Hello everyone. Hope you all are enjoying what's going on so far.
I would like to apologize to the person who sent me the review about Kameron x Lapis. I didn't mean to delete it, I was just getting rid of some creepy review. You're review made me happy and thanks for that.
Episode 56: Synchronization
November 11th 1:45 p.m.
Silence. Not a single word was spoken from the the group. Further and further they traveled down without a whisper. Glances were placed on one another, yet not a word was said.
Bing!
Turning their heads the group watched the door open before they each walked out. Once out the group began walking again. Each of their eyes focused headlong at what was in front of them, not rotating nor placing their vision onto their surroundings. The atmosphere held...some tension within it, as if it was waiting for the right moment to make a shift.
Up ahead the group saw a large door in the distance. The door itself showcased a large image of a dove spreading it's wings. From top to bottom nine different colored light-bulbs were placed at different areas of the dove. Green and white on the head of the dove. Yellow, blue, and red located on the left wing. Orange, Indigo, and pink placed on the right wing. Lastly, black got placed on the tail-wing of the dove.
Approaching the door Amber walked up to a keyboard directly below the door. Placing her hands onto the keyboard she soon began typing. Each key she pressed made a light-bulb glow in seconds, and without wasting a single moment each bulb was soon glowing their respected colors.
Stepping away from the keyboard Amber and the group locked their eyes onto the door. Little by little the door began to open up nice and wide. Soon as it was opened up all the way the group entered the other side.
Once the final person walked in the group stood in place. Directly in front of them there was a large staircase, twisted and spiraled until it reached the bottom floor. Beyond the stairs the group witnessed a large section of shelves from left to right. Each shelf held a large octagon-shaped window with an object inside. From left to right the group counted each shelf aligned and surprisingly well organized. The total count ranked up to...thirteen on each side.
"We'll split into two groups of five." Azurite announced. "Me, my sisters, and Amethyst shall traverse the shelves from the right side." She added before turning her head, "Brothers. You three, Garnet, and Bismuth check the shelves on the left side."
"Deal." Pyrope replied. "We'll cover more ground and speed things along."
Azurite nodded.
Without another word said by anyone else, the group began going down the large flight of stairs. Reaching the bottom the group split into two groups of five and went toward their assigned directions.
Going over to the left side Pyrope gazed over at the various windows down his aisle. Small hums exited his mouth with each window he passed, but his body soon came to a halt at the next window. Approaching it Pyrope slowly raised his arm, placing a hand on the glass window. On the other side there were two large blades wrapped in chains.
Pyrope's eyes quickly narrowed. His teeth clenched at the very sight of the blades. Looking at them...brought back very, very painful memories. His eyes slowly closed while he turned his head away. Turning it back he reopened his eyes and gently tapped the window. A small ripple pulsed through the window right as it slowly broke apart and opened itself up. With both hands he reached out and grabbed the handles of the blades, pulling them out of their container. Once they were out the window's glass began to reform and reconstruct itself, almost like it never broke apart in the first place.
"Pyrope."
Turning his head he spotted Garnet walking up to him.
"That isn't gonna help create the drill." Garnet pointed out.
"Really? I never thought about that." Pyrope replied sarcastically. "I'm taking these blades anyway."
"You're strong enough." Garnet said.
Pyrope shrugged. Gripping onto the handles he raised the blades toward his Gemstone. His Gemstone slowly illuminated...and shortly after the blades were absorbed into it.
Putting his hands down Pyrope slowly balled his hands. Sucking in some air into his nose he slowly exhaled it out of his mouth. There was no telling what he was gonna see the day they leave, but...they have to succeed. Too much was at stake... Too much had been lost... More and more Pyrope tightened his hands.
Pyrope's eyes rapidly shot open. Shifting his head he saw Garnet's hand placed on his shoulder, adding some pressure onto it. Shifting his head to Garnet the de-facto leader of the Crystal Gems didn't show an expression. Instead she reached her other hand out, placing it onto Pyrope's other shoulder. Turning his body to her she pulled him in and wrapped both of her arms around him.
This was...a little awkward. Normally Garnet wouldn't show direct affection like this. She'd say comforting words...in her way and was always direct with her words. As of right now...Pyrope was just...stunned. This was...new...
"What are you doing?" Pyrope asked.
"You looked like you needed a hug." Garnet replied simply.
"Future Vision?" Pyrope questioned.
"No." Garnet answered simply. She soon tightened her embrace on Pyrope, but not too tight. "...Because of past events."
Pyrope's eyes slowly widened at Garnet's words. His eyes soon closed and he raised up his arms before wrapping them around Garnet's waist. To be honest...this was...still very, very awkward. But...in a weird way...it was very comforting. A long sigh left Pyrope's mouth as he rested his head onto Garnet's chest.
Garnet's lips began to stretch, forming a small grin. Pyrope was and still to this day a hothead to her. Their perspectives weren't very aligned at times, nor have they seen eye to eye on occasion. But...at the end of the day their goals were the same. Plus...with everything going on and what occurred in the past, even though they needed to focus on finding parts for the drill, a moment of comfort and communication is just as important.
On the other side of the shelf Citrine opened up a container and closed it right back. He soon opened up the container next to the previous one, then the next, and the next, and the next, and the next, but haven't found anything remotely helpful for the drill. Going over to the next container Citrine opened it and once he did his face softened. Reaching into the container he pulled out the object and brought it up to his face.
"Whatcha got there?" Bismuth said, walking up to her longtime friend.
Right in Citrine's palm the duo placed their eyes onto a large chrome cube. Bringing up his other hand Citrine brought out his index finger and directed it at the cube. On contact the area from Citrine's finger squished, but as Citrine retracted his finger the squished area quickly reformed itself back to the way it was.
"This'll definitely be apart of the drill." Citrine said with a smirk.
Bismuth tilted her head. Her eyes never leaving the cube, "Why? What is it?"
Citrine lowered the cube near his Gemstone right when it started to glow. The cube went inside without an inch of trouble just as his Gemstone stopped glowing.
"You'll see when we get started." Citrine assured. "I was gonna suggest we head over to the Kindergartens and take the drills from the Injectors, but we're gonna have to build that too since we destroyed them all."
Both Citrine and Bismuth groaned. Yeah, wrecking those Injectors was a good idea to prevent Home-World from activating them again, but...thinking on it now with the current situation, maybe...they should've kept some parts in case of any future issues.
"Yeah, well...at least it'll be from scratch." Bismuth replied. Raising her hands she balled them into fists and soon smashed them together with a confident grin across her lips, "That's what's gonna make it special."
A chuckle exited Citrine's mouth. It never failed to feel good around Bismuth's optimism.
Lifting his head Citrine spotted his brother Onyx at the very top of the shelves. How he got there was a stupid question to even think about.
"Onyx!" Citrine called out.
Hearing his brother's voice, Onyx slowly shifted his head.
"You found anything useful?" Citrine asked.
Onyx nodded. Without giving his brother a response he opened up a portal and calmly went through it. In the far distance he reappeared onto a different shelf, resuming the search.
Floating in midair Azurite swiftly approached a container. Opening it a small gasp exited her mouth. Inside there was a...blue colored lantern with a small blue flame burning within it.
Her eyes started to shake as she reached out and grabbed the handle. Pulling it out she placed her other hand beneath it while bringing the lantern close to her face. It's shape... It's texture... the flame... Her lips smiled at the object with fresh tears falling onto her cheeks.
'It has been ages since we've last seen this...' Azurite thought to herself.
"Azurite."
A small gasp left Azurite's mouth. Her head descended to the source and located Amethyst right below her. Closing her eyes Azurite absorbed the lantern into her Gemstone and flew down to the wild Crystal. Approaching Amethyst Azurite turned her head to the container she was looking at. Opening it there was a large blue sphere inside.
"What's this thing?" Amethyst asked as she took it out.
"Be careful with that, Amethyst." Azurite warned before she took the sphere away. "This is Abyss."
"Abyss?" Amethyst replied with a cocked eyebrow.
Azurite nodded. "This sphere is extremely dangerous. I myself have used it's capabilities for a time before sealing it away."
Amethyst's visible eye gazed at the sphere then onto Azurite. Extremely dangerous, huh?
"By any chance, can I use it on Peridot?" Amethyst asked.
Azurite narrowed her eyes and placed Abyss back into it's container. "No. You will not."
"C'mon. That bitch deserves to face whatever Abyss is able to do." Amethyst argued.
"No." Azurite said firmly. "Let it go, Amethyst. Focus on the here and now."
Amethyst scoffed at her. Let it go? LET IT GO?! Why...? That doesn't make any sense. "Are you kidding me? Didn't you hear what that green chip said about Steven and Kameron?"
"Of course I did. All of us were there when it happened." Azurite replied.
"Then why aren't you mad?" Amethyst questioned.
Intertwining her hands together Azurite closed her eyes. She sucked in some air into her nose and exhaled it out the same way. Reopening her eyes she gave Amethyst a firm expression.
"I am. I am indeed angry at the words spoken from Peridot, but she was and isn't the only one who shows that kind of nature, was she?" Azurite informed calmly.
Blinking her eyes Amethyst's firm expression slowly morphed into one of confusion.
"Didn't Jasper say similar words to you when you faced her?" Azurite asked.
Amethyst's confusion soon shifted into a firm expression.
Jasper... Jasper... Just that name alone already made Amethyst's teeth grit. Her size... Her strength... Her perspective... Everything about that Gem just made Amethyst angry. And Peridot had stroked that fire again.
"Yeah, she did." Amethyst said, turning her head away. "And even now that Jasper is bubbled I can still hear her voice. Rose never expected anything from me, but...after she died Garnet started expecting a lot from me. I'm not like her or Pearl. I wasn't even born right. I don't even understand what I'm suppose to be. Who I really am."
Walking up to her Azurite bent herself forward. Reaching her hand out she placed it right onto Amethyst's head. Slowly rubbing it she softly smiled at the Crystal.
"Amethyst. Do you follow the paths of destiny and fate?" Azurite asked.
Amethyst shook her head, making Azurite retract her hand. "No. No, I don't. Unless all of this was suppose to happen."
Azurite shook her head, "No, Amethyst. Destiny and fate don't exist. You yourself decide how to live your life and decide for yourself what actions to take. No-one should decide your actions unless they require guidance. Don't fall into sorrow at the harsh words of others. Reality can be cruel and unforgiving, but there are comforts and good things that come from it. I alone had to learn this and to this day I continue learning it."
"But...I still don't know who I am." Amethyst addressed.
"I can't give you that answer." Azurite replied. "That is for you and you alone to find."
'Only me and me alone can find it?' Amethyst thought to herself.
Letting those words flow into her mind, Amethyst soon felt a...soothing sensation calming her. A smile slowly grew on her lips as she locked her eye onto Azurite. Even through the harshest of times this woman seemed to find a way to continue through it.
"Thanks, Azurite." Amethyst said.
Azurite nodded. "You're welcome. Now, let us continue our progress."
November 11th 2:45 p.m.
Drip... Drip... Drip... Little by little the droplets fell.
Bzzt... Bzzt... Bzzt... The lights flickered. Flies swarmed all around them, lost in awe at it's glow.
Splash... Splash... Splash... the water crashed into the sides. Up above it smoothly feel below. Straight on it flowed and split into various directions.
Kameron and Lapis walked side by side onto their path. As they walked the two shared some glances at each other, but neither spoke a word. The sounds of rain entered their ears as they turned toward a new direction, yet the silence remained.
Taking another glance at Lapis, Kameron noticed her holding her arms and showcasing an annoyed expression. From that alone he could tell what was on her mind, and though he wanted to ask there were a plethora of other things swirling in his brain that held his attention. Still... despite the peaceful silence, it was gonna have to end.
"Peridot?" Kameron asked.
Lapis turned her eyes to him, "It's that obvious, huh?"
"Yeah." Kameron replied.
Lapis stopped in her tracks, making Kameron stop and turn around to her. "I get why Green is keeping her around, but... Ugh! I can't stand looking at her or talking to her."
"I can't blame you for that. Her and Jasper forced you to come back to Earth." Kameron replied as he walked up to her.
"They're also responsible for the deaths of the Off Colors." Lapis angerly said. She released a long groan while tightening her grip on her arms. "Are you sure it's okay to keep her around?"
Kameron exhaled some air from his nose and placed both of his hands into his pockets. Lapis had a rightful point. Under different circumstances, putting Peridot in a bubble like Jasper would've been a good choice and to just be done with it. But... Peridot held some very important information. Plus, she knows who she's dealing with.
"I don't like this either, Lapis. And I don't like Peridot either, but we still need her." Kameron addressed. "You hate her, and I understand. You don't have to like her. For now, we're only cooperating until the Cluster situation is over."
Lapis released the grip on her arms as she closed her eyes. Sucking in some air into her nose she slowly exhaled it out of her mouth. Kameron was right. Even though this whole thing sucks, keeping Peridot around was essential. She reopened her eyes, looking at the boy in front of her.
"Okay." Lapis said softly.
Kameron gave her a nod. "We're almost to the place. Let's keep going."
As Kameron turned around to walk away he immediately stopped in place. Descending his eyes he noticed a hand intertwined with his. Lifting his head his eyes locked onto Lapis, who's cheeks started to burn when her eyes connected with Kameron's.
"Umm... Could you...hold my hand until we get there?" Lapis asked hesitantly.
Kameron began to feel his cheeks burn. Small thumps echoed in his heart as their hands were placed into one another. But...it wouldn't hurt to do this for a little while, would it?
"Sure. I don't mind." Kameron replied.
Hand in hand the two resumed their walk. With each step their hands tightened each other and their cheeks burned further. Though...their lips stretched into smiles.
Steven and Connie carefully walked down a large flight of stairs. Holding onto the rails wasn't optional through rust and large cracks, so their only form of balance was each other.
"Steven. Can I ask you something?" Connie asked after they took a step.
"What is it?" Steven replied.
"I don't splitting up was a good idea. I've never been down here before. You're sure we're heading in the right direction?" Connie asked.
Reaching the end of the stairs Steven and Connie released their hands from each other's. Closing his eyes Steven placed a finger on his cheek while humming. Connie had a point. Neither of them had been in the sewers before. Plus with the kind of weather happening outside, it did make this a lot more dangerous. But then again...Steven's been in dangerous locations before. Connie was still new, but from the experiences she's already been through, this shouldn't be any different.
Opening his eyes Steven opened his mouth, "We've been following the arrows so far. Plus Kameron said these directions all lead to the same place. He's my brother and I trust him."
Though Connie wasn't too sure about all this or to where they were going, they couldn't wasn't anymore time. Kameron wouldn't split them up if he wasn't sure they could handle it.
"Okay." Connie replied.
Steven nodded. The duo placed their eyes at the tunnel up ahead, but just as they started moving loud hisses entered their ears, making them stop. Steven swiftly pulled out his sword and handed it to Connie.
"You heard that, right?" Connie asked.
"Loud and clear." Steven replied, summoning his shield.
Back to back the duo swiftly directed their eyes to their surroundings. Back and forth they looked to see what was the source of that hissing. So far...there was nothing. Then as they lifted their heads both of their eyes shot open at the same time.
On the ceiling above them...there was a group of grey-colored creatures with long tails, black eyes, and black Gemstones on their bodies. Each of the creatures hissed at the duo and pounced off of the ceiling, diving straight toward them.
Raising his shield Steven expanded it's size right as the creatures landed on it. The added weight made him fall onto one knee, but as he gritted his teeth he roared at them, pushing them away from his shield.
Landing on the wet stones and concrete the creatures snarled at the Crystals. Connie raised her sword and dashed straight at them. Coming up to one of the creatures she swung her sword downward, slicing it's head right off without too much effort.
POOF!
In mere seconds the creature's physical body poofed and it's Gemstone fell onto the ground.
The other creatures angerly hissed at her and quickly rushed toward their prey. Connie smirked at them right as she bent down on one knee. Right behind her Steven ran and jumped over her before bashing the remaining creatures with his shield. On impact the creatures were pushed away from the duo just as Steven landed on the ground.
"Jam-Buds!" Both Steven and Connie yelled.
Together they ran side by side. Leaping into the air they locked their arms onto one another and began to spin. With sword and shield in hand the duo fell back onto the ground, closing their eyes.
POOF!
POOF!
POOF!
One by one the remaining creatures poofed simultaneously. Each of their Gemstones fell onto the ground as Steven and Connie opened their eyes.
Unlocking their arms Steven dismissed his shield and picked up each of the Gemstone. Placing them all into a bubble he soon tapped the top of the bubble, sending the collection of Gems away.
"Are you okay?" Steven asked Connie.
Connie nodded. "I'm okay. Though I have to ask: Exactly how many Corrupted are there?"
Hearing this Steven's face fell. Raising his hands he placed right onto his chest. Lifting his head he show Connie his solemn, yet sorrowful expression.
"Too many." Steven said softly. "During the Great War, there were millions of Gems fighting. Meaning, there are millions of Corrupted. Right now both the Crystals and Rainbows have contained a large amount of them. But sometimes... Just sometimes... the Rainbows shatter them."
Connie gasped. "What?"
"The Rainbows do it because most of the Corrupted they fight give them no other choice. Kameron only did it once, but doesn't follow that path." Steven said solemnly. "I hope with all my heart that we'll find a way to save them. There's been enough death."
Gripping onto his shirt Steven lowered his eyes and shut them tightly. There has to be a cure. How long should the Corrupted suffer? How long until this all ends? Questions Steven couldn't answer. Even if he did, many more will take it's place.
Steven soon felt some weight on his body, making him open his eyes to see Connie embracing him. With one arm she tightened herself onto him and smiled. Without a word Steven lifted his arms, wrapping them around her.
"It's gonna be okay." Connie said softly. "Remember, you're not alone. Don't shoulder this all by yourself."
Steven tightened the embrace, making his lips smile from her words.
The duo released themselves from one another. Connie gave Steven the sword back, and in turn he sheathed it back into the scabbard.
With their business in the area done they turned and made their way toward the tunnel ahead.
"Now that we are officially alone, how about we begin our interview?" Ronaldo asked.
"What's an interview?" Peridot replied with a raised eyebrow.
"I ask you some questions and you answer them." Ronaldo answered. "You are also free to ask me questions as well."
Peridot continued looking at him with confusion. It's bad enough that she got captured, had to earn her Limb-enhancers back, expose her mission to her adversaries, and work with them to stop the Cluster. Now, shes with a strange Organic who wants to learn about her. On one hand, she could simply dispose of him, but that would violate the alliance, so she has little choice but to comply.
"Very well, Ronaldo. I shall entertain your mind with information. Ask away." Peridot said while rolling her eyes.
Ronaldo squealed. Yes! Yes! He finally uncover the truth about Gem kind. He himself already has several beliefs in them, but with a Gem he's never met before, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about them. Sure he could just ask Kameron and Steven about their families or look into the Rebellion Book, but as a researcher and a curious young man, he must uncover it in solitude.
Pulling out his phone Ronaldo held it up and it directed it at Peridot. "Okay. First question: Are Gems polymorphic sentient rocks?"
Peridot's eyes shot open at his words. "H-How did you know that?"
"Please answer the question." Ronaldo replied.
Peridot scoffed, "Of course."
Ronaldo giggled. "I knew it! Okay, okay. Second question: Are your action dictated by a group called the Great Diamond Authority?"
Peridot gasped. "How do you know this? And yes, but my actions are my own. My beautiful Diamonds are responsible for the actions of our race, but we have a good reason for it."
"Is it to save your race from extinction?" Ronaldo replied.
Peridot gasped once more and stopped in her tracks, making Ronaldo do the same.
How? How was it that this Organic was able to figure out The Cause. Kameron and Steven must of told him, but then again they didn't know what The Cause was until the Cluster was explained.
Narrowing her eyes Peridot stepped up to Ronaldo, getting dangerously close to his phone. "How...? How is it that you were able to figure out my kind?" She asked firmly.
Having his back against the tunnel Ronaldo gulped. "Um...I...I figured it out myself. No-one helped me, I swear. Mainly because most people see me as a creep."
Tilting her head Peridot's firm expressed shifted into confusion, "What are you implying?"
Lowering his phone Ronaldo stepped forward, locking his eyes onto Peridot. "Ever since I was little, I've always had an interest in the unknown. Figuring out mysteries, detailing them to those who would listen, and getting excited when I'm close to figuring it out. But...when it comes to my peers, they either ignore me or call me names. My mom supports my passions, but my dad and little brother don't. When I saw the Corrupted and learned about the Gem race I had to be the person who could figure out who they are, what they are, and all of their secrets."
Staring into Ronaldo's eyes, Peridot...blinked at him. Huh... This Organic alone single-handedly figured out details about her race. That's...actually very clever. Meaning...his brain capacity must be high, but not high enough to match hers, obviously. Still...this is a very interesting Organic that she's come across.
"Interesting." Peridot said as she rubbed her chin.
Now it was Ronaldo who blinked at her. "What?"
"Ronaldo. I do not have a full interest in your kind. However, despite that, you are beginning to intrigue me." Peridot replied. She soon crossed her arms, "But don't let this compliment mean I am starting to like my imprisonment on this planet. Keep your intellect matched with mine and maybe I'll entertain you more. For now, we have a mission to complete."
Ronaldo's lips began to stretch into a large smile. His eyes sparkled at her. Her words brought an orchestra of thumps in his chest.
Ronaldo rapidly nodded. Putting his phone away they continued on moving forward.
Coming up to the end of the tunnel Ronaldo and Peridot stopped in place. In their surroundings there were two waterfalls flowing rapidly from left to right. Directly in front of them was a metal bridge, unfortunately it's mid-section was completely destroyed. Not only that, but directly below the bridge was a huge stream of water. To their left their was a large hole, leading to another section of the sewers. Moreover, on the other side of the bridge there was a large gate.
Turning their heads both Ronaldo and Peridot located a terminal system near the bridge. Lifting their heads they spotted another terminal system on the other side of the bridge within a small office window.
"Looks like we'll need to press both switches." Both said in unison.
Gasps left their mouths as they looked at each other, "Did you say the same thing I said?" They said again in unison.
Another gasp left their mouths.
Putting that aside Ronaldo walked up to the terminal#1. Peridot raised her arm up, turning her fingers into rotors and propelling herself onto the other side. Landing on the ground she approach the office door and grabbed the knob, but as she twisted it the door wouldn't open. Scoffing she took a step back and raised both of her arms up. Each of her fingers began rotating at a fast pace while a large green sphere of energy began to form.
Firing the sphere it impacted the door, blowing it off of it's hinges.
Stepping into the office Peridot located terminal#2. Looking up she spotted Ronaldo. Placing a finger onto the large red button both of them pressed it in sequence.
The moment they did the gate near the office started coming down.
Exiting the office Peridot watched Ronaldo approaching the broken bridge and hesitantly jumped onto the other side. Right at the moment his feet landed they immediately slipped on some fresh water, shifting Ronaldo's balance until he began to fall back. Shutting his eyes he embraced the inevitable, but...it wasn't coming. Opening his eyes he saw Peridot grabbing onto his arm. Pulling him forward Ronaldo slipped again, only this time he moved forward, colliding onto Peridot.
On impact and instinct he wrapped his arms around her waist. Looking up he saw her face and felt his cheeks burn.
"Release me this instant." Peridot say firmly.
On her word Ronaldo released her and quickly stood up. "S-sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to do that."
"Are you injured?" Peridot asked.
Locking his eyes onto his arms, legs, and stomach, Ronaldo shook his head.
"Good. Let us continue." Peridot said.
Through the gate both of them entering into another tunnel. Side by side the two fell into silence with each step they made. Though the silence would not last for long.
"Thank you for saving me." Ronaldo said.
Peridot turned her eyes to him, "You're welcome. Plus if anything happened to you I would be bubbled by Kameron."
Ronaldo hummed.
"Ronaldo." Peridot said, making him look at her. "For your achievement of surviving, you are permitted to ask me a question."
Ronaldo looked away for a moment, gathering his thoughts together. What could he ask her now? Better question, what can he ask her now? There were so many things he wanted to ask her, but he was only limited to one. Placing a finger under his chin Ronaldo started humming. His thoughts swirled and swished in his brain. Soon...his eyes shot open.
"There is something I do want to ask." He said softly.
"What is it?" Peridot replied.
"Can we be friends?" Ronaldo asked.
Peridot halted her movements, making Ronaldo do the same.
'Friends? Friends? That type of concept is pointless. Why would I indulge in such a wasteful procedure.' Peridot thought to herself. Why would she want something like that? She's a technician. All of their focus is on machinery and obeying orders from the Diamonds. One of the best aspects of a technician is the solitude. Only on occasion has she been forced to interact with other Gems for her projects or objectives given to her by the higher ups. Being alone wasn't...too...bad. Actually thinking about that now, Peridot hasn't really or fully engaged in conversations she likes. Should she?
With everything happening and for what was to come, there wasn't any time. Yet right here and now she was speaking to an Organic that was given her all of her attention. Wanting to learn about her kind and discover more aspects about her. Such a concept and action...haven't...actually...happened to her before.
Turning around Peridot approached Ronaldo. She sighed and placed a hand on her hip, "Very well."
Ronaldo was shocked. "Really?"
Peridot nodded. "There isn't much time left for this planet, so I suppose I can indulge in a inner desire for the time being."
Ronaldo's shock soon turned into confusion, "W-What are you talking about?"
"Kameron will explain it to you. For now, let us not waste anymore time." Peridot replied.
Ronaldo nodded.
From different sections of the area Kameron, Lapis, Steven, Connie, Ronaldo, and Peridot arrived at their destination.
The area itself was incredibly massive with various stations leading to unknown locations. The ground showcased a large set of tracks leading to the stations. Up above there was a large pile of green crystals covering an enormous hole.
One by one each group walked out of their tunnels and went straight toward the center.
"Whoa! Kameron this is the perfect place for the drill." Steven said joyfully.
"Thanks." Kameron replied. "And when it's complete it doesn't matter which station we choose, we'll still head in the right direction."
Peridot slowly walked around the area, observing it's confines. To be honest, this was a perfect place for the drill.
"Peridot didn't give you too much Ronaldo?" Lapis asked.
Ronaldo shook his head. "No. we were okay. I think we might be growing a little closer."
"Still, don't have your guard down too much." Connie informed.
Walking back up to the group, Peridot nodded her head. "It's perfect."
"Good. I'll call the others and let them know." Kameron replied as he pulled out his phone.
"Peridot." Ronaldo called, gaining her attention. "Wanna look at my Keep Beach City Weird contents?"
"What's that?" Peridot asked.
Walking over to her Ronaldo pulled out his phone and opened up his blog. Scrolling through a multitude of lists, Peridot discovered some interesting material Ronaldo created.
"Do Gems have telepathy? The Hierarchy of the Great Diamond is oppressing the minds of the lower-class. Rebels begin to form, yet fall apart." Peridot said out loud. Looking at Ronaldo, Peridot switched her vision from his phone and then back to him.
"I wish to further explore this." Peridot said nonchalantly.
End Of Episode 56.
I've really wanted to explore Ronaldo a bit here and have him become apart of this. I also want to say that there's more to him than meets the eye. In Canon the Crewniverse only show us his annoying side. He's way more than that.
See you all soon.
