Chapter 1

"Kit Barigton takes the base…looks like he's ready folks. This is it if Kit can hit this ball the game goes to Dimmesdale pirates!" The TV announcer shouted loudly through the aging sound system attached to the tv. It was a 15 year old TV that didn't even have HD resolution. But it didn't require an internet connection, constant updates or high energy cost. It was one of the last things his parents had bought him before they moved away years ago. It was a nice piece of history; Timmy Turner leaned back into the couch. It was a Wednesday mid-afternoon and the first game of the baseball season with the Dimmesdale Pirates tied in the final inning. Timmy still wasn't a fan of baseball and had consumed an unfavorable amount of it. But put up with it as it was an important part of his social life. Both of his friends and his best friend/ex-girlfriend/lover Timmy wasn't quite sure what they were at this point. Chloe Carmicahel was as always way too enthusiastic about everything.

"Alright! We won Timmy! We won!" Chloe screamed as she jumped into the air which Timmy just sighed. As the batter was able to hit the ball to the out field and successfully get a runner back to home base. Chloe and him were now in their 30s and had gone through hell the last couple years ago. The last decade had been challenges that neither of them could really describe. Chloe had kept her signature blonde hair, a pink hairpin, a yellow short sleeved shirt with high rise jeans and pink sandals. She was shorter than him by 6 inches which had annoyed her for years. The woman had been in his life for the last 20 years though the last 10 had strained their relationship over the years. "Now that's a baseball game! We should totally go out and rub our victory in the face of those lame dorks in the street over. Proving once again I have a good feeling about this year! And this was only game one!"

Timmy sighed, "Don't get too excited Chloe. Remember last year they had a strong start to the season and ended up with a terrible season. Plus they exchanged their main pitcher for Rhodney Catsu. Which is going to hurt the team down the line plus he's got a what? A 400 point average or something like that. This season is going to be a bomb and you know it."

"Okay one bad pitcher, 2 really good outfielders and one of the best pitchers in the league. At half the cost as the team was spending last year. Meaning they're going to be profitable and better players. Plus they're even talking about swapping out Casto for Emmance which has been a decent score. On top of that they've had 3 bad seasons that means this season has to be a good season. As every 3 seasons are bad with 1 really good season. And that means we're having a good season." Chloe retorted, "On top of that we had a very good game similar to a MLB game. They played very professionally today and that's all good signs."

"Chloe the guy who owns the team is the same guy for the last 20 years who's been running the Dimmesdale Pirates into the ground. Just because they have a good season doesn't' mean they can keep it-"

"Dad! Chloe! Tammy's mad!" A voice suddenly shouted out running their conversation. Both of them sighed and turned their attention to the front of the TV to where Timmy's daughter moved in front of the TV. She was mad with a red face and a clenched fist. Both of them sighed, Tammy was a handful and stressful to deal with. Timmy looked over to see the wide open door and shook his head at his daughter. Her forgetfulness was not without standing. "This is so infuriating! I had a dress and everything! And I did all that work too and the school canceled our school field trip! Tammy is so mad!" She screamed and spent the next 5 minutes vomiting out a bunch of incoherent sentences about her school field trip. Chloe leaned over to the side of the couch and picked up a yellow spray bottle. With that she sprayed Tammy in the face causing the 10 year old to stumble back and looked up.

"The door!" Chloe screamed at her and Tammy's blue eyes looked over to where Chloe was pointing. Tammy looked back at Chloe, "If you don't close and lock that door I will spray you again." Grumbling with that Tammy finally gave in and walked over to the front door and locked it. Tammy was average height for her age with long brown hair that fell to her shoulders with a pink hairband, wearing green glasses that were similar to her mother. She also wore a white shirt with a pink striped skirt with ankle socks and shoes. Tammy looked down, "And now that the door is closed, what have I told you about using 3rd person pronouns to describe yourself?"

"Not too," Tammy said.

"And what did you do?" Chloe asked.

"Use 3rd person pronouns," Tammy said.

"What should you have said?" Chloe asked.

"I am mad," Tammy said.

"Better," Chloe said. "Now then Tammy sit down right next to your Dad and prepares for the best time of your life. We're about to watch another round of baseball!" Tammy looked up from the ground at Chloe confused.

"Baseball?" She asked. "But…but…but-"

"Tammy, relax," Timmy said. "If it's about the dance at the Hotel Chloe and/or I could just take you. It's only a $15 entrance fee. You don't need to get so worked up over little things."

"You would?" Tammy asked. With that she ran towards Timmy and hugged him. Timmy played with his daughter's hair ignoring the fact she was wet from the spray bottle. He did his best to sooth his over emotional daughter.

"Yes Tammy I would ask next time something like this happens. I know you're mad, but what did your therapist say about getting mad?" Timmy asked the girl who looked at him for a moment.

"To take a deep breath and count to 3 before I say anything," Tammy replied. She grumbled a bunch of more words, but Timmy just sat there. Tammy had thrown her green backpack onto the ground. It was the annoying one that always talked about why anybody decided to make a talking backpack. It was something that Timmy would never know.

"Well I know how to cheer you up Tammy," Chloe said proudly.

"You do?" Tammy asked.

"Of course," Chloe said. "With a fun and exciting game of baseball!" Chloe said, which got Tammy to raise her head and look directly at Chloe. "We can get a few of our friends and have a fun and exciting game or we can go to Tomorrow game. And enjoy a soothing 5 hours of next level baseball!"

"What's baseball?" Tammy asked.

"What?" Chloe screamed. "Did you just ask what baseball is? In this house? Tammy…Tammy- is she joking Timmy?"

"Look at what you did Tammy," Timmy groaned. "I love you, but sometimes you say things…"

"That's what my therapist says," Tammy said. "And I don't know what baseball is? Is that a movie?" Chloe glared at Tammy with a frown.

"No, no no no no Tammy. Baseball is a sport, the best sport in the world and America's pastime. And if anyone says anything else they're lying! And I will fight them on! It's a sport where you hit a baseball with a bat and move from base to base. It's fun, exciting and the best thing ever!" Tammy looked over to her dad before finally speaking.

"Is this one of those things that Chloe really likes and is supper into?" Tammy asked.

"Yup and now you get to participate in it," Timmy said grinning at his daughter. Who realized her mistake.

"Oh no, can we do it later?" Tammy asked.

"Nope," Chloe said. With that Chloe grabbed Tammy's arm and dragged the 10 year old off the couch and lashed out the door. Leaving Timmy to sigh. With that he just had to shake his head. The two of them were stressful.

"And I'll go tell Tommy," Timmy said. And started his way up towards where his son was located in the house.
