Reinhard smiles awkwardly and actually does a good knightly bow. "It is as my friend says, even if this isn't the first time we are meeting." I'm guessing Gameshark knows all the candidates.

Anastasia extends her hand to Reinhard. "It's certainly nice to meet y'all again." Reinhard kisses her hand.

She also extends her hand to me. "So are ya the famous Subaru Natsuki?" I kiss her hand, soon I'll be kissing other people as well!

I nod. "Yes Lady Anastasia, I am." I have no idea what the rumors surrounding my existence are right now, but I'm sure they are hyping me up.

The Finest Knight, Julius also bows. "It's an honor to be around such esteemed warriors... And to see you again Lady Emilia."

Mili extends her hand and Julius kisses it. "It's nice to meet you again too Julius." I'm not the original Subaru so I don't immediately enter incel mode when this scene plays out.

Both Mili and Anastasia take their our seats across each other, Gameshark, Julius and I don't, instead we stand at the side of the person we are supposed to protect.

Mili smiles. "So how was the journey to get here? Nice?" Boring probably... I hate long carriage drives!

Anastasia smiles back. "It was nice 'nuff." She looks at Julius. "There some maebeast in the way, but my brave knight over here took care of it."

Julius smiles. "I'm only doing my duty." Yeah! You're paying him and stuff! Probably... She is paying him right?

Mili sighs in relief. "Thank goodness, the roads have been dangerous recently." Everything has been dangerous recently!

Anastasia waves her off. "Thank ya for the concern, but everythin' went fine." Her accent is cute! Call me 'Sugah' please!

Gameshark and Mili give me a terrified look, they know what I'm capable off. Julius gives me a confused look, soon he will know what I'm capable off.

Anastasia blushes. "Nobody is in love with y-ya!" She then mutters the next words, they are really quiet, so I can barely hear them. "Shit, my heart really did skip a beat."

Anastasia and Julius's eyes widen in shock. "W-what?" They both say that in synch, truly the mark of good friends.

Gameshark smiles. "Indeed, even the maids who brought you here are part of Subaru's harem... Which is why this is so sad!"

Gameshark takes Anastasia's hand. "I'm so sorry! It truly is a tragedy that Subaru won't answer your love!"

Anastasia just looks confused. "Did I step in crazy land? I fuckin' knew crazy land existed." A candidate shouldn't swear! I can see Mili getting bothered by it!

Gameshark gives me a pleading look. "Are you sure you can't make more space Subaru!? I'm sure Lady Anastasia would be a wonderful lover?"

I shake my head. "I'm afraid I can't... Even if she's totally desperately in love with me because we are soulmates, I'll have to sadly reject her."

Anastasia looks like a deer in the headlights. She puts her hands in her chest. "Shit, this guy is surprisingly dangerous..." I know right!?

He looks at Anastasia. "My lady, perhaps you are tired from our travel? Would like to rest for a bit?" He's attributing her blushing to her being tired!?

She glares back at him. "Julius, stay quiet for a while, 'm doing some thinkin'." She looks back at me.

And then smiles. "This is some awkward flirtin', but fuck it, ya want me 'Sugah'? Ya can have me."

I raise an eyebrow. "But I just rejected you." Did she not pay attention!? Please pay attention!

She nods. "Yeah, yeah, anyways, if ya leave this camp I'm willin' to become yer' woman. It would be nice right? Gettin' to be the husband of the king."

I blink in confusion. "Yeah...? That's what I plan on becoming." I'm dating Mili after all.

She claps. "Great then! I'll certainly accept a fighter of ya level for so cheap... Gotta say though, ya got some courage, sellin' yourself in front of yer' last employee."

She raises an eyebrow. "How am I confusin' myself? It's clear that this is yer' weird method of sellin' yourself, right?"

I shake my head. "Nope, like I said, you're in love with me, but I already have to many lovers, so I'll pass."

Mili nods. "Yes! Also Subaru will become the husband of the king when he marries me! Since I'm winning the election."

Anastasia has a look of disbelief. "So... I'm in love with ya? But ya already have a harem? So yer' going to reject me?" I nod.

Anastasia looks to the ceiling. "I..." She stays like that for a while. "Don't know how to feel 'bout this."

Julius looks at her. "I believe the emotions you should be feeling are embarrassment and anger my lady." What are you!? Her brain!?

Anastasia begins chuckling. "Ya know what? I'm takin' this too seriously, there are different types of people everywhere, I'm gonna ignore this little quirk of yours."

Julius smiles. "Such wisdom, worthy of a king, my lady." There wasn't any wisdom about what she said! If she was wise she would have left already!

Anastasia looks at me. "Gotta say though, ya are a curious man Sugah, my information network couldn't find anything about ya." She's going to keep calling me that!?

I shrug. "I'm just a normal Vollachian swordsman." I'm sticking to my backstory until the day I die.

She raises an eyebrow. "A normal Vollachian swordsman dueled the Sword Saint? Sure, next you're gonna tell me yer' princess is just your average gal."

Mili giggles. "Heh, I'm his princess." We choose to ignore Mili for now.

I nod towards Anastasia. "Yeah, I'm just a normal swordsman, I just happen to be very talented as well."

Gameshark nods. "Yes, but you do come from a legendary lineage, correct Subaru?" Huh? "That's where you got your Six Eyes from after all."

Ah shit, I forgot my horrible lies. "Yeah, I guess you could say I'm a bit more fortunate than the average swordsman."

Anastasia snorts. "A bit more fortunate huh? Well whatever, I mostly came here to meet ya, so I accomplished my main objective."

Gameshark raises an eyebrow. "Why did you desire to meet Subaru? I thought for sure that you had business with Lady Emilia."

I smile. "She probably just knew that the love of her life would be found here." I shrug. "Like I said, we are soulmates."

Anastasia blushes. "That's not it at all! And I definitely have somethin' or another to say to Emilia over here!"

Julius raises an eyebrow. "We do?" Anastasia glares at him immediately of course.

She quickly nods. "We do!" She then looks at Mili. "I want to propose a alliance between our camps." Oh?

Mili raises an eyebrow. "That's unexpected, well... It's not like I'm against it, but I am surprised."

Anastasia smiles. "I don't blame ya, but the truth is that we need this if we want to have a chance at winnin'."

Anastasia then sighs. "The truth is that we are the most disliked candidates, specially with all this crazy prophecy talk goin' on..."

I interject. "I don't think that's true, recently I've done a lot of crazy stuff." I gave the Witch's Cult the most embarrassing defeat they have ever suffered.

Anastasia nods. "Yeah, everyone thinks yer' great Sugah." Please never stop calling me that! "But the problem is that the public ain't giving credit to yer' girlfriend over here."

She continues. "Subaru Natsuki sure is amazin', shame he follows the half-devil, that's the what the general public thinks right now."

She smirks. "That said, if ya joined any other camp, they would win immediately, people would even ignore the fact that I'm a foreigner."

I shake my head. "I could, but nah. I support Mili, and it's not just because she's my lover, it's because I think she deserves it."

Mili smiles. "Thank you Subaru, I lo~ve you." I give her a thumbs up, silver haired elves truly are the best!

Anastasia chuckles. "I do respect that, but I doubt most people will... You should expect invites from the other camps for sure."

She continues. "And speakin' of them, they are bound to crush us. First Crusch Karsten is crazy popular, she's already a high ranking noble too."

She sighs. "Then there's Melty Pristis, she's doin' surprisingly well, but the real problem will come once the selection starts."

Mili raises an eyebrow. "How so?" Honestly I'm not that surprised she's doing well, if she has backing from Capella...

Anastasia gives us a serious look. "It's 'cause she's affiliated with the church of the dragon, once the prophecy spreads around the public will definitely flock to her."

That makes sense. People will be looking for divine guidance in times like these, and Volcanica is thought of as a god by most people.

Anastasia continues. "There's Priscilla Barielle too, she recently drove off the Witch's Cult, a feat people aren't overlookin' like they did to yours."

She sighs. "She also make some deal with Russell Fellow, I've got no idea what it is, but they sure are conspirin' against me. The only thin' I know is that some fellow called Otto was involved."

Otto? Hopefully he found his footing then... I guess Priscilla is super lucky, so maybe she stumbled onto him? Otto is supposed to be a genius after all, he would be a good addition to her camp.

Anastasia summarizes the situation. "Basically nobody likes us, let's team up." That's up to Mili.

The half-elf pauses in thought and the answers. "This is way too big of an decision to ma~ke right here and now." That's true.

Anastasia nods. "I won't deny that, but I'm stayin' here until tomorrow, so don't worry 'bout it."

She continues. "I understand that you have to consult your sponsors, so even if ya can't decide by tomorrow... feel free to talk with me anytime."

Mili nods. "Then I'll do that... I promise I'll put a lot of thought into your offer!" How cute, my king is doing king stuff. Kind of.

I get up. "Anyways, even if I'll have to reject you, I might as well give you a helping hand Anastasia."

She blinks in confusion. "A helpin' hand? With what?" Is it wrong that I find confused girls cute!?

I activate my Six Eyes. "I'm talking about the problems with your gate of course." Before she can say anything I put my hand into her chest.

Julius immediately triest to jump in, but Gameshark stops him. "It's fine Julius." The finest knight slowly nods.

Anastasia seems surprised, she's also blushing, for obvious reasons. "What are y-ya doing!?" Feeling up your boobs!

Actually I'm healing her with Mushoku Tensei magic... And lots of boosts of course, still this is super complicated.

Thankfully her damaged gate seems easier to fix than Gameshark's and with my Six Eyes seeing deep inside of her I won't need custom made medicine.

Still, this is genuinely pretty hard, without my boosts I wouldn't be able to do it, I'm definitely sweating a bit.

This is... I need a bit more, I can't consciously heal her, but maybe I can unconsciously heal her.

Reverse curse energy can do that, but I can't output it outside of my body, that was one of the few weaknesses of [Satoru Gojo].

I sigh. "This... I managed to alleviate the pain a little, but that's it..." I might need to ask Echidna for help.

Anastasia raises an eyebrow and then pulls her scarf closer. "I..." After a moment she smiles. "Huh. You really did help, thanks, I appreciate it."

I smile. "Give me a sec, I have a better idead." I make a shadow puppet, pouring enough curse energy on it that I might as well be summoning Mahoraga. "Round Deer."

A massive deer is summoned, he immediately hits his head on the ceiling and does a lot more damage than I planned.

I'm holding the pieces of debris with Limitless. "Oops." Still, this is my best shot, since Round Deer can output reverse curse energy.

Thankfully Anastasia's problem is different than Gameshark's, since it's also affecting her physical stamina hopefully my Round Deer can heal her.

It will be a problem if the issue goes as far as her Od however, since reverse curse energy can't heal the soul.

At my summoning on Round Deer, Emilia, Gameshark and Anastasia widen their eyes. Julius however, bows his head. "Such a mighty spirit..." He's not a spirit at all, sorry Julius!

I start accumulating boosts. "Sorry about the scare, but this guy can heal better than I can." At least in this very specific situation.

Anastasia's looks above, to the debris I'm holding back. "I-I see? How do ya even know about my health problems in the first place...?" She's hiding her mouth with her scarf.

I smile. "Eye powers, you did notice my eyes changed right?" She nods. "It's a family heritage thing, don't worry about it."

I use gift to boost up Round Deer's reverse curse energy, he starts healing Anastasia, it's just like I thought, he can't heal her deeper wounds.

Still, her condition did get better, she went from a girl that will probably kick the bucket in a few years to someone who just can't use magic.

I dismiss Round Deer. "Well, it's done, I can't heal you more than this." At least not right, maybe I could do it if I grinded my healing to god-rank.

Anastasia looks to her hand. "Ya really did... Holy shit." She's stretching her body. "Why? What's the price?"

I shrug. "It's free, because-" I'm interrupted by multiple people.

First Gameshark. "It's because Subaru is a good person." I'm definitely not! Like seriously, I'm the worst!

Then Mili. "If Subaru helped you, then it's because you're a go~od girl." I have no idea about how your thought process works!

And Julius just looks shocked. "I have no idea you were... sick, in the first place." That's going to be a very awkward conversation in the first place.

I wave them off. "Ignore the peanut gallery, I did it because we're soul mates, but I can't accept your love anymore, so this is the least I could do."

Also it would be a shame if Anastasia randomly kneeled over and died out of nowhere, she's way too cute for that.

Anastasia keeps her smile, and looks at me. "It's fine, I'm not takin' the offer off the table 'cause of spite or anythin'."

She chuckles. "The truth is that I'm a greedy gal, but things got so out of hand lately that I ended up forgettin' that."

There's something strange in her eyes. "Thanks for remindin' me off who I am Sugah." I didn't do anything though!

I shake my head. "I fail to see how I reminded you of your greed." I just healed her... Also I gaslighted her a lot.

She chuckles. "Ya just showed me there's somethin's money can't buy, and that sometimes the market of life can be unpredictable."

She continues. "Seriously, do you know how long I searched for someone that could help me? I just kinda gave up... And then you just saved me outta nowhere."

She starts laughing. "It's kinda funny really! All my money, and I can't compete with ya or the sword saint."

She shakes her head. "But screw that, I'm Anastasia Hoshin! I get what I want when I want!"

She points at me. "Right now I want a throne! So I'm going to get it! Don't even try to stand on my way, b-because I want ya too!" Eh!?

There's a big blush on her face. "I decided to snag myself a world power, but the sword saint ain't my type, the mad prince is crazy, and I ain't talking with a divine general any time soon."

She continues. "So you're the only one left! Besides ya made my heart skip a beat a lot, and nobody gets away with that!"

She grins. "I'm making yer' heart mine! That's my top priority right now, but like I said I'm a greedy gal so..."

She points at Mili. "I'm ruining yer' relationship! Sugah here doesn't have any more space in his heart, so I'm throwing some people out!"

She shrugs. "Besides, I don't like sharing anyways, I'm fine when people benefit the same time as me, but sharin' a man is going too far!"

She nods to herself. "That's right, I'm destroy yer' little harem! So ya will have no one except me! Get ready to be a object that belongs to me."

She stares at me. "So what's yer wish? Ya want money? I got it, I got so much I don't even know what do with it."

She points at Julius. "Like this guy over here." Julius smiles. "Or my friend, Ricardo, who saved me from hell... And now you, who saved me from a slow death."

She blushes. "And ya know what? You were my type as soon as I saw ya, just the right amount of muscles, just the type of face I like."

She continues. "Yer' face is cute, handsome and hot at the same time! How is that possible? Shit, we really are soulmates." Since when!?

She continues with a heavy blush. "Yer' voice sounds way too good, also what's with yer' smell? What kind of cologne is that? I love it."

She nods to herself. "Yeah, I like ya, so I'm leavin' for now, let's go Julius." The knight follows her in complete silence.

The only thing I can think of is... What's with greedy people and long ass speeches!? And the worst part is that she meant it as well, my phone did vibrate.

I knew she was crazy, but this is way too much... Well, I won't complain of course, since she's cute.

I land on top of Subaru, actually not on top of him, he somehow grabs me mid-air, it's quite impressive!

His face is twisted in shock. "M-mom!? What the hell!?" He's here.

I close my eyes. "Hey~, I'm going to go to sleep." This is quite nice, way better than my bed.

Subaru screams in protest. "W-wait!? E-explain what's going on!" He turns around to the red haired knight. "Gameshark! Go get Echidna!"

Gameshark? What a funny nickname... Ah, whatever, I'm staying with my eyes closed! Nobody is ruining my sleep!

See Kenichi? I told you he wasn't dead! You should have believed me you silly! I'm always right when it comes to Subaru!

AN: Feels weird coming back to this story after a few days... Fun fact there was an extra Satella scene, but I ended up cutting it off from the chapter.

Originally Satella was going to be the person bringing Naoko into the Re: Zero world, not Subaru's [Wrath] authority, but I decided that I liked this more.
