After the 2nd PLT had finally come to a close, it was time to hit the road again. And thus, it was time to get Rutega, the Color-verses new resident, settled in. As she had never seen the Galaxy King before, or even his own ship, the Beacon, Hope gave her a quick tour of all the bells and whistles the gigantic cruiser had to offer.
"Basically, this things got everything for food, residency, and storage for Pokemon and Digimon alike." Hope explained. "Tails and Franky thought of everything when making this thing. It's even got an Indoor beach."
"You're kidding?" Rutega said in impression as she looked around the ship. "Man… this is an awesome gig you got here! I think I'm gonna feel right at home, I mean, this thing's not too different from our own space base, the OSA Golden Blaze. Just a few aesthetic changes but nothing too drastically different."
"Nice to hear. There aren't many residential spaces here on the king, so you might have to crash on the Beacon for now. I'm sure we can find a room for you." Hope said. "But… I know what you really wanna get into, is training."
Hope had to have hit the mark. Rutega had recently been bearing witness to some of the strongest forces fighting here in his Dimension. Not to mention, their clash was really close, with both of them being pushed to their limits. Hope barely was able to survive Rutega's full power, after which, she watched on as she saw David and Jexi keep climbing higher and higher, Jexi without a ceiling.
"You know it, pal." Rutega smiled widely as she rubbed her hands together. "When do we start training?"
"Right now, if you want." Hope then chuckled before running his head. "But, unfortunately, we don't have a Gravity Chamber in this baby or have direct access to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, so those are out." he quipped.
"Hey, I don't train with those anyways!" Rutega said with a smile.
"You don't?" Hope asked, the first time hearing about this.
"Nope! All my training has been done naturally, no Gravity, no Time Chamber, just me by myself!" Rutega smiled.
"Wow. In terms of differences between training compared to Goku and Vegeta, you're drastically different." Hope said.
"Hehe, thanks. So. Wanna help me with my Kaioken training?" Rutega asked.
"Sure. We've got a training simulator on the 13th floor. Should be the perfect spot to get going, unless you want to do this somewhere outside." Hope offered.
"Up to you, honestly." Rutega offered to Hope. "It doesn't matter to me."
"Well, you're my guest I invited. I think it would be cool to show you some Color Verse hospitality." Hope said.
The two of them headed to the 13th floor, to the Galaxy Kings training simulator. The massive space had a really good vibe to it.
"Welcome to the Galaxy Kings Training Sim. This baby was designed to generate environments and scenarios based on previous events we've been through by scanning our memories and storing them in a hard drive." Hope explained.
"Ohh, nice!" Rutega smiled. "This will work nicely. What area should we simulate first?"
"Well, since it's you, how about you think up a location that's nice and comfy for you to train in?" Hope asked. "It can be anywhere in Gokus world if you want it to."
"Hmm… let's do a mountainous region with a good amount of trees," Rutega suggested. "That's my usual to go area for training back home… well, what was home anyways."
"Hey, Seiges home is still your home too. I'm happy you're here, and you can go between places at will." Hope said.
Per Rutega's thoughts, the training simulator was activated. It soon changed to a wide mountainous region with plenty of trees, as Rutega wanted, and it was almost like they were outdoors.
"Alright then. Let's get started." Hope said. "Let's see if I can get right about what I know about the Kaioken. It's an Energy Multiplier technique innovated by King Kai. It heightens every physical trait of the body, strength, speed, and all the senses. But it's only ever able to be sustained for short periods of time."
"Yep. But, I've been able to sustain it for much longer at higher and higher intensities. This is because I don't just focus on energy output, I focus on steeling my body and my soul, which helps decrease energy draining." Rutega said.
"Neat trick. I know youve been able to use Kaioken up to x50 when you use it with Blue. But how high are you able to multiply it normally?" Hope asked.
"Normally? X500." Rutega answered bluntly.
"Fi-five hundred." Hope stuttered, not believing the words himself. "Mark and the Eds have only managed the Kaioken X10, and focus only ever got it up to 20."
"Here, I can show you, if you want," Rutega suggested as she stepped into a clear part of the area before she took a stance. "Kaiokeeen… times… FIVE… HUNDRED!"
In a giant crimson burst, Rutega powered herself up with the Kaioken to levels that rivaled even Super Saiyan 2, her entire body coated with red and red lightning coming from the Kaioken x500.
"Whoa…" Hope said.
"Now… pushing limits time… I need to try and go… higher… one multiplier at a time!" Rutega said as her power was slowly rising, which was likely the secret to her training as well, a slow pace, not a fast one. "Times… 510…" Rutega burst in power, her muscles swelling. "Times… 520…" Her veins bulged some. "Times… 530…!" The red lightning became more intense, but she stopped, catching her breath at 530 for a moment. "..Five hundred… forty!" She exclaimed, the aura growing larger and a deeper red.
Hope could tell Rutega was getting close to a limit, her legs were shaking and her body was under incredulous stress!
"Five… Hundred… F…FIFTY….!" Rutega exclaimed as she yelled, her aura becoming incredibly intense… only for a moment though as she immediately crashed, falling backwards and dropping the form, her muscles and veins reverting as she panted heavily.
"Whoa, I gotcha!" hope said, catching her before she fell to the ground. "That was close. You were really pushing it there."
"Gotta… push… every time…" Rutega huffed. "Make that x550 now."
"So I guess the Base form goal is x600 at least, right?" Hope asked.
"That's the plan…" Rutega huffed.
"What about Kaioken with Blue? You already can multiply it X50." Hope asked.
"Personally, wanna get that to X75 next. But X100 would be a good goal too." Rutega said as her stomach soon growled, as she blushed. "Op… uhm…" Rutega would start. "Sorry…"
"Hehehe…theres that Sayain appetite acting up. I think you might've not had anything to eat since the tournament ended." Hope stated.
"Hah… I think you're right. Can we go grab a bite to eat before we continue?" Rutega asked.
"Sounds good." Hope said.
Hope guided Rutega to the Galaxy Kings Kitchen and Dining Area on the 7th Floor.
"Have at it, make yourself whatever you want." Hope said. "Thanks to constant renovations, weve got cheese, fresh Eggs, spices, produce, you name it, we got it."
"Wooooow!" Rutega exclaimed at seeing the wide variety of foods to choose from. "Where do I start…!?"
Rutega began to gather and start preparing her meal, as she soon set in front of her a meal made for roughly 5 people, which was mild for Saiyan standards. Her meal consisted of multiple orders of Curry, a couple orders of Roasted and Fried Chicken, as well as a few other assorted items.
"Whoa…! I know weve got some big eaters on our team, but dang!" Hope said looking at the spread. "You really load on carbs!"
"Well, I know, but some days I just eat high-carb diet. I usually follow it up the next day or later with healthy veggies and whatnot." Rutega said.
"Still, this is a big spread. You eat almost as much as Luffy would on a daily basis. Good thing we got the food supply." Hope compared.
"Hey, I don't think I'm that bad… Am I?" Rutega asked as she began digging into some of the curry.
"Im not judging. Like I said, we have big eaters aboard already. But it looks like you gotta eat big because the Kaioken burns a lot of energy." Hope noted.
"You got that right." Rutega said she was already on the Chicken after Hope's first set of sentences, meaning she even ate as fast as Saiyans. "I either need a nap, need to eat, or just need to rest each time I use Kaioken. Sometimes it's a combination of those things."
"Guess you were lucky to just be hungry, huh?" Hope asked.
"Yep! It's the best outcome! Aaaah…" Rutega sighed as Hope looked… to see she had wiped out all the food she had gotten.
Hope smiled. It was pretty obvious that rutega would fit in fine with everyone. Although, he had stuff to work on himself. He needed to know how to help Rutega train to the best of her ability without burning herself out. A partner in training is only as good as the knowledge they know, and though Hope knew plenty of how the techniques of the Dragonball World are applied in battle, how to refine them is a different story.
Luckily, Hope had a saving grace, as he suddenly was getting an incoming live transmission call, and upon answering it, he would see Siege.
"Hey, hey! How's the inaugural member of the Future Seeker's Coalition faring, Hope?" Siege asked with a friendly tone.
"Hey Siege, its great. I just treated Rutega to some food." Hope said. "Listen, its good that you called. I need some tips. Im helping Rutega refine her Kaioken so she can output it higher. Our goals are X600 for Base, and X75-100 for Blue. You got any advice for me to help her out?"
"Well, if I know Rutega, she's impatient. I bet the first thing you two did was try to improve her Kaioken, and those goals were HER goals that she set." Siege remarked. "The first issue you run into is that Rutega tries to rush getting stronger. I get she's worried about everyone's safety, but, rushing power is like trying to rush a grill. You know what happens when you try to get that fire too hot, too fast? Burnt food and a quickly worn out fire. I suggest you focus on other training routines with Rutega, and make her pace her Kaioken training. Shoot for higher, long term goals instead. Like Kaioken X1000 at base, and maybe X500 in transformations." Siege advised.
"Got it. I'll make sure she puts on the brakes. Hmm… maybe the best way to help her adapt in the slow run is to help her get used to fighting with higher kaioken outputs, just like how Super Saiyan forms need adjusting." Hope theorized.
"Bad idea. She'll only try to boost farther while using them. Try endurance training at lower levels. Force her into spars with your other members at Kaioken X50, 100, 150 and such. Only go up higher when Rutega stops escalating power for the fight at hand." Siege advised.
"Hmm, thats gonna be difficult. I dont have many people besides me that can keep up with a sayain." Hope said.
"Hmmm…." Siege pondered before he snapped his fingers. "Then… why not just let Rutega get to know everybody and have her offer to spar without Kaioken? That way, if they get stronger, she can practice her endurance on them."
"Dude, dont mean to kill the idea but… shes a Sayain. Even holding back its gonna be hard for everybody to keep up." Hope said. "I've generously have no idea what im supposed to do here. Ive trained with my team and all sorts of people, but I don't have a clue about how to help a Sayain."
"Hope. Rutega has trained humans on my Squad. You get me? Humans. H. U. M. A. N. S. In other words, people who have little to no chance to keep up with her! And guess what her results yielded? Warriors like Sam. Warriors like Rinkah. Hell, she goes over to Akuma's dojo constantly to help him and his students improve constantly! And here's a shocker for you, this universe has our own Yamcha. And he was absolutely way too weak to even take a flick from Rutega. Now? He's starting to be able to hold up with Rutega while she's a Super Saiyan. So you tell me it's impossible now." Siege rebutted.
"Dude, i know its possible. I just gotta find my own way to help Rutega." Hope said.
"Alright, alright… Look, I'll leave it to you, but sometimes you just… have to go with the flow of things. Or… I dunno." Siege sighed. "Look, I got my own issues going on so… I'll leave you to it, good luck, I was just offering some options."
"And it was great advice, man. Don't sell yourself short." Hope said. "And thanks again for letting me do this."
As he hung up, Hope looked to see that Rutega was up and headed to settle into her new second home in the Color Verse. As he watched, the question was now, what was going to be his way of helping Rutega? But he had hope, and he was going to give it the best try he could.
All he needs is some inspiration.
