???, ???.
??? : "Mmh, it's a beautiful day outside" He observed as he opened his front door and stepped on the grass, looking at the different species of birds on the trees above his mundane home "the birds are singing… the flowers are blooming…".
The old man closed his front door and settled his basket on his right shoulder. "On days like these, an old man like me…"
"…"
"Should really find himself some company…" He muttered, turning a little sad as a little cloud of gloom appeared above his head.
"I know I choose to be a hermit but I really miss some good old social contact… Maybe I should contact my old friend back?" He muttered as he looked at the sky, blue as always with so little clouds… and a meteor…
"...Wait a minute–'' his eyes widened when he saw a maybe not so meteor descend from the sky and come straight at him at alarming speed!
So, in a split second reaction, he proceeded to do a backflip and successfully dodged the unknown object, the strange aircraft continuing its course further along the trees and out of sight until the ground shook with a big *boom*.
Curious and a little weary, he made his way towards its landing position to inspect what the unknown object was.
Arriving at the presumed crash site, he saw a crater with what seemed to be… a metal sphere?
He jumped down and walked closer towards the metal sphere where he could see it better.
Upon arriving beside it, he immediately identified a red window on the front of the metal object, could it be some sort of spacecraft?
Inching closer towards it, he observed some burn marks and scratches on its surface. What in Kami's name happened to it?
However as he was pondering on this thought, he suddenly started to hear a female robotic voice speaking in a surprisingly understandable language which seemed to come from the strange aircraft itself "PLANET EARTH SUCCESSFULLY REACH, DECOMPRESSION OF THE ATTACK BALL INITIATED" 'Planet Earth? Attack ball?'.
The old man jumped back and took a defensive stance as he watched the 'attack ball' release a good amount of steam before the door ultimately opened, letting the old man in an awkward silence as the steam evaporated itself into the air.
However, what he saw after the steam evaporated made him immediately drop his stance.
"Oh dear…" He exclaimed in a worried tone as he approached the capsule, a woman, perhaps in her twenties, was slumped back against her seat and seemingly unconscious.
Fortunately she does not seem to have any visible injuries thanks Kami but the fact that she is unconscious is greatly worrying him and proving to him that something is definitly wrong.
Putting his still empty basket on the ground, the old man started to walk towards the capsule, determined to help this poor woman.
Unfortunately for him though, someone did not take his intentions that way.
"What the-!" The old man exclaimed in surprise, catching in midair, thanks to his good set of reflex, the wild speedy offender that jumped at him from the inside of the spacecraft…
…and it's only a child.
"…A child? Where did you come from, little one? How come I didn't sense you?" He pondered as he tried to put the little guy in a better position so he would be more comfortable, however the little one didn't seem to like that at all because he trashed even harder in his grasp, widely swinging his fists, arm and feet at him.
"Please calm down! I do not want any harm any both of you, I promise!" The old man tried to calm the wild child by reassuring him that he only came to help them…which surprisingly seemed to work to a degree as the child stopped being overly aggressive and now only looked at him in a suspicious manner, that is good enough.
"Thank you for letting me a chance to explain myself little one" The old man smiled gently before he pointed to the still unconscious woman "You see, you and your mother, or what I presume she is, are not safe alone in the middle of the woods, and because she is unconscious I propose that I take the both of you to my house so I can properly protect and take good care of both of you until she is awoken and in good health while also taking care of you too. I however need your cooperation on this, do you accept my help or not? I will be deeply saddened if you refuse but it is your choice".
The old man waited calmly as the child was now looking straight into his eyes, as if he was judging his entire soul right here and there.
'Wow, if a stare could kill, I would be dead ten times over…' he chuckled.
After a good while of intense staring contest, the child nodded slowly, while still keeping an eye on him with his intense coal color eyes "Thank you little one, do you mind if you climb in this basket while I gently pick up your mother out of your spacecraft?" The old man pointed towards the fruit basket on the ground beside him.
The child huffed and swung his monkey tail back and forth in annoyance before crawling towards the fruit basket…
…wait a monkey tail?!
The old man's eyes widened in realization as he looked back at the child crawling, and he does indeed have a monkey tail on his back…
…Unconscious lady first and existential questions later.
"Alright, here we go!" The old man exclaimed as he took the unconscious woman out of the spacecraft and put her gently onto his shoulders, he then looked back towards his fruit basket and found the little one settled comfortably in it.
"Good" He nodded in appreciation as he took the fruit basket with the child in it. "Also please stay calm the whole way alright? Don't want you to fall out of the basket ok?" He gently advised the child… which he responded with an eye roll. "Don't give me that attitude little one, it's for your own safety. I would not be able to grab you in time in my condition so please follow my instructions" The child finally nodded, although not without a sigh of annoyance, which the old man decided to let pass.
As long as the child was staying calm, it was all that mattered to him at the moment.
𝙾𝚕𝚍 𝙼𝚊𝚗'𝚜 𝙷𝚘𝚞𝚜𝚎
"Here we are in my humble abode! I know it's not that big but it has everything we need for now" The old man stated as he put the unconscious woman on his bed and put some shard of ice enveloped in a bag of leaves on her forehead, hoping it will help her feel better and wake up faster.
He then looked towards the child, who was sitting on his table just beside the window, observing all of his movements in a calculated manner, prepared to defend his mother without hesitation in case he made any brusque or suspicious movement. "See? I will only approche her to assure myself that she is still in good health ok? And only in your presence" The old man reassured the child, which the latter responded by still looking at him in his intense look-.
*GROOOOOOOWWWWL*
"What in Kami's name was this??" The old man exclaimed, worried at the sudden noise as he closed his eyes to sense if there was perhaps a dinosaur in proximity-.
His train of concentration was immediately broken as a pencil made contact with the back of his head at full speed, making him flinch a little "ouch, why did you-" he immediately turned around towards the child to ask why would he do this, however any discontent he had vanished as he noticed the little one frowning heavily with some tears slowly dropping out of his eyes "oh dear was that your stomach?" The old man frowned, concerned "I'm sorry little one I did not notice you were hungry. I will make a dish right away, although I do not have baby food at the moment so I will share what I gathered last night and mash what I have so you can eat it alright?" The old man didn't waste any time and immediately went to work as he gathered all he needed for his dish.
𝙽𝚘𝚝 𝙼𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝙻𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚛
"And here we go! A five star dish for mister!" The old man exclaimed joyfully as he set the plate in front of the child still on his table as well as his own dish just beside it for himself.
Although he got a little confused when the child looked at his dish in confusion and… disappointment?
The little one then simply took everything in his hands and after what is one of thé most absurd things he ever encountered, he ate all of it in one bite which did not take more than 2 seconds before he looked at him with a look that said : '...That's it?'.
Blinking, he passed his own dish to the baby, which he took without hesitation and ate it at the exact same speed he did earlier, apparently not caring it wasn't even mashed…
Some time passed and the child got comfortable (or tired) enough to fall asleep, he carefully picked up the little monkey child and put him back on his mother before he settled himself on his chair with his pen, wanting to write a letter about the recent developpement to his old friend.
'Greetings Master, I write you this letter to first ask you how you are doing and second to inform you of my strange discovery.
Today I stumbled upon a strange sight while walking into the forest in search of apples. I thought it was a meteor at first but I was instead greeted by an unknown little spacecraft falling through the sky with what I discovered to be a woman with a baby inside it.
Fortunately the baby seems to be in good health if I judge it by the fact he tried to jumpscare me from the inside of his spacecraft.
The mother however, while I did not see any injuries, seems to be in a sort of micro coma.
I took the decision to bring them both to my home until she hopefully wakes up.
Now I did observe some interesting facts about our new guests :
For one I am pretty certain they both aren't humans, which I know doesn't sound pretty believable but it is surprisingly true. The mother and child seem to possess a monkey tail on their backside and after witnessing the baby eat all his AND my lunch in under 2 seconds, which I am pretty certain isn't possible for a human baby, I am pretty confident that they both aren't from Earth.
Second, I have never in my whole life sensed a power as high as this woman and I am not joking, even the terrifying Demon King Piccolo wouldn't stand a chance against her.
Which is why I hope that she will not be scared and attack me as soon as she is awake, however do not worry, I trust my instincts and guts and I think I will be fine, I do not sense any ill energy from her so she shouldn't be a threat.
I will send you another letter as soon as I have further information.
