancy cruise that he was approached the island ever so slowly - at least, that was what it felt like - Naruto couldn't help but feel a twinge of nervous excitement course through his body, and his heart started to pound within his chest so loudly, that he wouldn't of been surprised if random passengers on the boat could've heard it.
The reason why he was feeling this feeling of jittery nervousness?
Well, it had been nearly two whole years since he last set foot in this region, and of course, it had been two entire years since he had last seen his wife in person.
Sure, he made sure to keep in touch with her the best he could when the timezones allowed it, but it just... wasn't the same. He missed being in his wife's presence dearly, but hearing her voice always made him continue on, knowing that she would be disappointed should he stop and give up due to the simple fact of him being homesick.
Oh, how he sometimes was frustrated with his wife being the only qualified, and certified Pokemon Professor on the large chain of small islands...
But, he supposed that he would have to make it up for her.
Perhaps a lot, whether it be helping her with her more... well, boring duties of being a Professor, or perhaps in more... sinful ways... in the bedroom. Perhaps even tied up should his usually rather shy and mellow wife want to... vent some frustrations on him for being away for so long.
Feeling the heat rush to his cheeks, Naruto gently slapped himself across his whiskered cheeks, before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath through his nose, and out of his mouth.
There was no need for such thoughts.
Well, right now at least...
"Down boy," Naruto muttered to himself, taking yet another deep breath in through his nose and exhaling softly.
Looking down at his belt that helped keep his jeans comfortably snug around his waist, he brought out a rather beautiful looking Poke Ball that gleamed of black and gold from the safety clip, before gently pushing down upon the small button within the middle of the object, as it quickly expanded to it's full size.
"C'mon out, Milotic!" He called out gently, before throwing the Poke Ball over Starboard. It hung in the air for a few moments overboard, before it exploded within a brilliant burst of rose-gold light. Within that flash of brilliant light, he heard the telltale sign of his Milotic's melodious cry of joy, before but a second later, a sudden *splash* greeted his ears.
Keeping his right hand outstretched, the thrown Luxury Ball quickly flung back into his hand, almost like it was magnitized to his throwing arm - whcih he still didn't properly understand how Poke Balls did that, even after being thrown so far away from their person - before he clicked the button once more, causing the Luxury Ball to shrink before clipping it back onto his belt.
Hearing more splashes in the ocean a few meters below him, he couldn't help but grin as he heard the noise of his Milotic's cries of joy, and gentle cooing as she swam by the fancy cruise ship. Unable to help himself, he grabbed onto the large railing on the side of the ship, before peering down into the water, where his Milotic was happily swimming and launching herself out from the ocean, before splashing back down, "Enjoy yourself, Milotic!" He called out to the Pokemon below, "We are nearly home,"
Said Pokemon glanced back up at him, and seemingly gave the happiest smile that he had ever seen, gave a gentle cooing noise that seemed to echo within his very body, before diving underwater, presumably interacting with the Water-type Pokemon of the ocean.
Chuckling to himself at Milotic's behaviour, he sighed once more as he raised his right hand up in front of his face, his deep cerulean eyes peering into the small, yet beautiful silver ring adorning his finger. And he couldn't help but gently run his finger over the precious gemstone that decorated the small, expensive piece of jewelry, "Not long now, my love," Naruto murmured out, before sighing once more as he leaned on the rail, resting his chin upon his arms as he watched the Orange Islands come ever so closer, agonisingly slowly.
He wondered, what was his Felina Ivy doing now?
Felina Ivy gently hummed to herself as she walked across the soft, sandy shores of Valencia Island. Despite basically living here all of her life, she still took great joy in just... taking in everything around her, enjoying being part of nature's beauty, nearly untouched and unsullied by the constant release of plastics, garbage and any other of that icky stuff that bigger cities in other regions produced.
Feeling the breeze gently flutter through her purple hair, she couldn't help but smile softly as she took a deep whiff of the delightful scent of the ocean. It just had a... crispness to it that nothing else could produce, and was certainly a big selling point - in her mind at least - of the Orange Islands, apart from the many beaches that were found upon each and every island, along with the unofficial Orange Island Pokemon League.
As she continued to walk, she watched on above as migrating Wingull and over bird Pokemon flew about, gently cawing and cooing thier names as they freely explored the open skies.
Oh, how that might feel... being so free instead of having all the responsibility of being one of the more powerful people within the Archipelego, and thus not having a lot of free time to herself, apart from on Weekends.
Gnawing upon her bottom lip slightly, Felina stood still for a moment, before rubbing her thighs together to try and move the tight fabric of her blue one-piece swimsuit. However, without much luck in that regard, she simply sighed to herself, before closing her eyes.
Reaching down, she grabbed a small bit of the fabric that had begun to wedge itself around her pelvis, awfully close to her intimate areas, and nearly displaying said intimate areas to the open - at least, luckily for her, nobody was around to see her in this possible state - before grunting slightly and moving it rather forcibly back into place.
Maybe it was finally time for her to get a new swimsuit. Maybe it was a bit too... odd for her to be this old - as much as she hated to admit it. But, perhaps it was time to finally buy a two-piece swimsuit to surprise her husband with... or perhaps to drag him along for some swimsuit shopping.
Speaking of her husband.
Felina glanced downwards at her ring finger on her right hand, looking at the softly gleaming jewel. She couldn't help but smile softly as she ran a delicate finger across the smooth surface.
And like she was prone to do, her brown eyes starred off into the distance, as memory lane started to run by her, reminding her of the very first time she met her husband on that fateful day...
FLASHBACK
It was supposed to be another simple day for Felina. As it was one of the days where she actually didn't have to do much, apart from looking after some of her own Pokemon that were by the section of the beach she owned as it was part of the land that she bought for her lab, which also doubled as her home for how large it was - one of the few perks that came with being a Pokemon Professor.
So as she was garnered up in her tight one-piece swimsuit that clung to her figure, she walked herself to the beach, as there was no point in taking any transport there as it was only a couple of dozen feet away from the lab. Plus, she also liked the excercise and enjoying the nature of the island.
She found some modes of transportation bad, as it ruined the enviroment and caused deforestation when people had the need to build more roads for the modes of transportation, plus the fuel said vehicles exposed to the enviroment didn't really make her all that more happy either.
Shaking her head from that thought, she stepped onto the beach that was apart of her property. She allowed a small smile to grace her face as she felt the sun beaming down upon her and her skin, and the breeze gently rushing across her skin like it was a familal greeting.
It was just one of those days that there were no dark clouds about in the sky, only a few lighter colored ones that were completely harmless and some of them even formed patterns in the sky that people liked to point out and let their imagination flow from it.
"Gra~"
Blinking in confusion as she heard her Gyarados in the distance, a Pokemon that is normally rather quiet for its species. She turned her head and squinted her eyes to try and see further in the distance.
She saw someone on top of another Pokemon further out in the ocean, and that someone was nearing her Gyarados, a Pokemon species that was known to be quite... well, dangerous if approached wrongly.
Of course, seeing a total stranger approaching one of your Pokemon would cause a reaction, and her reaction caused her to run over towards the edge of the water and whistle a rather special call that only her Pokemon would be able to pick up and understand.
She needed to be quick; as if this was a thief and her Gyarados somehow managed to gain trust for this person, that might mean that Gyarados would be an easy target for the thief.
It didn't take that long after she had done her little special signal for one of her Pokemon to show up, as it was shown when the water started to ripple and part like something was tearing it apart.
"Cloy?"
The Pokemon that showed up after her call was her Cloyster, it wasn't exactly her Pokemon - nor anyones, in fact - it was just a Pokemon that she had befriended during her time and it decided to stick around in the area, not that she minded, especially within this moment.
Cloyster is actually a black pearl within two shells. The first shell is purple and rugged, while the second shell is gray. When the second shell is opened, a spike is revealed. Its face had a constant cruel look upon it.
"Cloyster, could you please take me to Gyarados? I have a feeling something bad is happening," She said, gently rubbing the rough outer shell of the Pokemon.
"Cloy!"
Smiling as she watched the Pokemon spin around and place one of the two shells under the water - meaning that the Pokemon was sideways, she gently hoped onto it's shell. Despite it being a rather rugged and hard shell, she didn't want to accidently hurt it.
As the Pokemon felt Ivy in a comfortable position and grabbing onto it's spike, it zoomed forward at speeds that would surprise many that didn't know of Cloyster's speed within the water. The way it travelled was also interesting, as it was using it's two shells to clamp and unclamp to create momentum, and using itself to steer itself with the help of either the ocean current or the waves nearby.
It didn't take long for Cloyster to make her way - she knew it was a female thanks to the height of the Pokemon, instead of it being 4'11 like normal, instead, it was shorter and was only 4'7 and weighed less. Also the way Cloyster acted was distinctly female. Don't ask Ivy how she knew, she just called it womans intuition.
Coming to a halt, she was met with a sight that indeed interested her, and made the lingering fear within her heart quelled to a minimum.
In front of her, was her own Gyarados - which was also female - was acting like something akin to a Growlithe when it got some special attention with pats and rubs, which was rather odd for the ferocious Pokemon that could cause mass damage if it went on a rampage. It was also making small cooing roars - an odd contradiction there - and had her eyes closed in absolute bliss, her little whiskers quivering within the breeze.
Speaking of her Gyarados, there was indeed someone giving her some special attention. Turning her attention to the person, she was momentarily taken aback by not only the appearance of the male, but also what type of Pokemon he was resting on.
The male seemed to be around her age - not that she likes to think about, but she was in her early twenties - and he had a nicely tanned skin tone - almost peach-like in color - and had a somewhat rounded face. He also has sun-kissed yellow-blonde hair that was rather spiky and messy, which also seemed to shine under the sunlight - and seemed to be dripping from either the saliva from her Gyarados or from the ocean water that splashed up. From what she noticed as well, he had bright blue eyes that were rather easy to look at. The most interesting feature on his face however, was that he three whisker-like markings - three on either cheek.
He was also wearing a long-sleeved, skin tight rashie shirt that was mainly black in color, but had some orange highlights around the sides, along with wearing some simple black board shorts. He definitely did have a surfers' build, or possibly even a swimmers build from what she could see from her angle.
All in all, he looked rather handsome and exotic, and because she has never seen anyone like this from the Orange Islands, she presumed that he was from somewhere else, and judging from his frame and his tanned skin, maybe the Hoenn region.
However, it was the Pokemon that he was riding on was what surprised her, as not only were the species of Pokemon extremely rare, but also were very picky when it came to those it revealed themselves to.
The Pokemon is an elegant, sinuous Pokémon that resembles a sea serpent or oarfish. Its body is predominantly cream in color, while its fanlike tail comes in various shades - particularly of blue and magenta - that change upon the viewing angle. It has long red 'hair' and curled red eyebrows that embellish its endearing and beautiful crimson eyes.
This Pokemon was Milotic, which had been dubbed by many around the world as one of, if not the most beautful Pokemon of the entire world.
Shaking her head from those thoughts, she noticed that the person who was still petting her Gyarados had still not noticed her presence, so she decided to change that.
"Ah-hem,"
Clearing her throat in a way to garner his attention, she was suddenly met with his bright blue eyes and the Milotic's red eyes meeting her own, and it made her feel a little awkward, however, that feeling soon washed away with a sense of calmness thanks to Milotic's ability to calm someone down with a mere look from it.
"Oh, hello," He greeted out, waving slightly. It was easy to tell that he was a little surprised by her sudden appearance.
"Hello," She greeted back cordially, "I do wish to tell you that you are on private property, and I came to check on what you were doing here with my Pokemon," She further stated, while it wasn't exactly true that the Gyarados wasn't hers per se, it was just easier to put a little more unease with the offending person.
"Oh," He spoke out, glancing around before noticing that his Milotic had indeed crossed the little threshold that seperated the property on the hill with the rest of the ocean, "I'm sorry. I didn't notice, I thought we were still further away," He apologised to her, looking down at his Milotic, he gently rubbed the back of her neck, "Hey, girl, could you please back up slightly,"
Felina watched as the Milotic didn't even make any attempt to ignore the trainer, and instead, elegantly swam back a few feet - which didn't take long since the Pokemon was so long - and moved back over the threshold that seperated her property from the rest of the ocean, "Thank you," She said, "May I ask what you were doing?" She questioned, wanting to know more but not push anything that didn't need to be said.
Shrugging his shoulders, she watched as the man seemed to relax a little, whilst still giving Gyarados an appreciative look from afar, "I was just letting Milotic out for a little swim, then the Gyarados caught our attention, I must say, she is a beautiful one, and is very sociable," He said, not only explaining the reason as to why he was here, but also complementing her on the way she raised Gyarados.
Feeling a rush of warmth spread to her cheeks, she fought down the urge to giggle like a school girl. She was above that, and she was definately more mature than that, "Thank you, your Milotic looks great too," She said.
Giving a rather large and infectious smile - one that she couldn't help but return lightly - he scrached the back of his head, whilst also scratching Milotic under the chin, getting it to coo out at the feeling, "Thanks. She's definitely something special,"
Felina felt the respect for this stranger grow another notch in her book, not only was he kind and didn't panic when she finally made herself known, but he was also cooperative and even treated his Milotic like she did with her Pokemon.
It might be the start of something for the both of them, but Felina didn't want to jump to anything yet, she would just see where it took her naturally.
END FLASHBACK
Tittering ever so softly to herself, Felina could feel the faint heat rushing upon her cheeks as she remembered the first of many encounters with her fiance - now husband.
"MIIIOOO~"
Blinking a few times as she heard that gentle, exctied coo - a cry in which she had not personally heard in a long while - Felina felt her heart skip a beat, before she turned on her heels so quickly that it kicked up a whole slew of sand, and perhaps also nearly broke her ankles.
Then, her eyes widened as she noticed a creature elegantly swimming towards the shore, still cooing ever so happily.
It was a Milotic.
Moreso, it was Naruto's Milotic! She could tell, because no other Milotic in the world was nearly as beautiful as her husband's one, "Milotic!" Felina cried out in joy, before quickly running her way through the sand, and into the shallows of the ocean, where it rose to her ankles in height. Reaching out, she nearly faltered in what she was doing.
Perhaps it was an illusion.
It wouldn't of been the first time.
However, that thought was quickly flown out the window when her hand came into contact with the elegant Pokemon, her fingers just barely recognizing the smallest, near invisible scales located on Milotic's head, "You're back!" She exclaimed, her heart truly racing, and crying out with sheer joy now, "That mean's my hubby is back!"
"MIIOO~" Milotic sang out, her eyes closing in joy as she rubbed herself against Felina's hand, much like a cat would rub up against their owner, before nodding her head, her tail gently splashing against the water's surface.
Whipping her head around to and fro, her eyes scanned the surrounding area, looking for her husband.
But, that was when her eyes fell upon the massive cruise ship that had docked onto the island, about five hundred or so feet away from her current location at the largest docks of the Archipelago.
"Naruto!" Felina cried out in joy, before looking towards the Milotic that belonged to her husband, "C'mon girl!" She urged, before rushing off in the sand, uncaring of how much of the grainy stuff was being plastered to her skin or her fine white labcoat.
She had a husband to see damnit!
Milotic cooed out happily, before it dived underneath the water's surface once more, and began to elegantly swim towards the massive cruise ship, gently cooing and splashing the surface with her tail.
Naruto was barely off the ship for barely a minute, his smallish suitcase wheeling behind him, making soft *clunking* noises as the wheels passed over the small gaps in the wooden dock, his eyes were locked onto his phone as he looked through his contacts, looking for his wife's.
"NARUTO!"
"Eh?" Glancing up from his phone, he suddenly smiled widely as he noticed his wife quickly approaching him. Chuckling, he quickly pockted his phone, before he outstretched his arms outwards, before he mentally and physically prepared himself for the impact that was surely to happen.
THUMP
Grunting softly as Filena all but flung herself into his arms, her head nuzzling into his chest, he couldn't help but lean his head on her shoulder, and closed his eyes as he gently rubbed soothing circles into his wife's back. Yet, he couldn't help but breath in, where he sighed softly as her scent entered his senses once more. Oh, how he missed this.
"I'm so happy you are back," Filena murmured softly as she pulled herself away from the hug, yet keeping herself within his personal space, "I missed you so much..."
"I know." He murmured, placing his hands on her shoulders and gently pressing down on them, "I missed you too..."
Felina tittered softly, before she stood up upon her tippy toes, before placing a delicate kiss upon Naruto's lips, where he closed his eyes once more and hummed softly as the taste of her lipstick graced his lips once more. Opening his eyes, he noticed her eyes were lidded slightly, and she held her hands behind her back, gently wiggling her hips to and fro, "There'll be even more than that..." She murmured, before placing a little kiss upon his neck, where she breathed out gently, tickling his ear with her breath, "When we get home~"
Naruto purred softly, before leaning down slightly and resting his head upon her forehead, and looked into her eyes that were shining with lust, "I'll be looking forward to it~" He whispered softly, before placing a small little kiss upon her cute little button nose.
She giggled once more, before she wrapped her arms around Naruto's body, and just held onto his body once more. Truly appreciating what she had right in front of her after all of this time.
And Naruto was all too happy to let Felina have this moment with him. It probably killed her just as much as it did to him, to be away for this long.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this fanfiction! It certainly was a rework of the original I did all those years ago! And much more different too - and shorter too.
Anyway, please leave me a Review, DM/PM about what you thought of this rewrite! Also, on my profile, I do indeed have a poll going on, for those that enjoy reading YuGiOh fanfiction.
